two-metre-class span in its larger relatives, and nothing about the encounter asks it to be more.

THE JOB, and it is the reason this row earns a sheet at all: THE EVENING COLUMN MARKS THE MOUTH.

The chapter's own ruling names the Liang Bua cave mouth as the anchor of the wa encounter's fail

state, and states honestly that the mouth carries no site id, no environment-grammar id and no zone

feature row — a build that needs a joinable key still has none. What the mouth DOES have, once this

row is placed, is a visible daily event: at dusk the colony leaves, and from inside the dark the

column of departing animals is a moving line drawn on the one opening in the rock. A player who has

watched that once knows where the mouth is from anywhere in the chamber, before ever needing it.

That is the doctrine's own principle applied to an ambient row: the world teaches the geometry the

fight will later depend on, in an ordinary animal doing an ordinary thing, hours before the fight.

THE SITE REGISTER, shared with the other ambient rows: the fur of the roosting animals nearest the

water carries the same pale mineral bloom the guardian pair wear, laid down by spray. One water, one

mechanism, four animals.

ONE-LINE READ: a vertical bundle hanging in the dark, and at dusk a moving line that shows you the

way out.

EMISSION: none. The dusk column reads as OCCLUSION against daylight — dark shapes crossing a bright

opening, which is the light law's own preferred read and needs no light of its own.

Nothing added. The wing's digit-driven membrane deformation is the real animal's and the anatomy law

binds it: a membrane driven as a flat sheet rather than by the digit spread is a rig failure, and at

the scale this animal is seen — crossing a bright opening in silhouette — the digit spread is the ONLY

thing that reads.

6. fight_grammar

None. Not faced, not hunted, not bonded. Its interaction grammar is disturbance: torchlight and noise

under a roost lift a section of the colony, which is a loud, bright, involuntary announcement of the

player's position in a chapter that is otherwise about not being found. That is a real stealth cost

attached to an ambient asset, and it is free.
