THE BONNET · supporting A5 age and state, spent as THE PROVISIONING LADDER. Both are § 3D's

declared natural spend, and the ranking is deliberately the INVERSE of the sibling primate sheet's

(CR_0041 spends A5 primary and A9 supporting), because on this body the crown cap is the finder

and on that one the tail line is.

[build/3d/schema/anatomy_reference/ARBOREAL_PRIMATE.json], whose reference_taxon reads

"Macaca, Papio, Semnopithecus" — this genus first — and whose exemplar list NAMES THIS ROW BY ID,

"CR_0042 Bonnet macaque". The bucketing is clean here and § 9 reports that as a checked negative

rather than an assumption, because the sibling row is the bucket's one declared census defect.

THE STAGING, AND IT ADOPTS A LANDED PRECEDENT RATHER THAN MINTING A RULING. The spine carries this

animal BY NAME as an ambient presence — "the Western Ghats elephant and macaque and Nilgiri fauna as

ambient presences" [CH_07.md:269] — while the row reads PERMITTED and the ruled state reads

combat_facing TRUE. That is the identical shape the director resolved at CH_10, and this sheet adopts

the resolution rather than re-litigating it [DIRECTOR_RULING_L13 RULING_3]:

ambient state — it sits the high line, it works the street, it is walked past. What it DOES to an

unengaged player is take things, and taking is not engagement (§ 6 rules the difference).

they are inside it. (1) AN ATTACK on any animal in the troop. (2) RECOVERY BY FORCE — reaching for

a taken object in the holder's hands rather than trading for it. (3) THE INFANT SPACING — the gap

the matriline holds open around a carried infant, visible because the females move to put bodies

between before anything else happens. (4) THE HEAVIEST ANIMAL'S SEAT — the highest occupied place

on the frontage, which is occupied and obvious from below.

no boss row and no scripted trigger is asked for or authored — Ch 7's combat routes are fixed at the

marma assassin, the Surapadman-class asura and the dvarapala trial [CH_07.md:252].

THE TAME GRADE HAS A VENUE HERE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE ARC. TAME is Chao-Garden passive-companion

eligible with bond-lite interaction filling the entry [T3_Creatures_Tameable:98, :116], and the

bond-lite tier's home is a trade compound's garden space [:128]. Ch 7 roots TWO compounds — Trade 3

Blacksmithing and Trade 4 Herbalism, "the first returnable rootedness" [CH_07.md:79, :285, :309] — so

at this node the grade is a relationship the chapter can consummate rather than defer. The tier still

has no registry home and § 9 re-boards that.

**THE ONE CELL THAT SEPARATES THIS ROW FROM ITS SIBLING, AND IT IS LOAD-BEARING RATHER THAN

COSMETIC. @ CR_0042 :: trophic_role reads mid-level**; @ CR_0041 :: trophic_role reads

herbivore. Two Indian monkeys, one chapter, one region-page line — and canon has already ruled

them different feeders. § 4's ladder and § 6's take grammar derive from that cell rather than from a

design preference, and § 9 boards it as a POSITIVE so no harmonisation pass flattens the two rows.

2. base_species

DERIVED FROM THE ANATOMY REFERENCE TABLE, NOT DECLARED INLINE. The per-archetype table is on disk, it

covers this row by ARCHETYPE and by reference_taxon, and it names this row in its exemplar list, so

the doctrine's amended § 2.1 binds at its strictest: the block below is derived from

ARBOREAL_PRIMATE.json § sub_plans.cercopithecoid and cites the path. Where the bucket is silent the

line is labelled INLINE_DECLARED.

THE TWO PRIMATES SHARE ONE SUB-PLAN, AND THAT IS WHY THE CONTRACT IN § 4 IS SILHOUETTE-FIRST. The

bucket publishes one cercopithecoid plan covering *Macaca* and *Semnopithecus* alike, so the joint

roster, the ROM table and the gait formalism below are IDENTICAL on CR_0041 and CR_0042 by

derivation. Nothing separates the two animals at the skeleton layer. What separates them is

PROPORTION and CARRIAGE, which is exactly what a black-fill test reads and exactly what the contract

is built on.

cercopithecoid, whose reference_taxon reads "Macaca, Papio, Semnopithecus" — this genus first.

only mammal in the table that walks in diagonal sequence, needing real IK on four grasping

end-effectors [§ one_line], at posture grade erect-limbed quadruped with full forelimb mobility

[§ posture_grade].

because the foot grasps and a primate rigged with a human foot cannot hold a branch or a coping; an

opposable pollex, short relative to the fingers; a clavicle PRESENT and load-bearing, so this

shoulder is strutted rather than slung; a tail present and long, used in balance; and the scapula

LATERAL on the ribcage, which is why the shoulder is built for fore-aft swing and not for overhead

reach [§ segments]. THE BRACHIATOR INHERITANCE IS NOT TAKEN: a monkey's overhead reach is real but

LIMITED and it is the hominoid sub-plan that roughly doubles the abduction [§ joints.note].

degrees, abduction 0 to +110, axial rotation -60 to +60 [FLEAGLE2013, LARSON1998]; elbow flexion 0

to +145 with FULL pronosupination -80 to +90, the defining primate forelimb capability that

separates this plan from every other quadruped in the table [FLEAGLE2013]; hip flexion and

extension -30 to +120, abduction 0 to +60, axial rotation -45 to +45; knee 0 to +140; first

metatarsophalangeal (hallux) abduction 0 to +60 and flexion and extension -40 to +30, the grasping

axis without which there is no arboreal locomotion [SCHULTZ1963, FLEAGLE2013].

jaw, with clavicle → scapula → humerus → radius and ulna → carpus → five hand-digit chains and

femur → tibia → tarsus → hallux plus four foot-digit chains, and tail_00 off the pelvis

[§ skeleton].

chains of at least 4 bones each, ten hand-digit chains of at least 3 and ten foot-digit chains of

at least 2, clavicle_L and clavicle_R REQUIRED, opposable hallux required, gait sequence

diagonal, bilateral symmetry required [§ rig_conformance]. The bucket's own solver note binds this

row hard: four grasping end-effectors plus a balance tail, placed onto arbitrary dressed-stone

surfaces rather than onto branches [§ gait.solver_note].

why a macaque built on a dog's lateral-sequence cycle reads subtly wrong; duty factor 0.5 to 0.75

[CARTMILL2002, HILDEBRAND2001]. The clip set is named against Hunt et al. 1996: quadrupedal walk

and run, vertical climb, leap, suspensory arm-swing, sit, squat, bipedal stand [HUNT1996].

DESIGN under the region page's declared sourcing gap [south_india.md:217-221]: THE CROWN WHORL —

hair radiating from a single centre on the crown into a flat cap parted across the midline, sitting

clear of the brow, with no skeletal component whatever, which is the feature the species is named

for and which § 4 spends as the primary axis; THE CHEEK POUCHES, paired distensible sacs opening

inside the lower cheek, a visible loaded volume rather than a bone (the same inline declaration the

landed CH_05 macaque sheet made [CR_0140_long_tailed_macaque.md:71]); ISCHIAL CALLOSITIES, bare

weight-bearing pads at the sitting bones, which are what let this animal sit for hours on dressed

stone; the tail LONG — generally LONGER than the head-and-body, roughly 48 to 69 cm of tail against

roughly 35 to 60 cm of head-and-body, so *Macaca radiata* is a long-tailed macaque by measurement

and not merely by impression — and carried DOWN, which is the AUTHORED CONSTANT this sheet declares

and § 4's finder rests on: hanging below the back line or trailing on the surface rather than

raised, in every state and every pose; the limbs SHORT relative to the trunk with

fore and hind near-equal, so the standing shoulder sits at or above the hip; a stocky trunk with a

deep chest; the open-mouth threat with the brows raised being a display and not a bite; and the

precision grip of the opposable pollex being the whole reason the take in § 6 is a design surface

at all.

envelope, and what a live animal reaches under its own power is smaller by an amount the sources do

not separate [§ unmeasured].

kilogram animal with the males at the top of that band and the females well below it, so a troop is

a spread of masses rather than one size; quadrupedal on flagstone and vertical on any dressed edge;

the troop moves as a distributed mass with no single centre to read, and it crosses a street at

ground level as readily as along the frontage.

head whose outline is WIDER than its skull, and a long line hanging from the body DOWNWARD.

3. lore_source

folklore_attribution_source are both EMPTY, and ontology_class is ORDINARY_FAUNA. There is no

tradition to embody because the row asserts none.

cultural_significance reads "Siddha-tradition sacred monkey" and its canon home is the tameable

doc's Ch-07 catalog line, which reads in full: "Siddha-tradition sacred monkey populations —

*Semnopithecus entellus*, *Macaca radiata*" [T3_Creatures_Tameable:378]. That is the whole of it.

NO SRC_ IN THIS CORPUS REACHES THE CLAIM and south_india.md § 3 authors none, so this sheet

CARRIES the cell as canon and ASSERTS NOTHING FURTHER about what any tradition holds about this

animal — no veneration practice, no temple role, no observance, no name in any language. § 9 boards

the provenance for a region-page § 3 authoring pass, which is where the tameable doc's own

cross-ref sends it.

Zarrilli, *When the Body Becomes All Eyes* — resolves in T0_Source_Material_Registry, is the

shelf's keystone at 544 chunks and "the only source on this shelf that carries the region's living

practice at technique grain" [south_india.md:1247], and matches 145 times in south_india.md. The

page's whole SRC_ set is SRC_00262, SRC_00224, SRC_00350, SRC_00188, SRC_01903, SRC_00453 and

SRC_00178 [south_india.md:1245-1253]. The matcher works.

the whole region page for langur, macaque, monkey and primate returns exactly one hit: the

Section-3 line that CONSUMES the roster rows the spine already staged, naming "the gray langur

(CR_0041, *Semnopithecus entellus*) and the bonnet macaque (CR_0042, *Macaca radiata*)" and adding

"No new CR_ row is minted here" [south_india.md:213-215]. Zero behavioural content, zero ecological

content and zero tradition content anywhere on the page for either primate. The sibling sheet ran

the identical control and reached the identical absence.

is a parapsychology mis-sort returning "zero occurrences of tamil, siddha, siddhar, kalari,

kalarippayattu, marma, murugan, boganathar, zvelebil and wootz" [south_india.md:1259-1264], so the

slug's apparent volume is not evidence and no claim here rests on it.

The kalari's vadivu poses are named after animals and canon publishes TWO full rosters of them —

gajavadivu the elephant, simhavadivu the lion, asvavadivu the horse, varahavadivu the wild boar,

sarpavadivu the serpent, marjaravadivu the cat, kukkuvadivu the cock and matsyavadivu the fish, and

a second master's running horse, mayuravadivu the peacock, serpent, cock, elephant, cat, lion and

wild boar [south_india.md:227-232; :1355-1358; SRC_00262]. NO MONKEY POSE EXISTS IN EITHER ROSTER,

and the page's own side-quest seed for the pose-watching loop names the serpent, the cock and the

peacock and stops there [south_india.md:1142-1147]. So the page's patient-observer reward — "the

animals are in the world, the poses are in the pit" [south_india.md:240-243] — reaches the elephant

and the peacock and does NOT reach this animal, and this sheet does not invent a pose to give it

one. Its job in § 4 is a different one, and it is a job no other animal in the chapter can do.

a belief. The page authorizes exactly three plant contents for this region — "the oils, the herb

bag and the tamarind are the only plant content this page authorizes" [south_india.md:204-205] —

and it describes the herb bag in full: "the kili, a cloth bag of specially prepared medicinal herbs

dipped in heated oil and applied to an injury" [south_india.md:189-190; SRC_00262]. Those three

objects are the only things this sheet lets the animal carry, and § 4 says why that constraint is a

gift rather than a limit.

"the shelf carries NO zoological or ecological source for this region ... this page authors no

hunting mechanic, no habitat rule and no population claim. That is a sourcing gap, not a softening"

[south_india.md:217-221]. Every ethological line in §§ 2, 4 and 6 is therefore AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY —

general zoology carried as DESIGN, never as a claim of any source this region holds — and § 9

boards the acquisition by its real name.

4. elevation

ELEVATION IS REFUSED ON CANON RATHER THAN TASTE, in one line: this row's folklore columns are empty

and the chapter reserves stylization by name — "realistic-ethnographic for the Tamil and Malayali

communities, temples, forges, and kalari; mythologically-stylized only for the asura, the

pey/bhutam, and the dvarapala" [CH_07.md:271] — with the row's own mesh_tags.style reading

realistic-ethnographic. A supernatural monkey standing beside the one thing this chapter reserved

styling for is the Komodo defect inverted.

plainly: THE PROVISIONING LADDER below is a set of states no species-typical photograph contains,

and the discharge is the contract and the ladder rather than a claim about what some individual

photograph might hold.

THE LEGIBILITY CONTRACT — the CH_07 primate pair

THE LEGIBILITY CONTRACT — the CH_07 primate pair, authored once and stated BYTE-IDENTICALLY on both

primate sheets (CR_0041 and CR_0042). It is silhouette-first, it is black-filled at the shipped combat

camera, and every ethological line in it is AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY under the region page's declared

sourcing gap [south_india.md:217-221].

THE SET THIS CONTRACT COVERS. Ch 7 rows exactly two primates — CR_0041 gray langur (*Semnopithecus

entellus*) and CR_0042 bonnet macaque (*Macaca radiata*), both TAME, both ORDINARY_FAUNA, both

PERMITTED, both named on the same region-page line [south_india.md:213-215] and both carried by the

spine as ambient presences [CH_07.md:269]. They are the chapter's only confusable pair AT GROUND

LEVEL AND IN DAYLIGHT, they share ground on the temple-city street frame and the Ghats, and no other

CH_07 mammal is within a body length of either. THAT QUALIFICATION IS LOAD-BEARING RATHER THAN

CAUTIOUS: at dusk and in a canopy the set is THREE, and the third animal is a bird. The roost case

below carries it.

THE TWO FINDERS, RANKED, AND ONLY THESE TWO FIND.

carried UP — a loop or a high arc that rises clear of the back line with the tip carried forward or

over. In black fill the animal is a body with a second line leaving it upward. Nothing else in this

chapter's silhouette set puts a line above its own topline.

of the crown into a flat parted cap that WIDENS THE HEAD OUTLINE past the skull — the feature the

animal is named for — and the tail is carried DOWN, hanging below the back line or trailing on the

stone. In black fill it is a compact body with a wide flat head and a line leaving it downward.

THE TWO CONFIRMS, WHICH CONFIRM AND NEVER FIND.

fore, so a standing animal's hip sits at or above its shoulder and the whole frame reads leggy; the

macaque is compact and stocky with the shoulder at or above the hip. It is a real difference and it

is a confirm because a crouched or seated animal loses it.

olive-brown to grey-brown with a pale face and no dark terminals. Colour is the last check and never

the first, on the stockings-rule precedent this lane already carries

[CR_0056_african_lion.md:232-235].

THE AMBIGUITY CASE INSIDE THE PAIR, NAMED RATHER THAN ASSUMED AWAY. A seated animal on a coping with

the tail hanging out of frame and the head turned away collapses both finders at once. THE RESOLVER

IS THE HEAD OUTLINE, because it is the one thing a seated pose keeps: the macaque's crown cap is a

flat radial widening of the skull line, and the langur's head is a round skull under a raised brow

fringe with no widening at all. THE DESIGN RULE that keeps a finder alive in every pose: a resting

langur's tail tip continues to move on a slow irregular beat while the body is still, so the raised

line is the last thing to go quiet.

THE DUSK ROOST CASE, WHICH IS THE ONE PLACE THIS SET IS THREE ANIMALS AND NOT TWO, CARRIED HERE FROM

THE BIRD'S OWN SHEET SO THE TWO CONTRACTS CANNOT CONTRADICT EACH OTHER

[CR_0039_indian_peafowl.md:253-259]. At dusk CR_0039 Indian peafowl fly heavily up into tall trees

and sit as large dark masses in a canopy, and in black fill that is the same read as a troop of

either primate settling for the night. THE FIRST RESOLVER IS THE LINE UNDER THE BRANCH: a roosting

peacock's train hangs BELOW the branch as one long straight PENDANT that hangs still, which neither

primate draws — the langur's line leaves the body UPWARD, and the macaque's long tail hangs from the

BODY and follows the body's outline instead of dropping clear of the branch as a still straight line,

and it keeps moving where the train hangs dead — and a roosting peahen, which

has no train at all, still carries the CREST as a fine broken spray against the sky where either

primate's outline carries a round skull. THE SECOND RESOLVER IS ARRIVAL, and it is the one a player

sees before the shapes are even settled: a peafowl reaches height in ONE heavy noisy climbing

flight, and a primate reaches it by WALKING — up a trunk and along branches on the Ghats, up a wall

and along a coping in the street.

AGAINST THE PRIMATES A PLAYER HAS ALREADY MET, WHICH IS A MEMORY DISCRIMINATION AND NOT AN IN-FRAME

ONE, AND THE CONTRACT SAYS WHICH. No prior-chapter primate shares ground with these two — the roster

seats them in other regions entirely — so the question is never "which of the two in this frame" but

"have I seen this animal before", and the answer is stated for each.

THE HONEST ANSWER IS THAT SILHOUETTE DOES NOT SEPARATE THEM. Same genus, same long raised tail,

same long hind limbs; a black-fill test returns one shape for both. THE RESOLVER IS TONE AND GROUND

USE, declared as such: CR_0032 is the dark-coated animal the roster carries as an arboreal primate

[@ CR_0032 :: notes] on Sri Lankan wet-zone ground, where its own region page rides it in the

page's own words as one of the region's "ambient presences" [sri_lanka.md:286-288]; the canopy is

this sheet's word and not the page's. CR_0041 is the pale grey-buff animal that works

OPEN STONE and dry ground as readily as canopy. A dark langur in a wet canopy is the one the player

met at Ch 6; a pale langur sitting on dressed granite in the sun is this chapter's.

*Macaca fascicularis*, and CR_0003 is the roster's single dex species entry for the binomial

[@ CR_0140 :: notes]. THE RESOLVER IS THE CROWN: that animal carries its crown hair swept BACK

into a crest with cheek whiskers framing the face, and its tail is longer than its body. This

chapter's macaque carries a radial whorl cap parted across the crown instead. Crest-back against

cap-flat is the read and it survives black fill on the head outline alone. The landed sheet's own

resting read for that cohort is a compact seated primate on a balustrade coping with the tail

hanging as a long line below the stonework [CR_0140_long_tailed_macaque.md:88-89], and this contract

contradicts none of it.

table's hominoid sub-plan carries no tail at all and a dorsally-placed scapula that buys overhead

reach [ARBOREAL_PRIMATE.json § sub_plans.hominoid]. A body with no line leaving it in either

direction is neither of these two.

THE STATE LADDER — A5 age and state, the supporting axis

MID-LEVEL where its sibling's reads herbivore, and the mechanism is the difference that cell

encodes: a generalist gut and a hand that takes. So provisioning writes CONDITION on this animal

where it writes sickness on its neighbour, and the ladder has three rungs.

animal is lean, the coat matte and lying flat, the palm and foot pads split from bark, the

ischial callosities dark and unpolished, and the flight distance a full one. Cheek pouches loaded

with fruit and seed at the feeding hour and flat by the resting hour.

beginning to rise, pads and callosities beginning to POLISH pale on dressed granite, and a flight

distance that has shortened to arm's length.

stone-polished smooth and pale, the old males' canines worn blunt and chipped on stone rather

than on wood, animals sitting on the coping at midday where people pass beneath them, and no

flight distance left at all. It is the visible profit of a kindness, and it is the reason a

player learns what feeding this one actually does to a street.

THE CROSS-CREATURE LESSON, NAMED AND STATED ON BOTH PRIMATE SHEETS: THE SAME PROVISIONING WRITES

OPPOSITE STATES ON THE TWO BODIES — the macaque grows heavier and glossier on human surplus and the

langur grows sick on it. One street, two animals, two directions, and the player who watches learns

more about the place from that than from any codex line.

jawline below the zygomatic on an animal that is not chewing — a silent record that a take ALREADY

HAPPENED, carried for as long as the load is held. No photograph of a species-typical animal at rest

contains it, and it converts § 6's recovery from a chase into an IDENTIFICATION: the player need not

have seen the theft to know which animal did it. Two rungs, loaded and worked-down.

the highest occupied place on the frontage and takes first; the MATRILINE KNOT moves as one body and

closes around a carried infant; the PERIPHERAL MALES are lighter, scarred and unsettled at the far

end of the street; the OLD FEMALE is thin with her cap gone pale and sparse at the parting, and she

gives ground last.

with no cap at all — a plain round dark head — and the whorl comes in over its first months until

the parting sets. So the youngest animal is precisely the one the contract's finder cannot find, and

that is CORRECT rather than a hole: an infant is never outside the knot, so what is found is the

mother carrying it.

evidence stays vegetable, this animal's is the street's own: a tamarind pod, a strip of cloth, a

length of cord — and at the ladder's top the herbalist's kili, "a cloth bag of specially prepared

medicinal herbs dipped in heated oil" [south_india.md:189-190; SRC_00262]. The page authorizes

exactly three plant contents, "the oils, the herb bag and the tamarind" [south_india.md:204-205], so

every object this animal holds is a CITED object — which is a gift rather than a limit, because the

thing in the monkey's hand is always something the player recognises from a room they worked in.

PRIMARY — A9 THE MARK, and it is THE BONNET: a flat radial cap parted across the crown that widens

the head outline past the skull, present on every adult in every light, at rest and in motion, wet

be dropped, moulted away, folded down or turned off, which is what makes it the finder rather than a

confirm. ONE mark and no second — the DOWNWARD TAIL LINE and the stone-polished callosities CONFIRM

it and are never counted as marks of their own, because a creature carrying three marks carries none

[doctrine § 2.3 A9]. SUPPORTING — A5 AGE AND STATE, the ladder above.

ONE-LINE READ: a compact grey-brown monkey with a flat parted cap widening its head and a long tail

hanging down off the stone it is sitting on.

THE JOB, AND IT IS WHY THIS ROW EARNS A SHEET. **THE MACAQUE IS THE STREET'S OWN READ OF THE

PLAYER.** Every other animal in this chapter reads the WORLD for the player — the langur reads the

Ghats for cats, the peafowl calls what is moving out there, the elephant answers its keeper. This one

reads the PLAYER, because it is the only animal in the chapter that lives on human ground by choice

and has spent generations learning what a person walking toward it is going to do. The readout is the

DISTANCE IT HOLDS: a street troop that lets the player sit down inside arm's length is a street where

the player is ordinary, and the same troop holding the roof line and giving nothing is a street that

has learned something. That gives the chapter's world-rule cost — "the community reacts on sight, and

the quest lines that run through those people remember it" [@ CR_0042 :: cultural_care_register] —

its first surface a player can read WITHOUT a menu, on an animal, in the street where it was earned.

THE DISCRIMINATOR FOR THAT SHAPE, RULED AND STATED IDENTICALLY ON BOTH PRIMATE SHEETS: **A GREEN READ

ANSWERS TO A CAT AND A STONE READ ANSWERS TO A PERSON.** The ruled sentence is carried byte-identical

from the sibling sheet [CR_0041_gray_langur.md:327-328]; the gloss reads from this row's side. This

troop's alarm and its distance answer to a PERSON on the street and never to a cat in the Ghats;

CR_0041's crest troop answers to a predator on the ground and never to a person. One shape, two

answers, and the medium the animal is standing in is the tell that keeps them apart — the same

construction CR_0140 used for water against stone [CR_0140_long_tailed_macaque.md:167-171].

EMISSION: none. The animal reads by being lit — hard plain light raking a flat cap across a widened

head, wet-darkened and flattened in monsoon so the cap reads as a parted line rather than a spray,

and occluded against the frontage it is sitting on.

5. articulation_delta

additions to the body, so the blob test has nothing bolted on to name.

single most important instruction because it is the primary axis. Radial root direction from one

centre, a fixed parting, a WET parameter that lays it flat without ever removing the widening, and

no raise or flatten state tied to arousal — the mark does not animate, which is exactly why it can

be trusted as the finder.

run on an idle sway independent of the body so the downward line stays alive in full rest. The

sibling row's tail runs the opposite carriage on the same bucket chain, and § 4's contract is built

6. fight_grammar

combat_facing is TRUE and combat_permission is PERMITTED, and everything below is INSIDE

ENGAGEMENT, which is player-opened by the adopted precedent named in § 1. Outside engagement this

block stages the free lesson and the take — and THE TAKE IS NOT ENGAGEMENT. That distinction is the

row's own and it is stated plainly: an animal that lifts a pouch strap off a bench has not attacked

anybody, the loop that follows is a recovery rather than a fight, and a player who answers it with a

weapon has chosen the envelope in § 1 rather than been given one.

THE ENCOUNTER VERBS, WITH THEIR PROVENANCE SPLIT, because this row carries no boss row and no

attack-rail rows. TAKE and WATCH DERIVE from cells — collect_verb DOCUMENT with

dex_completion_class OBSERVATION_CHAIN describes an animal whose entry is filled by watching, and

trophic_role MID-LEVEL describes a generalist feeder rather than a browser, which is the cell the

take rests on. COMMIT is THIS SHEET'S MINT, coined for the one shape below that makes contact, and

ONE ANIMAL COMING DOWN IS A DEMAND AND THREE IS A COMMITMENT.** That is the whole lesson and it is one

sentence long. It survives black fill because a count is the most silhouette-proof fact there is.

THE CROSS-CREATURE LESSON, NAMED, AND IT IS THE THIRD CHANNEL THIS CHAPTER TEACHES ON THE SAME SHAPE.

CR_0056 rules that on the lion the two charges split on the VOICE — the silent one is the real one

[CR_0056_african_lion.md:373-374]. CR_0041 rules that on the langur they split on CONTACT — the one

that lets go of the tree is the real one [CR_0041_gray_langur.md:377-378]. On this body neither works:

a street macaque is loud in both shapes, and there is no tree to let go of on a granite frontage. The

channel that carries the read here is COUNT. The lesson the arc is teaching by the trio is that a

tell's CHANNEL belongs to the animal and to the ground it is standing on, never to the pose: on the

cat read the voice, on the forest primate read the grip, on the street primate read the number.

THE TAKE LOOP, WHICH IS THIS ROW'S REAL ENCOUNTER. The angle takes; the pouch tells; the recovery is

a chain of correct reads rather than a chase, because a chase up a frontage is a fight this body

wins. THREE ROUTES, ALL OPEN: sit below the holder and wait out the pouch, which costs time; trade

something the animal wants more, which costs an item; or follow the high line to the roost and pick

the object up where it was dropped, which costs a climb. NOTHING TAKEN IS EVER LOST — a canon

constraint rather than a mercy, because this chapter's forks guarantee every path plays through with

"no fail-wall" and an equivalent-class floor [CH_07.md:195, :209], and a monkey that could

permanently eat a quest object would be the one dead end in a chapter built to have none.

THE ESCALATION, ON THE FOUR CHANNELS, nameable before any meter. POSTURE: THEY COME DOWN AND THE

COUNT RISES — a high-line animal choosing the ground is the announcement and the number is its

magnitude, legible from the far end of the street. BREATH: the open-mouth threat with the brows

raised, HELD rather than flashed, on more than one animal at once. VOCALIZATION: the change is a

COLLAPSE OF VOICES — the loose continuous contact-chatter of a working troop drops out and is

replaced by one repeated harsh bark from the heaviest animal alone, so a street that was noisy in

many voices becomes quiet in one. NEW OPENER: after escalation the opener is the count coming down

and no longer the high-line watch. Two of the four survive black fill.

OPENER AND VARIANTS: the root is THE HIGH-LINE WATCH, the most legible and least punishing thing the

troop does, and reading it costs nothing. Its variants share the origin and lengthen from it — the

angle is the watch spent on an object, the stand-and-slap is the watch aimed downward by one animal,

the lunge-and-stop is the slap spent forward with the grip kept, and the count coming down is the same

line run by three with the high line abandoned. Teaching order is watch, hold your hands, identify,

step off the line, hold ground, and then give ground.

RELOCATION AND TURF. The troop owns the HIGH LINE and it uses the architecture's own routes rather

than the player's: the coping, lintel and roof line of the ringed street frame [EG_0078] and of the

standard-tier craft-street frontage the two trade homes open onto [EG_0093], with the crest canopy

and gully edges carrying the Ghats troop instead [EG_0090]. It leaves a stretch of street upward and

returns within the beat, so the ground changes character while the player watches. Its night place is

a ROOF LINE and a gate-tower ledge rather than a tree — which is also the resolver the peafowl sheet's

roost case needs, because a peafowl gets to height in one heavy climbing flight and this animal walks

up a wall [CR_0039_indian_peafowl.md:253-259].

THE TAME LOOP, BUILT, AND IT IS THE INVERSE OF THE SIBLING'S. The seven-non-combat-observation chain

is the completionist path [T3_Creatures_Tameable:114] and bond-lite interaction fills the entry [:98,

:116]. The langur's approach chain is OFFER NOTHING, because feeding it makes it sick; this one's is

CARRY NOTHING LOOSE, because feeding it works — and the acceptance read is the one state in which the

animal is not working the player: sitting DOWN inside arm's length, both hands empty, pouches flat.

Ch 7 roots the Blacksmithing and Herbalism home bases [CH_07.md:79, :285], so a bond-lite companion

earned here has a compound garden to live in [T3_Creatures_Tameable:128] — and a generalist with

hands in the HERBALISM compound is a husbandry problem of a different order from the leaf-eater's,

because the room it lives beside is a store of prepared oils, dried herb and tablets [EG_0081]. The

Blacksmithing compound is the alternative and the trade-off is real either way. THE ANIMAL

COMMUNICATION GATE IS NAMED HONESTLY: a mid-tier mammal responds at Theoricus through Practicus

[:149], CH_07.md:281 records a per-capability Neophyte floor and states no trade tier, so the route is

designed and its gate named rather than asserted. § 9 boards it.

THE HUNT LOOP DOES NOT REACH THIS ROW, ON THE LICENCE RATHER THAN ON TASTE. The loop runs to

QUARRY-status and PERMITTED DANGEROUS-status species [T3_Creatures_Tameable:118]; this row is TAME and

PERMITTED, which is not that pair, and rng_drop_anchor is EMPTY. Killing one remains PERMITTED with

the world-rule cost in § 7; what does not exist is a harvest surface, and this sheet designs none.

7. care_read

ORDINARY_FAUNA carries no collective claim and a lane must not re-apply collective protection to

game animals. The § 17.1 protection live in this chapter is about PEOPLE: combat routes only

against the corrupted marma-assassin, the tradition's own condemned asura and the dvarapala trial,

"never the Tamil or Malayali communities, the Siddha tradition, and the temple and its

practitioners" [CH_07.md:252; T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0003, @ HL_0123]. Nothing in this sheet puts a

person anywhere near a target position, and the take loop is deliberately built so that the thing

contested is an OBJECT and the people in the street are witnesses rather than obstacles.

READING. cultural_significance reads "Siddha-tradition sacred monkey" and a lane could read that

as protection; the row's cultural_care_register answers it in its own words: "PERMITTED with a

WORLD-RULE cost, not an engine flag: inside the temple precinct this is a standing and integrity

hit, the community reacts on sight, and the quest lines that run through those people remember it.

§17.1 is COLLECTIVE and is framing-level protection of a community, never a claim about game animals

... an animal cannot be harder-protected than a person" [@ CR_0042 :: cultural_care_register].

Nothing is blocked, nothing is refused, and the world answers.

because this animal's whole staging sits inside a community's street. The chapter's register is

standard [CH_07.md:12]; the ELEVATED zone tier belongs to the Meenakshi precinct and the kalari

[south_india.md:56, :60], which are grounds and communities rather than animals. The craft-street

quarter this troop works is the one Ch-7 zone marked protected FALSE and care_tier STANDARD, and the

environment lane already ruled what that means: refusing on that ground is "the timid read and the

timid read is the defect" [EG_0093]. This sheet takes that rung.

The walled court and the tower mass are hard-blocked with every destructive verb off and

enemy_usable FALSE [EG_0077, EG_0079], and the precinct street frame likewise under HL_0001

[EG_0078]. So this troop contests the OUTER FABRIC and the standard-tier craft-street frontage

[EG_0093] — coping, lintel, roof — and nothing here damages, desecrates or fights inside the

precinct. The goddess is honored and inviolate and never a target [CH_07.md:47, :252]; the dvarapala

threshold is the trial and never the precinct [CH_07.md:125].

and the herbalist's bench carry zero armed verbs with the repair-verb economy intact [EG_0080,

EG_0081], and the healer's room is canon's own answer to the chapter's dark mirror — "the honored

healing tradition standing untouched, never a room turned into a weapon rack" [EG_0081]. A macaque

lifting a kili off that bench is a nuisance in a working room and not a desecration.

cell that carries the care is cultural_care_register and it is quoted above rather than

paraphrased.

and the row both carry [CH_07.md:271]. The failure mode is named: a real primate plus a realistic

style cell is one careless prompt away from the photographic-wildlife brief that produced a

documentary lizard. The plate's judging question is whether the animal reads as a designed

individual carrying a named ladder rung, a named troop role, a loaded or flat pouch and a named

mark, or as wildlife reference.

(1) BOLD: SHOULD A MONKEY IN A SACRED CITY BE KILLABLE? YES, AND IT IS. combat_permission reads

PERMITTED, the row's own care cell rules the reading, and the correct tool is the world-rule cost

rather than an untargetable flag. The timid alternative — making a "sacred monkey" unkillable — is

refused on the row's own sentence that an animal cannot be harder-protected than a person. It is

refused a second time on staging grounds: this row's JOB is to be the visible readout of that cost,

and an animal that cannot be harmed cannot report the harm.

(2) BOLD: SHOULD THIS ANIMAL BE ABLE TO HURT THE PLAYER? YES, AND THE COUNT COMING DOWN IS BUILT AT

FULL WEIGHT. A troop that only displays is a defenseless creature to hack, which is exactly the

defect Josh named. The commit makes contact, it is armed behind an envelope the player crosses on

purpose, and no yielding behaviour is written anywhere into the table.

(3) BOLD: SHOULD THE TAKE BE ALLOWED TO REACH A REAL OBJECT — the smith's billet, the healer's kili,

a quest item — OR ONLY FLAVOUR JUNK? RULED: A REAL OBJECT. Junk theft is the timid staging of a bold

idea, and it teaches nothing; a take that reaches something the player actually wants is the only

version that makes the street feel inhabited. What is refused instead is the DEAD END: three

recovery routes are always open and nothing is ever destroyed, because this chapter's forks

guarantee every path plays through with no fail-wall [CH_07.md:195, :209]. Bold content, no wall.

(4) TIMID: WAS ANYTHING REDUCED? No. Nothing was softened, the precinct staging is a canon

constraint carried from EG_0077/EG_0078/EG_0093 rather than a sheet-side reduction, and the

hunt-loop absence is a licence read that names its own reversal condition.

take-already-happened read, the troop-role states, the grown-bonnet age read, the

street-reads-the-player job, the six tells, the one-against-three discriminant, the four escalation

channels, the three recovery routes, the roof-line turf and the carry-nothing-loose approach chain

are INVENTED BY THIS SHEET as the game's own design. The skeleton, joint ROM, gait formalism,

segment roster and rig conformance are DERIVED from `ARBOREAL_PRIMATE.json §

sub_plans.cercopithecoid` and cited there. The crown whorl and its parting, the cheek pouches, the

ischial callosities, the downward tail carriage, the limb proportion, the mass band and the

open-mouth display are INLINE_DECLARED on the bucket's silences, general zoology carried as DESIGN

under the page's declared sourcing gap. The TAME grade, the observation chain, the compound venue,

the vadivu rosters and their exhaustive absence of a monkey pose, the kili and the three authorized

plant contents, the no-fail-wall guarantee, the world-rule cost and the "Siddha-tradition sacred

monkey" cell with its ceiling are CITED. The dusk roost case and both of its resolvers are CARRIED

from CR_0039_indian_peafowl.md rather than minted here.

player-facing line, NW_0006's own operative UNAWARE [CH_07.md:115, :288, :300-301]. The only

player-facing strings proposed are a Beastiary display name and the observation-chain entries, which

name a species, a place and a state. THE TAKE LOOP GETS A SECOND CHECK because it proposes an object

in an animal's hands: the three authorized carriables are a tamarind pod, a cord strip and the

herbalist's kili, and none is an inscription, a sealed letter or anything carrying a script

[CH_07.md:188, :313].

9. boarded_debts

CONTRACT IT SHARES A CHAPTER WITH.** The CH_07 felid contract, byte-identical on both felid sheets,

resolves the dusk-bough case with "a langur's tail is thin and carried in a hook ABOVE the line of

its back, a macaque's is short and mobile" [CR_0037_bengal_tiger.md:309; CR_0038_indian_leopard.md:318].

*Macaca radiata* is a long-tailed macaque, and the PRIMATE contract — the one the § 3D register

makes load-bearing for this row — finds this animal by "the tail ... carried DOWN, hanging below the

back line or trailing on the stone", a downward LINE that a short tail cannot draw. The two

statements are not reconcilable and the felid one is the defect. Reported, NOT edited: the repair is

a sheet-lane pass on CR_0037_bengal_tiger.md and CR_0038_indian_leopard.md, and it must land on

BOTH because their contract is byte-identical by construction. The felid clause's other two reads —

count and direction of travel — are correct and are untouched by the repair.

THIS IS BOARDED AS A POSITIVE SO NO LATER PASS "HARMONISES" IT. The two rows are two genera with two

guts, canon already encodes the difference, and this sheet's whole state ladder and take grammar

derive from that one cell. A sweep that made the two CH_07 primate rows agree would destroy the

chapter's best two-animal lesson. Target: nobody — this is a do-not-repair notice.

Bonnet macaque` is correctly bucketed ARBOREAL_PRIMATE and is a NAMED EXEMPLAR of the

cercopithecoid sub-plan; the bucket declares exactly one census_defect and it is CR_0041, mis-

bucketed AQUATIC because the matcher hit the substring "ray " inside "gRAY Langur"

[ARBOREAL_PRIMATE.json § census_defects]. The wildeBEEst class does NOT fire on this row, and

that is stated so no later lane re-raises it here. The sibling's defect is still live in

creature_archetype_census.json § archetypes.AQUATIC and is boarded on CR_0041 and CR_0040; this is

a third confirmation and adds no new question.

"Siddha-tradition sacred monkey" traces to T3_Creatures_Tameable:378 and no further; no SRC_ in

this corpus reaches it, south_india.md § 3 authors none, and a case-insensitive page search for

langur, macaque, monkey and primate returns only the Section-3 consume line. The cell is carried as

canon and nothing is asserted from it. The destination is a region-page § 3 authoring pass.

No column joins a creature row to ws.community_state_per_region, to standing or to integrity, and

the whole rule lives in a cultural_care_register free-text cell repeated verbatim across the CH_07

rows. This sheet's entire JOB — the troop's held distance as the visible readout of that cost —

needs exactly that join to exist, so the missing column is not a tidiness item here but the one

dependency the design has. Target: the creature roster and the worldstate variable set.

re-raised on CR_0140 [CR_0140_long_tailed_macaque.md:290], and this is its third instance and its

most demanding, because the three recovery routes in § 6 require the object to persist, to be

droppable, to be locatable and to be non-destroyable.

registries/ carries the Chao-tier passive companion the tameable doc specifies and

T0_Familiar_Registry is the twenty-two named slots only, while @ CR_0042 :: husbandry_breedable,

husbandry_venue, offspring_tier_lock and trait_halo_pool are all EMPTY on a TAME row

[T3_Creatures_Tameable:128, :135]. The class was boarded at L12 and L13 and on both CH_07 TAME

mammals; it bites hardest here because Ch 7 is the node where the compound venue finally exists

[CH_07.md:79, :285].

CHAPTER EARLIER ON THE SAME GENUS. @ CR_0140 :: temperament_prior reads bold and the landed sheet

derives its whole take grammar from it [CR_0140_long_tailed_macaque.md:188-190]; this row, whose

design is the same verb in a different street, has the cell blank, so § 6 derives the take from

trophic_role instead and says so. intelligence_tier is the column the Animal Communication gate

reads [T3_Creatures_Tameable:149], so the TAME route has no machine-readable gate.

what has no column is the POSTURE — PERMITTED-but-unrewarded with a standing and integrity cost —

already boarded on CR_0140 and CR_0041. height_m, length_axis, spawn_rate,

tier_classification, hard_line_anchors, extinction_threat,

exactly; and material carries the chapter's own palette verbatim — "granite, wootz steel, temple

polychromy, laterite, Ghats green" [CH_07.md:271] — so this is NOT the CR_0143 cross-anchor

contamination class either. What it IS, is the per-animal noun problem CR_0062 named: wootz steel

and temple polychromy are wrong nouns for a monkey, a generator reading the cell is being fed the

forge, and the one material that governs this body — a wet-flattening crown groom over a widened

skull outline — is absent.

ADJUDICATED. @ EG_0080 (Crucible Forge Hearth and Quench Trough) carries attack_verbs reading

D2_IGNITE, while the same row's own notes say the opposite in their own words — "What is refused
