THE ROW IS A WILD SAVANNA POPULATION AND SAYS SO ON ITS FACE. cultural_significance reads "savanna
elephant" — two words, no human use, no working cohort, no keeper. THE ROSTER'S OTHER ELEPHANT ROWS
ARE NOT THIS ONE and nothing is imported from them: CR_0145 is the Angkor war-and-temple cohort with a
cultural_care_register naming living heritage [CR_0145_asian_elephant_angkor.md:17-21], CR_0036 is
the Sri Lankan OBSERVE cohort, CR_0040 the Indian TAME-and-PERMITTED row. ROW IS THE UNIT. The
difference is the design: CR_0145's three-state ladder is WORKED, FREE and OUTLIVED and its identity
mark inverts between an attended cohort and a wild one
[CR_0145_asian_elephant_angkor.md:139-164]. THIS ROW HAS NO ATTENDED COHORT AT ALL, so its ladder is
built entirely inside the wild population and its A9 mark carries individual identity rather than
work-state. That is stated here so no lane reads the two sheets as one design.
THE TAME GRADE AT A CHAPTER WITH NO HOME BASE, READ HONESTLY. TAME is "Chao Garden passive companion
eligible; Animal Communication low-threshold bonding accessible; Beastiary entry fillable through
bond-lite interactions" [T3_Creatures_Tameable:98], and the bond-lite tier's own home is a trade
compound's garden space [T3_Creatures_Tameable:128]. CH_10 ROOTS NO HOME BASE AND OPENS NO NEW BOND:
"no home base here; substrate seeds only" [CH_10.md:236], "no new bond at Ch 10" [CH_10.md:237],
"homes_established: none new" [CH_10.md:260], and the page concurs — "none roots here. The region is a
single-chapter descent, not a returnable home" [rift_valley.md:845-847]. So the grade at Ch 10 is a
RELATIONSHIP THE CHAPTER OFFERS AND DOES NOT CONSUMMATE: the approach is playable, the bond is
carried forward to a compound the arc reaches later, and nothing is bonded in the valley. The tier's
missing data home is already boarded on CR_0027 and is re-boarded in § 9
[CR_0027_sun_bear.md:302-304].
DERIVED FROM THE ANATOMY REFERENCE TABLE WHERE IT REACHES, per the amended doctrine § 2.1, and INLINE
ONLY WHERE NO BUCKET COVERS THE ARCHETYPE — said affirmatively.
[build/3d/schema/anatomy_reference/QUADRUPED.json]: the bucket's defining sentence covers this
animal — a mammal that carries its limbs UNDER the body and swings them in the sagittal plane, at
posture grade erect / parasagittal [§ one_line, § posture_grade] — and rig conformance binds at a
minimum 34 deform bones, a spine chain of 5 to 24, two forelimb and two hindlimb chains of at least 4
bones each, bilateral symmetry required [§ rig_conformance]. Those four keys sit at the archetype
level of the file and reach this row directly.
SUB-PLAN AND BOTH SUB-PLANS ARE WRONG FOR THIS BODY. The bucket publishes no archetype-level
skeleton, mirror rule, joint roster or gait: all of them sit under
sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade (with ungulate_unguligrade declaring itself "as
carnivoran_digitigrade" plus overrides). So the structures below are carried from
sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade AS BOUNDS, WITH THE CARNIVORAN-TO-PROBOSCIDEAN SUBSTITUTION
DECLARED — the same discipline the table itself applies when it transfers canine ranges to felids as
bounds rather than values [§ sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade.reference_taxon], the same discipline
CR_0027 applies to a plantigrade ursid [CR_0027_sun_bear.md:48-55], and the same discipline this
lane's CR_0063 applies to a giraffid [CR_0063_giraffe.md:73-82]. THE POINT OF DECLARING IT is the
amended § 2.1's own reason: a range carried as a VALUE onto an uncovered body over-declares the ROM
and licenses poses the solver should refuse.
sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade: the clavicle is vestigial or absent andthe forelimb hangs in a MUSCULAR SLING, making the SCAPULOTHORACIC a synsarcosis with no bony joint,
the scapula sliding on the ribcage through ±25 degrees protraction/retraction and ±15 rotation — a
rig that parents the humerus straight to the spine loses the whole first third of the stride
[§ sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade.joints.scapulothoracic; DYCE2010, SISSON1975]; the chain shape
root → pelvis → spine_lumbar → spine_thoracic → spine_cervical → head → jaw, with scapula → humerus →
radioulna → carpus → metacarpus → digits and femur → tibia → tarsus → metatarsus → toes, every _L
bone carrying an identical _R sibling [§ sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade.skeleton,
§ sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade.mirror_rule]; and MAMMALIAN SPINES BEND SAGITTALLY AND NOT
LATERALLY, which is the single biggest difference from the chapter's one sprawler
[§ sub_plans.carnivoran_digitigrade.joints.intervertebral (thoracolumbar)]. THE DIGIT COUNTS AND
THE DISTAL LIMB OF THAT SUB-PLAN ARE NOT CARRIED AT ALL and are replaced inline below, because a
digitigrade foot with 5 fore and 4 hind digits is the one part of the plan a graviportal body
contradicts outright.
carnivoran_digitigrade (digitigrade, 5 fore and 4 hind digits, reference taxon *Canis lupus
familiaris*) and ungulate_unguligrade (metacarpus reduced to a single cannon bone, a pastern chain,
1 to 2 weight-bearing digits, reference taxa *Equus caballus* and *Bos taurus*). Both are wrong for a
graviportal proboscidean. Searched across all eight archetype files: the table names no elephant, no
proboscidean, no graviportal posture grade and nothing at all on a trunk. The landed CR_0145 sheet
verified the same absence and boarded it NAMING THIS ROW'S ID
[CR_0145_asian_elephant_angkor.md:285-291]; the debt is still open and is re-boarded in § 9 with the
African-specific additions this row needs.
limbs stacked near-vertical with the bones carried over a fibrous digital cushion, the digits spread
on that cushion, no cannon bone and no pastern chain; a cervical chain held SHORT AND THICK so the
head turns with the body rather than on the neck; a topline that PEAKS AT THE SHOULDER and falls
behind it into a saddle before rising a little at the hips, with the head carried BELOW the shoulder
line; a TRUNK of no bones — a muscular hydrostat with bend, twist and elongation available at any
point along its length, carrying TWO opposed fingers at the tip, one dorsal and one ventral; an EAR
whose plane is the largest of any living animal, reaching above the neckline and pivoting through
roughly a quarter turn at its base; upper incisors grown out as tusks that advance from the socket
through life IN BOTH SEXES; and six molar sets that erupt and are pushed forward one at a time.
its: goniometry measures the PASSIVE envelope and what a live animal reaches under its own power is
smaller by an amount the sources do not separate [QUADRUPED.json § unmeasured]. The limbs swing
in a narrow sagittal arc with almost no lateral reach, so a turn is a WALKED turn of the whole body,
and the gait carries NO SUSPENDED PHASE at any speed — which is why a charging elephant is quiet
underfoot and arrives faster than it looks.
shoulder — the largest land animal in the game's roster and the body every other silhouette in this
chapter is measured against. height_m is EMPTY on the row and § 9 boards it.
that is overwhelmingly MASS AND ALMOST NO DAYLIGHT — the legs are columns that close the gaps a
plains ungulate leaves open — highest at the shoulder and saddled behind it, with two ear planes
standing off the neck and a trunk to the ground. The head carried below the shoulder line is a
CONFIRM on this body and never its finder, because THE HEAD BELOW THE SHOULDER LINE IS THE AFRICAN
BUFFALO'S DECLARED FINDER in this same chapter [CR_0066_eland.md:208-209;
BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:100-102] and a finder that is already spent is not a finder.
folklore_behavior_substrate, folklore_attribution_source and cultural_care_register are all
EMPTY, and cultural_significance carries an ecological description of two words. There is no
tradition to cite because the row asserts none, and inventing one in the chapter whose entire
discipline is refusal to invent would be the citation test's most tempting failure — the same
temptation the landed chapter sheet named and refused
[BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:137-143].
names as its rowed fauna set, "the African bush elephant (CR_0062)" [rift_valley.md:232-237]; and
the tameable doc seats it in the Ch-10 mid-level and TAME band as "Elephant (*Loxodonta africana*) —
savanna elephant population" [T3_Creatures_Tameable:452]. That is the whole of it, and the sheet
says so rather than dressing it.
SRC_ ids are real and werematched: SRC_00186 is the region's ONE genuinely Rift-scoped record and it is a compiled popular
biography of a twentieth-century archaeologist carrying nothing about any animal
[rift_valley.md:944-951]; SRC_00265, SRC_00215, SRC_00202, SRC_00197 and SRC_00481 all resolve on the
page and none reaches an elephant. A matcher that finds those and returns nothing here is reporting
an ABSENCE rather than failing.
owns it: the corpus "holds no zoological source tagged to it", nothing on the page "states how a
hyena clan holds ground, how a buffalo commits to a charge", and the readable-behaviour layer "is an
acquisition target rather than an invention" [rift_valley.md:245-252]. Every behavioural line in
§§ 4 and 6 is therefore marked AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY — general zoology carried as DESIGN, never as a
claim of any source this region holds — and the sheet is written so the acquisition's arrival
RE-CITES these lines rather than rewriting them.
margin is a grass band and thorn-scrub margin typed COVER with a flammable fuel gift, `enemy_usable
TRUE, on ground the page states in terms adds no place, no people and no culture [EG_0137`;
rift_valley.md:76, :113-119]. The foliage is acacia-and-commiphora savanna, density low on the plain
margin and banded along the lake shores, in a dust-gold palette [rift_valley.md:225-228]. The season
is dry-season Rift — hard light, dust, and the soda shallows at their most saturated
[rift_valley.md:25]. The lake chain is two waters at once, freshwater sweeps beside alkaline
shallows, with the mineral inventory ruled page-authored general geology and named nowhere
[rift_valley.md:614-617; EG_0139, EG_0140]. And the African Humid Period is PLAYABLE rather than
described — the basins fill, the shorelines climb and the ground between them goes green
[rift_valley.md:183-188; EG_0141].
read, the dug well and the pushed scrub as world edits, the five tells, and the herd freeze as an
early-warning readout.
Elevation is REFUSED on canon rather than on taste: the folklore columns are empty, no supernatural
claim is staged on this body anywhere, and the spine reserves stylization to ONE being —
"mythologically-stylized only for the //gauwasi sickness-shadow" [CH_10.md:223], with the row's own
mesh_tags.style reading realistic-ethnographic. The landed chapter sheet refused the identical
class on the identical cites [BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:131].
plainly: the WALLOW-COLOUR LADDER and the MATRIARCH read are states the species-typical photograph
does not contain, and the discharge is the contract and the ladder rather than a claim about what
some individual photograph might hold.
THE LEGIBILITY CONTRACT. THE FINDER: THE FILL FRACTION — THE MASS ITSELF. This is the only silhouette
in the chapter that is more animal than daylight, on four columns that close the gaps every plains
ungulate leaves open, highest at the shoulder and saddled behind it. THE HEAD BELOW THE SHOULDER LINE
CONFIRMS; IT NEVER FINDS, and the reason is not style but ownership: that read is THE AFRICAN
BUFFALO'S DECLARED FINDER in this same chapter [CR_0066_eland.md:208-209;
BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:100-102], so borrowing it as a headline would hand two bodies one
finder. THE EAR PLANE ALSO CONFIRMS; IT NEVER FINDS.
elephant meshes in one roster is exactly where a pipeline builds one asset twice. CR_0145's resting
read is "a high shoulder falling to a dipped back and rising at the hips, A HEAD ABOVE THE LINE, two
ear planes, a trunk to the ground" [CR_0145_asian_elephant_angkor.md:88-89] and its trunk carries
"one dorsal finger at the tip" [:78]. THIS BODY INVERTS THREE OF THOSE AND ADDS A FOURTH. THE HEAD
IS BELOW THE SHOULDER LINE, not above it — the shoulder is this animal's highest point. THE TRUNK
TIP CARRIES TWO OPPOSED FINGERS, dorsal and ventral, where CR_0145's carries one. THE EAR PLANE
REACHES ABOVE THE NECKLINE and is the animal's largest single surface, where CR_0145's ear is a
frame for the eye [:167-168]. AND BOTH SEXES CARRY TUSKS HERE, so the tusk cannot do the
cohort-inversion job CR_0145's A9 spends it on [:159-162] — which is precisely why this sheet's mark
is the ear. Mass separates them again: four to seven tonnes against CR_0145's stated two to four
[:86]. NOTHING ABOVE CONTRADICTS THAT SHEET; every line is a species difference read off the same
archetype.
buffalo CR_0067 — another lane and a landed sheet author those bodies, and they are discriminated
here BY CITATION and never re-designed). Their own landed contract names all four finders and this
sheet adopts it rather than restating it: the ELAND by A LEVEL TOPLINE OVER A SWINGING KEEL, the BLUE
WILDEBEEST by THE FALLING BACK, the ZEBRA by THE ERECT MANE, and the AFRICAN BUFFALO by THE HEAD
CARRIED BELOW THE SHOULDER LINE under a back highest at the withers
[CR_0066_eland.md:202-209; BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:100-102]. BY CLASS FACT: every one of
the four is a horned or maned ungulate under two metres at the shoulder standing as MASS ABOVE
DAYLIGHT on four thin legs. The buffalo is the nearest of them and is still "a long black horizontal
mass, highest at the withers, the head carried low with the boss squared across the forehead line"
[BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:100-102] — half this animal's shoulder height, horned, and
standing on visible daylight. Their own sheet states the discrimination from the other side, naming
this body as the only one in the chapter with a ground-reaching fifth appendage off the head and
columnar graviportal legs [CR_0066_eland.md:225-227]. No shape in the herd group resolves to an
elephant at any range, and neither body is ever a resolver for the other.
its silhouette carries no daylight at all; this one's head is three metres up and its legs are
columns. No case exists.
THE AMBIGUITY CASE, NAMED RATHER THAN ASSUMED AWAY, AND STATED IDENTICALLY ON BOTH SHEETS THAT SHARE
IT (CR_0062 and CR_0063). At long range across the plain margin, with the lower body cut by the grass
band, the thorn scrub or dry-season heat shimmer [rift_valley.md:25; EG_0137], AN ELEPHANT WITH THE
TRUNK RAISED TO TEST THE AIR and A GIRAFFE'S HEAD AND NECK ABOVE A SCREEN OF ACACIA resolve to the
same read: one dark mass with a single line rising out of it. THE RESOLVER IS WHERE THE LINE MEETS THE
MASS AND WHAT IT DOES AT ITS TIP. The giraffe's line rises from the FRONT-HIGH point of the mass,
holds one thickness the whole way up, and ENDS THICKER THAN IT RUNS — a head broader than the neck
with two knobs on it — and it moves in one piece with the mass under it. The elephant's line rises
from BELOW the mass's high point, TAPERS TO NOTHING, and moves through its whole length while the mass
under it stands still. A LINE THAT THICKENS AT THE TOP IS A GIRAFFE; A LINE THAT VANISHES AT THE TOP
IS A TRUNK. THE EAR PLANE CONFIRMS; IT NEVER FINDS — at the range where this case is live the ears are
inside the mass and read as part of it.
THE STATE LADDER — A5 age and state, and it is the primary axis.
offers three. Off the alkaline shallow it dries PALE and matte with the bloom set into every skin
seam; off the plain margin it is DUST-GOLD to red-grey; out of the freshwater sweep it is NEAR-BLACK
and wet, reading by wetting-darkening for as long as the water lasts. One body, three colours, and
the colour says where the animal has been WITHIN THE DAY. MECHANISM: elephant skin is thick, deeply
seamed and dust-holding, and a seam holds what a smooth hide sheds. NO MINERAL IS NAMED, which is
the page's own discipline on this exact chemistry [rift_valley.md:614-617; EG_0140].
group, the most torn along both ear margins, the deepest in the temporal hollow, and the most
asymmetric in the tusks because sixty years of favouring one side wears one down. HERD STRUCTURE IS
THEREFORE LEGIBLE FROM OUTSIDE IT: she is the animal every other animal in the group is oriented on,
and a player who has never been told any of this will still watch the right animal.
that come closest; the big bull is alone, larger than any cow, and is not part of the group at all.
There is no worked cohort, no keeper, no harness band and no cut fodder anywhere on this row, and
the absence is the design rather than a gap — the row carries no human use of any kind.
down each cheek from the swollen gland, the continuous dribble darkening the hind legs, the head
carried unnaturally high with the chin tucked, and the low pulsed rumble felt before it is heard are
the SAME READ ON EVERY ELEPHANT IN THE GAME, and teaching it once and reusing it is the point
[CR_0145_asian_elephant_angkor.md:212-216]. This sheet carries it unchanged and adds nothing to it.
own trophic_role cell — KEYSTONE — becomes a thing a player can stand in. In the dry season
[rift_valley.md:25] this animal digs water out of a dry bed with its forefeet and trunk and leaves
the hole behind it. The hole persists, it fills, and everything else in the chapter's fauna roster
uses it. A player who learns to look for elephant sign has learned where the water is.
PRIMARY — A5 AGE AND STATE, the ladder above. SUPPORTING — A9 THE MARK: THE EAR PLANE AND ITS NOTCHES,
and one is the number. The plane is the largest surface on the largest animal, it stands off the neck
and reaches above the neckline, and its MARGIN IS TORN INTO A PATTERN NO TWO ANIMALS SHARE — a
lifetime of thorn scrub written into an outline. MECHANISM: a thin vascular membrane carried through
acacia at speed does not stay whole, and a tear does not heal closed. THE MARK CARRIES THE IDENTITY
AND THE AGE AT ONCE: the most-torn ear in a group is the oldest animal in it, so one feature answers
both "which elephant is this" and "which one matters", and it reads in black fill at any distance
because it is an OUTLINE rather than a colour.
ONE-LINE READ: a silhouette with no daylight in it, carrying a torn flag on each side, wearing the
colour of the last ground it lay in.
THE JOB, AND IT IS WHY THIS ROW EARNS A SHEET. THE ELEPHANT EDITS THE MAP. The plain margin is typed
COVER [EG_0137] and an animal that has been through a thorn band leaves a GAP in that cover which
stays; a dug well stays; a pushed acacia stays down. Where the gaur closes a line by standing on it
[CR_0143_gaur.md:153-157], this body OPENS lines and it does so whether or not the player is there. It
is the chapter's only ambient body that changes the traversal graph, and its edits are readable as
sign long after the animal has walked out of frame.
APPEAL, A SHIP REQUIREMENT UNDER § 3.1's BEAUTY-BAR CLAUSE, and it is not cute-ification: the
proportions already carry it — a small eye set in a very large head, the ear plane that frames it, and
a trunk tip whose two opposed fingers are the most expressive object on any animal in the chapter.
Appeal here means the herd is legible as a family rather than as a spawn group.
EMISSION: none. It reads by dust, by wetting-darkening after a wallow, by the pale bloom in the skin
seams catching hard dry-season light, and by occluding everything behind it.
QUADRUPED bucket where it reaches and inline where no sub-plan covers the archetype, and the blob
test passes because there is nothing bolted on.
muscular hydrostat: bend, twist and ELONGATION are available at any point along its length, which a
fixed bone chain cannot express, and the tip's two opposed fingers are a grip with a declared
closure rather than a deformation. Weight passes through the trunk only when it is braced on the
ground, and that brace is a declared load path.
per individual as an OUTLINE on the plane rather than as a texture on it — an outline survives to
distance and a texture does not.
following the skin's seams, and they change the animal's READ everywhere and its ROM nowhere.
declared preferred side, so the matriarch's read is one parameter rather than a second asset.
combat_facing is FALSE and combat_permission is EMPTY. This animal is not staged as a fight and
this sheet does not invent one. What the block states affirmatively is what the body DOES stage: ALLY
LEGIBILITY in the § 3.1 sense — the player must read what a four-tonne animal is about to do from a
follow camera without taking attention off the ground — sitting beside THREAT LEGIBILITY on the same
body, one answer per shape.
PART ECONOMY HOME: NONE, declared affirmatively. No region of this body is a breakable part, there
is no equipment, no machinery, no architecture and no surface economy, and the sheet says so rather
than leaving the block thin [doctrine § 2.4].
| tell shape | body origin | the one answer |
|---|---|---|
| THE HERD FREEZE (OPENER) | every animal stops at the same instant, ears held out from the neck, trunks lifted and turning | the herd has caught something the player has not — hold still and read WHAT THEY ARE READING, because this is a free early-warning system and the animals are not the subject of it |
| THE TRUNK TO THE GROUND, TOWARD THE PLAYER | the tip is laid on the ground on the player's own track and drawn along it, the body still | it is reading where you walked and it has already read you — the approach window is closed, and the answer is to leave along the line you came rather than a new one |
| THE DUST THROW OVER THE BACK | one forefoot loosens the ground, the trunk gathers and throws it over the shoulder, the body loose | it has decided the player is not the problem — this is the bond-lite approach window OPENING, and the answer is to close distance slowly and on the same line |
| THE EARS OUT, HEAD HIGH, LOUD | the ear planes spread to their full width, the head lifts above the shoulder, the trunk carried out, and it is noisy | it is making itself large and it will stop — hold ground, because moving turns this into the next row |
| THE EARS FLAT, HEAD LOW, QUIET | the ear planes clamp to the neck and the width leaves the silhouette, the head drops, the trunk curls under the chin, no sound | it is coming through — go lateral and put standing timber or a section face between, because a gait with no suspended phase cannot be outrun |
THE BLACK-FILL DISCRIMINANT BETWEEN THE TWO EAR SHAPES, NAMED, BECAUSE THE MOCK CHARGE AND THE REAL
CHARGE ARE THE SAME MOVE UNTIL THEY ARE NOT. CR_0145 separates them on head height and trunk
silhouette [CR_0145_asian_elephant_angkor.md:204-210], and THAT PAIR IS KEPT HERE AS THE CONFIRM. THE
FINDER ON THIS BODY IS DIFFERENT AND BETTER, AND THE REASON IS ANATOMICAL: this ear is the largest of
any living animal, so SPREAD it adds most of a body width to the silhouette and CLAMPED it removes
that width entirely. WIDTH IS THE FINDER — a silhouette that just got wider is a display, a silhouette
that just got narrower is a charge — and head-below-the-line with no trunk line CONFIRMS it. Both axes
survive black fill; the width axis survives it at twice the distance. This is a refinement of the
landed read for a larger ear, declared as one, and it contradicts nothing on that sheet.
ESCALATION ON FOUR CHANNELS, nameable before any meter, every channel real anatomy. POSTURE: the head
carried unnaturally high with the chin tucked. BREATH AND BODY: the wet dark temporal streak down each
cheek and the continuous dribble darkening the hind legs. VOCALIZATION: the low pulsed rumble felt
before it is heard. NEW OPENER: the animal that had been feeding walks a straight line at whatever it
noticed, with no wind-up at all. All four are MUSTH and all four are carried unchanged from the
cross-creature lesson [CR_0145_asian_elephant_angkor.md:212-216]; two of them survive black fill.
THE OPENER AND ITS VARIANTS: the root is THE HERD FREEZE, the most legible and least punishing thing
the group does. The ears-out display is the same attention with width added; the ears-flat charge is
the same attention with the width taken away and the head dropped; the musth walk-down is the same
line with no attention paid at all. Teaching order is stop, widen, narrow, walk.
RELOCATION AND TURF, AN INFERENCE AND LABELLED AS ONE: canon publishes a foliage-density figure (low
on the plain margin, banded along the lake shores, tight at the Bale bench) as a build note for
scatter [rift_valley.md:225-228], and types the plain margin as a transit band into the gorge head
[rift_valley.md:76]. Reading that as this animal's route — a herd that walks between the shore band,
the plain margin and the gorge head on its own schedule and is somewhere different each time the
player crosses — is this sheet's inference from the density figures, not a canon statement about the
elephant. It is the only body in the chapter with a route rather than a station.
THE NON-KILL PATH IS THE ONLY PATH ON THIS ROW AND IT IS CANON'S OWN: the seven-observation
completionist chain [T3_Creatures_Tameable:114] plus the bond-lite approach [:98, :116]. The chain
takes the doctrine's shape exactly — distance held, wind held, the dust-throw window read correctly,
the trunk-to-the-ground answered — and a single wrong read spends the window and moves the herd.
ROW CARRIES NO ontology_class AT ALL — the cell is EMPTY — so no class routing applies to it in
either direction, and this sheet neither claims the ORDINARY_FAUNA exemption nor pre-empts the
derivation that would grant it (DERIVED_NOT_LANDED behind FORK 7 by the L6 ruling; § 9 boards the
blank rather than filling it). The collective read is empty for a reason that needs no class at all:
the protected list is a list of PEOPLES. The § 17.1 protection live in this chapter is the /Xam, //Gwi and Ju|'hoansi peoples, the
Hadza, the Sandawe and the Maasai — combat routes only to the //gauwasi, permitted fauna and the
protagonist's own trial [CH_10.md:59, :204; rift_valley.md:367-372]. Nothing in this sheet puts a
person anywhere near a target position, and the Maasai pastoralist presence the chapter carries is a
host and a bridge [CH_10.md:186].
ontology_class EMPTY, combat_permission EMPTY, grade TAME. Not fought at Ch 10, no drop anchor, no boss row, combat_facing FALSE on the ruled state. Care routes staging, never
scope (RULING_10) — and RULING_10 does not reach this row at all, because the cell it reads is blank.
realistic-ethnographic register the row's own mesh_tags.style carries — NOT the photographic-wildlife template. The landed chapter sheet names
its own two bodies "the highest-risk row IN THE CHAPTER for that defect, because the subjects are
real African megafauna and the style cell says realistic-ethnographic"
[BE_0010_S2_olduvai_fauna_guardian.md:415] — a chapter-scoped claim, restored to its cited scope
rather than widened to the arc, and this row shares the same exposure on the same grounds. A plate
showing a clean species-typical elephant has failed; the wallow ladder and the torn ear are what a
plate must carry.
ONLY. The deep-time window's fauna register is Pelorovis, Sivatherium and *Hippopotamus gorgops*,
staged as real animals of a real past inside the fluctuation windows and never as monsters
[rift_valley.md:253-258]; THIS ROW IS NOT ONE OF THEM, and NO FOSSIL PROBOSCIDEAN IS DESIGNED, NAMED
OR IMPLIED BY THIS SHEET — canon names three deep-time genera and no proboscidean stands among them,
so putting an ancestral elephant in the Olduvai strata would be minting creature canon from a
plausible guess. The chapter's ordering rule — the living present opens FIRST and is never entered
THROUGH the deep-time stratum, because that transition is the living-fossil equation built as a
level — is untouched by anything here [rift_valley.md:1134-1137].
REQUIRES IT: SHOULD THIS ANIMAL BE FOUGHT OR HUNTED?** It is the largest body in the chapter, the
region's other keystone row (eland, CR_0066) carries PERMITTED, and a lane could reasonably build a
bull encounter. REFUSED ON THE CELLS: combat_permission is EMPTY where CR_0060's and CR_0066's read
PERMITTED, the grade is TAME, there is no drop anchor and no boss row, and the L11 ruled state
carries combat_facing FALSE. The chapter agrees — permitted combat only against the territorial
guardian [CH_10.md:221], ambient threats none beyond BE_0010_S2 [CH_10.md:98]. The refusal is scope
discipline rather than squeamishness and it is REVERSIBLE BY MEASUREMENT: if a later canon pass lands
a permission on this row, the fight is BUILT and the ears-flat charge is already written as its
opener. TIMID, REFUSED: nothing was reduced. The real charge is lethal, the musth bull is
genuinely dangerous, and the sheet does not make a four-tonne animal safe to walk up to.
scientist and a guide at work on the gorge rim, seen and never engaged [rift_valley.md:1131-1132;
:804-808] — so a design-layer forward read has a home the Angkor rows did not have: the same corridor
read by two people with a notebook. THAT IS AS FAR AS THIS SHEET GOES. NO POACHING, IVORY-TRADE OR
EXTRACTIVE-SECTOR CONTENT IS AUTHORED HERE, because the corpus attests none for this region and the
page rules that the modern strata this region touches are routed through the state and commercial
apparatus and never through the communities, and that none of it is staged this pass for want of a
source [rift_valley.md:373-376]. extinction_threat is EMPTY on the row and § 9 boards it.
dug well and the pushed scrub as persistent world edits, the torn-ear mark as identity-and-age, the
five tells, the width-axis black-fill discriminant, the herd-freeze early-warning readout and the
route inference are INVENTED BY THIS SHEET as the game's own design. The scapulothoracic synsarcosis,
the chain shape, the mirror rule, the sagittal-spine law and the rig-conformance floor are DERIVED
from QUADRUPED.json and cited there. The columnar limbs, the digital cushion, the short thick neck,
the saddled topline, the trunk and its two fingers, the ear pivot, the tusk advance in both sexes and
the molar succession are inline AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY, permitted because no bucket covers this archetype
and declared as such in § 2. The musth channels are CITED to CR_0145 as a cross-creature lesson. The
savanna-population role, the TAME grade, the ground, the season, the two waters and the flood window
are CITED.
[CH_10.md:37, :99, :239]; no player-facing string proposed on this sheet carries a family name,
pattern or agent-noun, and the Grand Sage is dark.
Written affirmatively. Every line names what IS in frame.
dry-season light, the mass filling the frame, the shoulder as the highest point with the back saddled
behind it, the head carried below the shoulder line, both ear planes standing off the neck with torn
margins, the trunk to the ground, tusks on a cow.

near-black and wet out of a freshwater sweep.

other animals' heads all turned the same way as hers.

the animal in it could be mistaken for wildlife reference.
build/3d/schema/anatomy_reference/QUADRUPED.json publishes two sub-plans and neither covers a
graviportal proboscidean; the bucket has no columnar-limb, digital-cushion, spread-digit plan and no
object at all for a boneless muscular hydrostat, and the CR_0145 sheet boarded this NAMING CR_0062
among the six affected rows [CR_0145_asian_elephant_angkor.md:285-291]. THE AFRICAN ADDITIONS THIS
ROW NEEDS ON TOP OF THAT: a trunk tip with TWO opposed fingers rather than one, and an ear plane
whose deform budget is a thin membrane the size of the animal's own shoulder height. The
rig_conformance floor of 34 deform bones remains far below what a trunk alone requires.
combat_permission, ontology_class, collect_verb, dex_completion_class, rng_drop_anchor, temperament_prior, cultural_care_register, hard_line_anchors, intelligence_tier,
integrity_visible_aesthetic_shift and vril_substrate_response are ALL EMPTY on this row. THIS
LANE FILLS NONE OF THEM. Two matter most: a blank combat_permission on the chapter's largest body
reads as a prohibition to any lane that filters by column and as an oversight to any lane that does
not, and ontology_class derivation is DERIVED_NOT_LANDED behind FORK 7 by the L6 ruling and is not
pre-empted here.
extinction_threat IS EMPTY on a KEYSTONE megafauna row while the roster carries T4 on comparablerows in other chapters. The column is filled for some of this chapter's mammals and blank for this
one.
height_m AND length_axis ARE EMPTY on the largest land animal in the roster, while CR_0060 in thesame chapter carries 4.5 body_length. Nothing downstream can tell this body's scale from the two
metre-class ungulates it shares a plain with, which is the exact input a mesh pipeline reads.
intelligence_tier IS EMPTY on a row whose whole design rests on the animal reading the playerbefore the player reads it.
husbandry_breedable, husbandry_venue, offspring_tier_lock and trait_halo_pool ARE EMPTY on aTAME row, while the tameable doc rules ordinary-fauna husbandry an L1 single-player loop on the
TAME-status roster [T3_Creatures_Tameable:135].
registries/ carries the Chao-tier passive companion the tameable doc specifies, and T0_Familiar_Registry is the
twenty-two named slots only [CR_0027_sun_bear.md:302-304]. It is the same hole under every TAME row
in mesh demand, and it bites unusually hard here because the chapter roots no compound at all
[CH_10.md:236, :260; rift_valley.md:845-847] — a TAME grade with no venue in the chapter that grants
it.
primary_region_ids IS EMPTY while region_native carries rift_valley — two region columnsdisagreeing by omission, the same shape the CH_05 rows boarded.
mesh_tags.material CARRIES THE CHAPTER PALETTE WHOLE — "ochre and iron-oxide, rock-panel patina,deep-cut tuff, soda-lake pink" [CH_10.md:223] — identically on all three of this lane's CH_10 rows.
Every term belongs to this chapter, so this is NOT the cross-anchor contamination the CH_05 rows
boarded; it is a per-animal noun problem. Rock-panel patina and deep-cut tuff are the panel and gorge
materials and are wrong nouns for a plains browser, and mesh_tags.era ends "continuous San
tradition" on an animal.
spawn_rate IS EMPTY on a herd animal whose whole design is a group with structure in it.lakes ecology and the African Humid Period — Hassan's Holocene palaeoclimate work and a Rift lakes
limnology anchor" [rift_valley.md:1048-1050]. THE CONSEQUENCE IS THE PAGE'S OWN AND IS QUOTED AS
SUCH: that line "Blocks Section 3's readable-behaviour layer and Section 1's flood-window detail"
[rift_valley.md:1050], and Section 3 states separately that the corpus holds no zoological source for
this region at all [rift_valley.md:245-252]. That stated consequence — not the target's title — is
why every behavioural line on this sheet is marked AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY.
physical_profile BLOCK IS AUTHORED, and the gap is named rather than left silent. The CR_0002 template requires a MEASURED enclosed_volume_m3 off a shipped mesh at canon scale; this
row's generation_status is pending, mesh_id_ref is EMPTY, AND height_m is EMPTY, so two of
the three inputs are missing and a guessed volume would poison
harness/asset_factory/emit_creature_physical.py at source. Deferred to the mesh landing.
kit_ref IS EMPTY, carried forward from the L11 demand state (RULING_13 F1).four-way discrimination against CR_0145 by cite, the plains group by class fact, and the shared
ambiguity case) and the STATE LADDER (wallow colours, the matriarch, the wild-only bull ladder, the
dug well) are both present, and no species-typical photograph carries the three-colour ladder.
