CANON SUBORDINATION — this document is PROPOSAL-TIER: it serves canon and never outranks it.
The canon: the CVD · the T1 foundation docs · the T0 registries (registries/) · the spine
(docs/spine/CH_*.md) · the region pages (_source/02_Tier_2_Region_Pages/). Authority order:docs/DOC_MAP.md§ 0.
Canon served (scanned from this document's own citations — widen it by hand where it is thin):

READ THAT CANON FIRST — open it and derive from it before you build anything from this document.
If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the
document, never the canon. Nothing here is applied until it is ratified into canon.
STATUS: PROPOSAL-TIER design sheet, written to docs/proposals/bestiary/BESTIARY_ELEVATION_DOCTRINE.md
and critic-gated against its ten refusal tests. It cites canon rows and writes none.

CANON ALREADY STAGED THIS ENCOUNTER, WHICH IS WHY THE SHEET IS SHORT ON WARRANT AND LONG ON DESIGN.
The region page gives the whole shape: he is "usable as an aid figure or as a stranger-hunter who sets
the player a hunt in mortal disguise, never a villain and never a name laid on an antagonist NPC"
[sumatra_java.md :320-322]; he is "an encounter that rewards conduct" with no faction, no standing and
no persistence [sumatra_java.md :2845]; and the outcome set is authored in three paths, including a
corrosive one that turns on the retinue [sumatra_java.md :2846]. This sheet designs the body, the
retinue and the reads that make that authored encounter legible at gameplay distance.
TWO BODIES AND A QUARRY, and the elevation is spent almost entirely on the second.
THE ANATOMY TABLE GOVERNS ALL FOUR, AND THE INLINE LICENCE IS SPENT. build/3d/schema/anatomy_reference/
is on disk and every body in this encounter falls inside a bucket, which is unusual for a folklore row
and is worth stating plainly: the elevation here is behavioural and formational rather than anatomical,
so nothing in it needs a plan the table does not have. The doctrine's §2.1 supersession applies to all
four — the table's joint rosters and ranges replace any inline values, and a pose outside them is an
injury rather than a style.
HUMANOID.json, sub-plan human — reference taxon Homosapiens, 24 presacral vertebrae, five digits on hand and foot, load-bearing clavicle, the three spinal
curves, and clinical goniometry in the table's AAOS neutral-zero convention. He is an ordinary adult
human body at ordinary adult stature: nothing about the figure is distorted, and nothing about him is
a horror. Mass, stance, gait: a hunter's economy of movement, unhurried by anything the player
considers urgent [sumatra_java.md :2841]. Resting silhouette: a man standing on a forest road with
the pack settled around him.
QUADRUPED.json, sub-plan carnivoran_digitigrade — reference taxon Canis lupusfamiliaris, which the table notes is the only quadruped with a full published goniometric set, so the
ranges here are values rather than bounds. Local hunting-dog build and size, no scale band applied.
WINGED.json, sub-plan avian — Neornithes, with the table's kinematics from guineafowland pigeon, which is exactly the ground-locomotion source this design needs for section 4's mark.
QUADRUPED.json, sub-plan ungulate_unguligrade, whosereference taxa are Equus caballus and Bos taurus. THE FIT IS DECLARED AS PARTIAL AND NOT PAPERED
OVER: a tragulid is a very small even-toed ruminant with two functional digits, no horns and upper
canines in the male, and the bucket's reference taxa are a horse and a cow. The bucket carries the
posture grade and the limb plan correctly; the digit count, the size class and the male's canines are
this sheet's, and canon names the animal without a binomial so none is asserted here.
huntsman-servant Haji Guru to take a PREGNANT MALE MOUSE-DEER to satisfy the creator's pregnant wife,
and he hunts with A CROW AND SEVEN DOGS [SRC_00228, p. 16-18; sumatra_java.md :316-318, and the
persona entry at :2834-2836 citing print p. 16-17]. The page's own anchor convention applies:
SRC_00228 carries no print-to-PDF offset [sumatra_java.md :418-421].
THE IMPOSSIBLE QUARRY IS THE POINT OF IT [sumatra_java.md :319-320].
and never a name laid on an antagonist NPC [sumatra_java.md :320-322, :2847].
Dairi wherever he appears; the authenticity discipline on Dairi material is precision rather than
restraint, because the language is endangered [sumatra_java.md :2842, :2859].
reads the retinue correctly has read the encounter correctly" [sumatra_java.md :2845].
Katapang in Sumatra and the scholarship argues the Perak-Malay dreaded demon-hunter derives from this
Batak divine huntsman — a good divine servant on one side of a border becoming a feared demon on the
other [SRC_00228, p. 16, p. 18; sumatra_java.md :322-326]. That claim ships exactly as hedged as its
source. The crow and the seven hounds belong to Haji Guru's own Batak account and are NEVER
transferred onto the Malay being; the Malay figure is named as Malay wherever it appears, is never
presented as Batak folklore, is never conflated with the begu ganjang, and NO ENCOUNTER IS STAGED FOR
IT — the material is queued behind a re-citation [sumatra_java.md :326-331, :1142-1144]. This sheet
designs nothing for it and borrows nothing from it.
ONE-LINE SILHOUETTE READ: a hunting party crossing wet forest ground that takes every other track and
holds none of theirs, with the crow running at the head of the dogs instead of flying above them.
PRIMARY — A10 NEGATIVE SPACE. His canon meaning is that he is a great deal more than he appears
[sumatra_java.md :2839], so the design puts nothing extra on him and takes three things away instead.
MECHANISM: an errand carried for the creator is not being run in the ordinary world's bookkeeping — vril
alters real physics rather than suspending it, and what this party does not leave behind is the measure
of it.
cross it and the surface closes as if nothing had. This is the single strongest read in the encounter
because the player has spent the whole chapter reading ground.
on root, no whine. Their breath is visible in the cold and inaudible.
who counts eight bodies and arrives at seven has found the encounter's whole thesis without a word
being said.
SUPPORTING — A5 AGE AND STATE, on the retinue. The hunt is a figure defined by an errand and the errand
does not end [sumatra_java.md :2843], so the dogs wear the whole length of it: pads worn smooth
rather than cracked, old healed scars with no fresh ones anywhere, coats in working order, and every one
of the seven at the same prime age. Nothing on them is decaying. They are not undead, they are not
spectral, and the design refuses both readings — they are dogs that have been working for longer than
dogs work.
SUPPORTING — A9 THE MARK, and there is one. THE CROW RUNS AT THE HEAD OF THE LINE, at dog height, on the
ground, moving with the pack instead of over it. One high-contrast, instantly readable identifying
feature in silhouette at any distance: a bird where a lead dog should be. It is the mark and it is also
the information — the crow's heading is the quarry's line, which is the reading the encounter rewards.
EMISSION: none, anywhere. Forest light, rain light and sky light only. Nothing in this design is
self-lit, and the wet coats and the wet road read by wetting-darkening and specular return from the sky.
that is the design: a man on a road, correct in every particular.
under contact and returns within the same second — so the absence is produced BY the contacts rather
than by suppressing them. A ground that simply ignores the pack would read as a missing feature; a
ground that visibly closes reads as a fact.
They breathe, their flanks move, and the visible-breath vapour is authored — the channel is empty
where the sound should be, and the vapour is what proves the emptiness is deliberate.
folded and never opened during the run. Its lead position holds a declared offset ahead of the
foremost dog, so formation is a readable, animated relation rather than a spawn placement.
change and no ROM change. The animal moves like the animal.
NO BE_ ROW EXISTS AND THIS SHEET MINTS NONE. Canon authors the encounter in prose and in a three-path
outcome set, and the verbs are read from those: PERCEIVE and ATTUNE carry it, with STRIKE reachable on
the corrosive branch and never required.
PART ECONOMY HOME: NONE on the guardian. Haji Guru has no breakable regions, takes no damage on any
route, and has no health model. The corrosive branch's violence lands on the retinue, which is ordinary
fauna the fauna lane owns.
| tell shape | body origin | one answer | counter class worn on the body |
|---|---|---|---|
| the crow takes the head of the line and holds a heading | the retinue has resolved onto the quarry's line | follow the crow, not the dogs — the bird is the instrument | read |
| the pack fans and one dog holds back | the pack is setting a stop, and the held dog is where the quarry will be turned to | take the held dog's side of the ground | positioning |
| he asks for the impossible thing and does not explain it | the courteous, oblique register the page authors | take it at face value; the asking is the test | the dialogue lane |
| the road closes behind the party | the ground is not keeping them | stop reading tracks and start reading the crow | read |
| the quarry stands in the open and is exactly what he said it was | a gravid male tragulid, unhurried | do not take the easy shot from the wrong side; the terms were his | the puzzle lane |
| the count comes up seven with eight bodies in frame | the retinue is not an ordinary pack | nothing — this is knowledge, not a threat | read |
ONE SHAPE, ONE ANSWER. The chain is the ruled non-kill form and a mistake wipes it: a botched read
turns the quarry, the hunt resets, and he waits with the same courtesy for as long as the player wants
to keep failing. The exact pip count and reveal threshold belong to the instrument that declares its
own band.
THE THREE PATHS ARE CANON'S, NOT THIS SHEET'S, AND THEY ARE HELD OPEN [sumatra_java.md :2846].
Take the hunt on his terms and give him what he asked for: the aid, and the recognition of what he was.
Help and then bargain: neutral. Refuse, or TURN ON THE RETINUE: the aid is not given and the region's
spirit-register turns cold for the remainder of the highland. That corrosive branch is real, it is
playable, and this sheet arms it rather than closing it — the dogs and the crow can be fought and killed
as the animals they are, PROTECTED on the row governs the man and never the branch, and the cost is
carried by the world's response rather than by a wall.
THE ANTI-DEFANG READ, STATED. This is a HARDER encounter than a fight. The chain is long, the reads are
cumulative, the ground the player has learned to read is deliberately useless here, and the whole test
is running while the player believes they are being asked a favour.
ESCALATION on the four channels. POSTURE — he stops standing aside and walks at the head of his own
party, and the pack comes level with him. BREATH — the visible vapour of seven dogs in cold air, with
nothing audible under it, and the density of it is the meter. VOCALIZATION — the only sound the party
makes is his count, spoken once when the pack sets; when the count is spoken twice, the hunt has moved
on without the player. NEW OPENER — the crow leaves the ground for the first time, which is the encounter
telling the player their window has closed.
RELOCATION AND TURF: the party travels. It is a hunt, it crosses the approaches, and it does not wait in
a room. Where it has been is legible only by what the ground did not keep.
the Pakpak-Dairi registers are allies and protected non-targets [CH_05.md :246]. Haji Guru is a
SERVANT OF THE CREATOR CARRYING OUT AN ORDER, honored within the cosmology that names him — never a
villain, never rendered as a horror, and his name is never laid on a mortal or antagonist NPC.
prey. He is never damaged, never a target, and has no defeat state on any route.
[sumatra_java.md :2842, :2853-2855]. Every player-facing line this sheet proposes names the figure
as Dairi (Pakpak) and never as a generic Batak or Sumatran figure.
corpus carries NO attribute set for the Perak-Malay Spectre Huntsman: the region page states that the
material for an encounter is queued behind a re-citation and belongs to the Section-13 pass rather
than to that page, and that the figure is neither rowed nor sited [sumatra_java.md :329-331,
:1142-1144]. So this sheet does not list that being's traits in order to exclude them — there is
nothing in this corpus to list, and naming traits it does not carry would be importing the very
material the firewall exists to keep out. What the sheet does instead is positive and checkable: every
authored element of this design is declared as ours below and sited in the Batak (Pakpak-Dairi)
account, the crow and the seven hounds are cited to Haji Guru's own record, no plate composition
places him in another tradition's night-hunt register, and the onward derivation claim ships exactly
as hedged as its source and never as a fact. The invention declaration is therefore the firewall's
working half.
to attended design with a picked concept plate as conditioning, never raw generation and never a
photographic-wildlife template. The retinue rides the fauna path with the same plates as conditioning.
branch — making the retinue unkillable so that no player can raise a hand near a divine figure.
REFUSED: canon authors that branch in its own words, the dogs and the crow are the animals of the
myth rather than the deity, and a consequence carried by the world is a stronger answer than a wall.
Care-tier inflation is a defect and this would have been one. (2) The over-boldness check FOUND
something: the temptation was to let the corrosive branch reach HIM — a divine huntsman as a fought
boss is an obvious and exciting design. REFUSED on the row's own canon, which rules him never a
villain, and on the ontology routing. The encounter is harder without it. (3) The impossible quarry
was checked for softening and kept exactly as canon states it: a pregnant male mouse-deer, visible on
the animal, unexplained.

vocalization channel, the six tell shapes and the gravid-male read on the quarry are INVENTED BY THIS
SHEET as the game's own design and are named as ours. CITED are: Haji Guru, the errand, the creator
and his wife, the crow and the seven dogs, the impossible quarry, the honored aid-figure and disguise
register, the three-path outcome set, the Dairi naming rule, and the Malay derivation claim.

T0_Creature_Roster @ CR_0171 :: contact_register HAS NO COLUMN. The region page's build note rulesthe property explicitly — "species_class folklore, deity-adjacent, contact register embodied and
disguise-capable" [sumatra_java.md :2847] — and the 58-column header cannot hold it, so the row
records it in prose. A schema question for the registry lane; this sheet inherits it and designs the
disguised register from the prose.

region-scoped source attests behaviour for this shelf's animals [sumatra_java.md :380-391], so the
pack's working behaviour in this design is authored rather than observed, and it is named as such.
@ CR_0171 :: mesh_tags.style READS mythologically-stylized, AND TWO CANON LINES WITHHOLD THAT REGISTER FROM THIS ROW. CH_05.md :267 rules it exclusively for the begu ganjang, Naga Padoha, the
krasue/ap and the guardian constructs, and this row is in none of those; sumatra_java.md :403-405
states the qualifying condition in its own words — each being rendered as its own tradition holds it,
"mythologically-stylized only where the tradition itself condemns or fears it" — and this row is the
honored aid-figure the same passage lists at :409-410. So the cell claims an exclusive token the row
is outside, on a being its own page names as honored, while the row's actual register is UNASSIGNED
and owed. The consequence is exact: an asset lane reading that cell builds an honored servant of a
living tradition's creator in the register canon reserves for condemned and feared beings, which is
the one thing the row's care register forbids by name. REGISTRY LANE, with its own gate and baseline —
this sheet writes nothing.
