If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the

THE ONE THING THIS SHEET IS BUILT AROUND. The attested form has two halves — the head that detaches and
goes abroad, and THE BODY THAT REMAINS. This game builds the first and NEVER SHOWS THE SECOND. The body
is never rendered, never located, never named, never entered, never an objective and never a target,
because a body that remains belongs to a person, and the chapter's own care sentence rules that the kru
khmer healers and the community are protected and that SUSPICION IS NEVER ROUTED THROUGH A NAMED OR
LIVING PERSON [CH_05.md :252]. The malevolence seats in the spirit-evil and the harm it does, exactly
as the Flores wa precedent seats it in the bargain and its sent agent, and the game never offers an
accused villager as a target. Nothing is removed by that decision; the aim is moved, and what is left is
the more frightening design, because a hunt with no house to raid is a hunt that never ends anywhere but
in the dark with the thing itself.
NO SINGLE ANIMAL BASE. The archetype is COMPOSITE, and the composite is the tradition's own: a human
head carrying its own viscera and nothing else.
THE ANATOMY-TABLE COVERAGE STATEMENT, CHECKED RATHER THAN ASSUMED. build/3d/schema/anatomy_reference/
is on disk and NO BUCKET IN IT COVERS THIS BODY. LIMBLESS.json is the one that looks close and it does
NOT reach: its single sub-plan is serpentine, a vertebral chain of 160-400+ precloacal vertebrae with
a rib pair on every one, a mobile quadrate and elastic mandibular ligament, and pelvic spurs — a
skeleton, where a visceral train is soft tissue with no vertebrae, no ribs and no axial skeleton at all,
and the two share only the word "chain." HUMANOID.json covers the SKULL and the cervical remnant and
is cited for those. The table's own scope line settles the rest: the PROVISIONAL folklore rows are
declared OUT OF SCOPE because their body plan is a canon decision already boarded, and a table that
guessed one would be inventing creature canon. So the train's block below is declared here, in full, as
the doctrine's §2.1 fallback, and it is superseded in place the day a bucket covers it.
and from that inlet a suspended VISCERAL TRAIN modelled as a segmented chain — oesophagus and trachea
as the first 4 segments, a heart-and-lung mass at segments 5 and 6, liver and stomach at 7 and 8, and
a small and large intestine running as 22 further segments to the terminal coil. Thirty-two segments,
and the count is a design fact rather than a texture.
in pitch. Each train segment carries about 25 degrees of bend in any direction against its neighbour
and about 30 degrees of axial twist, with no segment permitted to fold past its neighbour's tangent —
which is what makes the train a hanging chain rather than a whip. The terminal coil grips.
the design never pretends otherwise. It has no limbs, no torso, no shoulder and no pelvis. It rides at
a height its own state sets (section 4), and it moves by drift with the train hanging plumb, swinging
behind on a turn the way a hanging mass swings.
hanging under it. There is no idle pose in which the train is neat.
trailing its own entrails WHILE THE BODY REMAINS — the tradition's OWN named and condemned being,
feared by the communities that tell it and answered by their own healers, the kru khmer
[T0_Creature_Roster @ CR_0160 :: folklore_attribution_source]. THE ROSTER ROW CELL IS THE SOLE CANON
HOME OF THAT ATTESTATION, stated on the face of the sheet: angkor_khmer.md :186-188 names the being
and routes it and calls it the tradition's own condemned being, and it does NOT carry the detachment,
the trailing entrails or the body that remains. Every one of those three comes from the row cell and
from nowhere else in this corpus, which is why the row's own grounding-thinness note is inherited
below rather than dressed over.
BOSS — the excursion leg's boss stays the devaraja-court official [angkor_khmer.md :856;
CH_05.md :329]. It is nevertheless FACED: the asset anchors rule the folklore beings
"mythologically-stylized, faced as the traditions condemn or hold them" [CH_05.md :265], which is the
clause the L11 ruling turned on. The joint form of that sentence is carried honestly here — it covers
the begu ganjang, Naga Padoha and the krasue/ap together, and "condemn" is the half that belongs to
this row.
the Austroasiatic/Tai and Austronesian language boundary, recorded at LINK_0186 — and it is a DIFFERENT
sub-motif from the tall conjured begu ganjang of the Ch-5 anchor, which is never lumped with it
[CH_05.md :252, :287, :329; angkor_khmer.md :991]. Collapsing the two is the defect the row exists
to prevent.
[CH_05.md :219, :260; angkor_khmer.md :100, :854].
trophic_role reads "vital-force predator" and therow's own note calls that a DERIVED call rather than a canon statement, resting on the landed CR_0154
token. This sheet uses it as the row uses it and claims no tradition source for it.
angkor_khmer.md carries no dedicated Section-5 paragraph for this being — only the routing lines — so the fullest canon treatment is CH_05.md :252
plus the LINK_0186 row, and SRC_00322 MUST NOT be cited here [angkor_khmer.md :521-522]. There is
therefore NO SRC_ id available to this subject in this corpus, and this sheet asserts nothing about
the tradition beyond the four cited lines above. In particular: this corpus attests NO luminescence for
the being, so the sheet does not claim one — see section 4.
ONE-LINE SILHOUETTE READ: a human head at chest height in the dark with a wet rope of its own gut
hanging under it, riding higher the more it has taken tonight.
PRIMARY — A7 COMPOSITE AND HYBRID FORM, ATTESTED. The tradition supplies the hybrid, so this axis builds
rather than invents, and the doctrine's articulation law is at its strictest exactly here because a
composite is where an unarticulated seam hides. The seam is the thoracic inlet, and the sheet names it:
the train attaches at the inlet, the weight of thirty-two segments hangs from it, and the head's own
turn is what swings that weight. That single relation is the creature's whole physics. The western
horror version of this image is a serene floating head with a decorative streamer; the tradition's
condemned being is a head DRAGGING ITS OWN INSIDES, and the difference is entirely in whether the mass
is real.
MECHANISM FOR THE FLOAT, because a body that rides needs one. The being is a vital-force predator and
what it has taken is what carries it. Vril alters real physics rather than exempting a body from it: the
stomach and gut at segments 7 through 30 are the reservoir, and the fuller they are the higher the whole
assembly rides. THE RIDING HEIGHT IS THEREFORE THE STATE READOUT, and it is physical and HUD-free —
knee height and hauling itself along a beam by the terminal coil when it is empty, head height and free
of the ground when it has fed, and the player can read how the night has gone from across a flooded
field.
SUPPORTING — A4 HYPERTROPHY AND ATROPHY, and it is the axis that makes the image mean something. One
system is taken far past baseline and the rest is let go: the digestive train is hypertrophied into a
working machine with visible peristalsis running head-to-tail on a slow wave, while the heart-and-lung
mass at segments 5 and 6 is shrunken and inert — it does not breathe, and the empty chest-mass is the
proof. Nothing here is invented against the anatomy; it is the anatomy's own most frightening fact,
engineered up until it reads at encounter distance.
SUPPORTING — A9 THE MARK, and there is one. THE TRAIN IS WET AND THE WET IS THE MARK. Under any light
already in the scene — moon on flooded rice, a lamp in a doorway, a fire on a bank — the length of the
train returns a hard specular line along its top edge, so the being reads as a moving line of wet in the
dark long before the head resolves. One mark, instantly readable at any distance, and it is entirely
non-emissive: it is return from a light in the scene, exactly as the mata mbere is on the Flores
night-form. A creature carrying three marks carries none, so the head itself carries nothing.
EMISSION: NONE, AND THE SHEET STATES WHY DELIBERATELY. The light law admits emission only from the three
emitting families by their own named mechanism, and this row carries no element and no emitting family.
This corpus also attests NO night-glow for the being — the page has no paragraph for it at all and the
one available ethnography is excluded by name [angkor_khmer.md :521-522] — so the sheet does not
represent a luminescence as attested, which under cited-or-cut would be an invention wearing a
tradition's authority. THE CONDITIONAL IS RECORDED FOR THE LANE THAT LANDS THE SOURCE: if a Khmer or Thai
primary source is acquired and it attests luminescence, that is an ATTESTED MARK and it becomes usable —
and the only law-compliant route for it is a named mechanism with a fuel and a visible cost, carried on
the viscera rather than on the face, replacing the wet-specular mark rather than joining it. Until then
the wet mark stands and nothing in this design is self-lit.
inlet to the hanging chain, and the chain's mass is what damps the head's turn — turn fast and the
train swings wide and late, which is the creature's single most exploitable fact.
neighbour's tangent is a solver failure, not a design intent, and the anatomy law refuses it.
post or a bank and pulls, which is how the empty being moves at all. Its grip is a contact state on
the last three segments with a declared purchase and a release.
rather than replacing their motion.
whole encounter — it does not react, it does not open, it does not speak. That is the horror and it is
also the care discipline, stated in section 7.
THERE IS NO BE_ ROW AND THIS SHEET MINTS NONE. Canon rules the staging in both directions and the sheet
holds both: FACED [CH_05.md :265], NEVER A BOSS [angkor_khmer.md :856].
THE ROW SAYS SOMETHING STRONGER AND IT IS ADJUDICATED HERE RATHER THAN STEPPED AROUND. The roster note
reads, verbatim: "NO BE_ ROW AND NO ENCOUNTER BY DESIGN: angkor_khmer.md L854-856 rules 'the krasue/ap
an L2 touch, never a boss' and CH_05.md L329 records the same as a RESOLVED ruling"
[T0_Creature_Roster @ CR_0160 :: notes]. Read closely, the note DERIVES "no encounter" from a citation
that says "never a boss," and those are not the same claim — neither cited line contains the words the
inference draws, and the row's own next sentence concedes the point by ruling that canon "is silent on
targetability." The spine settles it in the other direction on a line the note does not open: the asset
anchors stage these beings "faced as the traditions condemn or hold them" [CH_05.md :265], which is
the cite RULING_10 turned on when it ruled CONDEMNED into scope. So the adjudication this sheet works
under is: NEVER A BOSS is canon and binds absolutely; NO ENCOUNTER is the row note's inference and does
not, because the spine's own staging line outranks a registry note's derivation. The design below takes
exactly the room that leaves — faced, and not a boss — and the row's blank permission cell is left for
the registry lane rather than written by this one.
This is therefore designed as a NIGHT ENCOUNTER IN THE AMBIENT REGISTER: it hunts across open ground on
its own schedule, the pressure is the dark and the clock, and the whole read lives on the creature's body
rather than on any interface. It is a real lethal threat that comes to the player rather than waiting to
be visited.
PART ECONOMY HOME: BODY, and it is the train. Each break is a segment run severed, and the doctrine's
three currencies land as two here BY CANON DESIGN: a permanent subtraction from the live moveset (a
shortened train loses reach and loses lift, so the being drops a height band and cannot take the high
line again), and a legibility gain (a shorter train swings less and the head's turn stops being damped,
so its heading becomes readable). THE THIRD CURRENCY IS DELIBERATELY ABSENT: rng_drop_anchor is blank
BY DESIGN on this row and no folklore being takes drop-family membership, so the encounter yields
DOCUMENT completion and SQ1 lore rather than a material.
SILHOUETTE FRACTIONS at encounter distance, so the breaks are visible without a HUD: the head is roughly
one fifth of the silhouette's area and four fifths of its recognisability; the train is the other four
fifths of the area and carries the whole read of state. A severed run of six or more segments is a
visible change in the hanging line's length from across a field, which is the test that matters.
| tell shape | body origin | one answer | counter class worn on the body |
|---|---|---|---|
| the wet line rises and shortens as it gathers | the train is drawing up under the inlet, loading | back off the line it is on — a gathered train is a strike being wound | dodge |
| the terminal coil takes a purchase on a beam or a bank | the empty being is about to pull itself, not drift | cut the purchase, not the being — take the beam away | positioning |
| the head turns fast and the train swings wide and late | the mass is behind the turn and the inlet is loaded across it | strike the train at the swing, which is the only window its own mass gives you | strike on commit |
| peristalsis runs the whole chain head-to-tail | it has fed and the reservoir is filling | it will rise a band; break line of sight before it takes the high line | stealth read |
| the line hangs slack and plumb and the head is still | it is listening, and the train is at rest | hold still; movement is what it is reading | read |
| the whole assembly rides at head height and free | it is full and it is fast tonight | give ground and use light already in the scene to keep the wet line in view | positioning |
ONE SHAPE, ONE ANSWER. The chain of correct reads is what the encounter is; a mistake costs the run and
the being takes the high line, and the exact pip count and reveal threshold belong to the instrument
that declares its own band.
THE FAIL STATE IS A TIME, NOT A ROOM. It goes abroad AT NIGHT, so the night bounds it: when the sky
starts, the hunt is over and the being is gone, and a player who spent the dark badly gets nothing but
the knowledge that it is still out there. Where it goes is never shown and never followed — see the
sheet's spine sentence in section 1.
ESCALATION on the four channels. POSTURE — the riding height, which is the meter. BREATH — there is
none, and its absence is the channel: the empty chest-mass at segments 5 and 6 does not move, and the
only wet sound in the mix is the train dragging. VOCALIZATION — none from the head; what escalates is
the village dogs and the flood-forest birds going quiet in a widening ring, which is the world's response
in a radius and not the creature performing. NEW OPENER — the drag-and-pull of the empty being is
replaced by free drift, and the whole method the player built in the first hour stops working.
RELOCATION AND TURF: it owns the night and not a place. It enters along water and open ground where the
hanging line clears, leaves along the same, and does not defend a room.
antagonist, the kru khmer healers and the households are protected allies and never targets, and no
protected sacred site or ceremony is reproduced [CH_05.md :246, :252]. The one absolute in this
subject is the one this sheet is built around: SUSPICION IS NEVER ROUTED THROUGH A NAMED OR LIVING
PERSON. No NPC is ever hinted to be the being, no house is ever pointed at, the body that remains is
never shown or located, and no accusation is ever a quest objective on any route.
tradition condemns it — never softened and never Hollywood-monstered. The design checks both failures:
a head that hauls its own hypertrophied gut and rides on what it has taken is neither a sanitised
abstraction nor a western horror prop, and it is what the record this repo holds actually describes.
The mythologically-stylized register is a canon ruling on this being specifically [CH_05.md :267]
and it is held: stylized for this one, realistic-ethnographic for the communities and monuments beside
it.
take the wa's route of removing the face. Instead the face is fixed, unchanging and unreactive across
the whole encounter, rendered in the stylized register, and it is bound by two rules that a plate lane
must inherit: it is never the face of any NPC in this game, and it never carries a physiognomy that
reads as a portrait of a living community. A face that cannot react cannot be a person's face.
begu ganjang [CH_05.md :329], and the two are on separate chains (LINK_0186 against
LINK_0147/LINK_0148). Any plate, string or mesh that lets the Khmer being and the Batak being read as
one thing has broken the chapter's resolved weave.
routes through a photographic-wildlife template, and a subject with a human head belonging to a living
tradition's condemned-being story never routes through raw generation with negative prompts as the
control.
Nothing was removed. The AIM was moved — off the person the tradition's accusation would fall on and
onto the thing itself — and the encounter is built so there is no house at the end of it to raid.
being a pure L2 lore read, seen only in a bark and a manuscript. REFUSED: the spine's own asset anchor
rules it FACED [CH_05.md :265], and Southeast Asia's most famous night horror rendered as a footnote
is the timid option the standing law names as usually wrong. (2) The over-boldness check FOUND
something and it is the reason this sheet stops where it does: the bold instinct is to make it a boss
and give it a phase structure, and CANON FORBIDS THAT IN TERMS — "an L2 touch, never a boss"
[angkor_khmer.md :856]. The row wins, the sheet builds an ambient night encounter instead, and the
boldness is spent on lethality and on the hunt rather than on a health bar. (3) The sheet does NOT
rule the being un-killable and it does not write a permission: canon rules the staging and is silent on
targetability, so a token would be an invention. The body designed here is genuinely fightable — a
severable train, a purchase to cut, a swing window — and whether a lethal end is permitted is the
registry lane's call, boarded in section 9 rather than decided here.
weight path, the reservoir-and-riding-height mechanism, the peristalsis wave, the atrophied chest-mass,
the terminal coil's grip, the wet-specular mark, the fixed unreactive face, the six tell shapes, the
quiet-ring escalation and the night-bounded fail state are INVENTED BY THIS SHEET as the game's own
design and are named as ours. CITED are: the detaching head, the trailing entrails, the body that
remains, the night register, the condemned status, the kru khmer answer, the L2-touch-never-a-boss
staging, the faced clause, and the LINK_0186 cognate ruling.
design blocks only. The constraint inherits forward to every lane that writes one from this material:
the chapter's reveal state is HELD, the excursion's official is un-briefed and this being is not an

name, pattern or who-frame token.

T0_Creature_Roster @ CR_0160 :: combat_permission IS BLANK AND THE L11 RULING BOARDED THEIMPLICATION: the row likely wants FOLKLORE_FACED, because its spine node already stages it faced
[CH_05.md :265; DIRECTOR_RULING_L11.json § boarded_by_the_ruling]. The row's own note refuses the
token until a spine pass stages an encounter. This sheet writes nothing and records the implication
from the design side: the encounter designed here is exactly the staging that would discharge it.
combat_facing FALSE FOR THIS ROW while the demand entry is IN, because the deciding cell was ontology_class and the permission cell is blank. That is internally consistent and
it is worth naming: this sheet designs a faced encounter for a row the state machine cannot see as
combat-facing, and the two will disagree until the permission cell resolves.
typed sites are the flood-forest and reversing-lake night at west_baray and the household night at
bayon_taprohm [CH_05.md :100-103]; SQ1's excursion payload rides CH05_B10, which is the My Son
beat and Cham ground while this being is Khmer [angkor_khmer.md :100]. Naming candidates is not
minting a key. SPINE LANE.
SRC_ ID EXISTS FOR THIS SUBJECT IN THIS CORPUS. angkor_khmer.md carries no Section-5 paragraph for the being and SRC_00322 is excluded by name [angkor_khmer.md :521-522]. A Khmer or Thai
primary source is an acquisition target, and the luminescence question in section 4 is held open
behind it. Until it lands, the citation floor for this row is canon prose rather than primary
attestation, and this sheet says so rather than dressing the gap.
@ CR_0160 :: tier_classification, scientific_name, trophic_role provenance — the first two aredeliberately EMPTY per the cryptid-firewall reasoning and the third is a DERIVED token the row itself
labels as such. Correct, and named so a later enrichment does not read them as holes.
source_ref line pointers have drifted from their targets: THIS ROW's L838-840 now resolves at angkor_khmer.md :856 and its
L975 at :991; CR_0162's L713 resolves at :729; CR_0171's L2818-2824 now lands on the riddle-master
elder entry while the Haji Guru persona sits at sumatra_java.md :2832-2847. Every citation in this
sheet uses the verified current line, so the sheet and the row disagree on anchors until the rows are
repaired. REGISTRY LANE, with its own gate and baseline.
T0_Boss_Attack_Rail carries 0 rows; the six tell shapes here have no data home, and an ambientencounter with no BE_ row has no rail to sit on at all.
