2. base_species

DELIBERATELY NOT DECLARED AT CH 2, and the reason is in section 4. When the design lands at Ch 5 the

archetype is humanoid and short-statured, and the anatomy law will bind it exactly as it binds the

Ebu Gogo — a real hominoid joint roster, real ROM, a real gait.

3. lore_source

• tradition: SUMATRAN, Kerinci highland, held under that people's name. The row's own attribution cell

is explicit: an authentic local Sumatran Kerinci folk tradition of a short upright forest hominoid

with an eyewitness-report lineage LATER taken up by western cryptozoology — and THE FOLK TRADITION

IS THE ATTESTATION, NOT THE CRYPTID CONSTRUCT.

• care register: the living Sumatran Kerinci highland folk-report tradition rendered with weight;

the surviving-hominin reading is authorial echo ONLY, never credited to the community as their

claim, and never a player-facing debunk.

• the Ch-2 role, cited: the wider Indonesian small-hominin cryptid discourse, with the Sumatran Orang

NO ELEVATION IS DESIGNED HERE, AND THAT IS THE SHEET'S FINDING.

At Ch 2 there is no body. The row's Ch-2 presence is a DISCOURSE presence: the player, working the

naturalist's-eye method through the SQ9 chain, encounters the comparative discussion of small-hominin

reports across the region. Nothing walks on screen. A design lane that reads "CR_0011, chapter

CH_02, species_class folklore, tier CRYPTID" and builds a creature will have built a Flores

Orang Pendek — which is exactly the merge the region page's standing law forbids, on a row whose own

attribution cell says the tradition is Sumatran and the comparative invocation is not a local claim.

THE ANTI-TIMID CHECK ON THIS REFUSAL WAS RUN AND IT SUSTAINS THE REFUSAL, which is the important part:

this is not the loop declining to build a folklore being. The being IS built, boldly, at Ch 5 where

its own tradition lives, and this sheet exists to make sure it is built THERE and not here. Declining

a body at Ch 2 costs the game nothing; putting one there costs the game a citation it cannot make.

WHAT CH 2 DOES GET, and it is genuinely good content: TESTIMONY AS AN ARTEFACT. The naturalist's-eye

method is the chapter's own mechanic, and a report is a designable object — who said it, what they

saw, how the account differs from the account in the next valley, and which detail every version

shares. That is the SQ9 chain's real texture and it needs no model at all.

5. articulation_delta

None. Nothing is added because nothing is built.

6. fight_grammar

None at Ch 2. There is no encounter, no boss row, and no ambient threat carrying this id.

7. care_read

• COLLECTIVE READ: the living Sumatran Kerinci community's tradition is protected by being kept where

it belongs. The specific harm this sheet prevents is subtle and real: attaching a Sumatran

tradition's being to a Flores site would tell every downstream lane that the two islands' folk

taxonomies are interchangeable, which the region page's own law refuses.

• THE CRYPTOZOOLOGY FIREWALL: the folk tradition is the attestation; the western cryptid construct is

not. The standing memory rule binds — a construct is never credited as Indigenous tradition — and

the row's CRYPTID tier label is a registry FILL class, not a licence to build the construct.

• NEVER A PLAYER-FACING DEBUNK. The anti-fringe corrective is authorial only. The player is never told

the reports are false, and never told they are proof.

• ROUTE, WHEN IT IS BUILT AT CH 5: ATTENDED_DESIGN. A human-shaped being from a living people's

eyewitness tradition never routes through raw generation.

• ANTI-TIMID PASS, RECORDED: the softening considered was dropping the row from the Ch-2 chain

entirely, to be safe. REFUSED — the comparative discourse is cited canon, it is the SQ9 seed, and

removing it would delete a real chain the chapter is built on. The correct answer was not removal,

it was placement.

• INVENTION DECLARATION: the testimony-as-artefact framing is INVENTED BY THIS SHEET. Everything else

is CITED from the row and the chapter.

• REVEAL READ: clean.

8. plate_brief

NO CREATURE PLATE IS DISPATCHED FROM THIS SHEET. The Ch-2 dispatch is a PROP brief:

• PLATE A: a testimony artefact — a marked map, a scratched tally, a sketched footprint at scale on

bark or hide, in the naturalist's-eye register. No being in frame.

The creature plate is dispatched by the Ch-5 sheet, from Sumatran reference, under that chapter's own

region page.

9. boarded_debts

• region_native READS flores_island ON A ROW WHOSE OWN ATTRIBUTION CELL SAYS THE TRADITION IS

SUMATRAN KERINCI. chapters_present is CH_02;CH_05 and the Ch-5 region is where the tradition

actually lives. This is the single most misleading cell in the Ch-2 creature set and it is exactly

the kind of cell that produces a wrong build. Flagged for the registry lane; not resolved here,

because a region key is canon-adjacent and the sheet lane does not write rows.

• ontology_class and combat_permission are EMPTY. If the Ch-5 design faces it at all, both need

values before any lane routes generation.

• generation_status pending, no mesh_id_ref.
• WORKLIST ENTRY: the Ch-5 sheet owes the actual design — base species, elevation, and the encounter

or non-encounter — from the Sumatran region page rather than from Flores.
