THE ROW IS THE HARDEST IN THE CHAPTER AND THE HARDNESS IS ON ITS FACE. One row carries a living
tradition's most potent animal AND a big-game drop anchor AND a permission AND a fight verb. The
resolution is not a compromise between them: the tradition itself holds both at once, and the row's own
cultural_care_register says so in terms — "the eland is the /Xam tradition's most-potent n/um carrier
AND its largest meat animal, and the tradition holds both at once ... the dying-eland potency surge is
a MECHANIC, not a prohibition." That cell is the ruling this sheet executes.

The table publishes no cervical ROM and no cervical/thoracic/lumbar split of the 25 presacral
vertebrae, so the LEVEL TOPLINE this whole design rests on is inline: the neck is carried high off a
withers only slightly above the croup line, which is the physical fact under the level back and the
reason the silhouette reads flat. The table covers bone and joint only, so the horn (bone core in a
keratin sheath, TIGHTLY SPIRALLED and carried by BOTH sexes, never shed), the pendulous throat
dewlap, the frontal hair brush, the coat and its age-driven colour, and the CARPAL CLICK — the
audible tendon-over-bone snap this animal makes at every stride, which § 4 spends as a channel — are
all inline. The table's standing caveat carries: goniometry measures the PASSIVE envelope and what a
live animal reaches under its own power is smaller by an amount the sources do not separate
[QUADRUPED.json § unmeasured].
height_m and length_axis are EMPTY, § 9,so no number here is cited to canon): the largest antelope on earth, a mature bull ox-massed and
standing at bovine shoulder height on antelope legs, with the mass carried EVENLY rather than
forward, which is why the topline is flat and why the walk is a long unhurried swing rather than a
heave. It trots for distance and it does not want to gallop; what it does instead is jump.
hanging below the throat line and a pair of straight spiralled horns carried back along the neck's
angle.
SRC_00186 is the only genuinelyRift-scoped record in the corpus and it is a compiled popular biography of a twentieth-century
archaeologist carrying nothing about any animal [rift_valley.md:944-951]. A search that matches it
and returns nothing for Rift fauna is reporting an absence rather than failing.
rift_valley.md CONTAINS NO ELAND CONTENT. Its § 3 rowed-fauna list runs CR_0047, CR_0051,
CR_0056 through CR_0065 and stops — CR_0066 is not on it [rift_valley.md:232-237] — and the only
occurrences of the word on the whole page are two bibliography titles, *The Eland's People* and
*People of the Eland*, both named as books the page does not hold [rift_valley.md:972-975,
:1044-1045]. docs/spine/CH_10.md never uses the word at all, and its creatures_and_fauna anchor
names the Ethiopian wolf, the Olduvai spotted hyena, the Cape buffalo, Rift-lake fauna, the flamingo
cohorts and the //gauwasi [CH_10.md:221]. Both omissions are boarded in § 9. This sheet therefore
reaches its tradition material CROSS-REGION, and declares the reach exactly as the page's own rule
requires — an undeclared cross-region citation is how a region page silently annexes another
region's evidence [rift_valley.md:934-940].
antelope and therefore one of the largest meat animals; the male carries a large supply of fat in
his dewlap; a freshly skinned eland bull releases a honey-like scent; and in the Drakensberg
tradition the DYING eland possesses the greatest potency of any animal, which is why the Game Pass
panel at Kamberg shows an eland with lowered head and crossed back hooves radiating lines, with
therianthropic figures beside it whose legs are crossed the same way
[south_africa.md:250-256, citing SRC_00202].
at distance by its bulk and its dewlap, and the crossed-hooves posture must never be used as an idle
animation, because in this region it is a word" [south_africa.md:257-260]. The row repeats it:
"the crossed-hooves posture is never an idle animation; in this region it is a word"
[@ CR_0066 :: cultural_care_register]. § 4's state ladder and § 5 build to that order exactly.
spiritual potency is recorded as a force that is unpersonified, incorporeal, immaterial and
invisible — Lorna Marshall's words, reached through Mguni and Northover rather than from Marshall
directly [rift_valley.md:450-456, citing SRC_00202]. The page rules its own weight in the same
breath: it is enough to ground the vril parallel and nowhere near enough to build a healing dance
on. This sheet claims no more than that, and builds no practice content of any kind.
corpus is a person and a bull at once, he is NOT fought, he is met with buchu and rubbed until he
sleeps — the region's guardian-encounter grammar and the exact sibling of the Flores naga tana
[south_africa.md:401-407, citing SRC_00265]. He is a different being on a different page and
nothing in this sheet touches him. The row says the contrast is the point
[@ CR_0066 :: cultural_care_register].
the /Xam, the //Gwi and the Ju|'hoansi are three distinct self-naming peoples, never a monolithic
"San" and never the colonial exonym [CH_10.md:3, :210]. The Bleek-Lloyd digitization's OCR has
destroyed the /Xam click orthography, so NO /Xam word may be transcribed from that record into any
player-facing string [rift_valley.md:337-344]. This sheet proposes no /Xam word on any surface and
mints no vernacular name for this animal.
are the chapter's living present and the corpus holds no ethnography for any of them
[rift_valley.md:280-287]. This sheet attributes nothing to them, invents no Hadza hunting
technique, and carries the bow no further than the spine's own ratified line [CH_10.md:25, :110].
channel, the five tells, the flight-and-jump escape grammar, the bull colour ladder as a
herd-legibility system, and the field-dressing beats.
columns are EMPTY, because every attested fact about this animal is a fact of the REAL animal
observed truly (the fat dewlap, the honey scent, the posture a dying eland actually takes), and
because the chapter's care architecture depends on the mundane world reading as real: style_register
is realistic-ethnographic for the fauna and mythologically-stylized is reserved for the //gauwasi
sickness-shadow ALONE [CH_10.md:223].
genuinely reaches for this row. THE CASE FOR THE FULL GRAMMAR: the row's cultural_care_register
names a dying-eland POTENCY SURGE as a MECHANIC, and a staged supernatural claim is exactly what
§ 3D's ceiling says re-derives a sheet under the full five-part grammar. REJECTED, ON THREE
CHECKABLE GROUNDS. (1) THE CLAIM IS NOT ON THE BODY. The surge is a claim about POTENCY — a force
the one source available records as unpersonified, incorporeal, immaterial and INVISIBLE
[rift_valley.md:450-456] — and about what a healer and a tradition read at a death, not about any
structure the animal carries. An invisible force cannot be built as anatomy without inventing an
anatomy for it, which is the invention the citation test exists to catch. (2) ELEVATING THE BODY
WOULD CONTRADICT CANON OUTRIGHT. CH_10.md:223 rules mythologically-stylized to the //gauwasi alone;
a supernatural antelope on the same plain is the mirror-image of the Komodo defect that § 3D was
ratified to stop, and it would be an elevation AGAINST canon rather than under it. (3) THE PLAYER MAY
NOT SEE IT ANYWAY. Perception at Ch 10 stays Neophyte, an entoptic-and-attunement read and never a
tier-6 vril-signature read [CH_10.md:17, :128, HL_0028], and the vril substrate under n/um is Layer 3
and is NEVER declared [CH_10.md:217]. A body built to display a metaphysical surge would hand the
player a sight-read the chapter's own hard line withholds. THE SURGE IS THEREFORE A SYSTEMS EVENT
AND NOT AN ELEVATION AXIS, it is felt and never shown, it emits nothing, and its tuning and its
/Xam framing are DEFERRED BY NAME to CH_13 in § 7. The full-grammar route would have spent A1-A4 or
A6, which § 3D names as the signal that a sheet is in the wrong register — and it would have bought
nothing the state ladder below does not already deliver.
THE LEGIBILITY CONTRACT — stated byte-identically on all three CH_10 plains-herd sheets. FOUR
CONFUSABLE PLAINS BODIES SHARE THIS CHAPTER — the eland (CR_0066), the blue wildebeest (CR_0065), the
zebra (CR_0064) and the African buffalo (CR_0067, whose body is FIXED at
BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:78-102 and is discriminated against here by citation, never
re-designed) — so silhouette-first discrimination is this set's first design obligation. THE FINDERS:
the ELAND is found by ITS LEVEL TOPLINE OVER A SWINGING KEEL — the only body in the set whose back is
a flat horizontal line and whose underline is broken by a heavy pendulous dewlap that swings out of
phase with the walk; the BLUE WILDEBEEST is found by THE FALLING BACK — a topline that drops
continuously from a high maned withers to a low croup, so the animal reads DOWNHILL while standing
still — a fall the African buffalo's topline shares, which is why the fourth ambiguity case below
exists; the ZEBRA is found by THE ERECT MANE — a short hard brush
standing up off the topline, which is the one finder in the set that survives dust, because the stripe
field DISSOLVES a herd at distance rather than resolving it; the AFRICAN BUFFALO is found by THE HEAD
CARRIED BELOW THE SHOULDER LINE under a back highest at the withers, with a fused boss squared across
the forehead [BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:100-102]. THE AMBIGUITY CASE, named rather than
assumed away: at black fill and combat-camera distance a mature eland bull and a mature buffalo bull
are both ox-massed, both horned and both standing broadside, and they resolve to the same read. THE
RESOLVER is TOPLINE-AND-DAYLIGHT — the buffalo's line rises to the withers and his head hangs below
it, the eland's line is level and his head is carried at or above it over a longer leg with daylight
under the belly. THE DEWLAP CONFIRMS; IT NEVER FINDS, because a mature buffalo carries loose throat
skin too. THE SECOND AMBIGUITY CASE is the young grain: an eland calf and a wildebeest calf are both
tan, both budding-horned and both plains-sized, and the SAME RESOLVER settles it on one line — level
back against falling back, checkable in black fill with no colour at all. THE BEARD CONFIRMS; IT NEVER
FINDS. THE THIRD AMBIGUITY CASE is the mixed herd, which is the set's commonest frame: zebra and
wildebeest stand in the same dust at the same shoulder height. THE RESOLVER is the mane — erect brush
against long hanging fringe — with the falling back confirming whenever the topline is in frame.
COLOUR CONFIRMS; IT NEVER FINDS, because dust greys every body in this chapter's hard light. THE
FOURTH AMBIGUITY CASE is the one this contract's own wording creates, and it is stated rather than
smoothed away: the buffalo's back is ALSO highest at the withers and therefore also falls, so a
falling topline does not on its own separate him from the wildebeest. THE RESOLVER IS MASS AND CROWN,
checked in that order — the buffalo is an ox carrying roughly twice the wildebeest's mass and wears a
FUSED HORN BOSS squared right across the forehead, while the wildebeest is a mid-mass body whose horns
leave a BARE CROWN between them and whose throat carries a beard. HEAD HEIGHT CONFIRMS; IT NEVER FINDS
— the wildebeest carries its head about at the shoulder line and the buffalo carries his BELOW it, and
at range that difference is a judgement while the boss is a shape. THE TWO
NON-CONFUSABLE LARGE BODIES ARE DISCRIMINATED BY CLASS FACT AND NEED NO TEST: the GIRAFFE (CR_0063,
*Giraffa camelopardalis*) carries a neck that alone exceeds the whole standing height of every body in
this set, and the AFRICAN BUSH ELEPHANT (CR_0062, *Loxodonta africana*, trophic_role keystone) is
the only body in the chapter with a ground-reaching fifth appendage off the head and columnar
graviportal legs [T0_Creature_Roster @ CR_0063, @ CR_0062]. Neither is ever a resolver for the four
above, and neither needs one.
PRIMARY — A9 THE MARK, spent as SILHOUETTE LAW. Three features, ranked, and only the first FINDS:
own beat, out of phase with the legs. MECHANISM: it is a fat store and a thermal radiator on an
animal that lives where water does not, and the source names its content directly — the male carries
a large supply of fat in it [south_africa.md:252-253]. It is the one underline in this chapter that
is not a straight line, and it is the animal's whole identity at range.
sexes, angled back along the line of the neck rather than swept out to the sides. At black fill they
read as two hard parallel strokes off the head, which separates this body from the buffalo's outward
sweep — but a distant animal's horns are two pixels, so the strokes are checked against the topline
and never called on their own.
thickening with age until the face reads two-toned. It is the surface the head-down hook rotates
around, so it is what the eye tracks in the one shape that matters.
ONE-LINE READ: a level-backed grey-tan ox on antelope legs, a fat keel of dewlap swinging under its
throat, that you hear clicking before you see it.
SUPPORTING — A5 AGE AND STATE, spent as the BULL LADDER AND THE WORKED STATES. These are the states a
photograph of the species-typical animal does not contain.
the neck and shoulders until the slate-grey skin shows through, so the OLDEST BULL IN THE HERD IS
THE GREYEST ANIMAL IN IT, and the herd's structure is legible with no UI element at all: the greyest,
heaviest, deepest-dewlapped animal is the one that will stand its ground, and every other animal is
reading it. MECHANISM: hair loss and skin show-through with age, on a body that already carries the
contrast.
it gets LOUDER AND LOWER as the animal gets bigger and older. MECHANISM: mass and tendon length, and
it is an honest signal — a bull cannot fake it. This is the state that carries the whole tracking
loop in § 6, and it is the only tell in this chapter that arrives through the ears first.
and the freshly skinned bull's HONEY-LIKE SCENT [south_africa.md:252-253], which is a smell and is
therefore built as a world-response — flies, a scavenger line arriving early, and the //Gwi-region
hunter's own reason to work fast. Hide, meat, sinew, horn and fat are the row's own drop anchor
[@ CR_0066 :: rng_drop_anchor DROP_BIGGAME_HIDE_MEAT] and are the states between a live animal and
an inventory.
south_africa.md:254-256].It is authored as a terminal state reachable only from a real death, it never plays as an idle, an
ambient, a rest pose, a sleep pose or a screenshot pose, and the animation lane carries the gate as a
hard rule rather than a note. The order is canon's [south_africa.md:257-260;
@ CR_0066 :: cultural_care_register], and § 7 rules what the state may and may not be framed as at
this chapter.
EMISSION: NONE. The animal reads by scattering off a dust-matt coat, by the wetting-darkening of the
neck after a wallow, by the specular line along a polished horn spiral, and by occlusion against the
plain's own hard light. The glow test passes deliberately and vacuously, and the potency surge § 4
refused to build on the body is the exact thing a lesser sheet would have made glow.
secondary-motion solve and a phase offset from the gait clock, because a dewlap that swings ON the
beat reads as a rigid appendage and the whole finder dies. It carries a mass parameter that rises
with the age ladder and it is the one part of this animal that moves without a joint.
separate surface with a spiral-tightness and a tip-wear parameter driven by age. It has no ROM: it is
fixed bone, which is why § 6's hook is a whole-forequarter movement rather than an aimed one.
pitch and level driven by the same age parameter that drives the coat and the dewlap. It costs no
geometry, it works when the animal is out of frame, and it is the cheapest telegraph in the chapter.
mesh, with a hard boundary at the neck rather than a gradient so that the read survives distance.
is a hip abduction inside ±30 with the stifle near flexion, and the pose is reachable, checkable and
refusable by the solver like any other.
THE ROW'S OWN VERBS GOVERN AND NO BOSS TEMPLATE IS USED. collect_verb reads DOCUMENT;FIGHT,
combat_permission reads PERMITTED, rng_drop_anchor reads DROP_BIGGAME_HIDE_MEAT, and
trade_8_tameable reads QUARRY. There is no boss row for this animal in this chapter — the chapter's
only strike-primary encounter is BE_0010_S2 and its bodies are the buffalo and the hyena clan
[CH_10.md:97, :115]. So the encounter is the hunt loop canon grants a QUARRY row BY NAME, and the fight
is what happens when the hunt fails.
PART ECONOMY HOME: NONE, DECLARED AFFIRMATIVELY. This body carries no breakable region — there is no
plate, no boss, no shell and no crust on it, and inventing one would be the elevation § 4 refused. The
currency of the encounter is DISTANCE AND WIND, spent by the player and never taken from the animal.
This sheet does not mint a new part-economy home for player-closed approach geometry, because
CR_0024_sumatran_tiger.md:372-378 already boarded that exact question to the doctrine lane and a
second lane answering it independently is how a doctrine grows two answers.
THE HUNT LOOP, BUILT AT FULL WEIGHT. T3_Creatures_Tameable § 1.3 grants QUARRY-status species the
full loop by name, and every stage below is that sentence given a body [T3_Creatures_Tameable:118]:
herd is audible before it is visible and the click's tempo and depth tell the player the herd's pace
and whether an old bull is in it — so tracking here is a listening skill rather than a ground-reading
one, which is the chapter's own de-flattening applied to a mechanic. Debe the tracker teaches ground
and is a teaching NPC, never a target [CH_10.md:185]. TWO CHANNELS ON THIS LIST ARE NOT THIS ANIMAL'S
AND ARE READ OFF ITS NEIGHBOURS, which closes both halves of the lane's cross-links rather than
claiming them one-way: THE ZEBRA'S PUBLISHED ALARM — the ears-turn, the head-up-and-fixed and the bark
designed as the plain's warning system on CR_0064_zebra.md § 6 — is a channel the tracker must read
BEFORE the click, because a barked plain has already ended the approach; and THE WILDEBEEST'S ROAD —
the cropped band, the split prints and the scent trail a herd leaves, designed on
CR_0065_blue_wildebeest.md § 6 — is the ground evidence that says where the grazing pressure went and
therefore where an eland herd is not.
margin's cover is thin [rift_valley.md:76, :225-228], and the zebra herd standing with the eland is
the approach's actual opponent — see the CROSS-SHEET NOTE below.
at the drop table's rarity grades, against the row's own anchor. The honey scent arrives here and the
scavenger line arrives with it.
it moves, and the community that shares the range remembers who took what" [§ 1.3]. The nearest
existing data home is ws.community_state_per_region for rift_valley, which the chapter's own fork
already writes and which the Ch 59-65 revisit renderer already reads [rift_valley.md:48, :839-841;
T0_Worldstate_Variables @ WS_019]. § 9 boards the absence of a range-thinning cell.
completionist path, and DOCUMENT is the row's own FIRST verb. No Beastiary entry, quest or reward in
this chapter sits behind a kill.
THE COUNTER-CLASS COLUMN IS FILLED AFFIRMATIVELY AND NO NEW VOCABULARY IS MINTED. The ruled template
carries exactly three counter classes — dodge-only, parry-only and elemental-neutralize — and they are
classes of ANSWER TO AN ATTACK. FOUR OF THE FIVE SHAPES BELOW ARE NOT ATTACKS: they are an assessment,
an audio state, an alarm and an escape, and none of them comes at the player, so none of them carries a
class from the ruled three and the sheet says so rather than inventing a fourth, fifth and sixth name
for the blank. Only the head-down hook is an attack, and it takes a ruled class.

NO SHAPE CARRIES TWO ANSWERS. The three flight shapes are separated by two visible facts — whether the
feet are still, whether the mass goes UP — and the player learns both for free in the first minute of
any approach. THE CROSS-CREATURE LESSON IS NAMED: head-up-and-planted means the window is open,
mass-going-vertical means the window is gone, and that pairing is the arc's first teaching of the
difference between an animal assessing and an animal leaving.
THE ESCALATION, ON THE FOUR CHANNELS. POSTURE — grazing head-down, to the head-up hold, to the bounce,
to the whole herd turned one way. BREATH — the flank pump visible on a run herd, and the old bull's
breath the last to settle. VOCALIZATION — the click, which is this animal's voice for design purposes:
a slow walking tick becomes a rattle and then a wall of overlapping clicks from a moving herd, and that
wall is a sound a player will learn to hate. NEW OPENER — the standing jump, which never appears in any
state but the last.
THE OPENER AND ITS VARIANTS: the root is THE HEAD UP, the most legible and least punishing thing in the
encounter. The click quickening is the same state published through a second channel; the bounce is the
same state with the feet added; the jump is the bounce with a destination. A player who learned the
root reads all four.
RELOCATION AND TURF, AN INFERENCE AND LABELLED AS ONE. Canon publishes a compressed plain-margin transit
band and a five-segment lake corridor as geography [rift_valley.md:74, :76, :166-171]. Reading that
geography as this animal's turf — a herd that is NOT resident, that has moved by the time the player
returns, and that must be found again rather than revisited — is this sheet's inference from the
corridor's shape, not a canon statement about the eland. It makes this the one body in the chapter the
player goes to rather than comes back to.
CROSS-SHEET NOTE, AND IT IS THE LANE'S CONNECTIVE TISSUE: the approach's real opponent is the zebra
herd standing in the same grass, whose alarm is designed as the plain's published-warning system on
CR_0064_zebra.md § 6. An eland approach that ignores the zebra fails, and that is the same three-row
set the legibility contract above is written for.
animal — the doctrine rules it in terms, ORDINARY_FAUNA carries no collective claim and a lane must
not re-apply collective protection to game animals [doctrine part five]. The chapter's protected
peoples are nowhere near the target position: combat routes only to the //gauwasi, permitted fauna
and the protagonist's own astral trial, and never the /Xam, //Gwi or Ju|'hoansi
[CH_10.md:59, :204, HL_0003, HL_0123]. The Hadza, Sandawe and Maasai are protected communities and
combat never routes through them [rift_valley.md:367-372]. Nothing in this sheet puts a person in a
target position, and no shaman, elder or tracker appears anywhere in it except as a teacher.

L542 (Ch 13) reads "KEYSTONE plus OBSERVE tier with CVD §6 application", the row's OWN notes cell
reads "keystone + OBSERVE with CVD §6 application", and south_africa.md:250-251 reads
"sacred-inviolate and never a combat target". Against those, the LIVE row reads QUARRY, PERMITTED,
DOCUMENT;FIGHT and DROP_BIGGAME_HIDE_MEAT, and the row's own cultural_care_register — the newest
and most specific cell on the subject — rules the reading explicitly: the tradition holds both at
once, and the potency surge is a MECHANIC, NOT A PROHIBITION. THIS SHEET BUILDS THE HUNT, on four
grounds. (1) THE LIVE CELLS DECIDE, and the L11 ruled state says so: combat_permission PERMITTED
reaches IN_SCOPE as SELF_EVIDENT_IN_THE_GROUND and QUARRY carries NO_REACH per RULING_9. (2) CANON'S
OWN PROTECTED-REGISTER LIST DOES NOT CONTAIN THIS CHAPTER. T3_Creatures_Tameable § 4.1 L230
enumerates the chapters whose community-and-species relationship establishes the protected register —
Ch 11 Baka-honeyguide, Ch 12 Vodun-python, Ch 29 Sámi-reindeer, Ch 42 Haiti, Ch 57 Australia — and
NEITHER CH_10 NOR CH_13 IS ON IT. The absence is the ruling, exactly as it was on
CR_0024_sumatran_tiger.md:278-286. (3) CANON'S OWN HUNT CLAUSE NAMES ITS OWN EXCEPTION AND THIS ROW
IS NOT IT: the seven-observation chain "is the ONLY path for species a tradition genuinely does not
take" [§ 1.3 L118] — and this tradition DOES take this animal, which is the whole content of
south_africa.md:250-260. (4) CVD § 6 IS A DEPICTION STANDARD, NOT A PROHIBITION: it requires
documented substrate, respectful artistic depiction, protection of COMMUNITIES from combat framing,
respectful ritual depiction, and no reproduction of registered cultural property [CVD § 6.1
L276-L280]. Every one of those is satisfied here and none of them bars a hunt. THE CONTRADICTION IS
BOARDED IN § 9 FOR THE DIRECTOR AND THE REGISTRY LANE; this sheet writes no cell either way, and it
is reversible by measurement — if a later canon pass lands OBSERVE on the permission cell, the hunt
is withdrawn and the seven-observation chain is already written above as the surviving path.
DISPATCHED HERE RATHER THAN LEFT FOR A CRITIC TO FIND. FIRST: rift_valley.md:516-518 enumerates
this chapter's encounters as three and only three — "The single combat encounter is a territorial
animal that withdraws rather than dying, the main encounter is a perception protocol in which damage
is impossible by design, and the third is a trial against the self." SECOND: docs/spine/CH_10.md:98
reads "ambient threats: none beyond BE_0010_S2". DISPATCHED ON SCOPE, THREE WAYS. (1) A QUARRY
COLLECT-LOOP IS NOT AN ENCOUNTER ROW. Both surfaces enumerate STAGED ENCOUNTERS and AMBIENT THREATS —
things that come at the player — and a hunt the player initiates against a fleeing herbivore is
neither: it has no boss row, no kit_ref, no phase structure and no threat posture, and the animal's
whole grammar in § 6 is leaving. Counting it as a fourth encounter would be counting foraging as one
too. (2) THE CHAPTER'S OWN COMBAT-ROUTING CLAUSE ALREADY ADMITS IT BY CLASS. Combat at Ch 10 routes
to "the //gauwasi death-spirit shadow the tradition itself battles, PERMITTED FAUNA, and the
protagonist's own astral trial" [CH_10.md:59, repeated at :204] — permitted fauna is a named routing
class rather than a single encounter, and this row is the chapter's only combat_permission
PERMITTED body. (3) THE ROW ITSELF SAYS WHAT THE LOOP IS, AND IT IS QUOTED THROUGH RATHER THAN
PARAPHRASED: "The hunt is the chapter's signature L1 loop"
[T0_Creature_Roster @ CR_0066 :: cultural_care_register]. An L1 loop is the layer the region page's
own three-encounter sentence does not speak to. THE TENSION IS REAL AT THE PAGE'S GRAIN and § 9 boards
it for the REGION-PAGE LANE: a page that enumerates three encounters and a roster that carries a
permitted quarry animal on the same chapter want one sentence between them, and this lane does not
write region pages.
chapters_present reads CH_10;CH_13.THIS SHEET BUILDS WHAT CH_10 STAGES: the era-present plains body, the hunt loop, the drop, the state
ladder, the dying state as a gated terminal pose. CH_13 OWNS, AND THIS SHEET DOES NOT TOUCH: the
/Xam Drakensberg treatment against the /Xam primary-source corpus [T3_Creatures_Tameable:228], the
Game Pass panel at Kamberg and its crossed-legged therianthropic figures [south_africa.md:254-256],
the OBSERVE-tier framing that page carries, and the tuning and systems home of the dying-eland
potency surge as a mechanic. The pattern is the Nile-crocodile scope note's — a Rift population held
as its own cohort with the tradition's full weight paid off at its own chapter
[T3_Creatures_Tameable:447] — and a CH_13 sheet inherits this one's anatomy, contract and ladder
and re-derives only the register.
present is the Hadza, Sandawe and Maasai Rift; the Southern-San continuity is REACHED through a
fluctuation current and is nine thousand kilometres away in real ground; and the two registers are
never narrated as one continuous people or one continuous practice [rift_valley.md:358-360, :88-95;
CH_10.md:9]. SO: the CH_10 hunt is staged in the ERA-PRESENT Rift and is never given a /Xam n/um
framing on that ground, because narrating a Rift hunt as a /Xam trance-hunt is precisely the
flattening the chapter's living-fossil firewall exists to bar. The potency reading belongs to the
continuity stratum and to CH_13, and this sheet keeps it there.
serengeti_plain_margin (protected false, functions traversal and COMBAT, ambient_threat moderate) and on the
olduvai_gorge approach (protected false) [rift_valley.md:70, :76]. It does NOT live at
lake_eyasi_shore, at juhoansi_camp or at san_rock_art_panels, all three protected true
[rift_valley.md:71-73] — and the Eyasi beat is additionally ruled to contain NO TRANSACTION at all:
nothing unlocked, nothing traded, and the reward is that the valley stops being empty
[rift_valley.md:820-824]. A hunt staged on the Hadza's own shore would break that beat's whole
design as well as its protection.
ontology_class is EMPTY and stays EMPTY. Its derivation is DERIVED_NOT_LANDEDbehind FORK 7 by the L6 ruling; this sheet designs to ordinary fauna carrying a real cultural STATUS,
exactly as CR_0024_sumatran_tiger.md:276-277 did, and writes nothing.
photographic-wildlife defect — a real African antelope with a realistic-ethnographic style cell is
one careless prompt away from the brief that produced this doctrine's founding documentary lizard —
and the dewlap-and-topline finder is a silhouette contract a wildlife-reference prompt will average
away. A plate that shows a generic antelope has failed.
(1) TIMID: SHOULD THE HUNT HAVE BEEN CUT because this is the most culturally loaded animal in the
African belt? REFUSED, and the four cited grounds are above. Cutting it would have been care-tier
inflation applied to a game animal, it would have left the chapter's one QUARRY row with nothing to
quarry, and it would have contradicted the tradition's own account — the DYING eland is the greatest
potency, and a tradition whose central image is a dying animal is not a tradition that does not kill
it. Erring toward omission is the more costly error here, not the safer one.
(2) TIMID: SHOULD THE DYING STATE HAVE BEEN CUT so no player ever sees the crossed hooves? REFUSED,
and the tool is the one canon already chose: the state is BUILT and it is GATED. Canon's own order is
not "never show it", it is "never make it an idle", because in this region it is a word
[south_africa.md:257-260]. Deleting the word would be a bigger erasure than misusing it, and the
gate is the respectful form.
(3) BOLD: SHOULD THE ELEVATION HAVE GONE FURTHER — a supernatural body, a scale band, a visible
potency? REFUSED on canon, in § 4, with three checkable grounds. The doctrine's own note applies
exactly: timid here would mean BORING-PHYSICAL, never insufficiently magical, so the boldness was
spent on the click, the flight-and-jump grammar and the state ladder, which is where a real animal
can carry it.
(4) BOLD: SHOULD A PANEL-SIDE ELAND HAVE BEEN DESIGNED at san_rock_art_panels? REFUSED, and this
one is a hard line rather than a preference: the panels are protected sacred art, reference-built as
type-accurate composition and never reproduced as replicas of actual documented panels
[rift_valley.md:558-561, HL_0007], and the page states plainly that the specific panels are not
anchored and none is described on it as though it were [rift_valley.md:393-396]. This sheet
designs an ANIMAL and never a panel.
(5) BOLD: SHOULD A RUTTING OR TERRITORIAL BULL BE ABLE TO INITIATE, rather than only ever answering a
player who cornered or wounded him? RULED YES, GATED, and the pass is recorded because the first issue
of § 6 quietly assumed no. The timid reading is that a fleeing herbivore never comes at anybody, and
it is wrong on the animal: a mature bull in hard rut is the one state in which this body advances on
something, and a design in which the largest antelope on earth can never once make the first move is
the agency test failing in slow motion. THE GATE, stated so it is a design and not a licence: the
initiation is available ONLY in the rut state, ONLY to a greyest-band bull off § 4's colour ladder,
and ONLY when the player has put themselves between him and his cows — the same
stay-out-of-the-line rule the zebra stallion's driving posture teaches on CR_0064_zebra.md § 6, met
here with teeth. IT ADDS NO NEW SHAPE AND § 6'S TABLE IS UNCHANGED: what the state changes is WHICH
SHAPE OPENS — the head-down hook becomes the opener instead of the last resort, its wind is longer
because he is advertising rather than reacting, and the click drops to a deep deliberate beat that is
audible long before he is in range. The one answer is the same one answer, so the one-answer test is
untouched. NO CELL CARRIES A RUT OR SEASON STATE; temperament_prior is the nearest home and is
already boarded EMPTY in § 9.

an escape verb with a landing-side answer; the honey-scent scavenger line; the nomadic-turf inference;
and the zebra-alarm cross-sheet coupling are INVENTED BY THIS SHEET as the game's own and are not
claimed as anything any source says. The fat dewlap, the honey scent, the size, the dying posture and
its meaning, the potency concept and its exact evidentiary weight, the QUARRY grade, the hunt loop's
five stages and its consequence sentence, and the protected-register chapter list are CITED. The
skeleton, joint roster, ROM, gait and rig conformance are DERIVED from QUADRUPED.json and cited
there; the level topline, the horn form, the dewlap, the brush, the coat and the click's mechanism
are inline AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY on the table's declared silences.
