THE TAME GRADE AT A CHAPTER WITH NO HOME BASE, READ HONESTLY — the same read this lane performs on
CR_0062 and stated here so neither sheet depends on the other. TAME is "Chao Garden passive companion
eligible; Animal Communication low-threshold bonding accessible; Beastiary entry fillable through
bond-lite interactions" [T3_Creatures_Tameable:98], and the bond-lite tier's own home is a trade
compound's garden space [T3_Creatures_Tameable:128]. CH_10 ROOTS NO HOME BASE AND OPENS NO NEW BOND:
"no home base here; substrate seeds only" [CH_10.md:236], "no new bond at Ch 10" [CH_10.md:237],
"homes_established: none new" [CH_10.md:260], and the page concurs [rift_valley.md:845-847]. The grade
at Ch 10 is therefore a RELATIONSHIP THE CHAPTER OFFERS AND DOES NOT CONSUMMATE: the approach is
playable, nothing is bonded in the valley. The tier's missing data home is re-boarded in § 9
[CR_0027_sun_bear.md:302-304].
DERIVED FROM THE ANATOMY REFERENCE TABLE, NOT DECLARED INLINE, WITH ONE SUBSTITUTION DECLARED ON THE

unguligrade artiodactyl on the same plan — two weight-bearing digits, a cannon bone from fused
metacarpals, a fused radius and ulna — so the bucket's ranges are carried here as BOUNDS with the
substitution declared, which is the same discipline the table itself applies when it transfers
canine ranges to felids as bounds rather than values [QUADRUPED.json §
sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade.reference_taxon], and the same discipline the landed CR_0027 sheet
applies to a plantigrade ursid [CR_0027_sun_bear.md:48-55]. Everything the bucket does not publish is

P3 in place of digits; femur → tibia → tarsus → metatarsus → toes; tail_00 off the pelvis. Every _L
bone carries an identical _R sibling [§ sub_plans.ungulate_unguligrade.skeleton, which declares
itself "as carnivoran_digitigrade" plus its overrides, and § sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade.mirror_rule,
which is where the mirror rule actually lives — the ungulate sub-plan publishes none, and the anchor
is made precise here for the same reason FIX-1 makes it precise on CR_0062].
scapula slides on the ribcage through ±25 degrees protraction/retraction and ±15 rotation, and a rig
that parents the humerus straight to the spine loses the whole first third of the stride [DYCE2010,
SISSON1975]; glenohumeral flexion/extension 57 to 165, abduction/adduction ±20, axial rotation ±15
[JAEGER2002, MILLERS2013]; elbow 36 to 165 with pronation/supination locked at [0, 0] by radioulnar
fusion [SISSON1975]; carpus 90 to 180 with a HARD STOP at 180 and no hyperextension, ever
[DENOIX2014]; hip 50 to 162; stifle 42 to 162; hock 39 to 165 and NEVER hyperextending; the fetlock
is the primary elastic element and freezing it kills the gallop [CLAYTON2013]; intervertebral
thoracolumbar per joint at sagittal ±8, lateral ±6, axial ±4 — MAMMALIAN SPINES BEND SAGITTALLY AND

gait set publishes the pace as "lateral couplets LH+LF, RH+RF" at duty factor 0.35-0.5 and fore-lag
0-10 per cent [§ gait.symmetrical.pace], which is this animal's signature walking gait and needs no
inline declaration at all. The sub-plan adds the canter, a three-beat asymmetrical gait with a
defined lead, and uses the TRANSVERSE gallop — hind and fore leading on OPPOSITE sides
[§ gait.asymmetrical.transverse_gallop; § sub_plans.ungulate_unguligrade.gait].

cite instead [rift_valley.md:245-252]: SEVEN cervical vertebrae — the mammalian count, unchanged,
each one enormously elongated, which is the whole fact of this animal and is exactly what the
bucket's silence on cervical ROM leaves out; a FIRST THORACIC that behaves as an eighth cervical,
giving the base of the neck a hinge the plan does not otherwise have and the animal its reach both
up and down; a vertebral count of 7 cervical, 14 thoracic and 5 lumbar against the sub-plan's
declared 25 presacral, which the substitution above already licenses as a bound rather than a value;
OSSICONES — ossified cartilage fused to the skull, skin-and-hair covered, never shed, present in both
sexes and NOT horn, NOT antler, so neither the bovid horn-sheath model nor a shed cycle applies; a
forelimb longer than the hindlimb, which is what makes the topline slope; and a nuchal ligament
running the length of the neck as the passive structure that holds it up, so a rig that drives the
neck purely by muscle will make it hang wrong.

seconds to enter and seconds to leave, and the only committed state this animal has; and THE NECK

five metres and more off the ground — the tallest silhouette in the game's roster and the one that
sees furthest. height_m is EMPTY on the row and § 9 boards it. The pace is the default walk and it
is why the animal reads as slow when it is not; the gallop is a transverse gallop with the NECK
SWINGING AS A COUNTERWEIGHT through every stride, which is the single motion that tells a viewer
this is a giraffe with the coat removed.
posts, sloping continuously from a high shoulder to a low hip, with a fifth and longer post rising
from the front of the wedge and ending in a head broader than the post it stands on.
THIS ROW IS THE CLEANEST CASE OF IT IN THE CHAPTER. folklore_behavior_substrate,
folklore_attribution_source, cultural_care_register AND cultural_significance are ALL EMPTY.
There is no tradition to cite because the row asserts nothing, and inventing one in the chapter whose
entire discipline is refusal to invent would be the citation test's most tempting failure — the same
temptation the landed chapter sheet named and refused
[BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:137-143].
set, "the giraffe (CR_0063)" [rift_valley.md:232-237], and the tameable doc seats it in the Ch-10
mid-level and TAME band with a bare binomial, "Giraffe (*Giraffa camelopardalis*)"
[T3_Creatures_Tameable:453]. Two mentions, no adjective between them. The sheet says so rather than
dressing it.
SRC_ ids are real and werematched: SRC_00186 is the region's ONE genuinely Rift-scoped record and is a compiled popular
biography of a twentieth-century archaeologist carrying nothing about any animal
[rift_valley.md:944-951]; SRC_00265, SRC_00215, SRC_00202, SRC_00197 and SRC_00481 all resolve on the
page and none reaches a giraffe. A matcher that finds those and returns nothing here is reporting an
ABSENCE rather than failing. THE ONE NEAR-MISS IS NAMED SO IT IS NOT MISTAKEN FOR A HIT: SRC_00189,
"The Eland's People review", is a ten-chunk review of Maloti-Drakensberg rock-art volumes and its
subject is the ELAND (CR_0066, another lane's row and a Ch-13 register), not this animal
[rift_valley.md:972-975].
owns it: the corpus "holds no zoological source tagged to it", the page states nothing about how any
of this region's animals behaves, and the readable-behaviour layer "is an acquisition target rather
than an invention" [rift_valley.md:245-252]. Every behavioural line in §§ 4 and 6 is therefore marked
AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY — general zoology carried as DESIGN, never as a claim of any source this region
holds — and the sheet is written so the acquisition's arrival RE-CITES these lines rather than
rewriting them.
own environment row is a grass band and THORN-SCRUB MARGIN typed COVER, enemy_usable TRUE, on
ground the page states adds no place, no people and no culture [EG_0137; rift_valley.md:76,
:113-119]. The foliage set is acacia-and-commiphora savanna, density low on the plain margin and
banded along the lake shores, palette dust-gold shifting to grey-green with altitude, wind steady on
the plain and gusting hard at the rim [rift_valley.md:225-228]. The season is dry-season Rift — hard
light and dust [rift_valley.md:25]. AND CANON NAMES THE BROWSE LINE ITSELF AS A TRACKING SIGN: the
hunting loop's own first step is "tracking (spoor, scat, BROWSE-LINE and the vril-substrate response
the region page grounds)" [T3_Creatures_Tameable:118] — which is the cell that turns this animal's
feeding into a readable world mark in § 4.
darkening and bald-ossicone ladder, the browse line as this body's persistent world edit, the five
tells, and the directional-sightline readout.
Elevation is REFUSED on canon rather than on taste: every folklore column on this row is empty and so
is its cultural_significance, no supernatural claim is staged on this body anywhere, and the spine
reserves stylization to ONE being — "mythologically-stylized only for the //gauwasi sickness-shadow"
[CH_10.md:223], with the row's own mesh_tags.style reading realistic-ethnographic. The landed
chapter sheet refused the identical class on the identical cites
[BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:131].
plainly: THE COAT AS A PEDIGREE is a relatedness system a species-typical photograph cannot contain,
because a photograph carries one coat and the design carries the coats' relationship to each other.
THE LEGIBILITY CONTRACT. THE FINDER: THE FILL FRACTION AND THE FIFTH POST — the only silhouette in this
chapter that is more daylight than animal, a small deep wedge suspended between four thin posts with a
fifth and longer post rising from the front of it. THE COAT CONFIRMS; IT NEVER FINDS — in black fill
and at dusk the patches are gone and the fill fraction is all that is left, which is exactly why the
finder is geometry and the mark is pattern.
buffalo CR_0067 — another lane and a landed sheet author those bodies, and they are discriminated
here BY CITATION and never re-designed). Their own landed contract names all four finders and this
sheet adopts it rather than restating it: the ELAND by A LEVEL TOPLINE OVER A SWINGING KEEL, the BLUE
WILDEBEEST by THE FALLING BACK, the ZEBRA by THE ERECT MANE, and the AFRICAN BUFFALO by THE HEAD
CARRIED BELOW THE SHOULDER LINE under a back highest at the withers
[CR_0066_eland.md:202-209; BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:100-102]. BY CLASS FACT: every one of
the four is a horse-to-ox-sized ungulate under two metres at the shoulder whose topline — level,
falling or rising to a withers — is the top of its silhouette apart from a horn or a mane, and whose
head sits within a head's depth of that line in either direction. This body's head is at more than
twice the tallest of them and its NECK ALONE EXCEEDS THE WHOLE STANDING HEIGHT of every body in the
set, which is the same discrimination that sheet already states from its own side
[CR_0066_eland.md:223-225]. NO HERD-GROUP SHAPE RESOLVES TO A GIRAFFE AT ANY RANGE, and neither body
is ever a resolver for the other.
its silhouette carries no daylight at all. The two are opposite extremes of the same axis and no case
exists between them.
which is the only genuine collision either sheet has.
THE AMBIGUITY CASE, NAMED RATHER THAN ASSUMED AWAY, AND STATED IDENTICALLY ON BOTH SHEETS THAT SHARE
IT (CR_0062 and CR_0063). At long range across the plain margin, with the lower body cut by the grass
band, the thorn scrub or dry-season heat shimmer [rift_valley.md:25; EG_0137], AN ELEPHANT WITH THE
TRUNK RAISED TO TEST THE AIR and A GIRAFFE'S HEAD AND NECK ABOVE A SCREEN OF ACACIA resolve to the
same read: one dark mass with a single line rising out of it. THE RESOLVER IS WHERE THE LINE MEETS THE
MASS AND WHAT IT DOES AT ITS TIP. The giraffe's line rises from the FRONT-HIGH point of the mass,
holds one thickness the whole way up, and ENDS THICKER THAN IT RUNS — a head broader than the neck
with two knobs on it — and it moves in one piece with the mass under it. The elephant's line rises
from BELOW the mass's high point, TAPERS TO NOTHING, and moves through its whole length while the mass
under it stands still. A LINE THAT THICKENS AT THE TOP IS A GIRAFFE; A LINE THAT VANISHES AT THE TOP
IS A TRUNK. THE EAR PLANE CONFIRMS; IT NEVER FINDS — at the range where this case is live the ears are
inside the mass and read as part of it.
THE DEEP-TIME DISCRIMINATION THIS ROW ALONE OWES, BECAUSE CANON PUTS A SECOND GIRAFFID IN THE CHAPTER.
The region page carries the deep-time fauna register as "Pelorovis, Sivatherium, and *Hippopotamus
gorgops*", staged as real animals of a real past inside the fluctuation windows and never as monsters
[rift_valley.md:253-258]. SIVATHERIUM IS A GIRAFFID, so a player crossing the valley's time-fluctuation
current can meet a giraffid in BOTH strata, and the two must be tellable apart on sight or the
chapter's whole stratum discipline blurs at exactly the animal that carries it. THIS SHEET NAMES THE
BURDEN AND DOES NOT DISCHARGE IT, because the discharge would be designing an unrowed body: Sivatherium
has NO T0_Creature_Roster row, no body plan and no sheet, and inventing one here would be minting
creature canon from a plausible guess. What this sheet commits to is the requirement — WHATEVER LANE
BUILDS THE DEEP-TIME REGISTER MUST SEPARATE ITS GIRAFFID FROM THIS ONE IN BLACK FILL AT THE FILL
FRACTION, because that is this animal's finder and a second tall spotted browser standing next to it
would take it away. Boarded in § 9 alongside the other two unrowed genera. THIS ROW IS ERA-PRESENT
ONLY and is not one of the three, exactly as the landed chapter sheet ruled for its own bodies
[BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:156-161].
PRIMARY — A9 THE MARK: THE COAT, AND IT IS A PEDIGREE. One mark, and one is the number. Every animal's
patch pattern is unique and does not change across its whole life, and the pattern's CHARACTER — how
round the patches are, how convoluted their edges run, how much pale ground shows between them — is
carried from the mother, so a group of animals whose patches share a character is a group of related
animals (AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY). MECHANISM: pigment fields laid down before birth and grown with the
animal, which is why a calf's coat is a small copy of the pattern it will die with. WHAT THIS BUYS THE
GAME, and it is the reason A9 is the primary axis here rather than the supporting one: THE HERD'S
FAMILY STRUCTURE IS PAINTED ON IT. A player who looks twice can see which calf belongs to which cow
without a single line of dialogue, an icon or a codex entry, and can recognise the same individual
across the whole corridor and across the whole chapter. The sun bear's crescent does this for one
animal [CR_0027_sun_bear.md:166-172]; the coat does it for a family.
SUPPORTING — A5 AGE AND STATE. The states a species-typical photograph does not carry:
pale ground between them has narrowed to lines. THE DARKEST ANIMAL IN A GROUP IS THE OLDEST BULL IN
IT, and he is the one that will engage. Age is legible at any distance on colour alone, and it needs
no UI.
carry a black tuft at the tip; an old bull's are worn bare and polished on top from a lifetime of
neck contests, and he carries secondary bone laid down across the skull that makes his whole head
heavier and blunter than a cow's. One feature, two readings, visible in profile.
swings from, so the neck says both his age and which way he fights.
costs it anything: forelimbs splayed wide, carpus toward its bound, head at ground level, seconds to
enter and seconds to leave. It is the state the animal will NOT take with anything inside its
distance, which makes it the whole difficulty of the approach in § 6.
ONE-LINE READ: more daylight than animal, on four posts with a fifth rising from the front of it,
wearing a pattern its mother wore.
THE JOB, AND IT IS WHY THIS ROW EARNS A SHEET. THE GIRAFFE IS THE PLAIN'S SIGHTLINE. It sees further
than anything else on this ground and everything else on this ground watches it, so its HEAD
ORIENTATION IS A FREE, SILENT, LONG-RANGE THREAT READOUT the player can use from further away than any
other body in the chapter can be read at all. And it EDITS THE MAP in one specific way, at the top:
the browse line it leaves is a hard horizontal edge cut across the whole acacia band at the height it
can reach, which persists, which canon's own hunting loop already names as a tracking sign
[T3_Creatures_Tameable:118], and which is an edge in a cover layer [EG_0137]. Where the elephant
opens gaps through the middle of the scrub, this body trims its top — two keystone edits on one plain,
each readable long after the animal has walked out of frame.
THE PLAIN'S OWN EARLY-WARNING SYSTEM, THE TWO HALVES STATED IDENTICALLY ON BOTH OF THIS LANE'S
PLAINS SHEETS: the giraffe's readout is DIRECTIONAL and the elephant's is BINARY. A giraffe's head
holds a bearing and tells the player WHERE; a herd of elephants freezing together tells the player
THAT, and nothing more. One class of information, two grains, and a player who learns both reads the
plain without a HUD.
APPEAL, A SHIP REQUIREMENT UNDER § 3.1's BEAUTY-BAR CLAUSE, and it is not cute-ification: the
proportions already carry it — an enormous dark eye with lashes heavy enough to read at distance, a
prehensile upper lip and tongue that work an acacia thorn in close-up, and a calf that is a small copy
of its mother in a pattern the player can match. Appeal here means the group reads as a family.
EMISSION: none. It reads by the hard-edged pattern against dust-gold scrub, by the wetting-darkening
of a coat that has been in the lake shallows, by dust in the dry season, and by occluding the sky
above the acacia line, which no other body in the chapter is tall enough to do.
QUADRUPED bucket as bounds with the giraffid substitution declared, or inline on a named silence. The
blob test passes because there is nothing bolted on.
must be built as SEVEN elongated cervicals plus the eighth-cervical-behaving first thoracic, because
a smooth spline chain will produce a curve no giraffe can make and will lose the one hinge at the
base that gives the animal its reach. A neck that bends everywhere reads as rubber; a neck that bends
at eight declared places reads as bone.
is HELD rather than posed, and so that the head's drop into the drink is a release rather than an
animation.
material layer on their tips rather than a mesh change.
roundness, edge convolution and pale-ground fraction — so a cow and her calf are one parameter set
and not two hand-painted assets, and the DARKENING is a second state layer over the same pattern.
runs to its 180-degree hard stop with no hyperextension [DENOIX2014] and the splay comes from the
glenohumeral abduction the bucket already allows at ±20, with the rest taken by scapulothoracic
excursion. It is reached, not invented.
combat_facing is FALSE and combat_permission is EMPTY. This animal is not staged as a fight and
this sheet does not invent one. What the block states affirmatively is what the body DOES stage: a
READOUT the player uses, an APPROACH the player can spend, and one contact answer that exists so the
approach has a price.
PART ECONOMY HOME: NONE, declared affirmatively. No region of this body is a breakable part, there
is no equipment, no machinery, no architecture and no surface economy, and the sheet says so rather
than leaving the block thin [doctrine § 2.4].
| tell shape | body origin | the one answer |
|---|---|---|
| THE LOOK (OPENER) | the head turns and HOLDS on a bearing, the body unchanged, chewing continues | the plain's own sightline has found something at that bearing — TAKE THE BEARING, NOT THE ANIMAL; this tell is never about the player and reading it as though it were is the mistake it teaches |
| THE CHEWING STOPS | nothing moves and the jaw simply goes still, head high | it has now found the PLAYER — the approach is live from this instant and every further metre is spent, not free |
| THE STIFF-LEGGED WALK-AWAY | the pace opens up with the legs held straighter and the neck carried more upright, moving away on a steady line | it has priced you and you are inside its distance — MATCH ITS PACE to hold the distance, because hurrying closes it and stopping ends the approach |
| THE SPLAYED DRINK | forelimbs splay wide, carpus to its bound, the head goes to ground level | it is committed and cannot leave in one beat — this is the approach window, and it is the last one, because a spent drink is not retaken with the player in sight |
| THE LOADED FOOT | weight transfers to three legs and one foot loads, fore or hind, with no other change in the body | break contact immediately and completely — this animal kicks in ANY direction, a fore-strike carries its whole mass, and there is no meeting this surface with anything |
NO PARRY CLASS AND NO ELEMENTAL-NEUTRALIZE CLASS EXIST ON THIS BODY, DECLARED AFFIRMATIVELY. It
presents no meetable contact surface — the ossicones are on top of a head five metres up and are never
aimed at a person — and it carries no element family and gathers nothing on itself. The loaded foot is
DODGE-ONLY, which is the design rather than a gap: the one contact answer this body has is a move the
player is not permitted to stand in front of.
A SIXTH SHAPE EXISTS AND IT IS NOT ABOUT THE PLAYER AT ALL: THE NECK SWING of two bulls, the whole
neck driven as a loaded mass from the shoulder with the skull as the contact surface. The one answer
is HOLD GROUND AND LET IT FINISH — walking into a necking pair is how a bystander is hit by a blow
aimed at someone else. It is included because the doctrine's agency test is about a creature doing
something that is not about the player, and this is the clearest instance of it in the chapter.
ESCALATION ON FOUR CHANNELS, nameable before any meter. POSTURE: the head goes from level and browsing,
to high and locked on a bearing, to carried upright above a stiffened walk. BREATH: THE CHEWING STOPS
— a ruminant that has stopped chewing has stopped being calm, and it is the quietest and earliest tell
any body in this chapter offers. VOCALIZATION: THIS IS THE THINNEST CHANNEL ON THIS BODY AND THE SHEET
SAYS SO RATHER THAN INVENTING ONE — the animal carries a single nostril snort and nothing else, so the
channel's weight is carried instead by THE HERD'S HEADS COMING ROUND, which is audible in no way at all
and visible from further off than any sound would travel. NEW OPENER: the look is retired and the
walk-away becomes the move it leads with — it stops looking and starts leaving.
THE OPENER AND ITS VARIANTS: the root is THE LOOK, the most legible and least punishing thing the
animal does. The chewing stop is the same posture with one thing subtracted, which is what makes it
worse; the walk-away is the same attention with distance added; the loaded foot is the same body with
the distance gone. Teaching order is look, still, leave, load — four beats, each with less room in it
than the last.
RELOCATION AND TURF: it owns the TOP TWO METRES of the thorn-scrub margin and nothing else contests
that layer [EG_0137; rift_valley.md:225-228]. It does not hold ground and it does not follow; it
walks a browse front along the acacia band and the front is where it will be tomorrow. Canon publishes
the foliage density as a build note for scatter [rift_valley.md:225-228], and reading that gradient as
this animal's browse front is THIS SHEET'S INFERENCE from the density figures, labelled as one, and
not a canon statement about the giraffe.
THE NON-KILL PATH IS THE ONLY PATH ON THIS ROW AND IT IS CANON'S OWN: the seven-observation
completionist chain [T3_Creatures_Tameable:114] plus the bond-lite approach [:98, :116]. The chain
takes the doctrine's shape exactly — the bearing read rather than the animal, the chewing-stop caught,
the walk-away matched rather than chased, the drink window spent once — and a single wrong read spends
the window and moves the browse front. The pips live on the HUD; the BODY carries the chain in the
jaw, because a player watching the chewing is watching the meter.
ROW CARRIES NO ontology_class AT ALL — the cell is EMPTY — so no class routing applies to it in
either direction, and this sheet neither claims the ORDINARY_FAUNA exemption nor pre-empts the
derivation that would grant it (DERIVED_NOT_LANDED behind FORK 7 by the L6 ruling; § 9 boards the
blank rather than filling it). The collective read is empty for a reason that needs no class at all:
the protected list is a list of PEOPLES. The § 17.1 protection live in this chapter is the /Xam, //Gwi and Ju|'hoansi peoples, the
Hadza, the Sandawe and the Maasai — combat routes only to the //gauwasi, permitted fauna and the
protagonist's own trial [CH_10.md:59, :204; rift_valley.md:367-372]. Nothing in this sheet puts a
person anywhere near a target position.
ontology_class EMPTY, combat_permission EMPTY, grade TAME. Not fought at Ch 10, no drop anchor, no boss row, combat_facing FALSE on the ruled state. Care routes staging,
never scope (RULING_10) — and RULING_10 does not reach this row at all, because the cell it reads is
blank.
realistic-ethnographic register the row's own mesh_tags.style carries — NOT the photographic-wildlife template. The landed chapter sheet names
its own two bodies "the highest-risk row IN THE CHAPTER for that defect, because the subjects are
real African megafauna and the style cell says realistic-ethnographic"
[BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:415] — a chapter-scoped claim, left at its cited scope and not
contested here. THIS ROW CARRIES ONE ADDITIONAL AND SPECIFIC EXPOSURE OF ITS OWN, stated as an
addition rather than as a ranking: a per-individual coat is an IDENTITY SYSTEM, and a
photographic-wildlife prompt will average four animals into one pattern and take the primary axis
away. A plate showing a generic giraffe has failed.
ONLY, and the deep-time giraffid burden it alone carries is named in § 4 and boarded in § 9 rather
than discharged by inventing an unrowed body. The chapter's ordering rule — the living present opens
FIRST and is never entered THROUGH the deep-time stratum, because that transition is the
living-fossil equation built as a level — is untouched by anything here [rift_valley.md:1134-1137].
REQUIRES IT: SHOULD THIS ANIMAL BE HUNTED?** It is a plains herbivore among rows that carry QUARRY
and PERMITTED (CR_0066 eland, CR_0060 Nile crocodile), the hunt loop is fully specified in canon
[T3_Creatures_Tameable:118], and a lane could reasonably build a hide-and-meat take on it. REFUSED ON
THE CELLS: trade_8_tameable reads TAME and not QUARRY, combat_permission is EMPTY where CR_0066's
reads PERMITTED, there is no drop anchor and no boss row, and the L11 ruled state carries
combat_facing FALSE. The chapter agrees — permitted combat only against the territorial guardian
[CH_10.md:221]. The refusal is scope discipline rather than squeamishness and it is REVERSIBLE BY
MEASUREMENT: if a later canon pass lands a permission on this row, the hunt is BUILT, the browse line
is already written as its tracking sign and the loaded foot as its price. TIMID, REFUSED: nothing
was reduced. The kick is authored as unmeetable and genuinely lethal rather than as a warning, the
approach can be spent and lost permanently for the session, and the necking contest is staged as a
real collision the player can be caught in.
dropping the drink because a splay-legged animal with its head at ground level reads as vulnerable
and a designer may feel it invites a predation scene the chapter does not stage. REFUSED. The posture
is the animal's own real fact and it is the sheet's entire approach mechanic; and the sheet does NOT
stage a predation scene on it, because the chapter arms no encounter on the water at all
[EG_0139; CH_10.md:87, :98]. The tool was reframe rather than removal: the drink is a window the
PLAYER can spend, not a kill the world takes.
the bald-ossicone sex-and-age read, the neck record, the drink as the approach window, the browse
line as a persistent world edit, the five tells and the sixth non-player shape, the four escalation
channels with the vocal channel declared thin, and the directional-sightline readout are INVENTED BY
THIS SHEET as the game's own design. The skeleton, the joint bounds, the ROM, the pace, the canter,
the transverse gallop and the rig-conformance floor are DERIVED from QUADRUPED.json /
ungulate_unguligrade and cited there, carried as BOUNDS with the giraffid substitution declared.
The seven elongated cervicals, the eighth-cervical-behaving first thoracic, the vertebral counts, the
ossicones, the longer forelimb, the nuchal ligament, the splayed drink and the neck swing are inline
AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY on the table's declared silences. The TAME grade, the binomial, the ground, the
foliage set, the season and the browse-line-as-tracking-sign are CITED.
[CH_10.md:37, :99, :239]; no player-facing string proposed on this sheet carries a family name,
pattern or agent-noun, and the Grand Sage is dark.
Written affirmatively. Every line names what IS in frame.
dry-season light, the whole animal in frame with sky visible between all four legs and beneath the
belly, the topline sloping continuously from a high shoulder to a low hip, the neck rising from the
front of the body and ending in a head broader than the neck, two tufted ossicones on top of it.
her calf sharing patch roundness, edge convolution and pale-ground fraction, and two of them
unrelated animals with visibly different pattern character. The plate that proves the mark carries a
family.
patches, ossicone tips worn bare and polished, a heavier blunter skull with secondary bone across it,
callus and scarring along one side of the neck.
at its stop, the head at ground level and the neck running the full length to it, water visible under
the muzzle.
one height, the animals that cut it standing further back along the same band, the edge running out
of frame in both directions.
browse with the head down in the canopy; THE LOOK with the head turned and held on a bearing; the
stiff-legged walk-away; and THE LOADED FOOT in both of its forms — the hind load, with the whole mass
carried onto three posts and the loading hind foot lifted clear behind the line of the body, and the
fore load, with the mass carried BACK onto the hindquarter and the forehand rising off the ground.
THE BLACK-FILL DISCRIMINANT ON THE PUNISHING MOVE IS THE POST COUNT AND WHERE THE MASS WENT: this
body's silhouette is four thin posts under a small deep wedge, so a post LEAVING the four-post read
while the wedge shifts off centre over the remaining three is the single most visible thing this
animal can do at any distance — it is the same class of tell the gaur's step-in carries and it works
here for the same reason, that a body carried on thin posts announces a weight transfer that a
heavy-bodied animal can hide [CR_0143_gaur.md:189-193]. Judged on whether the loaded foot separates
from the other three fills on the post count alone.
screen beside an elephant with the trunk raised, both at the same distance, judged on whether the
line that thickens and the line that vanishes read apart.
viewer told nothing at all can pick the pair.
cultural_significance IS EMPTY on this row while the other two rows this lane carries fill it —CR_0062 "savanna elephant", CR_0060 two named traditions. THE BLANK IS NOT UNIQUE AND THE SIBLING
LANE FOUND THE OTHER HALF OF IT: CR_0065 Blue wildebeest carries the same empty cell, and the two of
them are the chapter's two blanks [CR_0065_blue_wildebeest.md:470]. One column, one chapter, filled
unevenly, and the two findings are the same finding.
combat_permission, ontology_class, collect_verb, dex_completion_class, rng_drop_anchor, temperament_prior, cultural_care_register, hard_line_anchors, intelligence_tier,
integrity_visible_aesthetic_shift and vril_substrate_response are ALL EMPTY on this row. THIS
LANE FILLS NONE OF THEM. ontology_class derivation is DERIVED_NOT_LANDED behind FORK 7 by the L6
ruling and is not pre-empted here.
dex_completion_class IS EMPTY on a TAME row whose only ruled completion path is theseven-observation chain [T3_Creatures_Tameable:114, :118], while CR_0060 in the same chapter carries
OBSERVATION_CHAIN in that exact column. One chapter, two rows, one column, and only one of them says
how the Beastiary entry fills.
height_m AND length_axis ARE EMPTY on the tallest animal in the roster, while CR_0060 in the same chapter carries 4.5 body_length. length_axis is the more interesting omission here: this is the one
body in the roster whose defining measurement is HEIGHT rather than length, and the column that would
say so is blank.
extinction_threat IS EMPTY while the roster carries T4 on comparable rows in other chapters.husbandry_breedable, husbandry_venue, offspring_tier_lock and trait_halo_pool ARE EMPTY on aTAME row, while the tameable doc rules ordinary-fauna husbandry an L1 single-player loop on the
TAME-status roster [T3_Creatures_Tameable:135]. On this row the gap has teeth the others do not: the
coat's inheritance is the design's whole primary axis, and trait_halo_pool is the column a heritable
visible trait would live in.
it bites hard here because the chapter roots no compound at all [CH_10.md:236, :260;
rift_valley.md:845-847] — a TAME grade with no venue in the chapter that grants it.
rift_valley.md:253-258 names Pelorovis,Sivatherium and *Hippopotamus gorgops* as the chapter's fluctuation-window fauna register and NONE
has a T0_Creature_Roster row, a body plan or a sheet. This is a general registry gap and it lands
on THIS row specifically, because Sivatherium is a giraffid and a second tall browser in the same
chapter would take this animal's finder away (§ 4). The rowing decision is the registry lane's; the
discrimination burden is recorded here so it is not discovered at mesh time.
primary_region_ids IS EMPTY while region_native carries rift_valley — two region columnsdisagreeing by omission.
mesh_tags.material CARRIES THE CHAPTER PALETTE WHOLE — "ochre and iron-oxide, rock-panel patina,deep-cut tuff, soda-lake pink" [CH_10.md:223] — identically on all three of this lane's CH_10 rows.
Every term belongs to this chapter, so this is NOT the cross-anchor contamination the CH_05 rows
boarded; it is a per-animal noun problem, and rock-panel patina and deep-cut tuff are wrong nouns for
a canopy browser. mesh_tags.era ends "continuous San tradition" on an animal.
spawn_rate IS EMPTY on a herd animal whose design depends on more than one individual being inframe at once — the coat-as-pedigree read does not exist with a single spawn.
build/3d/schema/anatomy_reference/QUADRUPED.json publishes no cervical range on either sub-plan and
no cervical/thoracic/lumbar split of its declared 25 presacral vertebrae, which is a tolerable
silence on a bovid and a load-bearing one on the animal whose neck IS the animal. The bucket wants a
cervical block, and a giraffid note on ungulate_unguligrade recording that the presacral count
and the neck plan both differ. The same silence was carried inline by the landed gaur sheet on a
short-necked body [CR_0143_gaur.md:68-76]; here it is the design's whole centre.
lakes ecology and the African Humid Period — Hassan's Holocene palaeoclimate work and a Rift lakes
limnology anchor" [rift_valley.md:1048-1050]. THE CONSEQUENCE IS THE PAGE'S OWN AND IS QUOTED AS
SUCH: that line "Blocks Section 3's readable-behaviour layer and Section 1's flood-window detail"
[rift_valley.md:1050], and Section 3 states separately that the corpus holds no zoological source for
this region at all [rift_valley.md:245-252]. That stated consequence — not the target's title — is
why every behavioural line on this sheet is marked AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY.
physical_profile BLOCK IS AUTHORED, and the gap is named rather than left silent. The CR_0002 template requires a MEASURED enclosed_volume_m3 off a shipped mesh at canon scale; this
row's generation_status is pending, mesh_id_ref is EMPTY and height_m is EMPTY, so two of
three inputs are missing and a guessed volume would poison
harness/asset_factory/emit_creature_physical.py at source. Deferred to the mesh landing with § 2's
ROM table ready to carry into § 10.2.
kit_ref IS EMPTY, carried forward from the L11 demand state (RULING_13 F1).post as finder, the plains group by class fact, the shared ambiguity case, and the deep-time giraffid
burden named) and the STATE LADDER (the darkening, the bald ossicone, the neck record, the drink) are
both present, and the coat-as-pedigree is a relatedness system no single photograph can contain.
labelled AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY on a named silence, and the neck is specified as SEVEN bones plus a hinge
rather than a spline so a rig cannot smooth it into rubber.
wetting-darkening, dust and occlusion.
THE LOADED FOOT, fore and hind, is the sheet's one move that costs the player anything, and it
separates from idle in black fill on THE POST COUNT — a post leaves the four-post read and the wedge
shifts off centre over the remaining three, which is the most visible thing a body carried on thin
posts can do (PLATE F, four fills at one scale). The look and the walk-away separate from each other
and from idle on neck carriage and leg straightness, and the finder is a FILL FRACTION, which is the
most distance-robust discriminant available. No breakable part is claimed, so no fraction is owed.
The look is the one shape a player will misread and the sheet names the misreading it teaches
against.
prices the player and leaves, and the necking contest is an activity that has nothing to do with the
player at all.
further reduction (cutting the drink) was considered and refused with the reframe recorded; nothing
was softened, and the kick is authored as unmeetable.
invented; the control matched SRC_00186, SRC_00265, SRC_00215, SRC_00202, SRC_00197 and SRC_00481 on
the page and found no giraffe, and the one near-miss (SRC_00189, the eland review) is named so it is
not mistaken for a hit.

photographic-wildlife template named and refused on the row that is most exposed to it.
