CANON SUBORDINATION — this document is PROPOSAL-TIER: it serves canon and never outranks it.
The canon: the CVD · the T1 foundation docs · the T0 registries (registries/) · the spine
(docs/spine/CH_*.md) · the region pages (_source/02_Tier_2_Region_Pages/). Authority order:docs/DOC_MAP.md§ 0.
Canon served (structural — the registries this kit's canon rows live in, plus its chapter's spine node):
T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry·docs/spine/CH_13.md
READ THAT CANON FIRST — open it and derive from it before you build anything from this document.
If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the
document, never the canon. Nothing here is applied until it is ratified into canon.
PROPOSAL-TIER. This kit serves canon and never outranks it. It writes no registry row.
The law it obeys: docs/proposals/combat/KIT_SCALING_TABLE.md. The intelligence scale:
docs/proposals/combat/INTELLIGENCE_TIERS.md. The body it fights with is the bestiary
lane's: docs/proposals/bestiary/BESTIARY_ELEVATION_DOCTRINE.md and its sheets. This file
describes the FIGHT; it never restates the BODY. Authors no magnitude -- no damage, no
health, no timing, no coefficient. Those are Phase-5M's behind the tuning firewall.

Silhouette read. Hauling frames on open ground, and a man with a ledger standing under them.
Opener (MHM-G10, the cheap lesson first). THE CREW-CALL -- one call, and the yard's men change station without stopping work. Free, and it is the ring the whole fight is about.
| phase | name | what it PUSHES (nothing pops) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | the yard | his crew, his frames, his ground. A formation fight in the open. |
| 2 | the isolation | BE_0013_S5's evolve-not-swap clause: THE SAME CREW-CALL GRAMMAR, CLOSED TO A TIGHTER RING as the ground he bought empties. |
| # | ability | phase | body origin | tell shape | counter | note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The Crew-Call | 1 | his voice across the yard | men change station without stopping work | any | |
| 2 | The Ring | 1 | the crew closing around the player | the men working the far frames start walking | cover | The row's counter -- 'the crew-call -> break the ring before it closes'. |
| 3 | The Hauling Frame | 1 | a loaded lifting frame overhead | the frame's guy takes weight | dodge_only | EG_0225's own row: D1_COLLAPSE;D2_IGNITE armed, fuel:flammable, loaded_potential = structural. The row's counter names it directly -- 'collapse or fire the hauling frames to take the yard out from under the crew-calls (EG_0225)'. |
| 4 | The Pick Rush | 1 | a yard hand with a pick | he raises it rather than levelling it | dodge_only | |
| 5 | The Open Ground | 1 | the valley floor itself | there is nothing to put your back to | any | |
| 6 | The Paid Loyalty | 1 | men who work for wages and not for him | one of them looks at the gate | trigger_interrupt | |
| 7 | The Ledger in the Yard | 1 | his book, on a crate | he keeps returning to the same crate | weak_point | The row's own third counter -- 'the broker himself -> the ledger in the yard, which is what CLOSES THE CH-8 GOLD-TRADE LOOP the chapter came here to close'. |
| 8 | The Tighter Ring | 2 | the same call, fewer men, closer | the ring closes in fewer beats and has gaps in it | cover | MHM-G10's variant law: ability 2's root with fewer bodies, which is faster and thinner at once. |
| 9 | The Dropped Frame | 2 | a frame brought down deliberately | he calls his own men out from under it | dodge_only | He will drop his own yard to break the fight, and the row's counter is the player doing it first. |
| 10 | The Fired Stack | 2 | the yard's flammable stores, lit | the crew moves upwind before anything burns | cover | |
| 11 | The Run for the Gate | 2 | his own legs | he stops calling | trigger_interrupt | |
| 12 | The Loop Closed | 2 | the ledger, read against the Ch-8 manifest | he stops moving | any | win_condition = REDUCE;EXPOSE, has_nonkill_path = TRUE, threads = T03;T13. Five chapters of gold-trade evidence land here. |
CLASS PURITY (tooth T5). Every move above is physical. No element family, no vril
mechanism, no non-ordinary affordance appears in this kit, because this being's own canon
row carries no hollow row, no lore home and nothing that elevates it. It is dangerous the
way the real animal or the real person is dangerous, engineered up until it reads at the
shipped combat camera. TIMID here would mean BORING-PHYSICAL, never insufficiently magical.

|---|---|---|---|
| the hauling frames | The Hauling Frame (3), The Dropped Frame (9) and the ring's own anchor points all go -- the yard stops being a structure | the crew has nothing to work and stops pretending to | salvaged timber and iron |
| the crew's wage | The Crew-Call (1), The Ring (2) and The Tighter Ring (8) lose their bodies as men leave | the calls stop being answered | nothing harvested |
| the ledger | The Ledger in the Yard (7) resolves and the encounter's exposure half completes | he stops going back to the crate | the gold-trade evidence that closes the Ch-8 loop |

HE ENTERS on ground he owns. HE RELOCATES between the frames and the crate. HE LEAVES for the gate. WHAT HE DOES TO THE ARENA: he bought it, and the encounter is the yard coming down.
care_tier = elevated, target_type = corrupted_individual, has_nonkill_path = TRUE. MUNDANE. The crew are wage hands and ability 6 lets them leave; the antagonist is the gold trade the chapter has been following since Chapter 8, routed per CVD 17.1, and the ledger is what closes it. Promoted from ambient to a rowed encounter precisely so the chapter's economic thread has a body to meet.
This kit is authored ONCE, at Fading. The five modulators of KIT_SCALING_TABLE section 4
express it across the ladder: active_ability_set grows upward through reserved follow-ups
on roots the player already learned, window_class tightens, answer_tree_depth prunes
toward the single true answer, hazard_concurrency rises with the arena rows above, and
phase_overlap interleaves the phase cycles. No second kit exists and no number here changes
with the tier.
