THE ROW IS THE REGISTRY'S SINGLE DEX SPECIES ENTRY for *Macaca fascicularis*, and it carries from

Flores into Bali. The Angkor temple-precinct cohort of the same binomial is a SEPARATE declared row,

CR_0140, OBSERVE-only and combat_permission PROTECTED. Three cohorts, two rows, three different

permissions — a lane that reads the binomial rather than the id will get this wrong.

The Flores form carries no living-tradition claim. The BALI form does: temple-macaque cultural

significance at Uluwatu and Sangeh, and the protected sad-kahyangan handling [SRC_00157, bali.md

L354-360]. The Angkor form sits in a sacred precinct and is non-huntable. The design consequence is

that the same animal is a HAZARD in one place and a PROTECTED RESIDENT in another, and the difference

is the ground it stands on rather than anything about the animal.

ELEVATION BUDGET: ZERO SUPERNATURAL AXES, DECLARED. This is ordinary fauna with no folklore role, and

the doctrine's own scope rule says an animal that is never faced as a designed being rides the

ordinary asset path. Inflating it would be the mirror-image of the defect the doctrine exists to fix.

WHAT IT GETS INSTEAD IS A JOB, and the job is real design work:

THE FLORES FORM: a forest troop, wary of a lone child, present as life rather than as content. It

is one of the first living things the player sees after the fall, and its indifference is the point

— the world was already here.

THE BALI FORM: the bold cliff troop that snatches anything loose from a traveller, laid across the

Ch-4 cliff-vertical agility course as a theft-and-distraction hazard. temperament_prior is BOLD

and this is what bold means.

THE STATE DIFFERENCE, and it is the only visible one: the cliff troop is HABITUATED. It does not

keep distance, it holds ground, and individuals carry human debris — a scrap of cloth worked into

the fur, a bead, a bottle cap. That is the same reading the guardian carries in a different key:

proximity to people is written on the body, in objects rather than in anatomy.

ONE-LINE READ: a macaque holding ground it should not hold, wearing something that used to belong to

somebody.

EMISSION: none.

5. articulation_delta

Nothing added. The carried debris is an attachment set with declared sockets in the fur and physical

properties, not painted texture — because the theft mechanic requires the taken thing to be a real

object that can be dropped, chased and recovered.

6. fight_grammar

Not a fight. ALLY/THREAT LEGIBILITY instead, and the theft is the mechanic:

TAME: collect_verb is TAME_BREED and the row's note says TAME after a gift-exchange protocol. The

tame and the theft are the SAME mechanic read from two directions, which is a genuinely good piece of

design already sitting in the row: the animal that takes will also trade.

7. care_read

COLLECTIVE READ: nothing engaged on Flores. On Bali the sad-kahyangan handling protects the temple

and the precinct, and the hazard is staged on the cliff course rather than inside protected ground.

At Angkor the separate row is PROTECTED and OBSERVE-only, and this sheet does not design it.

ROUTE: ordinary asset path with a shared plate for the two forms.
ANTI-TIMID PASS, RECORDED: nothing reduced; the theft hazard is kept as a real cost.
INVENTION DECLARATION: the carried human debris, the four tells, and the trade-as-recovery route are

combat_permission is EMPTY on CR_0003 while CR_0140 carries PROTECTED. Two cohorts of one binomial

with one blank and one explicit permission is a trap for any lane that filters by column.

The theft-and-trade mechanic has no home in any registry. It is a real designed interaction sitting

entirely in a notes cell today.
