CANON SUBORDINATION — this document is PROPOSAL-TIER: it serves canon and never outranks it.
The canon: the CVD · the T1 foundation docs · the T0 registries (registries/) · the spine
(docs/spine/CH_*.md) · the region pages (_source/02_Tier_2_Region_Pages/). Authority order:docs/DOC_MAP.md§ 0.
Canon served (structural — the registries this kit's canon rows live in, plus its chapter's spine node):
T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry·docs/spine/CH_13.md
READ THAT CANON FIRST — open it and derive from it before you build anything from this document.
If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the
document, never the canon. Nothing here is applied until it is ratified into canon.
PROPOSAL-TIER. This kit serves canon and never outranks it. It writes no registry row.
The law it obeys: docs/proposals/combat/KIT_SCALING_TABLE.md. The intelligence scale:
docs/proposals/combat/INTELLIGENCE_TIERS.md. The body it fights with is the bestiary
lane's: docs/proposals/bestiary/BESTIARY_ELEVATION_DOCTRINE.md and its sheets. This file
describes the FIGHT; it never restates the BODY. Authors no magnitude -- no damage, no
health, no timing, no coefficient. Those are Phase-5M's behind the tuning firewall.

Silhouette read. A man with a sjambok standing where the light from the furnace door falls.
Opener (MHM-G10, the cheap lesson first). THE CALL -- a whip-crack in the air, at nobody, on the battery's beat. Free, and it tells the player that this man's timing is not his own.
| phase | name | what it PUSHES (nothing pops) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | the labor floor | his enforcers between the player and him. |
| 2 | the duel | BE_0013_S2's evolve-not-swap clause: it TIGHTENS HIS TELEGRAPH WINDOWS ON THE MACHINE-TIMINGS. |
| # | ability | phase | body origin | tell shape | counter | note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The Call | 1 | a whip-crack at nobody | the crack lands on the battery's beat | any | |
| 2 | The Whip-Call | 1 | the sjambok, at range | his arm goes back past his shoulder | parry_only | The row's counter -- 'the whip-call -> a parry or distance'. |
| 3 | The Baton Rush | 1 | an enforcer, closing | he raises the baton instead of levelling it | dodge_only | The row's second counter -- 'the baton rush -> a stagger-break or a dodge-roll'. |
| 4 | The Enforcer Line | 1 | his men across the floor's width | they set their feet on the machine's beat | cover | |
| 5 | The Pressed Line | 1 | the workers, between everyone | people who cannot leave are in the lane | any | PHYSICAL, and the fight's real constraint: the floor is full of people who are not fighting. |
| 6 | The Gate | 1 | the compound gate, closed behind you | the floor's exit is shut | any | |
| 7 | The Furnace Light | 1 | the open furnace door | he stands where the light is behind him | cover | He fights where he cannot be seen clearly, which is tier-4 use of an ordinary thing. |
| 8 | The Tightened Call | 2 | the same whip, on a shorter wind-up | his arm goes back and the crack is already there | dodge_only | MHM-G10's variant law: ability 2's root at a timing the parry cannot make. |
| 9 | The Machine Beat | 2 | his attacks, on the battery's period | his exchanges arrive on the stamp | neutralize | PATTERN COUNTER: the answer is the machine's rhythm, learned in BE_0013_S1. |
| 10 | The Wrap | 2 | the sjambok around a raised guard | the arc curves at the end | cover | |
| 11 | The Grab | 2 | his off hand on the player's weapon | he closes instead of extending | trigger_interrupt | |
| 12 | The Floor Turns | 2 | the pressed line, no longer pressed | the workers stop moving out of his way | any | win_condition = REDUCE. The floor decides it, and the player made the room for it. |
CLASS PURITY (tooth T5). Every move above is physical. No element family, no vril
mechanism, no non-ordinary affordance appears in this kit, because this being's own canon
row carries no hollow row, no lore home and nothing that elevates it. It is dangerous the
way the real animal or the real person is dangerous, engineered up until it reads at the
shipped combat camera. TIMID here would mean BORING-PHYSICAL, never insufficiently magical.
| part | moveset subtraction on break | legibility gain | material the economy wants |
|---|---|---|---|
| the sjambok | The Whip-Call (2), The Tightened Call (8) and The Wrap (10) leave the moveset | he has to close, which puts him among the people he has been calling at | nothing harvested |
| the enforcers' willingness | The Enforcer Line (4) and The Baton Rush (3) thin as men step back | the line stops re-forming | nothing harvested |

| breath | his -- he is fitter than he looks and it takes a while |
| vocal | the calls stop being to the workers and start being to his own men |

HE ENTERS on his own floor. HE RELOCATES toward the furnace light. HE LEAVES when the floor stops making room for him. WHAT HE DOES TO THE ARENA: he uses the people in it as terrain, and the encounter's answer is to stop that.
care_tier = elevated, target_type = oppressor_apparatus, ruling 5's human-oppressor layer. MUNDANE. The pressed workers are people with a decision to make and ability 12 is them making it; they are never scenery, never collateral, and never a resource. The antagonist above him is the company.
This kit is authored ONCE, at Fading. The five modulators of KIT_SCALING_TABLE section 4
express it across the ladder: active_ability_set grows upward through reserved follow-ups
on roots the player already learned, window_class tightens, answer_tree_depth prunes
toward the single true answer, hazard_concurrency rises with the arena rows above, and
phase_overlap interleaves the phase cycles. No second kit exists and no number here changes
with the tier.
