If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the
document, never the canon. Nothing here is applied until it is ratified into canon.
Tier: PROPOSAL (design contract for one seam; no row here enters a registry, a build pack or an
engine view until ratified). Authority: CVD greater than T1 greater than T0. Engine work is
SPEC-ONLY at this date — the runtime lands on the 5090 machine.
Scope: ONE seam, designed end to end as the first exemplar of the substantive compressed-playable
class. It is the worked example under docs/proposals/systems/SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md, which supplies
the type ladder, the data home and the verification teeth. This document supplies no ladder, no
schema and no tooth of its own; where it needs one it cites the spec's.
What this document is NOT. It is not a second typing pass — the other 77 seams are untouched. It is
not a region page — no zone, no coordinate and no culture content is authored here. It is not a
spine edit — CH_03 and CH_04 are read and never changed. It is not a registry write — section 6 is
a PROPOSED-values table and nothing in it has been applied.
The mandate named the Ch 2 to Ch 3 seam as the candidate exemplar. The spec has already typed that
seam and it is NOT the substantive class. The pick is derived below rather than assumed, by walking
the slice's seams in build order and reading the spec's own line for each one.
The slice is Prologue through Ch 13 (CLAUDE.md, THE JOSH GATE), and the slice build order runs
Ch 2-13 first, with the Prologue and Ch 1 authored last. So the candidate set is the eleven seams
CH_02 to CH_03 through CH_12 to CH_13, walked in order until one earns the substantive class.
and should be claimed first. A same-map quest reload on the Flores map, not a cross-map seam. T0,
weight none, and the correct build action is to ensure nothing is ever authored there"
(SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L556-558), restated as build-order step 5, "Claim Ch 2 to Ch 3 as T0. It is
already continuous and it is free" (L822). The ruling's source brief says the same thing harder:
"It is already continuous. Any presentation here is invented discontinuity, and Fork A forbids it"
(FORKC_TRANSITIONS_BRIEF_2026-07-27.md, the slice-seam table). PASSED OVER — and passed over on
a rule, not a preference: authoring a compressed playable segment at this seam would be the
invented-discontinuity defect that FORK A forbids, so the exemplar cannot live here.
seams. Both T2, both npc_crewed (the player owns no craft until CH_08)"
(SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L557-559). The brief: "T2 — the walkable deck. The prototype." SELECTED.
The walk stops at the second entry, so the remaining nine slice seams were not reached and are not
typed here. The pick is therefore not a preference between candidates — it is the FIRST seam in
slice build order whose assigned type is the substantive compressed-playable class, which is what
the mandate asked for.
The mandate's phrase resolves to T2 CONVEYANCE and to nothing else, and the spec's section 0.1
correction is the reason. The shorthand in circulation ("T1 compressed-playable, T2 full segment")
does not match the ruled ladder. The ruled ladder, quoted at the spec's head from
FORKC_TRANSITIONS_BRIEF_2026-07-27.md L281-284 and adopted at Josh's FORK C ruling, gives T2 as
"full character control on a moving platform; the craft drives itself and the player cannot steer"
(SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L41-43). That is the tier with a real playable segment inside it. T1 is a
walked connector with no beats of its own; T3 is an elision. T2 is the class.
Ruling-citation note, verified live rather than copied. The spec cites the adoption at
docs/spine/DECISIONS_PENDING_JOSH.md line 785. That file has grown since; the FORK C ruling now
sits at L2209-2216 and the FORK A ruling the spec cites as line 782 now sits at L2204-2207. The
ruling text is unchanged and the spec's reading of it is correct — only the line numbers drifted.
Recorded as finding F2 in section 8.
SEAM_CH_04_CH_05 is typed the same tier and could have been the exemplar. It is not, for one
canon-checked reason: it carries a live arrival blocker and this seam does not.
CH04_B12's successor CH05_B01 opens atBorobudur and Samosir is beat 5 — the player is delivered into the middle of the chapter
(SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L559-561, carried as a named debt at L865-866).
arrival is "Landfall on Bali and up onto Besakih, the mother-temple high on Gunung Agung's flank"
(TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L56). CH_04's beat graph opens at CH04_B01, seq 1, site
besakih_mother_temple, objective "Come down from Besakih, the mother-temple high on Gunung
Agung's flank, into the villages below" (CH_04.md L112-113). The seam's arrival target and the
chapter's first beat are the same place. The prototype is unblocked.
Everything in this section is read off canon. Nothing is chosen here; the spine and the region pages
already chose.

strategic (Active Concealment); the healer's-child watching-mystery carried as unease; no human

The exit trigger and the entry state are both already committed. CH03_B12 writes
local.departure_bali: true and ws.identity_hiding_status: +active_concealment_strategic_discipline
(CH_03.md L158-162). CH_04's continuity anchor takes that state verbatim, with pressure HIGH at
entry easing to MED across the chapter (CH_04.md L14, L21; the machine assertions at CH_03.md
L293 and CH_04.md L286).
(T1_World_Geography_Master [ACTIVE v2.3] § 11 Travel Methods by Arc, L992). No flight anywhere in
this range; the transitions file's governing-constraints block binds the same rule at
TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L13.

block, which carries the island's coastal port). The Flores region page states the exit as
"departure by sea toward Bali (Ch 4) from the Manggarai highlands"
(flores_island.md L27).
habitat is lowland deciduous monsoon forest and savanna, while the chapter zones sit in highland

routes run the inter-island Lesser Sundas network toward Bali (the Ch-4 crossing) and the wider
Austronesian sea-lineage. Merchant Siti and Trade-Envoy Tuan Yosef carry the economic-web edges"
(flores_island.md L838-840). WGM's Ch 4 entry types the same water as coverage: "Coverage
vehicle: SPREAD (on-route). The Flores-to-Bali approach spreads across the Lesser Sundas as
secondary Wallacea and Austronesian waypoints under the untouched Bali anchor — Lombok and the
Sasak wetu-telu tradition, Sumbawa. Per-culture substrate authors at build time" (WGM § 4, Ch 4).
(bali.md L28). Bali's sub-regions run "the Besakih/Agung highland, the Ubud rice-village belt,
the Sanur coast, the Uluwatu sea-cliffs" (L19), and the chapter's route "runs the kaja/kelod axis
from Besakih on the Agung flank down through the Ubud rice-village belt to the Sanur coast and the
Uluwatu sea-cliffs, which is also a run from the upstream end of the water order to the sea it
dissolves into" (L1839-1841). Besakih itself is at 8.3744°S 115.4517°E on Gunung Agung's flank,
the mountain at 3,031 m (WGM § 4, Ch 4 coordinates).
Flores lies east of Bali; the crossing runs westward (TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L55). Besakih sits at
115.4517°E on Agung's flank, in the island's eastern third. The landfall is therefore on the
east-facing shore under the mountain, and the arrival beat is a climb kaja — mountainward — to
Besakih. This is arithmetic over two canon coordinates plus a canon direction word, not an
invention. What it does NOT do is name a landfall place: neither region page carries a coastal
arrival zone and this document mints none. See finding F4.
The tier contract binds first. T2 gives the player "full character control on a moving platform the
player does not steer. Walk the deck, talk to the captain, watch the coast go by, look after the
familiar" (SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L151-153). It forbids "steering, buoyancy simulation, navigation
technique, naval combat, ocean simulation, and every other element of the post-79 Watercraft
system. The deck is not a vehicle" (L160-164). Every beat below is inside that envelope.
The seam is ONE tier, not two, and the walked descent is not a second one. The spec's runtime state
machine already holds it: "DEPARTURE. The departure beat plays under player control… PASSAGE. The
tier's mechanism runs and the destination streams" (L519-522). The on-foot descent to the coast is
DEPARTURE. The deck is PASSAGE. The climb to Besakih is ARRIVAL. A reader who wants to type this
seam T1-and-T2 has mistaken a runtime state for a tier.
Beats are labelled by runtime state, deliberately. No CH03_B or CH04_B identifier is minted
here, because a seam is an edge and the beat namespace belongs to the nodes.
CH03_B12 has already written local.departure_bali: true, the concealment state and the
Manggarai community read (CH_03.md L161). World state persists, chapter-scoped state is marked
for reset, and the seam becomes idempotent from here (SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L516-518, L533-534).
The player sees nothing. This is bookkeeping.

forest bowl of Wae Rebo (CH_03.md L77-78) and drops through montane forest into lowland

the high-quality habitat, the vegetation itself is the tell — a player who learns to read the tree

choice, not a lecture.
is prime dragon country; the exposed sun-baked ridge is slower and the animal will not hold there,
because "open savannah and shadeless ground are poor habitat… hold or draw the animal onto exposed
sun-baked ground at high sun and it slows, runs a shade-debt, and breaks off"
(flores_island.md L188-194). Both routes reach the coast. Neither is a wall. This is the "pursuit
cost, not a wall" rule the region page states, applied as a traversal decision rather than as a
fight.
pressure HIGH (CH_03.md L282, L293). On the descent it costs nothing — there is nobody to hide
from. That is deliberate: the segment gives the player a full leg of relief so that the deck,
where there is nowhere to stand out of the light, reads as a squeeze.
coordinates: Labuan Bajo, 8.4900°S 119.8800°E) and takes passage on the pan-Flores trade-route

never seized.
"influences Ch 04 opening faction context if good-path assumed" (WGM § 3, Ch 3). The boarding is
where that influence has a body: on a generative Manggarai read the trade-web's people give the
child a berth and a share of the pot; on the transactional read it is a paid passage and nothing
more; on the cold read it is a grudging corner of the deck and short answers. Every read boards.

chapters_present Ch_02 (T0_Character_Index CHAR_0015). What crosses the seam is her rumor chain — what the child KNOWS
about Bali — exactly as WGM frames it. Her voice is not put in a Ch-3 scene to make the boarding
warmer.
Eight to twelve minutes of loop, cut to the stream and extended rather than carded if the stream

Weaver Woman Emma at Ch 3 because it had been tied wrong (CH_03.md L199). On a highland night
there is firelight to stand outside of (CH03_B01, CH_03.md L104). On a deck there is not. The
crossing is the first place the child's craft is tested by proximity rather than by scrutiny, and
the mechanic is simply where the player chooses to stand: windward, and the cloth pulls; near the
cook-fire, and there are eyes. Nothing fails. Pressure is the content.
chosen-bond companion" (TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L57). Shell is CR_0153, the Flores Giant Softshell
Turtle, W1, the first chosen bond of the arc (T0_Creature_Roster CR_0153; CH_03.md L279). The
loop is a no-fail look-after: the familiar leaves the hull, ranges, and comes back when called. It
is the segment's warmth and it is the seam's own authored payload — the bond formed at
CH03_B06 gets its first real use here rather than waiting for a chapter to need it.
corpus. The Flores page authored a payoff with no consumer anywhere else: "Size reads the island.
Body mass differs as much as fourfold between island populations, tracking each island's prey
biomass — an island-scale reading that carries forward as the arc crosses the Lesser Sundas. The
size is honest ecology tied to prey wealth, never fantasy gigantism" (flores_island.md
L244-247). On the deck, the beaches of the passing islands carry the same animal at visibly
different scale. The player who did the Ch-2 and Ch-3 naturalist reads gets an island-scale read
and nothing declares it. Under it sits the barrier the child is crossing and the animals are not:
"The limit that holds is the sea channel rather than a stream — ocean crossings are rare enough
that the island populations do not function as one metapopulation" (L240-243). Felt, never spoken.
architecture-and-unity weaving crossing" (TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L54) — and the links are
already typed: LINK_0119 architecture-proportion and LINK_0137 unity-weaving run from Ch 3 into
Ch 4 (CH_03.md L262), with LINK_0120 and LINK_0138 continuing out of Bali (CH_04.md L259).
Bali's page states the receiving end: the island's seat in the proportion chain "is the
body-derived module — the proportion system that measures a building" from the Manggarai builds
behind it (bali.md L1484-1487). On the deck this is one carried object and one habit of looking:
the mbaru-niang proportion the player learned to read at Wae Rebo (CH_03.md L67, L78) is the
thing they are still turning over when the first Balinese roofline comes up out of the water. No
dialogue asserts a connection. The link is a discovery gate, not a statement.
keeps the watch because a nine-year-old on someone else's boat is given the least useful job, and
in that hour the unease the seam carries surfaces: the healer's-child watching-mystery, "carried as
unease" (TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L58). The staging is the child re-reading a mark already in the
pack from CH03_B12 (CH_03.md L159-161), not a new mark and not a figure. See section 4.3 for
why that distinction is load-bearing.
reads as the peak before it reads as a shore. That is the arrival image and it needs no line.
island's own axis runs kaja and kelod, mountainward and seaward, and the chapter's route "runs the
kaja/kelod axis from Besakih on the Agung flank down… to the sea it dissolves into"
(bali.md L1839-1841). The sea end is the dissolution end: Ida Batara Tengahing ring Segara is
"the sea god associated with seasonal pestilence… the honest register for the sea as dissolution
and for blight arriving from the water" (bali.md L966-969). The protagonist therefore arrives
from the direction the island reads as impure, and then climbs the whole axis the wrong way up to
the mother-temple. A society that will spend a chapter teaching this child that balance is a
discipline meets them first as something that came off the water. Nothing says so. The climb says
it.
both the boat-shaped peninsula and its defence against what arrives from the sea"
(bali.md L1529-1531) — but Uluwatu is Ch 4's DEPARTURE site (CH_04.md L98-99, CH04_B12) and
the approach from Flores is from the east. The motif is named here so the Ch-4 exit can pay it off,
and it is not borrowed forward to decorate an arrival on the wrong coast.
CH04_B01 begins at besakih_mother_temple, seq 1 (CH_04.md L112-116). CH_04's continuity anchor applies (CH_04.md L21). The seam writes no
chapter state of its own.
The card shows only if the stream outruns the deck loop, it is reachable only from PASSAGE, and
exiting it returns to PASSAGE's tail so the arrival always plays (SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L523-525).
Its line is lifted verbatim from the exit beat's player_objective and never composed (L525, tooth
9.7 at L762-769). The measured loads say it should almost never fire: Bali median 3.18 s, Flores
5.91 s (FORKC_TRANSITIONS_BRIEF_2026-07-27.md § 3), which is stream_budget_class = short. See
finding F6 for the one real tension in the verbatim-lift rule.
The spec's T1 and T2 contracts both say the companion talks. At this seam there is no companion to
talk. "Mama Klara stays behind and no continuous companion departs alongside"
(TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L54); "no human companion travels on" (L58); CH_03's carry-forward:
"companions_present: no continuous traveling companion yet" (CH_03.md L278); CH_04's:
"companions_present: none" (CH_04.md L275). The first continuous human companion joins at Ch 13
(CH_03.md L195, CH_13.md L27). Any build that puts a talking companion on this deck has
invented one.
What talks instead: the crew, and the familiar's presence answers without words. This is a design
constraint that improves the seam rather than thinning it — a child alone among working adults on a
small boat is a sharper register than a buddy scene.
No crew member is named here, because canon names none for this crossing and this document mints no
characters. What canon does supply is the register. CHAR_0015's row carries the attested speech of
this exact trade web: "manggarai_daily_register_with_trade_vocabulary_borrowings_from_bali_malay_
sumatra_trade_languages" (T0_Character_Index CHAR_0015). The crew inherit the register without
inheriting the person. That satisfies the natural-voice doctrine's cultural rule — "HOW a person
speaks presents their culture" and names follow the culture's own conventions
(NATURAL_VOICE_DOCTRINE.md L23-27) — without minting a roster row a lane has not authorized.
Four draft player-facing lines, marked DRAFT and string_status = drafted, offered as the register
sample the natural-voice pass will work from rather than as final strings. They carry no tier token,
no system word and no reveal.
islands. Don't. You'll run out before we do."
Poor island. My uncle says you can tell what a place feeds by what it grows."
downhill from it, and they'll tell you so about four times before supper."
Quest-log register, per the doctrine's rule that the log is a memory of conversations rather than an
oracle (NATURAL_VOICE_DOCTRINE.md L11-16): "The trade people are going west to Bali. They said
I could ride if I made myself useful." Not "traverse to the Bali region."
The transitions file's governing-constraints block binds every seam in the range: "No House-of-
Velheim name, family, or organized pattern surfaces to the player anywhere in this range… The
endgame reveal-figure (Ch 76) and the mythological-realm names stay dark"
(TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L16); "The protagonist's internal age is designer-only and never surfaced"
(L17). On top of that:
the next note — the first she does not leave unsigned — Ntala" (CH_13.md L27). Pre-Ch-13 she is
the unsigned watcher and nothing else (CH_03.md L195; T0_Character_Index CHAR_0002,

explicit for the arriving side: "Healer's child presence: carried off-screen — the
silent-observation arc is active (begun Ch 3, unsigned marks), no on-screen Bali beat; the mystery
stays held" (bali.md L29).
CH03_B12 (CH_03.md L159-161), not as a new mark appearing aboard. A new mark aboard would be a fresh
assertion that she is on the boat, which no canon line makes. Re-reading a carried mark realizes
the transitions file's "carried as unease" (L58) with zero new claim. The variant was considered
and rejected on exactly that ground.
(CH_03.md L132, L279).

felt, not declared (CH_03.md L112, L238).
(SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L771-778). The four draft lines above were written against that list.
Josh's eighth-axis ruling makes travel an encounter surface: hollows, rifts, monsters and portals
"are ENCOUNTERED THROUGH the vimana layer… This makes the Fork-C playable-travel canon
(compressed-geography segments, the 78 typed seams) an ENCOUNTER SURFACE, not just a transition —
travel is where the world's wounds find you" (DECISIONS_PENDING_JOSH.md L1970-1979). That ruling
governs the posture. It does not license content this seam has not earned, and the same ruling's own
rider says the derivation must not break the reveal ladder.
What that resolves to at Ch 3 to Ch 4, honestly:
(CH_03.md L15; WGM § 11). The vimana encounter grammar has no vehicle here, so it contributes
posture and no mechanism.
after it is ordinary mortal-world travel" (TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L15). Staging a rift on this

present as an animal on its own business and the player's route choice is the encounter
(section 3.2). On the water, the passing islands carry the island-scale read (section 3.3, P3).
Both are ambient, neither is a rowed encounter, and neither requires a kill.
T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry row is proposed and none is implied. If a later pass wants a rowedencounter on this leg, it goes through the combat lane and the boss work kind, not through a seam
document — which is also what the Flores page says about its own fauna set: the encounter set
"belongs to the spine and combat lanes rather than to this page" (flores_island.md L1437-1439).
belongs to Bali's NORTH coast and the region page refuses to seat it at Sanur "by convenience"
(bali.md L389-393); the same refusal binds this seam's approach, which comes in from the east.
CR_0020 and CR_0021, the Sanur reef cohorts, are Sanur's and are Ch 4's, not the crossing's.
Content bar. This is a rated-R 17+ mature AAA segment and it is not softened: a nine-year-old
travelling alone, hooded, among strangers who owe them nothing, crossing open water for the first
time, on a boat where there is nowhere to hide. The weight is in the exposure, not in a body count,
and the segment is a real place rather than a loading-screen apology.
The data home is the spec's, not this document's: a new T0_Travel_Seam_Registry holding 78 rows,
with the transitions markdown remaining the sole PROSE home and the registry the sole STRUCTURED
home (SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L350-353). That registry does not exist yet. The table below is what

own prose entry stages a named encounter, a named contest, or a named site the player must work
through — which is a condition a script can test against the five-part entry, not a taste call"
(SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L266-269).
Applied to TRANSITIONS_CH02_21.md L54-58: the entry names no encounter, no contest, and no site
the player must work through. Besakih is named, but it is the ARRIVING NODE's own seq-1 site
(CH_04.md L112-116), not a seam site. So the entry does not earn weight above dressed, and
dressed is the honest value. dungeon_class_ref stays empty and tooth 9.9 does not bind.
This is stated plainly because the temptation runs the other way. A designer who has just written
section 3 will feel the segment is substantial and will want staged_crossing to say so. Tooth 9.4
exists precisely to stop that: it "is the anti-inflation ruler — it is what stops the typing pass
from drifting upward into a budget nobody approved" (SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md L710-712). A rich
dressed T2 is what this seam is. Content weight and transport tier are separate axes and this row
is the case that proves the split works.

no automated tooth exists today, the gate says NO TOOTH rather than implying coverage.

Grading note for the honest tier register: a passing run of G1 to G10 supports a STRUCTURE-tier
claim and a GREYBOX-FEEL claim once the deck rig and the two coastal zones exist. It does not
support a FINAL-tier claim, and no report should make one on this evidence.
docs/PIPELINE_LEDGER.md L160 reads"NONE FOUND — no travel-segment build artifact" and "WHOLLY UNSTARTED", and names "the Ch2→Ch3 seam
as a compressed playable segment" as the exemplar. Two corrections, both verified off disk.
First, the design tier is not unstarted: docs/proposals/systems/SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md exists at 922
lines, is the post-critic revision against the W3_TRAVEL_SEAMS verdict with all three MAJOR and six
MINOR findings applied (its section 12), and types the whole class on the ruled four-tier ladder
with nine specified teeth and a build order. What IS unstarted is CONTENT and RUNTIME — zero seam
rows exist, the registry is unminted, the SeamlessTravel mechanism is unbuilt, and no seam has been
played. Second, the named exemplar is the one seam in the slice that must have nothing authored at
it: the spec and its source brief both type Ch 2 to Ch 3 as T0 CONTINUOUS, weight none, with any
presentation there classed as invented discontinuity that FORK A forbids. Proposed replacement cell
text for the director to land: on-disk state "TYPING SPEC LANDED (922 L, post-critic, GO-WITH-FIXES
applied) — 0 of 78 seams rowed; registry unminted; SeamlessTravel unbuilt"; graded "0 seams built
or graded; 1 seam designed end to end (SEAM_CH_03_CH_04, this document)"; exemplar
"SEAM_CH_03_CH_04 Flores→Bali, T2 CONVEYANCE — the unblocked slice prototype. Ch2→Ch3 is T0 and is
explicitly a nothing-authored seam." I did not edit the ledger.
SEAM_TYPING_SPEC.md cites the FORK C adoption at DECISIONS_PENDING_JOSH.md line 785 and FORK A at line 782. The file has grown; FORK C now sits
at L2209-2216 and FORK A at L2204-2207. The ruling text is unchanged and the spec's reading is
correct — only the anchors rotted. Worth a line-anchor refresh in the spec, which is the spec
owner's edit and not mine.
player owns no craft until T0_Vehicle_Registry VH_002 at CH_08" (L167-168, L748-749). Live rows:
VH_002 Coastal Skiff carries an EMPTY acquisition_chapter_id and deploys_from VH_001, the Ch-38
Mothership — it is a mothership sub-craft, not a Ch-8 acquisition. The row that actually carries
acquisition_chapter_id = CH_08 is VH_004, The Mtepe. The spec's CONCLUSION survives intact — no
player watercraft before Ch 8 — but its evidence row is the wrong one, and tooth 9.6's must-fire
fixtures should key on VH_004. The registry also carries no row for a Lesser Sundas trade craft, so
this seam's conveyance_ref is legitimately empty; the spec already records that as a named debt
(L868-869) and this seam is its first live instance.
in as many words: "the chapter_set holds no coastal zone, so no site is asserted for it here"
(flores_island.md L645-646), and its Zone Catalog carries eleven rows, none coastal. The Bali
Zone Catalog's only coastal rows are sanur_reef and uluwatu_seacliff_temple, both of which are
Ch-4 interior sites and neither of which is a landfall. So the departure quay and the arrival beach
are both unzoned ground. This is a region-page obligation on both pages, it is exactly the class
the Bali page already logs against itself ("the supreme temple of the water order has no zone",
bali.md L1846-1849), and I authored neither zone because zones are region-page canon and this lane
may not write it. Routing: the region-page work kind, both pages, before G2 can pass.
types Ch 4's coverage as "SPREAD (on-route)" across the Lesser Sundas naming Lombok and the Sasak
wetu-telu tradition and Sumbawa, with "per-culture substrate authors at build time". No region page
covers Lombok or Sumbawa. The seam's deck is the only place in the corpus where that SPREAD is
reachable. Section 3.3 therefore stages the waypoints as COASTLINE SEEN FROM THE WATER and nothing
more — no culture content, no named settlement, no Sasak material — and names the absence here so
a later reader does not mistake restraint for completion. If the SPREAD is to discharge as real
coverage, it needs a substrate pass first and this seam is its consumer.
requires the card line to be a verbatim substring of the exit beat's player_objective and fails a
composed string. CH04_B01's objective is spine prose in the designer register. The natural-voice
doctrine binds every player-facing word to sound like a person and marks the CH_02-05 strings for
the rewrite pass (NATURAL_VOICE_DOCTRINE.md L19-21, L48-52). Both rules are correct and they
cannot both hold until the exit beat's player_objective is itself re-authored in the natural
register — after which the lift is verbatim AND human and the conflict dissolves. Recommended
sequencing: the natural-voice pass over CH_02-05 lands before this seam is typed BUILT. No ruling
needed; this is an ordering fact, not a fork.
target, then type the two slice water seams T2 npc_crewed" (L825-826), which couples this seam's
typing to a blocker it does not share. Ch 3 to Ch 4's arrival target is already correct (section
1.2). It can be typed, built and validated independently and ahead of Ch 4 to Ch 5, which makes it
the cheapest first proof of the T2 mechanism in the project.
