KIT_BE_0003_S2 -- Scout-Captain Poka Puar -- coordination as the actual boss

CANON SUBORDINATION — this document is PROPOSAL-TIER: it serves canon and never outranks it.
The canon: the CVD · the T1 foundation docs · the T0 registries (registries/) · the spine
(docs/spine/CH_*.md) · the region pages (_source/02_Tier_2_Region_Pages/). Authority order: docs/DOC_MAP.md § 0.
Canon served (structural — the registries this kit's canon rows live in, plus its chapter's spine node):
T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry · docs/spine/CH_03.md
READ THAT CANON FIRST — open it and derive from it before you build anything from this document.
If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the
document, never the canon. Nothing here is applied until it is ratified into canon.
PROPOSAL-TIER. This kit serves canon and never outranks it. It writes no registry row.
The law it obeys: docs/proposals/combat/KIT_SCALING_TABLE.md. The intelligence scale:
docs/proposals/combat/INTELLIGENCE_TIERS.md. The body it fights with is the bestiary
lane's: docs/proposals/bestiary/BESTIARY_ELEVATION_DOCTRINE.md and its sheets. This file
describes the FIGHT; it never restates the BODY. Authors no magnitude -- no damage, no
health, no timing, no coefficient. Those are Phase-5M's behind the tuning firewall.

Silhouette read. One man who is not fighting you, and eight who are.

Opener (MHM-G10, the cheap lesson first). THE FIRST WHISTLE -- a two-note call, and two of his men change position. Nothing is thrown. It is the cheapest lesson in the encounter and it names the real mechanic: he does not fight, he ARRANGES, and the whistle is the arrangement.

phases -- evolve, never swap

phasenamewhat it PUSHES (nothing pops)
1the forest-edge skirmishhe is behind a cordon that keeps re-forming. The conscripts are the fight and the whistle is the reason they are good at it.
2isolated, once the marked-tree line is cutthe row's evolve-not-swap clause: TIGHTER DOUBLE-ENVELOPMENT ON THE SAME WHISTLE GRAMMAR. No new calls, no new bodies. The same three signals, run faster and closer, by fewer men.

1The First Whistle1breath and fingers; he does not movea two-note call and two men repositionanyMHM-G10: the opener is the most legible thing in the fight, and every escalation is this same call with a different interval.
2Cordon Close1the crew, converging along the marked-tree linethe men on your flanks stop advancing and the men behind them startcoverAGG-G29's role set: holders and closers, not eight copies. The cover answer is the timber stack, and the row says so.
3Axe Rush1a conscript's shoulder and both hands on a felling axethe axe goes above the head instead of across the bodydodge_only
4Braced Line1three men, shields and axe-hafts, holding a lanethey stop moving and set their feet togetherany
5The Marking Call1a three-note whistle keyed to a blazed trunkthe call comes from a different direction than the last oneneutralizeThe row's first counter -- 'sever the marking line to collapse coordination'. Neutralize is cutting the blaze, and the call stops having a reference.
6Ranged Volley1two men with bows, held at the cordon's rearthe rear rank stops moving entirelycoverAGG-G19: the ranged members do NOT close of their own accord, which is what makes the geometry a weapon rather than a backdrop.
7The Captain's Distance1his own footwork -- backward, alwayshe moves away from you at exactly the rate you approachanyHe is tier-4 and he knows what he is worth. Reaching him is the encounter.
8Conscript Hesitation1a pressed man who does not want to be hereone of them is a half-beat behind every calltrigger_interruptThe row's second counter -- 'turn a freed conscript to flank'. The interrupt is reaching him at the hesitation, and it is the rescue verb made mechanical.
9Double Envelopment2the whole remaining crew, splitting into two closing arcsthe cordon stops being one shape and becomes twocoverThe row's own phase-2 words. Same whistle grammar, tighter.
10Tightened Cordon2the same converge, at half the radiusthey close inside the distance the volley needsanyPATTERN read: their own archers are now in the way, and noticing that is the answer.
11The Captain's Blade2his own arm, finally, at contact rangehe stops giving groundparry_onlyThe first time he attacks anything. The whole fight has been arranging for this to not happen.
12Disarm Attempt2a hand-and-wrist trap on the player's weaponhe closes with an open hand instead of a bladetrigger_interruptprimary_verb = disarm runs BOTH ways, which is the row's joke and a real mechanic.
13The Line Holds Without Him2the crew continuing the last call after he is downthe whistles stop and the cordon keeps closinganywin_condition = REDUCE;FREE, has_nonkill_path = TRUE. The fight does not end when he does; it ends when the conscripts are freed, and this ability exists to make that the actual objective rather than a cutscene.

CLASS PURITY (tooth T5). Every move above is physical. No element family, no vril

mechanism, no non-ordinary affordance appears in this kit, because this being's own canon

row carries no hollow row, no lore home and nothing that elevates it. It is dangerous the

way the real animal or the real person is dangerous, engineered up until it reads at the

shipped combat camera. TIMID here would mean BORING-PHYSICAL, never insufficiently magical.

part economy -- the three currencies (MHM-G4)

partmoveset subtraction on breaklegibility gainmaterial the economy wants
the marked-tree line (the arena's part)The Marking Call (5), Cordon Close (2) and Double Envelopment (9) lose their reference; the crew still fights and stops coordinatingthe whistles keep coming and the men stop moving to them, which is the single most satisfying read in the chapterblazed timber -- and it is evidence, which the Ch-3 main encounter wants
his whistleevery call-driven ability leaves the moveset at oncehe has to shout, and shouting locates himnothing harvested
the conscripts' bondsConscript Hesitation (8) converts: the hesitating man becomes an ally, and Braced Line (4) loses a body each timethe cordon visibly thins from the insidenothing harvested -- these are people, and the payout is that they leave

the arena, both directions (MHM-G13)

escalation, announced in the body before the numbers (MHM-G7)

channelwhat the player sees or hears
posturehe stops backing away, which after seven abilities of doing nothing else is the loudest possible signal
breaththe whistles get shorter because he has less breath for them
vocalthe two-note call becomes one note, repeated -- the same grammar, degraded
openerThe First Whistle is retired; Cordon Close becomes the opener and the double envelopment is live

turf and relocation (MHM-G8, MHM-G9)

HE ENTERS behind his own line and never crosses it in phase 1. HE RELOCATES backward, continuously, along the marked line -- which is why cutting the line is what isolates him. HE LEAVES by being disarmed or by the crew dissolving around him. WHAT HE DOES TO THE ARENA: he has already done it. The blazes were cut before the player arrived and the whole fight is happening inside a shape he drew.

the care read

MUNDANE, care_tier = standard, target_type = oppressor_apparatus. The antagonist is the APPARATUS -- the marking, the quota, the men who bought the timber -- routed through the complicit structure per CVD 17.1, and the conscripts are pressed men whose freeing is half the win condition. has_nonkill_path = TRUE and it runs through ability 8 rather than through a mercy prompt.

difficulty-mode expression

This kit is authored ONCE, at Fading. The five modulators of KIT_SCALING_TABLE section 4

express it across the ladder: active_ability_set grows upward through reserved follow-ups

on roots the player already learned, window_class tightens, answer_tree_depth prunes

toward the single true answer, hazard_concurrency rises with the arena rows above, and

phase_overlap interleaves the phase cycles. No second kit exists and no number here changes

with the tier.
