Driver doc for the autonomous enhancement + cascade program (Josh, 2026-07-08). Survives compaction: any resume reads this + the git tags + the two source roadmaps. Sequence is Josh-ordered. Update the STATUS column as phases land; commit after each.
▶ ACTIVE AUTONOMOUS RUN (Josh authorized 2026-07-08). Block A-C DONE + committed (endgame disambiguation; flagship registries; cross-cultural weave). Then Josh raised + APPROVED (2026-07-08) three big interlocking systems — apply them BEFORE resuming Phase D:
1. Coverage re-architecture (docs/proposals/COVERAGE_REARCHITECTURE.md + EXPANDED_COVERAGE_MAP.md): expand within 77 (SPREAD/LENGTHEN/RESCOPE) — Ch 60->Japan+Korea, Ch 5->Angkor, Ch 21->Korea, Ch 63->per-culture Polynesia+Rapa Nui, Ch 13->Great Zimbabwe, Ch 44->Haudenosaunee, Ch 45->Great Plains, Ch 59/61/62 rescopes; 5 new Thread-1 terms (kami/mana/mu/orenda/wakhan); tatara->Trade 3. STRUCTURAL MAP APPLIED (Chapter_Index/Region_Index/Geography/Threads/Trade); rich per-culture RCM substrate accrues at build-time. FINALIZED 2026-07-08 (wiring-audit pass): the 5 Thread-1 terms are Josh-confirmed and catalogued in T1_Threads_22 Thread 1 + the CH_21/44/45/60/63 Chapter_Index cells (Shona/Ch 13 stays pending, not in the confirmed five); the 4 first-class region-page elevations (japan/korea/angkor_khmer/rapa_nui) are applied — Region_Index at 71 rows, WGM §14.8/§15.3 reconciled from "toward 69/70" to 71.
2. Significance-lens framework (docs/proposals/SIGNIFICANCE_LENSES.md): 33 lenses/7 groups + control-for-relevance gate. WIRED 2026-07-08 (commit 7d31837): /spine-chapter Step 3a + normalize-doc rubric 12.
3. Entity-persona system (docs/proposals/ENTITY_PERSONA_SYSTEM.md): 13-field persona schema/entity + non-gating multi-path invariant + no-dead-end reachability harness gate + T0_Persona_Index + faction anchor + 3 production modes (cascade-coupled: depth accrues node-by-node). WIRED 2026-07-08 (commit 7d31837): non-gating invariant = /spine-chapter Standing Rule + normalize rubric 13; harness/check_no_dead_end.py enrolled in gates_config (scaffold-PASS today, fires the moment opportunity_flags exist). REMAINING: the T0_Persona_Index + T0_Faction_Index + opportunity anchor registries are created at first cascade-populate (a genuinely new live-only registry needs harness live-only-reference support; tracked in DOC_MAP + Tracked apply-items, NOT orphaned).
EXECUTION SEQUENCE (advanced 2026-07-08): coverage map [DONE] -> wire lenses+persona+no-dead-end-gate into /spine-chapter + harness [DONE commit 7d31837] -> the FULL WIRING-FIX PASS is DONE (22 orphans + 44 partials closed; Care Doctrine leads §17.1 in both skills; enrich.py surfaces civ_marks/schools/creatures/weapon; DOC_MAP is the anti-orphan index; commit 7d31837, gates exit 0) -> NOW (post-Ch-20, 2026-07-08): Ch 2-20 built + tagged; all six cardinal flags (D-01/04/06/07/08/09) RESOLVED + applied, incl. the D-06 "Reclaiming the Birthright" age+mastery model. CONFIRMED RUN (Josh-ratified 2026-07-08): build Ch 21 -> GOLDEN re-enrich Ch 2-12 (the pre-full-wiring set; each chapter critic-gated; Ch 13-21 are ALREADY at the golden/v2.5 bar, so NO redundant 2-21 pass) -> RR-22 over Ch 12-21 (the mandatory Range-Review gate AND the post-enrichment DOWNSTREAM weave-coherence re-audit — deepening the early set opens new forward cross-cultural links/motifs/§17.1-reframes whose endpoints land in the built later window, so RR-22 runs AFTER the enrichment, with an explicit forward-propagation grid) -> Ch 22 -> 77 -> Epi -> Pro -> Ch 1, RR every 10. The mandate ([[golden-standard-cultural-enrichment]]): represent each culture's REAL malevolent beings + fairy-tale/lore across L1 action / L2 cultural ingestion / L3 threads+occult; weave cross-cultural lore links; hold the guardrail (real science/history/lore, NO fringe/cult/racist drift — the enhancements COUNTER the erase-achievement skew); honor benevolent/ambivalent beings (the LEAVE set). Apply STRONG + OPTIONAL.
The 22-thread spine is built entirely of myth/occult/ritual motifs — there is NO structural lane for CIVILIZATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT (science, math, law, statecraft, technology, "marks on the world"), so the hard marks are thin everywhere and the shortfall lands disproportionately on non-Western civilizations (Timbuktu/Mali/Songhai absent; Great Zimbabwe a serpent aside). Fix without breaking the locked 22-thread count: add an L2 civilizational_marks spine-schema field + a knowledge-transmission Cross_Cultural_Link class. This is P0 and underpins everything else.
Phase-1a DONE (commit 0efec81): civilizational_marks L2 lane (T1_Build_Pipeline_Contracts §9.5 + CHAPTER_BUILD_TARGET §5) + knowledge-transmission link_type (T0_Schema_Dictionary §4.3) + docs/ESOTERIC_GROUNDING.md + the 16 minor threads deepened. CVD-thesis items flagged D-04/D-05 (not applied). Prose cap relaxed to ~800-1200 in the build workflow.
Spine schema v2 DONE (determined): docs/SPINE_SCHEMA_v2.md — the downstream-pipeline-derived anchor-hub schema (book->region-pages, quest, asset-gen, 3D-world, CVD-alignment each specified their needs). This is the GOLDEN entry template. NEXT sub-step: apply it to the /spine-chapter skill + CHAPTER_BUILD_TARGET.md (the new block list + anchor density + 800-1200 prose + lean-via-anchoring rule), then build/re-enrich to it.
Phase-1b NOT STARTED: populate the empty flagship registries — T0_Weapon_Registry (0 rows; 72 weapons), T0_School_Registry (0 rows; 13 schools), T0_Creature_Roster (0 rows; from T3_Creatures 72KB), T0_Thread_Registry / Thread_Grid gaps; then the 75-boss roster L1. Guardrail + do-not-invent bind (numerical/hard-line/naming stay Josh's; schema + population are alignment).
Status: NOT STARTED. Find where the lore connects between cultures (malevolent-being motifs — soul-eaters, chaos-serpents, child-death demons, tricksters; knowledge-transmission chains) and wire them into T0_Cross_Cultural_Link_Graph + the 22 threads + the RCM, so cultures resonate. Uses the link-class from Phase 1.
Status: NOT STARTED — scheduled after Ch 21 and BEFORE RR-22 (Josh-ratified 2026-07-08). Scope is Ch 2-12 (Ch 13-21 were built with the fully-wired program — Care Doctrine, v2.5 schema, significance lenses, entity-personas, and the D-06 age model — so they are ALREADY at the golden bar; a second 2-21 pass would be redundant). Per chapter (2..12), a critic-gated re-enrichment pass applying: the STRONG + OPTIONAL malevolent-being enrichments (real beings as L1 antagonists / L2 lore / L3 threads); the region's P1 L2 deepenings (civilizational marks, material culture); the woven cross-cultural links; the D-06 age-stage + designer-only internal-age + per-capability/reclamation framing; the full golden-standard bar. Commit + retag spine/ch-NN each. SEQUENCING (Josh's forward-ripple point, 2026-07-08): deepening the early chapters opens new forward cross-cultural links, motif recurrences, and any §17.1 naming reframes whose endpoints land in the built later window, so the enrichment runs BEFORE RR-22 and RR-22 (auditing exactly Ch 12-21 — the whole built-downstream of the enrichment) doubles as the downstream weave-coherence re-audit with an explicit forward-propagation grid; the enriched Ch 2-11 (outside RR-22's window) are verified by their own per-chapter critic gates. Fold the Ch 13/14/15 trailing-cell backfill into this pass, and carry the Ch 20 Murugan-familiar §17.1 review (a deity-name-on-a-companion-animal — reframe at the Ch 7 re-enrichment + T3_Familiars_Named).
Status: PARTLY DONE (build-script §17.1/deity clause updated). Finish: strengthen the /spine-chapter build to require real-malevolent-being + civilizational-marks + cross-cultural-link surfacing; add the enrichment + cross-cultural-lore audit to the RR (every-10) protocol.
Status: Ch 2-20 built + committed (spine/ch-02..ch-20); the D-06 age model applied across Ch 2-20. Next: Ch 21, then per the CONFIRMED RUN (see the EXECUTION SEQUENCE banner) — golden re-enrich Ch 2-12 → RR-22 (the mandatory gate AND the downstream weave-coherence re-audit) → Ch 22 → 77 → Epilogue → Prologue → Ch 1, RR every 10, landing + tagging + ledger each node.
docs/spine/DECISIONS_PENDING_JOSH.md: D-01 (Ch 10 vs CVD "only Ch 57" hard line), D-02 (Ifa/Thread-7), D-03 (Ch 12 raid-agency framing). The civilizational_marks lane touches the CVD thesis philosophy — surfaced here as a systemic note; applied as a schema+link enhancement (22-thread count untouched).
These proposals are built and grounded but were orphaned from the build loop (no consumer referenced them) per docs/WIRING_AUDIT.md. Scheduled here so each is consumed at its phase/chapter, not forgotten. None is applied blindly here: the Josh-sign-off-pending ones apply only on his confirm or at their chapter's build critic-gate.
docs/proposals/L3_SEEDS.md — HL_0047 L3-surfacing appends for Ch 34/35/36 (RCM Verified-canon prose + a VS_CH34_001 Vril_Site row + Chapter_Index time_fluctuation_range cells). NOT build-ready: carries five [DECISION NEEDED - JOSH] flags (storage convention, VS_CH34_001 specifics, the three time_fluctuation_range windows, Ch 35/36 Component assignments) and its own line 53 requires a fresh-context critic gate before applying; cascade is at Ch 12. Consumer: the Ch 34/35/36 spine builds. Wired for build-time pickup via SPINE_LIVING_REVISION_LOG mid-build pointer entries for CH_34/CH_35/CH_36 (read at /spine-chapter Step 6). Apply the RCM/registry appends at those builds once Josh resolves the flags and the critic gate passes.
