KIT_BE_0009_S3 -- Werzelya -- the demon the scroll wards off, and the scroll is the fight

CANON SUBORDINATION — this document is PROPOSAL-TIER: it serves canon and never outranks it.
The canon: the CVD · the T1 foundation docs · the T0 registries (registries/) · the spine
(docs/spine/CH_*.md) · the region pages (_source/02_Tier_2_Region_Pages/). Authority order: docs/DOC_MAP.md § 0.
Canon served (structural — the registries this kit's canon rows live in, plus its chapter's spine node):
T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry · docs/spine/CH_09.md
READ THAT CANON FIRST — open it and derive from it before you build anything from this document.
If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the
document, never the canon. Nothing here is applied until it is ratified into canon.
PROPOSAL-TIER. This kit serves canon and never outranks it. It writes no registry row.
The law it obeys: docs/proposals/combat/KIT_SCALING_TABLE.md. The intelligence scale:
docs/proposals/combat/INTELLIGENCE_TIERS.md. The body it fights with is the bestiary
lane's: docs/proposals/bestiary/BESTIARY_ELEVATION_DOCTRINE.md and its sheets. This file
describes the FIGHT; it never restates the BODY. Authors no magnitude -- no damage, no
health, no timing, no coefficient. Those are Phase-5M's behind the tuning firewall.

Silhouette read. Nothing visible. A pressure on a doorway, and a scroll that is not finished.

Opener (MHM-G10, the cheap lesson first). THE FIRST PRESSURE -- the household's lamp leans, once, toward the inner room, with no draught. Free, and it starts the only clock that matters: the scroll is unfinished and the night is long.

phases -- evolve, never swap

phasenamewhat it PUSHES (nothing pops)
1the night-pressurethe ward is incomplete and the debtera is working. The player decodes and holds; there is nothing to strike.
2the binding-offBE_0009_S3's evolve-not-swap clause: it DEEPENS THE PRESSURE AND THE CIPHER rather than adding attacks. Same two problems, harder, while the scroll completes.

MECHANISM: the demon acts through pressure on a threshold and is answered by writing; element none because the tradition's account is of names and wards, not of elements. The opener, and it never touches anyone.
2The Unfinished Scroll1physicalthe debtera's own work in progressthe parchment has blank space where names should beany----PHYSICAL. It is a person writing, and the fight's real health bar is how much of it is done.
3The Wrong Name1non-ordinarythe ward answering to an incorrect divine namethe pressure eases slightly and then returns strongerneutralizenoneLORE GROUND: BE_0009_S3's own counter -- 'read the tradition's own iconography to inscribe the correct divine names'. MECHANISM: an incorrect name buys a moment and costs the scroll a line; element none. The failure that looks like progress, and it is the same shape as BE_0006_S1's -- the chapter pair is deliberate.
4The Iconographic Tell1non-ordinarythe scroll's own painted registerone figure in the border is drawn facing the wrong wayweak_pointnoneLORE GROUND: same counter on BE_0009_S3 -- the tradition's OWN iconography is the key. 6The Household's Watch1physicalthe mourning household, awakesomeone in the house stops being able to keep their eyes opentrigger_interrupt----PHYSICAL. The interrupt is spelling them, and it costs the player their own decoding time.

ELEVATED, AND NOT ELEMENTAL BY DEFAULT (KIT_SCALING_TABLE 3.1b). 8 of the 12 moves

above are non-ordinary and each names its element family, its lore ground and its

mechanism. The rest are a body doing physical things, and they are marked physical rather

than dressed up. An elevated kit is one that CONTAINS the non-ordinary; it is not one in

which everything glows.

the care read

THE CVD 17 HARD LINE GOVERNS THIS ENCOUNTER AND IT IS ABSOLUTE: NO CHILD HARM. Werzelya is the demon the Ethiopian protective scroll is WRITTEN AGAINST, and this encounter stages the writing of that scroll. THE CHILD IS NEVER HARMED, NEVER THREATENED ON SCREEN, NEVER SHOWN IN DISTRESS, AND NEVER A FAILURE-STATE CASUALTY. There is no ability in this kit that reaches past the threshold, no difficulty setting that changes that, and the fail state is that the night is longer and the scroll takes more out of the debtera -- never that anything happens to the cradle. The demon is never depicted, never given a body, and never described; it is a pressure on a door. The debtera is a respected practitioner and an ALLY, the scroll is a real and effective object of the tradition, and it stays with the household. HL_0121, HL_0002, HL_0003, HL_0004 and HL_0005 all bind through EG_0124, which carries the heaviest care stack in the slice for exactly this reason.

difficulty-mode expression

This kit is authored ONCE, at Fading. The five modulators of KIT_SCALING_TABLE section 4

express it across the ladder: active_ability_set grows upward through reserved follow-ups

on roots the player already learned, window_class tightens, answer_tree_depth prunes

toward the single true answer, hazard_concurrency rises with the arena rows above, and

phase_overlap interleaves the phase cycles. No second kit exists and no number here changes

with the tier.
