CANON SUBORDINATION — this document is PROPOSAL-TIER: it serves canon and never outranks it.
The canon: the CVD · the T1 foundation docs · the T0 registries (registries/) · the spine
(docs/spine/CH_*.md) · the region pages (_source/02_Tier_2_Region_Pages/). Authority order:docs/DOC_MAP.md§ 0.
Canon served (structural — the registries this kit's canon rows live in, plus its chapter's spine node):
T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry·docs/spine/CH_07.md
READ THAT CANON FIRST — open it and derive from it before you build anything from this document.
If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the
document, never the canon. Nothing here is applied until it is ratified into canon.
PROPOSAL-TIER. This kit serves canon and never outranks it. It writes no registry row.
The law it obeys: docs/proposals/combat/KIT_SCALING_TABLE.md. The intelligence scale:
docs/proposals/combat/INTELLIGENCE_TIERS.md. The body it fights with is the bestiary
lane's: docs/proposals/bestiary/BESTIARY_ELEVATION_DOCTRINE.md and its sheets. This file
describes the FIGHT; it never restates the BODY. Authors no magnitude -- no damage, no
health, no timing, no coefficient. Those are Phase-5M's behind the tuning firewall.

Silhouette read. Somebody who was already standing there.
Opener (MHM-G10, the cheap lesson first). THE APPROACH -- he closes to conversational distance in the open, in daylight, and does nothing. Free. It teaches the fight's rule: he does not need a weapon or a shadow, and distance is the only thing that has ever protected anyone from him.
| phase | name | what it PUSHES (nothing pops) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | the silent ambush | he kills from contact range without a sound. Reading the approach is the entire defence. |
| 2 | the open fight | BE_0007_S1's evolve-not-swap clause: it CHAINS THE SAME MARMA COMBINATIONS TIGHTER. He learns nothing new -- the same points, in shorter sequences, with less recovery. |
| # | ability | phase | body origin | tell shape | counter | note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The Approach | 1 | an ordinary walk to an ordinary distance | he arrives at contact range without changing pace | any | |
| 2 | The Contact | 1 | two fingers, laid on rather than struck | he touches you before he hits you | trigger_interrupt | The interrupt is a specific kalari release. Missing it is not damage -- it is a point already taken. |
| 3 | Silent Entry | 1 | a step that makes no sound on stone | the ambient sound of the street does not change | neutralize | The row's counter -- 'break the pressure-point line before it completes'. Neutralize starts by hearing him, which means moving where sound is honest. |
| 4 | The First Point | 1 | thumb into a nerve line at the arm | your weapon hand stops answering | weak_point | The named weak point is HIS wrist at the moment of the press, and the counter is the healing counter-point the row names. |
| 5 | The Second Point | 1 | a knuckle at the short ribs | your breath goes short without an impact | parry_only | |
| 6 | The Withdrawal | 1 | a return to ordinary walking | he stops being an attacker and is a person in a street again | any | Tier-4: he breaks off and re-approaches, and the crowd hides him both ways. |
| 7 | The Crowd Screen | 1 | the market's own traffic | people walk between you and him and he does not move around them | cover | |
| 8 | The Chained Line | 2 | three points in one sequence | the first contact does not release | weak_point | PATTERN COUNTER: the sequence is the attack, and the counter is breaking it at the second point -- the row's own words. |
| 9 | The Tightened Chain | 2 | the same three points, faster and closer | the sequence starts from inside your guard | dodge_only | MHM-G10's variant law: ability 8's root with the spacing removed. |
| 10 | The Healer's Knowledge | 2 | his hands, on his own injuries | he treats himself mid-fight and does it correctly | any | He is a healer. That is what makes him dangerous and what makes him tragic, and the row's own name says it. |
| 11 | The Counter-Point | 2 | his answer to the player's own release | he presses the point that undoes the release you just used | trigger_interrupt | The row's second counter -- 'use the healing counter-point that undoes his strike' -- run back at the player. He knows the same system. |
| 12 | The Refusal | 2 | a stop, when the fight has been won on reading rather than damage | he steps back with both hands open | any | win_condition = REDUCE;FREE, has_nonkill_path = TRUE. He can be taken alive and the chapter wants him alive. |
CLASS PURITY (tooth T5). Every move above is physical. No element family, no vril
mechanism, no non-ordinary affordance appears in this kit, because this being's own canon
row carries no hollow row, no lore home and nothing that elevates it. It is dangerous the
way the real animal or the real person is dangerous, engineered up until it reads at the
shipped combat camera. TIMID here would mean BORING-PHYSICAL, never insufficiently magical.
| part | moveset subtraction on break | legibility gain | material the economy wants |
|---|---|---|---|
| his lead hand | The First Point (4), The Contact (2) and The Counter-Point (11) all lose their instrument | he switches hands and the chain gets a beat longer, which is visible | nothing harvested -- he is a person |
| his anonymity | The Approach (1), The Crowd Screen (7) and Silent Entry (3) stop working once the street knows his face | people move away from him instead of past him, and the crowd stops being his | the identification -- which is what the chapter's investigation wants |

Open ground where the approach cannot be hidden, and the reason the player wants to be there.EG_0081 Herbalist Preparation Room and Grinding Bench -- PLAYER: transient_combat, no care ref. The counter-points and releases come from here, and reaching it mid-fight is a real option.| channel | what the player sees or hears |
|---|---|
| posture | he stops standing like a passer-by and takes a stance, which is the first moment anyone in the street can tell what he is |
| breath | he starts breathing deliberately, in the kalari metre, which is the same sound Raghavendra makes |
| vocal | nothing -- and the silence is the point; he never speaks in either phase |
| opener | The Approach is retired; The Chained Line becomes the opener |
HE ENTERS from the crowd and at conversational distance. HE RELOCATES by rejoining the street. HE LEAVES by refusing, or by being taken. WHAT HE DOES TO THE ARENA: he makes an ordinary market into a proximity problem, and the player never looks at a crowd the same way again.
MUNDANE. care_tier = standard, target_type = corrupted_individual, has_nonkill_path = TRUE, win_condition = REDUCE;FREE. He is a HEALER-TURNED-ASSASSIN -- the row's own words -- so the tragedy is that everything he knows was learned to mend people, and ability 10 and 11 exist so the player feels it. Kalari marma knowledge is not framed as sinister; one man's use of it is. The FREE in the win condition is real: there is someone holding his leash and the chapter goes after them.
This kit is authored ONCE, at Fading. The five modulators of KIT_SCALING_TABLE section 4
express it across the ladder: active_ability_set grows upward through reserved follow-ups
on roots the player already learned, window_class tightens, answer_tree_depth prunes
toward the single true answer, hazard_concurrency rises with the arena rows above, and
phase_overlap interleaves the phase cycles. No second kit exists and no number here changes
with the tier.
