Josh's owned library (digital PDFs in C:/Users/joshu/Downloads/ + physical + the sacred-texts.com USB).
This is the durable owned-inventory every book-acquisition audit cross-references BEFORE recommending a
BUY, and the seed for the PDF auto-sort title→region map. Per Josh's binding directive: **do not buy what
we already own / can calculate / can deep-research.** Josh's own note: *"many of them are in the fringe
category so much of it won't be useful"* — so each row carries a use-class (is it real substrate, or
only an authorial-rebuttal reference, or not useful).
Use-classes:
- SUBSTRATE — genuine primary/scholarly substrate for a region/culture's canon; directly substitutes a MUST-ACQUIRE.
- ESOTERIC-PRIMARY — a real occult/esoteric primary usable in the L3 esoteric-grounding layer (docs/ESOTERIC_GROUNDING.md).
- AUTHORIAL-REBUTTAL — a fringe/pseudo source useful only as the claim the game's real-science corrective REBUTS (know-thy-target); never cited as truth.
- REFERENCE — broad cross-cutting reference (atlas / folklore compendium / warfare / shamanism).
- TONE — literary, for register/voice only.
- DUPLICATE — a second copy or conversion of a work already carried under another SRC id; declared so a builder who meets the id on the shelf knows what it is, and never cited as corroboration (the same evidence twice is not a second witness — cite the primary id).
- FRINGE-SKIP — fringe with no canon use; ignore.

owned public-domain primary (not merely deep-researchable). It does not eliminate the 4 definite + 3
care-call BUYs — those are living-tradition INSIDER voices the public-domain corpus cannot supply.
Josh owns the complete National Geographic (every issue since 1888). Primary value is **visual reference
for 3D world-building** — period-accurate photography of nearly every region, culture, architecture, dress,
landscape, and ritual across all 69 regions. Not a text-substrate substitute, but a **production art-reference
asset** (environment/character/prop reference) of very high value; log it as the standing visual library.
