CR_0030 — the Indian cobra, the ground truth: the short vertical the whole chapter is calibrated on

CANON SUBORDINATION — this document is PROPOSAL-TIER: it serves canon and never outranks it.
The canon: the CVD · the T1 foundation docs · the T0 registries (registries/) · the spine
(docs/spine/CH_*.md) · the region pages (_source/02_Tier_2_Region_Pages/). Authority order: docs/DOC_MAP.md § 0.

READ THAT CANON FIRST — open it and derive from it before you build anything from this document.
If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the

STATUS: PROPOSAL-TIER design sheet, written to docs/proposals/bestiary/BESTIARY_ELEVATION_DOCTRINE.md

and critic-gated against its ten refusal tests. It cites canon rows and writes none. It is the

REAL-ANIMAL point of the chapter's three-point serpent discrimination, and its whole job is that the

player's eye is already calibrated on a true serpent before a false one is met.

THE STAGING THIS SHEET BUILDS, AND THE STAGING IT DECLINES TO INVENT

CH_06 fixes its combat routes by name and this row is on none of them: combat is "routed against the

counterfeit deceiver-yaka (the tradition's own illusion-demon wearing a revered form ...), the

malevolent Tovil disease-demons ..., and the ascent-trial guardians" [CH_06.md:221], walled off the

sacred city and the Vedda forest [CH_06.md:88]. combat_permission is EMPTY on the row, the ruled

demand table carries combat_facing FALSE, and no beat stages a snake. THIS SHEET BUILDS NO

ENCOUNTER: no beat, no boss row, no scripted trigger, no entry in the chapter's encounter list.

WHAT IT BUILDS INSTEAD IS A MAP FACT, AND THE REGION PAGE ALREADY RULED THAT SHAPE FOR THIS EXACT

CLASS OF ANIMAL. Its crocodile paragraph is the precedent and it is adopted verbatim in principle:

crocodiles "are a real hazard with a real distribution, which makes them a map fact and not an ambush

generator" [sri_lanka.md:282-284]. The same page rules the chapter's ambient fauna register in one

sentence — "real animals, real behaviour, never Hollywood-monstered, and no encounter that requires a

kill" [sri_lanka.md:286-288]. A cobra is the purest available case of both: a lethal animal with a

known distribution, a documented warning ladder, and no reason on earth to seek a person out.

THE DISTRIBUTION IS WORKED GROUND, AND IT IS SEATED ON ZONE ROWS RATHER THAN ON AN INVENTED

SETTLEMENT. tank_cascade_dry_zone is terrain agricultural, its env line "the engineered dry-zone

— the wewa/ellanga tank-and-canal reservoir network stepped down the slopes and the bisokotuwa

sluice-valve" [CH_06.md:92-93], and village_edura_ward is "a tank-country village cluster ~300×300

with the warded night ring 60×60 and the tank bund behind it" [sri_lanka.md:61]. Bund, sluice

pocket, paddy margin, threshing floor and woodpile are the places a commensal rat-hunter lives,

because the region page's own cultivation record puts standing water and levelled corn land across

the whole dry zone [sri_lanka.md:1195-1201]. The animal is where the grain is, because the rats

are where the grain is, and that is the entire ecology this sheet claims.

THE CALIBRATION PROPOSITION, DECLARED AS THIS SHEET'S DESIGN AND NOT AS STAGING CANON. The chapter's

beat order is canon: the tank-cascade dry zone is read at CH06_B03 [CH_06.md:127] and the counterfeit

is found at the water-shrine at CH06_B05 [CH_06.md:136-140]. This row's ambient presence sits in the

first of those and its whole design contribution is that by the time a player is asked to read a

serpent that claims to be sacred, they have already spent hours watching a serpent that claims

nothing — how high a real one stands, what its raise costs it, what its coil does under it, and what

the water does when it moves through it. THE CHAPTER'S LESSON IS "to see clearly is to be responsible

for what you see" [CH_06.md:35], and an eye cannot be responsible for a read it was never given a

baseline for. That is why an ordinary snake earns a sheet in this chapter and would not in most.

2. base_species

DERIVED FROM THE ANATOMY REFERENCE TABLE, NOT DECLARED INLINE, per doctrine § 2.1 as amended: this

row is a named exemplar of build/3d/schema/anatomy_reference/LIMBLESS.json § sub_plans.serpentine,

so an inline AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY block here would be a defect. Where the bucket is silent the line is

labelled AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY and says so.

end and elapids below it; 20 to 120 caudals; one rib pair per precloacal vertebra, ALL FREE, with

no sternum; zero limbs [§ segments]. THE PELVIC-SPUR LINE IS THE ONE PLACE THIS ROW DIVERGES FROM

ITS BUCKET AND THE DIVERGENCE IS DECLARED RATHER THAN INHERITED: the bucket records vestigial

cloacal spurs as "present in boids and pythonids", which is a constrictor feature and not an

elapid one, so a *Naja naja* model carries none and a lane that copies the CR_0147 build's spur

geometry onto this row has built the wrong animal (AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY, on the bucket's own

taxon-scoped wording).

joint, dorsoventral -20 to +20, axial rotation -10 to +10 [GASC1974, MOON1999, HOFFSTETTER1969].

THE ASYMMETRY IS THE WHOLE SHAPE OF SNAKE MOTION — the zygosphene-zygantrum is a wedge-in-socket

that PERMITS lateral flexion and BLOCKS axial rotation, so the body flows sideways freely, resists

twisting, and CANNOT CORKSCREW. The lateral limits are REGIONAL, highest at mid-body and lower in

the neck and near the vent, "which is why a uniform per-joint cap posed along the whole chain reads

wrong at both ends" [§ joints, and the reading carried from CR_0147_reticulated_python.md:77-80

under first-landed-governs]. Quadrate-mandibular gape 0 to 130 degrees with a quadrate swing of 0

it and a critic will check it. Standing the forebody from a flat line to vertical is 90 degrees of

cumulative dorsoventral bend. At the bucket's 20-degree per-joint dorsoventral ceiling that is a

floor of 5 joints; a smooth S-curve that holds without a visible hinge wants an order of magnitude

more, and the forward fifth of a 180-centimetre elapid supplies many times that. So the raise costs

the animal NO exceptional anatomy — what the vertebra count buys is that the standing curve is

SMOOTH, and a rig that stands this animal on five joints has built a folding rule.

animal: LATERAL UNDULATION, a travelling wave head to tail against surface irregularities, the

default and the mode a cobra crosses open bund crest in; RECTILINEAR, no lateral wave at all, the

ventral scales walked forward in patches by the costocutaneous muscles, which is the mode a heavy

animal uses to close on a rat hole without the wave giving it away; CONCERTINA, anchor-and-extend

with alternating static and moving regions, which is the mode that gets it up a bund face and

through a stone gap. Sidewinding belongs to desert taxa and is not this row's. Wave parameters 2 to

12 degrees amplitude per joint, wavelength 0.4 to 1.0 body lengths, frequency 0.2 to 2.0 Hz

[JAYNE1986, GRAY1946]. The bucket's constriction block belongs to the boid case and is NOT this

row's: an elapid subdues by venom, and the design consequence is in § 6.

forelimb and NO hindlimb chain, ROM caps 25 lateral / 20 dorsoventral / 10 axial, and the

CENTRELINE RULE — the chain must span at least half the body's horizontal axis, "because a chain

spanning 16 pct of the body's second horizontal axis is a rod driven through a coil, not a

centreline" [top-level § rig_conformance.centreline_rule.reason]. The bucket records the measured

failure it was written from, AND THE TWO HALVES OF IT LIVE UNDER DIFFERENT KEYS, so each is cited to

its own: the pre-fix CR_0002 rig spanned "24.3 cm on an axis the body spans 147.9 cm" [top-level

§ rig_conformance.centreline_rule.reason, the same key as the centreline rule itself], and that

previz rig "shipped with 11" segments where the derivation floor is 22

sub_plans.serpentine.segment_minimum_derivation.landed_consequence].

THE BIND-POSE RULE BINDS THE MESH LANE DIRECTLY AND IT BINDS HARDER HERE THAN ON A PYTHON, because

this animal's two signature poses are opposites: a coiled model must be rigged along its own

centreline through the coil so that BOTH "uncoil" and "stand" are poses the solver can REACH.

read — and the raise is the one moment it acquires one, which is exactly why the raise is the mark.

The standing pose is a cantilever paid for out of the coil beneath it: the base must be gathered

before the front can rise, and an animal that has not gathered cannot stand.

wave and nothing above the line. At rest in shade, a loose flat coil with the head laid on the

outermost turn. STANDING, which is the pose the contract is built on: a SHORT vertical over a long

horizontal, the hood held as a flat plate facing whatever the animal is facing, and the whole rest

of the body still on the ground.

3. lore_source

folklore_behavior_substrate and folklore_attribution_source are BOTH EMPTY on the row,

cultural_depiction_required is EMPTY, hard_line_anchors is EMPTY, and no BE_ row exists. That

is the § 3D register's own entry condition and it is met on the cells rather than by argument.

THAN PROTECTION. The cell reads "Naga tradition; sacred across Buddhist and Hindu traditions;

kalari training witness". THE RULE THIS SHEET APPLIES, and it is the landed CR_0147 rule restated

because the situation is that row's situation exactly: the row is folk-LINKED to a serpent

tradition, the tradition's own being is revered and is a SEPARATE ROW, and this row is the ambient

reptile [CR_0147_reticulated_python.md:101-114]. Doctrine § 3D's ceiling is a FOLKLORE cell, a

staged supernatural claim, or a boss row; a cultural-adjacency cell is none of the three, and the

register stands.

THIS SHEET'S WHOLE REASON FOR EXISTING. The genuine Naga of the Mahavamsa are "a conscious, politically

real sacred people (Naga King Maniakkhika), inviolate; only the counterfeit that wears their form is

the target, and striking the true Naga is a failure state" [CH_06.md:226; :110; :200-201]. They are

CR_0174. A CHILD OF THIS CHAPTER MUST NEVER LEARN THAT A NAGA IS A BIG SNAKE, because the one thing

the chapter asks the player to do is tell a sacred being from a counterfeit of it, and a design that

let an ordinary cobra carry the naga's register would quietly convert a revered living-tradition

being into an animal to be stepped over. § 4's contract and § 6's acceptance test exist to prevent

exactly that, and nothing is removed from the animal to achieve it.

BUILDING IT. T3_Creatures_Tameable:349 types the row "Thread 2 Serpent kalari training witness

(cross-chapter continuation to Ch 07; present at Ch 06)" and its Ch-07 entry repeats it as "per Ch

07 canonical content. Kalaripayattu training tradition integration" [:372]. CH_06 stages no kalari

and the region page's martial section is a kingdom's levy and its five weapons [sri_lanka.md:668-692],

so the vadivu material — including sarpavadivu, the serpent pose itself — is CH_07's and is not

authored here. Named as forward continuity, not filled.

MEANING. The island's standard botanical survey records *Rauvolfia serpentina*, Sinhala Ekaweriya,

carrying "a whole page of Sanskrit synonyms built on the word for snake" [sri_lanka.md:212-214,

SRC_00242 p. 130], and the living-practitioner ethnobotany records that "rural informants name

plant remedies for snake-bite and other conditions", together with those same informants saying the

knowledge is diminishing for want of knowledgeable elders and of interest in the young

[sri_lanka.md:218-223, SRC_00227 pp. 2, 4]. A REGION WHOSE PHARMACOPOEIA IS ORGANISED AROUND

SNAKE-BITE IS A REGION THAT HAS SNAKES IN IT, and § 6 spends that fact rather than decorating with

it.

Plants Used in Ceylon*) and SRC_00227 (*Traditional Uses of Medicinal Plants in Sri Lanka*) both

resolve on the region page's own Section-16 source list [sri_lanka.md:1290-1295] and both are

quoted above, so the SRC_ machinery matches on this region. THE NEGATIVE CONTROL, stated as an

absence rather than as a failed query: the region page's Section 3 names this row once, in the

consumed-roster line "CR_0030 Indian cobra (Thread 2)" [sri_lanka.md:241-243], and authors no

further word about it; the page's whole fauna section is elephant, Vedda hunting, crocodile,

leopard, sloth bear, langur and the Nittaewo absence [sri_lanka.md:241-300]. There is no

ethological source for this species on this shelf, so EVERY BEHAVIOURAL SENTENCE IN § 4 AND § 6 IS

MARKED AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY: general zoological knowledge carried as DESIGN, never presented as a

claim of any source this region holds. The acquisition ask is boarded in § 9.

4. elevation

row's folklore columns are empty, no supernatural claim is staged on it, and CH_06 reserves

stylization by name — "realistic-ethnographic for the Sinhalese, Vedda, and Tamil communities,

monuments, and tank-country; mythologically-stylized only for the deceiver-yaka and the Tovil

demons and their masks" [CH_06.md:240] — a reservation this row's own mesh_tags.style cell

("realistic-ethnographic") obeys exactly. An elevated cobra in the one chapter whose care

architecture rests on the genuine Naga being the sacred serpent is the Komodo defect inverted, and

it is the failure § 3D was ratified to stop.

A4 hypertrophy, no A6 world-response, no A7 composite, no A8 substitution, no A10 on the body. Each

of those is spent on one of this chapter's two serpent-form BEINGS and spending any of it here

would put an animal into their register.

THE SERPENT LEGIBILITY CONTRACT — CH_06's THREE-POINT SERPENT DISCRIMINATION

AUTHORED ONCE AND CARRIED BYTE-IDENTICAL ON ALL THREE SHEETS OF THE SET —

docs/proposals/bestiary/sheets/CR_0030_indian_cobra.md § 4,

docs/proposals/bestiary/sheets/CR_0174_naga_of_sri_lanka.md § 4 and

docs/proposals/bestiary/sheets/CR_0172_false_naga.md § 4. It is SELF-CONTAINED: every claim in it

carries its own citation, nothing in it depends on which of the three sheets it is sitting on, and it

runs from this heading to its own terminator line, so the three copies are byte-equal by construction

and an md5 over the section is the same on all three.

THE SET. Three serpent-form bodies are rowed at CH_06 and the chapter's entire main-boss mechanic is

telling them apart. CR_0030 the Indian cobra (*Naja naja*, ontology_class ORDINARY_FAUNA,

trade_8_tameable TAME, mesh_tags.style realistic-ethnographic) is the real animal of the island's

tank country. CR_0174 the Naga of Sri Lanka (ontology_class SACRED, combat_permission PROTECTED,

cultural_depiction_required TRUE) is the Mahavamsa-documented conscious sovereign court, INVIOLATE —

"striking it is a designed failure state, not a win" [CH_06.md:110], "striking what proves genuine is

a designed reset, never a valid option" [CH_06.md:177]. CR_0172 the False Naga (ontology_class

CONDEMNED, combat_permission FOLKLORE_FACED, cultural_depiction_required TRUE) is the

deceiver-yaka wearing the third's form, the chapter's main boss at BE_0006, and the reason the

discrimination is dangerous rather than academic: "to strike the counterfeit without certainty is to

wound the real" [CH_06.md:29; :137].

THE GOVERNING LAW OF THIS CONTRACT: THE FINDER IS SCALE-FREE AND THE CONFIRM IS NOT. A player

cannot judge a body's size without judging its distance first, and at a shrine pool at dusk the

distance read fails before the size read does. Every finder below is therefore a RATIO measured

against the animal's own body or a COUNT of its own parts, and every colour, texture or ornament read

is a CONFIRM that arrives second. The stockings rule is carried in principle from the landed sets: a

confirming mark confirms, it never finds [CR_0038_indian_leopard.md:294-299].

FINDER 1 — THE RAISE RATIO: HOW MUCH OF ITS OWN LENGTH THE BODY STANDS UP. This is the only read

in the set that survives black fill, night, rain and water. THE COBRA STANDS ITS FORWARD FIFTH TO

QUARTER and no more; the raise is a cantilever paid for out of a gathered base, it reaches roughly a

standing adult's knee on a large animal, and the remaining four-fifths of the body stay flat on the

ground behind it. THE COURT AND ITS COUNTERFEIT STAND THE FORWARD THIRD, and they stand it to a

standing person's EYE — the landed rule is "the forebody raised to meet a standing person at eye

height in the audience posture ... the raise a distributed lift across the forward third rather than

a hinge" [BE_0006_false_naga.md:49-52]. IN BLACK FILL: the cobra is a SHORT vertical over a LONG

horizontal, and the other two are a TORSO-LENGTH vertical over a mass that reads as a seat. The read

is the fraction of the body that has left the ground, and it needs no distance estimate to take.

FINDER 2 — WHAT THE BASE UNDER THE RAISE IS DOING: A GATHER, OR A SEAT. THE COBRA'S BASE IS A

LOOSE, FLAT, SINGLE-LAYER GATHER — an S or an open coil pressed to the ground, unstacked, holding no

shape it did not need this second, and ready to be abandoned the moment the animal leaves. THE COURT

AND ITS COUNTERFEIT SIT ON A STACK: three turns of body laid one ABOVE another, which the landed

resting silhouette names "a seated sovereign. Coil as throne, forebody as torso, hood as regalia"

[BE_0006_false_naga.md:55]. IN BLACK FILL a stack has TERRACES and a gather does not, so the second

finder is a step count in the outline's lower half and it is available at any distance the first

finder is.

CONFIRM — **THE HOOD IS THE CONFUSABLE, NOT THE DISCRIMINATOR, AND THIS CONTRACT SAYS SO RATHER THAN

PRETENDING OTHERWISE.** All three bodies carry a hood: the cobra's is real elapid anatomy, and the

court's and the coat's are landed on the encounter sheet [BE_0006_false_naga.md:50-52, :143-144,

:206-211]. A spread hood therefore finds NOTHING in this chapter. What it does confirm, once one of

the two finders has already answered, is width against the body carrying it and edge character at

contact distance. Any design, plate or prompt that leans on "the one with the hood" has produced a

read that fires on all three subjects.

CONFIRM — **THE STYLE REGISTER, WHICH IS CANON RATHER THAN DESIGN AND WHICH SEPARATES ONE BODY FROM

TWO.** CH_06 reserves stylization by name: "realistic-ethnographic for the Sinhalese, Vedda, and

Tamil communities, monuments, and tank-country; mythologically-stylized only for the deceiver-yaka

and the Tovil demons and their masks" [CH_06.md:240]. CR_0030's own mesh_tags.style cell reads

realistic-ethnographic; CR_0172's and CR_0174's both read mythologically-stylized. THE RULE: **IF THE

THING IN THE WATER READS STYLIZED, IT IS NOT THE ANIMAL — AND IT IS STILL NOT ANSWERED WHICH OF THE

OTHER TWO IT IS.** (The spine line names two items where the roster carries three, and the

under-enumeration is boarded as a finding on CR_0174_naga_of_sri_lanka.md § 9 for the spine owner;

no lane edits canon and none did.)

**THE THIRD POINT OF THE DISCRIMINATION IS NOT A SILHOUETTE READ, AND SAYING SO IS THE MOST IMPORTANT

LINE IN THIS CONTRACT.** Between CR_0174 and CR_0172 the silhouette read is DELIBERATELY NULL. The

counterfeit is a copy of the court's form — "its whole body is a BORROWED ONE"

[BE_0006_false_naga.md:38-41] — so raise ratio, terrace count, hood, outline, scale and pose all

answer the same on both, BY CONSTRUCTION AND ON PURPOSE. A design that let an outline separate them

would delete the chapter: the danger canon states is precisely that a player CAN read the shape and

still be wrong [CH_06.md:29; :157], and the failure state exists because the eye's fastest instrument

is the one that cannot help here. **THE THIRD READ IS BEHAVIOUR, WORLD-RESPONSE AND PROTOCOL, TAKEN

OVER TIME**, and it is the four marks below.

THE MARKS A COAT CANNOT FAKE. These four ARE the BE_0006 perceive-phase content, carried from the

landed encounter sheet under first-landed-governs and given their chronicle grounding here. **NO

FIFTH MARK IS ADDED BY THIS CONTRACT**; where a further read of the chronicle suggests one, it is

boarded on CR_0174_naga_of_sri_lanka.md § 9 as an observation for BE_0006's own next touch and is

not in play.

people's cognate" [CR_0002_naga_tana_water_aspect.md:294-298]. **SO NO MANY-HEADED CREST, NO CROWN

AND NO RAISED HUMANOID TORSO APPEARS ON ANY BODY IN THIS CH_06 SET**, in either the sacred or the

condemned register, because no source on this island's shelf attests one. And one further separation

inside the chapter itself: the malevolent Tovil yakku (CR_0173) are a HUMANOID-COMPOSITE register —

"all deformed but something resembling the shape of a man", man-shaped base with animal hardware

[SRC_00237 p. 62; BE_0006_S1_tovil_yaka.md:36-41] — and share no body plan, no silhouette and no

asset with anything in this set; and the revered Vedda Nae Yaku (CR_0175) and Kande Yaka and Bilindi

Yaka (CR_0176) are venerated ancestral spirits of a living community, are not villain material, and

are never staged in the same category as any of it [sri_lanka.md:651-655].

THE ONE POSE THAT COLLAPSES THE SET, NAMED SO THE ANIMATION AND PLATE LANES CAN PROTECT IT. All

three bodies lying flat and still — the cobra at rest in shade, the court unstacked and submerged to

the flank, the coat arranged low before an audience begins — present a long horizontal with no raise,

no terraces and no motion, and NO FINDER IN THIS CONTRACT IS IN FRAME. THE DESIGN RULE, carried in

principle from the landed tail-tip rule [CR_0056_african_lion.md:241-244] and turned onto this set:

THE WATER IS ALWAYS THE LAST THING TO GO STILL. On the court the pool is answering a mass even at

rest, and on the coat it is not, so the widest mark in the marks table stays alive in every idle the

set has — and on the cobra there is no pool at all, because its ground is bund crest, threshing floor

and dry stone rather than a shrine pool, which is a PLACEMENT read and is free.

THE SERPENT LEGIBILITY CONTRACT ENDS HERE.

THE STATE LADDER — A5 age and state, and these are the states a species-typical photograph does not

contain (AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY throughout, per § 3's declared sourcing gap):

rungs are: (0) FOLDED — the cervical ribs lie back along the neck, the neck is a plain tube, and in

black fill this animal is indistinguishable from any other snake in the chapter; (1) LOOSE — the

ribs part without the body leaving the ground, which is the animal being aware of you and nothing

more; (2) STANDING WITH THE HOOD PART-SPREAD — the forebody up, the plate half-formed, the head

still angled down; (3) FULL — standing, hood at its widest, head level and facing. **RUNG 0 IS THE

ANIMAL'S DEFAULT AND RUNG 3 IS WHERE EVERY PHOTOGRAPH OF THIS SPECIES WAS TAKEN**, because a

photographer provokes what they came to photograph. A build that ships this animal in one pose

ships the pose the animal is in for a few seconds of its life. That single sentence is the § 3D

ladder's cleanest instance anywhere in the arc.

withdraw along its own line toward cover; rise with the hood folded; rise with the hood spread;

the HISS, which is a long low continuous exhalation you feel in the chest before you place it in

the frame; the MOCK STRIKE — a hard downward blow delivered with the MOUTH CLOSED, which is a real

behaviour and is the rung that matters, because it is a strike that is not a bite and a player who

reads it as a bite has already failed the lesson; and only then the open-mouth bite, which is the

rung the animal reaches last and least often. THE DESIGN RULE: the ladder is climbed in order and

never skipped, and the whole of it is available to a player who is simply standing still.

[CR_0038_indian_leopard.md:394-400] and turned onto worked ground rather than forest edge. THE

BUND-AND-THRESHING-FLOOR ANIMAL lives inside human noise: it is habituated to footfall, it does not

answer a passing person, its ventral scutes carry the polish of stone and beaten earth, and its

usual answer to a human arrival is rung 0. THE DRY-SCRUB ANIMAL has no such history: it goes to

rung 1 at ten paces and to rung 3 at three. ONE SPECIES, TWO TOLERANCES, and the player reads which

one they are standing in front of from where they are standing.

names — the dry-zone inter-monsoon, "hot and bright over the tank country" [sri_lanka.md:25]. A

cool animal at dawn on wet mud CANNOT STAND: the raise is a muscular cantilever and a cold body

cannot hold it, so the cold animal's whole ladder collapses to freeze-and-withdraw. A hot animal on

stone at dusk climbs the ladder fast and holds rung 3 for a long time. The lesson is the landed one

moved from a python to an elapid — "a cold python is a slow python", an ACTION-ECONOMY fact rather

than a damage multiplier [CR_0002_naga_tana_water_aspect.md:394] — and here it changes which

rungs exist at all.

before a shed the spectacle over each eye goes opaque blue-white and the animal is functionally

near-blind through that window; the colour clears, the skin dulls, the shed comes off, and the eye

is bright again. It is a CYCLE with a period. The landed CR_0002 sheet spends the same appearance

as a PERMANENT designed mark on a mythologically-stylized guardian —"the eyes are in permanent

pre-shed blue ... two pale blue-white discs on a dark green-black head is one high-contrast

identity" [CR_0002_naga_tana_water_aspect.md:133-138]. THE RULE: on that row the blue eye is an

IDENTITY and it never changes; on this row it is a WEEK and it always does. A blue-eyed serpent

that is still blue-eyed a month later is not this animal.

carries a single visible bolus a third of the way down its body, moves rectilinearly and slowly,

will not stand at all, and is found in the same warm gap for days. An unfed animal is on the move

at dusk and is where the rats are. The player who learns this learns which snake to walk around and

which one to walk past.

PRIMARY — A9 THE MARK, SPENT AS THE SHORT VERTICAL: the standing forebody on ground that has no

other verticals in it. MECHANISM, and it is real anatomy rather than decoration: the anterior cervical

ribs — which the bucket already rules are ALL FREE with no sternum to tie them

[LIMBLESS.json § sub_plans.serpentine.segments] — rotate laterally at their costovertebral joints

under the costocutaneous musculature and spread the loose neck skin into a flat plate, while the

forward fifth of the vertebral chain takes the cumulative dorsoventral bend of § 2. It is a RIB

ROTATION and a SPINE BEND, both inside the bucket's published envelope, and nothing grows. THE READ:

the tank country is a landscape of horizontals — bund crests, canal lines, standing water, laid stone,

levelled paddy that the record says is worked "as smooth as a bowling green" so the water covers all

[sri_lanka.md:1195-1199] — and one knee-high vertical thing that is not moving in that frame is the

only vertical in it. High-contrast against sky or water at any distance, no light emitted anywhere,

one mark and one meaning. A creature carrying three marks carries none; this one carries one, and it

is the animal standing up.

ONE-LINE SILHOUETTE READ: a long horizontal on a bund crest with one short vertical standing out of

its front fifth, and a flat plate of neck facing whatever it has decided to face.

EMISSION: none, and the row is worth an explicit line because *Naja naja* skin is glossy and its

polished ventral scutes carry a real sheen. That sheen is SPECULAR REFLECTION of light already in the

scene — the tank water's own glare, the dry-zone sun, a lamp — and it goes dark in shadow like every

other surface. A downstream lane that converts a wet-looking snake into a self-lit one has broken the

light law on the easiest row in the chapter to break it on.

5. articulation_delta

forbids additions to the body. The blob test passes with no additions to name. Stated affirmatively

because two neighbouring serpent rows in this chapter DO carry additions and this one must not

inherit them: the accreted coat plates and the person-shaped hollow are CR_0172's

[BE_0006_false_naga.md:145-154], and the court's spreader chain and stacked coil are CR_0174's.

Importing either would elevate against canon.

REQUIREMENT ON THE ASSET LANE.** The bucket publishes the rib count and their freedom and publishes

no rib range, so the excursion is declared here and labelled AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY. THE CARVE-OUT THAT

DECLARATION RIDES IS NOT YET RATIFIED, AND THIS SHEET NAMES THE OPEN ASK ON ITS FACE RATHER THAN

LEANING ON IT SILENTLY: DIRECTOR_RULING_L14.json RULING_7 boards "the

inline-AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY-on-a-bucket-covered-row carve-out (bucket silent on the feature) needs

ratifying into doctrine 2.1 — a sheet may not amend doctrine from below", and this block is an

instance of exactly that ask. The excursion: about 28 anterior

rib pairs, each a single-axis rotation at its own costovertebral joint, running from 0 degrees

(folded back along the neck) to about 75 degrees (full lateral spread), driven as ONE chain with an

amplitude taper so the plate's outline is an ellipse rather than a rectangle. WEIGHT: none passes

through them. The ribs carry skin and nothing else, they bear no locomotor load and no part of the

standing cantilever, and the cantilever is entirely the vertebral chain's. THE CONSEQUENCE THE

ANIMATION LANE OWES IT: the hood can open and close INDEPENDENTLY of the raise, which is what makes

rungs 1 and 2 of the ladder possible at all, and a rig that ties hood-spread to raise-height has

deleted half the state ladder.

forward fifth of the chain at a few degrees a joint, well inside the bucket's 20-degree dorsoventral

cap, and the visible consequence is that the standing curve is a smooth S with no readable corner.

Weight passes down that curve into the gathered coil and out into the ground through the coil's

contact patch — which is why the coil MUST be gathered first, and why the gather is the raise's

real wind-up.

rules the head as an independently mobile quadrate with paired mandibles on an elastic front

ligament [§ skeleton]. On this row the anterior maxillary fangs are FIXED and short rather than

hinged and long — an elapid does not fold its fangs — so the gape needed to deliver is small and the

bite is a fast closed-arc jab rather than the constrictor's 130-degree engulfing gape. The design

consequence is entirely legible: THIS ANIMAL'S BITE HARDLY OPENS ITS MOUTH, and an animation that

gives it a python's gape has made it look like the wrong snake.

curve un-bends downward through the same forward-fifth joints, the head arrives closed, and the

recovery re-gathers the coil. It is one motion with two endings, which is why the two read alike

and why the ladder's teaching order matters.

seeds Trade 4 Herbalism through the Deshiya Chikitsa origin ahead of its Ch-7 home base

is TAME, which § 1.2 defines as "Chao Garden passive companion eligible; Animal Communication

low-threshold bonding accessible; Beastiary entry fillable through bond-lite interactions"

[T3_Creatures_Tameable:98]. But this row's own notes cell and the Ch-06 catalog line both gate

it at a tier the chapter does not have: "TAME at Animal Communication Practicus-tier per

high-intelligence species protocol" [@ CR_0030 :: notes; T3_Creatures_Tameable:349], while

CH_06 records "the Neophyte floor across every capability (per-capability per HL_0026)"

[CH_06.md:250]. THE DESIGN CONSEQUENCE, taken rather than papered over: **AT CH_06 THIS ANIMAL IS

AN OBSERVATION-AND-COEXISTENCE ROW, AND THE BOND IS DESIGNED AND SEEDED HERE AND UNLIKELY TO BE

REACHED HERE, WHICH IS A FACT ABOUT THE CHAPTER'S POSITION RATHER THAN A REDUCTION OF THE ROW** —

the landed register of this sheet's own pair [CR_0029_sri_lankan_leopard.md:778-780], and the same

line the chapter draws for its own abilities, which are anchored at Ch 6 and tier-gated "so they

become available from Ch 6 rather than all unlocking at first play" [CH_06.md:250]. A THRESHOLD IS

NOT AN IMPOSSIBILITY. That reading is consistent with every other cell on it —

collect_verb DOCUMENT alone, dex_completion_class OBSERVATION_CHAIN, no

bonding_quest_id, no chapter_bonding_window — and the row's own chapters_present CH_06;CH_07

carries it forward. WHAT GRADE IT CARRIES FORWARD AS IS NOT THIS SHEET'S TO STATE, and the earlier

reading that Ch 07 is simply the bond's second window is withdrawn: T3_Creatures_Tameable files

this one species under two headings in two chapter blocks — "Mid-level and TAME —" [:347] with the

entry at :349, and "Apex and DANGEROUS —" [:368] with the entry at :372. One roster row, two chapter

blocks, two grades; which governs at Ch 07 is the registry lane's and is boarded in § 9 beside the

intelligence_tier debt it is a sibling of. The gate's registry problem (a snake typed under a

"high-intelligence species protocol"

that § 1.5 reserves for cetaceans, corvids, great apes and octopods, on a row whose

intelligence_tier cell is EMPTY) is a finding and is boarded in § 9, not resolved here.

observations is the canonical completionist benchmark [T3_Creatures_Tameable:114]. On this animal

the chain is THE LADDER: each rung documented once, in order, and the last two rungs are the hard

ones because a player cannot document a mock strike without having earned one and cannot document

rung 0 without having found an animal that gave them nothing. The chain therefore teaches

restraint by construction — the completionist path is the path of the person who did not provoke.

a one-lane path with water on one side. The player waits, or takes the long way round, or crosses

below the bund. Nothing breaks, nothing escalates, nothing is owed. That is a resident's effect on

a level rather than a set piece's.

landed shape is that residents VACATE in a direction and the direction is a free warning

[CR_0147_reticulated_python.md:217-226]. The python is that shape's inverse because an ambush

predator answers a larger arrival by not moving. THIS ROW IS A THIRD CASE AND IT IS THE MOST USEFUL

ONE: it neither leaves nor holds still — IT ANNOUNCES, LOUDLY, AND THEN LEAVES IF ALLOWED TO. A

water read answers to water and a stone read answers to stone; this is a FOOT read, and it answers

to a foot at three paces with the entire ladder, in order, for free.

animal quotes either serpent-form being of this chapter: it never stands to a person's eye height,

its coil is never a stacked seat, it holds no audience, it offers nothing, it addresses nobody, and

it is built in the chapter's realistic-ethnographic register while both of them are built in the

mythologically-stylized one. IF A PLAYER READS NAGA HERE, THE PLATES HAVE FAILED, and that is the

acceptance test in § 8.

7. care_read

and doctrine part five is explicit — ORDINARY_FAUNA carries no collective claim at all, and a lane

must not re-apply collective protection to game animals. CH_06's § 17.1 protection is about the

Sinhalese, the Vedda, the Tamil community, the Buddhist sangha, the edura healers, the physicians,

the villagers and the two unaware monks [CH_06.md:221], and not one of them is anywhere near a

target position on this sheet — indeed nothing on this sheet has a target position at all.

are a conscious sacred people of a living tradition, inviolate, and striking one is a designed

failure state [CH_06.md:110; :226]. The single way a fauna sheet could damage that is by letting an

ordinary snake carry the naga's register — which would both defame the honored being and break the

encounter at once, in the roster's own words [@ CR_0174 :: cultural_care_register]. § 3's design

law, § 4's contract and § 6's acceptance test exist for that and for nothing else, and NOTHING IS

REMOVED FROM THE ANIMAL TO ACHIEVE IT: it keeps its venom, its lethality, its ladder and its

standing pose in full.

the row and the ruled state records it NO_REACH_RULED under RULING_10. The sheet designs to it and

writes nothing.

the SPECIES is sacred across Buddhist and Hindu traditions, and that is true and is carried as

world texture — a cobra near a shrine is not killed by the people who live there. THE WORLD-REACTION

THAT WOULD FOLLOW FROM THAT IS AN ASK RATHER THAN AN ASSERTION AND IS BOARDED IN § 9 INSTEAD OF

BEING STATED HERE, because this is the paragraph that refuses invented world-rules and a behaviour

claim inside it would be the thing it refuses. What the sheet does NOT do is

convert that into a protection cell the row does not carry, a folklore attribution the row does not

carry, or a world-rule precinct penalty this chapter's canon does not state. Inventing a protection

canon did not write is a fabrication in one direction and a defang in the other.

CHAPTER.** The malevolent Tovil yakku are the Sinhalese tradition's own condemned disease-demons

and are villain material; the Vedda Nae Yaku are venerated ancestral spirits of a living community

and are not; the two are never conflated, never pooled under one word, and never staged in the same

category [sri_lanka.md:651-655; CH_06.md:221]. This sheet stages neither and shares no iconography,

no vocabulary and no asset with either.

ATTENDED ROUTE IS CORRECT NEXT DOOR.** This is a real animal built as itself, but "a photographic

reference template" is the failure register doctrine § 0 names in its own words — the generator asked

for "anatomically accurate, photographic wildlife reference" and delivering a nature documentary

where a design belongs — so the plates in § 8 are the conditioning input and the ordinary build

follows them. That route is also what keeps it distinct from CR_0172 and CR_0174, both of which are

attended-design by construction [doctrine § 2.5, the ROUTE clause]. The judging question for the

plate: does the animal in it read as a designed INDIVIDUAL carrying a named ladder rung, a named

margin band and a named season state, or as wildlife reference?

(1) IS THE REAL_FAUNA REGISTER A DEFANG ON A ROW WHOSE cultural_significance SAYS "Naga

tradition"? Examined and RULED NO, and this is the pass the sheet most needs recorded. The

devil's-advocate reading is real: the cell names a tradition, and a register that refuses elevation

can look like a lane declining to build the interesting thing. IT FAILS ON WHERE THE TRADITION'S

BEING ACTUALLY LIVES — it lives on CR_0174, which is a separate SACRED/PROTECTED row with its own

sheet, and elevating this row would not add a naga to the chapter, it would add a SECOND one and

destroy the discrimination the chapter is built on. The register governs elevation and nothing else;

every other refusal test binds unchanged.

(2) SHOULD THE VENOM AND THE BITE HAVE BEEN SOFTENED, GIVEN A PROTECTED-CHAPTER SETTING AND A

TEN-YEAR-OLD PROTAGONIST? REFUSED. The protagonist's age is an internal designer-only fact that is

never surfaced [CH_06.md:13], this is a rated-M action RPG, and the region's own pharmacopoeia is

organised around snake-bite, which means the world already contains the consequence AND its answer.

A snake whose bite is cosmetic is not a snake; it is set dressing with a hiss.

(3) THE BOLD DIRECTION, CHECKED FOR CARE RATHER THAN ASSUMED SAFE. Three additions, each checked.

THE BITE-AS-CONDITION with a herbal answer: checked, and it strengthens rather than risks the care

read, because it routes a hazard through a living tradition's documented competence rather than

through a shop. THE MARGIN BAND, which puts the animal inside a village: checked, and its terms are

the landed ones — no person is ever in a target position, no community is shown as careless for

having a threshing floor, and no caste or occupation is attached to the margin at all. THE MOCK

STRIKE, which is the boldest read in § 6 because it lets a lethal animal hit a player without

envenomating them: checked and kept, because it is the real animal's own restraint and cutting it

would replace an honest behaviour with a cheaper one.

(4) SHOULD THE ANIMAL HAVE BEEN GIVEN A PROTECTED OR OBSERVE STATUS SO IT COULD NOT BE HARMED?

REFUSED, and it is the inflation the standing law names: the care register does not accrete, the

row says TAME and ORDINARY_FAUNA, and manufacturing a protection would be inventing canon in order

to feel safe.

primary mark and its tank-country framing, the four-rung hood ladder, the seven-rung threat ladder

and its ordering rule, the margin band, the season and feeding bands, the six-row read table and

its answers, the observation chain's ladder shape and its restraint consequence, and the bite-as-

condition routed to the herbal lane. CITED: the TAME grade and its definition, the observation

benchmark, the Practicus gate and the Neophyte floor, the pharmacopoeia and the snake-bite remedy

record, the cultivation record, the dry-zone season, the fauna-register sentence and the map-fact

precedent, the kalari continuity to CH_07, and the genuine Naga's inviolate status. DERIVED from

LIMBLESS.json § sub_plans.serpentine and carried as measured passive-envelope bounds: the

skeleton, the segment counts, the joint ranges, the gait modes and wave parameters, the rig

conformance and the centreline and bind-pose rules. AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY where the bucket is silent,

every figure declared rather than left as an unquantified excursion: the absent pelvic spurs on an

elapid, the 28-pair hood chain at about 0 to 75 degrees, the fixed short fangs and the small

delivery gape, and every behavioural sentence in § 4 and § 6.

proposes are a Beastiary display name and observation-chain entries, and they name a species, a

place and a state. No House-of-Velheim name, family or pattern appears; the chapter predates the

family entirely and it first appears two nodes on at Ch 8 [CH_06.md:112; :269]. The Grand Sage is

dark. The Mara-vijaya illusion-principle is never named on any surface [CH_06.md:300]. All

perception this sheet proposes is at the Neophyte register — looking at an animal — and nothing

here is a tier-six vril-signature read [CH_06.md:17; HL_0028/HL_0017].

only difference. PLATE H is the acceptance test for § 6's discrimination and it is judged on ONE

question: at black fill, does the raise on this animal read as a FIFTH of the body over a flat coil

stacked seat, the plate has produced a naga and the whole chapter's discrimination is gone.

notes and T3_Creatures_Tameable:349 both gate the bond at "Animal Communication Practicus-tier

per high-intelligence species protocol", and § 1.5 defines the classes by intelligence: simpler

species (most insects, most fish, domesticated fauna) at Neophyte through Zelator, mid-tier (most

mammals, most birds) at Theoricus through Practicus, and highest-intelligence (cetaceans, corvids,

great apes, octopods) at Philosophus through Adeptus Minor [T3_Creatures_Tameable:149]. A

SNAKE IS IN NONE OF THOSE THREE LISTS, and "high-intelligence species protocol" names a band whose

own membership list is four taxa and does not include reptiles. Either the tier is right and the

justification is wrong, or the justification is right and the tier should sit lower. This lane does

not adjudicate it; THE ASK is to fill intelligence_tier on the row so the gate has a

machine-readable home, and to reconcile the justification phrase with § 1.5's own class names. This

is the second instance of the empty-intelligence_tier-under-a-tier-gate class, the first being

CR_0038_indian_leopard.md:811-818.

AT CH_07.** T3_Creatures_Tameable files this same species twice: under the Ch-06 heading

"Mid-level and TAME —" [:347] with the entry "Indian cobra (*Naja naja*) — Thread 2 Serpent kalari

training witness (cross-chapter continuation to Ch 07; present at Ch 06) ... TAME at Animal

Communication Practicus-tier per high-intelligence species protocol" [:349], and under the Ch-07

heading "Apex and DANGEROUS —" [:368] with the entry "Indian cobra (*Naja naja*) — Thread 2 Serpent

kalari training witness per Ch 07 canonical content" [:372]. The roster carries ONE row with

chapters_present CH_06;CH_07 and ONE trade_8_tameable cell reading TAME, so the two headings

cannot both be read off the row. THE ASK: rule which grade governs the row at Ch 07 and give the

answer a machine-readable home, since a TAME cell and an "Apex and DANGEROUS" heading route to

different verbs, different drop behaviour and a different bonding path. This is a SIBLING of the

intelligence_tier debt above — both are the row's own gate having no single readable home — and

§ 6 states the Ch-06 design and declines the Ch-07 grade rather than picking one.

no machine-readable dimension behind it anywhere. THE ASK is to fill both on an axis that states

what it measures; the landed axis-type error boarded at CR_0038_indian_leopard.md:799-808 is the

reason to state the axis explicitly rather than to fill by analogy.

taxonomy that names reptiles directly — "Xanthism or xanthochromism — excess yellow pigmentation;

bird and reptile species" [:182] — and the same section's cultural-sacred-variant clause routes any

tradition-linked morph through "T8 Region Page Section 3" [:185], which for this region holds

nothing about this animal. NO FOLKLORE VARIANT IS DESIGNED ON THIS SHEET FOR EXACTLY THAT REASON,

and the ask is only that the column carry whatever zoological morph the variant system should roll.

cultural_significance asserts the species is sacred across two living traditions. Every other

culturally-loaded row in this chapter's folklore block carries both. Either the significance cell

is world texture (which is how this sheet reads it) and the empties are correct, or it is a care

claim and the empties are a gap; the columns cannot currently tell those apart. Named so a later

lane does not read this sheet's reading as canon.

§ 7.** The cell reads "Naga tradition; sacred across Buddhist and Hindu traditions; kalari training

witness" [@ CR_0030 :: cultural_significance], and the reasonable world-consequence of a species

the local traditions hold sacred is that a village which sees a player kill one in front of it

NOTICES. That is a BEHAVIOUR CLAIM ON THE WORLD, no cell on this row and no line of this chapter's

canon carries it, and § 7 is the paragraph that refuses exactly this class of invention — so it is

boarded here instead of stated there. THE ASK: rule whether a sacred-species killing at a shrine, a

village or a threshing floor carries an NPC-reaction or worldstate consequence, and if so give it a

home — a cultural_care_register value, a worldstate variable, or a region-page line. Until then no

reaction is designed on this sheet.

"brick, granite, tank-water, moonstone, palm and cloud-forest" [CH_06.md:240] — of which exactly one

member, tank-water, is a thing this animal is ever wet with. This is the palette-contamination class

already boarded on CR_0143 for CH_05 and on CR_0038 for CH_07

[CR_0038_indian_leopard.md:820-825], reproducing at CH_06 on every row in the chapter rather than

on one.

them. mesh_tags.style reads realistic-ethnographic and MATCHES CH_06.md:240's reservation for

fauna. mesh_tags.region reads sri_lanka and the row's chapters_present is CH_06;CH_07, both

within this region's chapter_set. mesh_tags.era names a cultural stratum and carries no BCE/BP

number, so the unit-error class does not reproduce here. AND THE CENSUS BUCKET IS CORRECT AND IS

NOT A SUBSTRING ACCIDENT: creature_archetype_map.json maps this row to LIMBLESS on

scientific_name~'naja', and LIMBLESS.json names it in the serpentine exemplar list.

ARC.** The landed guard was boarded where two rows shared one binomial

[CR_0147_reticulated_python.md:285-292]. CH_06 raises it: THREE rows in one chapter share one

BODY PLAN and two of the three share a form deliberately, so a lane that keys a plate, a mesh, a

conditioning image or a rig by "serpent", "naga" or "snake" rather than by creature_id will serve

a real animal into a sacred being's slot or a counterfeit's asset into the genuine court's. THE

GUARD: id-keyed lookup only, and a correct CR_0030 asset must never satisfy CR_0172's or CR_0174's

slot, nor either of theirs satisfy this one.

which is why no § 10 physical_profile block is authored here. The CR_0002 template requires a

MEASURED enclosed_volume_m3 read off a shipped mesh at canon scale; this row's

generation_status is pending and mesh_id_ref is EMPTY, so the measured leg cannot be taken and

a guessed volume would poison harness/asset_factory/emit_creature_physical.py at its source

[CR_0002_naga_tana_water_aspect.md:287-291; CR_0147_reticulated_python.md:303-309]. Deferred to

the mesh landing with § 2's ROM table already derived and ready to carry.

four Tovil keystones, Coningham, the Ayurvedic canon and the Sigiriya graffiti edition

[sri_lanka.md:1357-1365], and none of them is zoological. The page states its own consequence:

the fauna section consumes roster rows and "FEEDS region-ambient detail rather than minting new

rows" [sri_lanka.md:241-245]. Every behavioural sentence on this sheet is therefore AUTHORIAL.

THE ASK: add a Sri Lankan herpetofauna and human-snake-conflict anchor to the region's acquisition

list, since the chapter now carries a designed venomous commensal whose entire ladder rests on

general knowledge.

authors the elephant, the Vedda hunting record, the crocodile, the leopard, the sloth bear, the

langur and the Nittaewo absence, and authors nothing for this row beyond the consumed-roster line

[sri_lanka.md:241-300]. The ask is one paragraph of region-ambient placement for the tank-country

commensal, so the animal's ground has a page line as well as a zone row.

10. the ten refusal tests, self-run

serpent discrimination in § 4 (raise ratio, coil-under-the-raise, the hood as confusable rather than

finder, the style register, the null third read, the four marks a coat cannot fake, the

adjacent-chapter poles and the collapsing pose); the ladder is six rungs deep (hood, threat, margin,

season, shed, feeding) and no species-typical photograph contains rung 0, the mock strike, the

margin polish, the cold-body collapse or the fed bolus.

— the hood chain, the raise, the fang mechanism — each name attachment point, joint chain, ROM and

how weight passes through them, and the raise is explicitly built inside the bucket's published

20-degree dorsoventral cap with the arithmetic stated.

species' real gloss is specular reflection of light already in the scene and goes dark in shadow.

notes stated separately from their subject lines. The wind-up differs from the idle in silhouette

alone because the wind-up IS the gather-and-raise, and rung 0 versus rung 3 is the largest

silhouette change any body in this chapter makes. The part economy is NONE, so no part fraction is

owed and the block says so affirmatively rather than leaving a silence for a gate to read.

moving, which is the row's lesson. TWO CROSS-CREATURE LESSONS ARE NAMED RATHER THAN LEFT TO

COLLIDE: the blue eye is a WEEK here and an IDENTITY on CR_0002 [:133-138]; and the residents-leave

shape gets its third case — the python does not move, this animal announces and then withdraws

[CR_0147_reticulated_python.md:217-226].

through states it decides between, has a season and a hunger that change what it will do, and can

end an encounter by leaving. The doctrine's failure case — hacking a defenceless creature — is

structurally unavailable here, because there is no encounter and the animal's whole toolkit is

warning.

defang, one refusing to soften the venom, one checking the care of three bold additions including

the margin band and the mock strike, and one refusing an invented sacred protection.

(SRC_00242 p. 130; SRC_00227 pp. 2, 4) or a canon file:line; the positive control is named and run

(both SRC_ ids resolve on sri_lanka.md:1290-1295 and are quoted); the negative control is stated

as an absence rather than a failed query (the page names this row once, in a consumed-roster line,

and authors no ethology for it); and every uncited behavioural claim is declared AUTHORIAL_ANATOMY

in § 3, § 5 and § 7.

carrier is a being one row away, so the check is live: no House name, family or pattern on any

proposed string, the Grand Sage dark, the Mara-vijaya principle unnamed, and all perception at the

Neophyte register.

as this row's specific failure mode [doctrine § 0] and the attended-design route named as both

chapter neighbours'; the id-keyed guard is boarded in § 9 as the concrete mechanism that keeps the

three apart.
