STATUS: PROPOSAL-TIER design sheet. It is the HUMAN REGISTER's CREW SUB-CASE (doctrine §3A.2) and this
sheet RULES ITS HEADED/HEADLESS CLAUSE HEADED, with the argument recorded in §4 — which makes CH_13
the first chapter in the arc to carry BOTH rulings, since BE_0013_S6 rules the same clause HEADLESS
at Blombos on CH13_B16 — ONE BEAT LATER than this row's CH13_B15 in the append-order the addendum
carries, and on the chapter's other leg entirely. The pair is the clause's cleanest available test and
§9 files what it proves. This row is also the HL_0004 DISCHARGE for great_zimbabwe, and the discharge's whole
discipline is that it happens WITHOUT touching the Shona and without a foot on the monument. It cites
canon rows and writes none.
CENSUS NOTE, stated because the demand for this sheet is not a census demand. BE_0013_S5 is NOT a row
of the 224-row landed census (RECENSUS_L8.json): it is already routed, `mesh_pipeline_type =
metahuman and mesh_tags.morphology = bipedal`. The demand comes from the INDEX worklist
(docs/proposals/bestiary/sheets/INDEX.json → worklist_remaining.boss_rows_through_ch13), which
carries this row as an unsheeted boss row through Ch 13. §2 therefore makes a populated column
checkable rather than filling an empty one, and §9 records it.

and the sheet states that as a measured fact rather than a thin block: great_zimbabwe's whole
environment-grammar set is EG_0220, EG_0221, EG_0222 and EG_0225, and the first two are the
monument, the third is a sign, and the fourth is the yard. §9 boards the gap that follows.
EG_0212 Quay, Warehouse Frontage and theColonial Register Room (COVER, D1_COLLAPSE) sits at cape_colony_port, roughly 1,600 km south of this
valley. It is where the ledger's OTHER HALF lives and where the Ch-8 manifest is read against it —

warehouse in a Zambezi-interior fight. §9 boards the kit's copy of the same error.

beat's own objective states the same rule in the player's terms — the yard is finished "without a

the chapter.

great_zimbabwe "combat routed only through a corrupt gold-trade broker or fauna, never the Shona"
[CH_13 § Key sites L94], and the ambient-threat line he was carried on before this leg rowed him
says the same [CH_13 § Boss structure L103]. The addendum states the discharge mechanism in terms:
"the broker was ALREADY authorised by this node as a combat route, so promoting him from an ambient
threat to a rowed encounter discharges the id without touching the Shona at all" [CH_13 L384-388].

Great Enclosure ~250 m circumference wall run, the Hill Complex approach ~400 m, and the valley
ground 500 x 400 [south_africa.md § Zone Catalog L95]; the addendum names the third as "the zone's
own non-monument surface" and rules that what is armed is "the broker's own hauling frames and
crating on the valley floor, never the valley and never a course of wall" [CH_13 L389-394].
trade and the Mutapa successor state — "a Zambezi-interior economy trading gold and ivory to the
Swahili coast and the Indian Ocean sphere, a Component-10-class achievement network with its own
merchant agency," closing the Ch 8 gold-trade loop [CH_13 § Civilizational marks L57]. And the
region page's own two-golds reading: gold runs through this region's story twice, "as the Indian
Ocean trade that made Great Zimbabwe rich on its own terms and closed the Ch 8 loop, and as the reef
that made the Witwatersrand a machine. The two golds are the same metal in two economies and the
chapter is the comparison" [south_africa.md § 9 — page authority]. BE_0013_S1 is one side of that
comparison standing. This row is the other side being carted away.
Great Enclosure and Hill Complex, the Zimbabwe Bird soapstone, and a stone-built statecraft that
anchored a regional polity — "Shona authorship, documented and credited" [CH_13 § Civilizational
marks L56]. The at-risk claim that Phoenicians, Sheba or other foreigners built the ruins is
surfaced as the documented colonial knowledge-erasure it was and is "never entertained as fact"
[CH_13 § Anti-fringe / Frame-A flags L230, L233].
mass, friction and course discipline, which means every stone is a decision and the wall is a record
of thousands of them," set against a mine built to be temporary by design [south_africa.md § 7 —
page authority]. His yard is that same argument on the interior leg, and it is made by the geometry
rather than by dialogue.
ATTESTED POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY, NOT PROPERTY. The Rozvi claimed to rule not by conquest but as envoys
of God, Mwari, and in his name, and the study's central point is "a doctrine of things that cannot
become a person's property at all, standing outside the sphere where everything can be converted
into money. Land is first among them: no one can own land, no ruler can conquer it into ownership,
and no rich man can buy it, because land and money exclude one another in principle"
[south_africa.md § 4, § 8; SRC_01899]. The region page adds the instruction this sheet obeys: "That
doctrine is set against a mine on the same page of the same chapter, and the page does not need to
editorialize about it." §7 rules that no character in this encounter delivers it as a rebuttal.
window's "defining texture is paperwork: registers, contracts, manumission records and dictation
notebooks" [south_africa.md § 18 — page authority]. The ledger, the standing-room agreement and the
wage list are that texture in physical form.
instrument): the win is that "the yard is finished and the buying-out of the site with it; the ledger
joins the evidence-journal and the Ch-8 gold-trade loop closes with the documented Shona authorship
credited"; the loss is that "the crew-call ring is mapped and the ledger is glimpsed — enough that
the mis-attribution beat still resolves and the journal still credits the builders (THE AUTHORSHIP
PAYOFF NEVER HANGS ON THIS FIGHT)" [row win_reward, death_reward]. §7 spends that.
monument among them — are built as type-accurate referenced composition and never as high-poly
reproductions of actual protected cultural property [south_africa.md § 17]; and the Zimbabwe Bird
soapstone is among the sacred objects carried REFERENCED-NOT-REPRODUCED [CH_13 § Asset anchors L249].
§8 binds the plate set to both at every line.
(a) "The shelf holds no Great Zimbabwe archaeology at all; the comparative study it does hold is
political and mythological, not architectural," and a Great Zimbabwe archaeology monograph is
MUST-ACQUIRE [south_africa.md § 7, § 16]. (b) The one source that carries the Rozvi land doctrine
also carries a Frobenius-school hyperdiffusionist apparatus which is NOT adopted, because
hyperdiffusion is precisely what Frame-A forbids [south_africa.md § 16]. (c) The spine deferred the
Shona ancestral Thread-1 term pending Josh's naming confirmation and the region page did not coin it
[CH_13 § Decisions surfaced L308; south_africa.md § 5].
opening: no course dimension, construction detail, excavation, trench, section or find of the
monument; no Shona or Rozvi vernacular term; no named counterparty to the standing-room agreement;
no real trading house, port, nation or collector; no dated historical removal staged as a specific
event; and no member of any community this chapter protects as a subject of this party's action.
trade balance at its two scales, the four-frame line and its counts and roles, the guys in shallow
soil over granite, the wagon road as the scoreboard, the outside-crew ruling, the circuit gait, the
yard's unfounded geometry, and every tell shape in §6.
ONE-LINE SILHOUETTE READ: a long beam swinging level over open grass, and a man beside it with a book
and a case, in front of a horizon that is one course-line he did not build.
THE CREW SUB-CASE, AND THE HEADED/HEADLESS CLAUSE IS RULED HEADED. The clause's own test is what
the player will remember the place FOR, and it is argued here rather than assumed.
face when the protected subject CANNOT be displaced by one — "animals, a mountain, a monument" — and
withholds one when a memorable face would displace it. The protected subject here is a MONUMENT: a
~250 m circumference coursed wall standing on a granite plateau, visible across the valley, and the
named example class in the clause's own text. BE_0009_S1 earned its foreman at the foot of a
24-metre stele on exactly this ground.
display_name is a singular man with a definite article, target_type is corrupted_individual rather than oppressor_apparatus,
has_nonkill_path is TRUE on an individual, and the phase clause ISOLATES HIM — "the broker isolated
once the yard is down."
HERE IS AUTHORSHIP, AND A FACE IS WHAT MAKES THE CONTRAST LEGIBLE. The mis-attribution is a THEFT OF
AUTHORSHIP [CH_13 § Body prose L33] — not an error, a theft, told by particular men for particular
gain. A headless crew would have made the antagonist the anonymous FORCE of the trade, which is
precisely the abstraction the beat exists to defeat: an abstraction cannot be shown to have profited
from a lie. Give the lie a body and the player can see that the erasure had a price list. The wall
has no name on it and never needed one; the man who says he owns the ground has his name on a bill of
sale. That contrast is the beat.
Great Enclosure could become, in a player's memory, the thing Great Zimbabwe is FOR — which is the
exact harm the clause exists to prevent. THE ANSWER IS STRUCTURAL AND CHECKABLE RATHER THAN A
PROMISE. He is never framed against the monument in a combat frame: EG_0220 and EG_0221 are
hard_blocked, verbless and env_boss_verb_disabled TRUE; the fight seats entirely on the 500 x 400
valley ground; the beat's own objective forbids a foot on either monument surface; §6's turf block
states that the one place he never goes is the wall; and §8 rules the framing directly — in every
plate that contains both, the wall is a distant horizontal and the yard is the subject, and PLATE H
is the wall alone at hero fidelity with no yard in it. The player remembers a YARD, and the monument
gets its own frame.
THE POLE, NAMED: CORRUPTED-AND-SELF-JUSTIFYING (§3A.1), and on this row THE ACCOUNT IS A RECEIPT. He
is not deceived, nothing was taken from him, and he is not the knowing pole either — he does not serve
a creed, he closed a deal. His coherent account of himself is four words long and he believes it
completely: HE PAID FOR THIS. The pole's checkable law binds and §7 enforces it: the corruption is not
visible on his face, and the encounter must let him make his case out loud, which §6 gives its own
authored shape. And the region's own attested jurisprudence is what makes the account fail without
anyone having to argue with him: in a place whose political philosophy holds that land and money
exclude one another in principle, a receipt for the valley is a document describing a thing that
cannot exist [south_africa.md § 4; SRC_01899].
PRIMARY — A9 THE MARK, AND IT IS THE BEAM. One high-contrast, instantly readable identifying feature:
a tripod-mounted trade balance at the yard's centre — a long graduated horizontal beam on a knife
edge, a brass pan below one end, a sliding counterpoise on the other — and its pocket twin, a small
folding gold-balance in a wooden case that he carries and opens on a crate lid. MECHANISM: a horizontal
oscillating member in a composition that has none. Everything else in the yard is a vertical (the
frames), a diagonal (the guys), or the ground; everything in the valley beyond it is grass and one long
static course-line. The beam is the only shape in frame that MOVES WHEN NOBODY TOUCHES IT, and motion
in a still field is the cheapest and most reliable read a silhouette can carry. It is the encounter's
whole argument in one object: everything in this valley is being converted into a number. The
doctrine's rule is that one is the number, and the two scales are ONE mark rather than two — the same
instrument at arm's length and at hand's length.
THE RANGE BANDS ARE DECLARED RATHER THAN ASSERTED, because "identifies him at any distance" is a claim
a black-fill test can falsify and this arena is 500 x 400 metres. THE BEAM IS ROUGHLY 2 METRES OF SPAN
ON A TRIPOD AT CHEST HEIGHT, so it is a MID-AND-NEAR mark: it reads from the yard's own ground and from
the approach's last hundred metres or so, where its motion in a static field is unmistakable and where
the player is deciding what to spend the crossing on. IT DOES NOT CARRY THE FAR BAND AND THE SHEET DOES
NOT PRETEND IT DOES. At 400 metres the encounter is identified by the two things already authored for
that range and measured in metres rather than in centimetres — THE FRAMES, four sawn-timber A-shapes
standing several metres tall on open grass under a low horizon, which is the only vertical content in
the valley that is not the monument (§4's A3 axis and §6's fractions), and THE PALE LINEN COAT, the one
light-valued figure among a crew in shirtsleeves and dust on a field of dry grass (§2). Far band: the
yard. Mid and near band: the beam, and then the case in his hands when he makes his account. The mark
does not have to do the far band's work, and a sheet that says it does has failed its own distance
test.
WHY IT IS NOT ANOTHER STRAIGHT EDGE, RECORDED BECAUSE THE CHAPTER HAS TWO ALREADY. BE_0013_S3's mark
is a straight tool-cut on a wall that has none, and BE_0013_S6's is a stack of sawn crates on a coast
that has none. Both are geometric-contrast marks and both are correct. A third would be the extraction
register's signature turning into this lane's tic, and the sheet chose a different channel — MOTION
rather than GEOMETRY — on purpose. §9 files the observation as a doctrine note, because the recurrence
is real and worth naming once rather than repeating silently.
SUPPORTING — A3 ARMORED AND BREAKABLE REGIONS, TRANSPOSED ONTO THE HAULING FRAMES. The row's own first
counter names it — collapse or fire the hauling frames to take the yard out from under the crew-calls
(EG_0225) — and win_condition = REDUCE;EXPOSE runs through it. MECHANISM: structural load paths
with no redundancy, on an assembly that is lashed rather than jointed, guyed to anchors in a thin soil
over granite, and stacked with its own fuel. EG_0225 arms both D1_COLLAPSE and D2_IGNITE for both
sides, and the three currencies are met part for part in §6. What makes the transposition different
from its two siblings rather than a third copy: BE_0009_S1's rig was one machine and one clock;
BE_0013_S6's was one rig on a floor the sea was taking back; this is FOUR frames on ground that is
not going anywhere, so the fight's question is not WHEN but WHICH — and because the row's arena is
permanent, every frame the player takes is gone for the rest of the encounter and for the rest of the
chapter.
SUPPORTING — A5 AGE AND STATE, AND IT IS THE CHAPTER'S ARGUMENT MADE MATERIAL: HIS YARD IS WEEKS OLD
AND THE WALL IS NOT. Every object in his operation is new — timber still pale at the saw cuts, rope
unweathered, canvas unstained, anchor pegs bright at the head, and a road that is a scar rather than a
path — standing in front of a structure that has held by mass, friction and course discipline for
centuries [south_africa.md § 7]. MECHANISM: the visible age difference between a thing built to be here
and a thing built to leave. It costs no anatomy, it is entirely light-law compliant, and it says the
whole thesis in one frame without a line of dialogue, which is exactly what the region page instructed.
SUPPORTING — A10 NEGATIVE SPACE, AND THE ABSENT THING IS A WALL. The man who says he owns this ground
has built nothing that would still be standing next year. His yard has no enclosure, no foundation, no
course, no gate that is not two posts — its whole outline is poles, guys and slack canvas, all
diagonals, in front of a horizon that is one long uninterrupted horizontal. MECHANISM: an occupation
with its permanence removed — a silhouette with the piece missing that the place is famous for. It
reads instantly in black fill and it is the A5 axis's own conclusion: he did not come to stay, and the
ground knows it before the player does.
MECHANISM ROLL-UP, per the doctrine's requirement: A9 is a free-swinging horizontal in a field that has
none; A3 is lashed load paths guyed into shallow soil with their own fuel stacked beside them; A5 is
new timber in front of old stone; A10 is an occupation with no permanence in its outline. EMISSION:
NONE, with one named and lawful exception — the yard's LAMPS and, if the player fires the stores, the
stores themselves, both combustion with visible fuel, a colour that tracks temperature and ash that
cools to dark, which is the light law's first emitting family used exactly as EG_0225's
fire:enhance and fuel:flammable arm it. Nothing else in this encounter self-lights; the yard reads
by open daylight on a plateau and by occlusion against a low horizon.
any person in this encounter.
lane owes, each item with its attachment and its travel:
head block that turns, and a load that HANGS. The encounter's legibility depends on the player
believing the guys are under tension, and tension cannot be faked in a wide shot on open ground
where there is nothing else to look at.
physics requirement BE_0009_S1 filed for a running cable, BE_0013_S1 for a drive belt,
BE_0013_S2 for a hide whip and BE_0013_S6 for a fall on wet rock, arriving a fifth time and
adding one case: a guy released under load whips SIDEWAYS and takes its anchor peg with it. §9 files
the five as one dependency, as its siblings did.
draws slowly under repeated load and then goes all at once, and the frame's lean between those two
events is the player's warning. If the build makes the anchors static, the encounter loses its
best telegraph and becomes a prop-breaking exercise.
and a mark that is animated on a loop instead of simulated will read as decoration within one
encounter. Its stillness matters as much as its motion: when the beam stops, something has been set
on it.
physical readouts, driven by the yard's state rather than by a script — BE_0009_S1's
gap-under-the-stone and BE_0013_S6's crate-course-height applied to a third geometry.
BE_0013_S2 § 9 raised — a crowd that WORKS, routes around a structure rather than around the
player, and performs a decision — with one addition: here the decision is made MAN BY MAN rather
than by the floor at once, because these men are paid rather than pressed, and the difference is
the encounter's morale part.
rows.
THE PARTY. EG_0220 and EG_0221 are hard_blocked, enemy_usable FALSE, attack_verbs = none,
env_boss_verb_disabled TRUE, with six hard-line references each. No phase, no verb, no ability, no
hazard, no collapsing frame, no fired stack, no stray physics object and no failure state reaches the
Great Enclosure's wall run or the Hill Complex approach; neither is an arena volume, a streaming
neighbour, or a surface a load may swing over. The fire in particular is a build-time boundary
rather than an intention: EG_0225 is D2_IGNITE-armed with fuel:flammable and the stores stand
on grass, so the propagation volume needs a hard edge that a designer cannot move by accident, and
§9 files it.
[south_africa.md § 1] with almost no cover in it, so the frames are the only things to put a back to
and they are also the things the player came to drop; and a low horizon that carries the monument as
a distant horizontal in exactly one direction, so the camera can find it without the fight ever going
there. THE APPROACH HAS NO ENVIRONMENT-GRAMMAR ROW OF ITS OWN and this sheet does not borrow one: the
zone's four rows are the two monument rows, the sign, and the yard, and none of them is vegetation or
concealment. The approach is therefore authored as open savanna at arena grain and §9 boards the
registry gap rather than reaching 1,600 km south for a Cape fynbos row that belongs to another zone.
VOLUME at the yard's landward edge, on the side away from the road, that is not part of the fight's
arena volume — declared, bounded, and outside the fire propagation edge this sheet already asks for.
§6 says who stands in it and §7 records why it is there.
VERBS ARE STRIKE AND EXPOSE, axis 45/25/30, blended and Patterns-forward. The row's three counters,
verbatim: collapse or fire the hauling frames to take the yard out from under the crew-calls
(EG_0225); the crew-call answered by breaking the ring before it closes; and the broker himself
answered by the ledger in the yard, which is what closes the Ch-8 gold-trade loop the chapter came here
to close. Two phases, evolve-not-swap — the row's clause is THE SAME CREW-CALL GRAMMAR, CLOSED TO A
TIGHTER RING AS THE GROUND HE BOUGHT EMPTIES, and escalation_vector = tighten_telegraph says the same
in a column. This sheet does not restate the kit's twelve abilities; it supplies the bodies they
originate in.
THE ENCOUNTER'S STRUCTURAL IDEA: THE FIGHT IS AGAINST A BUSINESS, AND A BUSINESS IS PEOPLE PLUS
STRUCTURE PLUS A REASON TO STAY. The player can take any of the three and the encounter is different
each way — drop the frames and the work stops; break the ring and the calls go unanswered; reach the
ledger and the reason goes. All three converge and none of them is a health bar. That is what the 25 on
the preparation axis is spent on and it is why a yard on open ground with no cover is the right arena:
the player has to decide what to spend the crossing on.
THE VALLEY IS NOT EMPTY AND THE ENCOUNTER SHOWS THAT IT IS NOT. Standing at the yard's landward edge,
on the side away from the road, are people of this valley — the Shona whose ancestors laid the courses
the horizon is made of, and whose documented authorship the next beat credits [CH_13 §10 CH13_B12
L164-167; § Civilizational marks L56]. They are there before the player arrives, they do not leave when
the fight starts, and they are counting the wagons. THAT IS THE WHOLE OF WHAT THEY DO.
THEY ARE NEVER TARGETABLE, AND THAT IS A BUILD RULE RATHER THAN AN INTENTION. Not aggro-eligible, not
target-selection candidates, not damageable by any player ability, any crew ability, any collapsing
frame, any fired stack, any stray physics object or any failure state on any path. They stand in §5's
declared volume, which is outside the arena volume and outside the fire propagation edge, and it is the
same engine boundary the monument rows and the stores already require — one check, three consumers.
THEY CHANGE NOTHING MECHANICAL AND THAT IS DELIBERATE. They are not a hostage timer, not an escort, not
a morale modifier, not a fail condition, and not a reward gate. Making their safety a mechanic would
convert a living people's presence into a resource the player manages, which is exactly the use the
chapter's own care framing refuses and the same refusal BE_0013_S1 § 7 recorded about the pressed
labor on the other leg.
WHAT THEY CHANGE IS THE READ, AND IT IS THE READ THE WHOLE BEAT IS FOR. The broker's account of himself
is that he bought this valley, and he says it out loud in a frame that contains the people who are
still standing on it. Nobody has to answer him. The ledger in the yard is being written over a claim
that is physically present, and the encounter's EXPOSE half lands on a crate with witnesses at the edge
of the light. On the win the ledger goes to the journal and the builders are credited; on the loss the
credit still lands by the row's own death_reward, and the people are still there either way — which
is the row's death reward stated as a fact in the world rather than as a consolation in a column.
PART ECONOMY HOME, DECLARED BY NAME per doctrine §2.4, AND THIS ROW USES THREE. ARCHITECTURE — the
hauling frames and their guys, which belong to the boss's operation rather than to his body, and which
EG_0225 types feature_category = structural. MORALE — the crew's wage, which is BE_0013_S2 § 9's
proposed EIGHTH home arriving on a second row in the same chapter and therefore no longer a one-off.
EQUIPMENT — the ledger and the balance. Zero parts are on his body. Silhouette fractions are given as
fractions of the ARENA for the architecture parts and of HIS OWN silhouette for the equipment, and the
morale part carries none, which is the finding.
| tell shape | body origin | one answer | counter class |
|---|---|---|---|
| the crew-call — one call, and the yard's men change station WITHOUT STOPPING WORK | his voice, projected across open ground | nothing. It is free, and it is the ring stated once: this yard answers a voice, and the whole fight is about that | none — the opener |
| the ring — the men on the FAR frames start walking, unhurried, and the near ones do not | the crew closing a formation rather than charging a line | COVER, and break the ring before it closes — the row's own second counter, and walking rather than running is the frame of warning it costs him nothing to give | cover |
| the loaded guy — a guy line goes straight, the frame's head stops swinging, and the beam beyond it goes still | a hauling frame taking load through its lashing and its anchors [EG_0225] | THE FRAME — collapse it or fire it, the row's own first counter, and a loaded frame is the only time its members are all readable at once | weak-point |
| the drawing peg — an anchor head lifts a finger's width out of the soil and the frame leans | a peg in thin soil over granite, drawing under repeated load before it goes | GET OUT FROM UNDER THE ARC — and then read it, because a leaning frame tells the player they are winning from anywhere in the yard | dodge-only, then read |
| the raised tool — a yard hand RAISES a pick instead of levelling it | a working man using a tool as a weapon, badly | DODGE — and it is the same raise-versus-level read the labor floor taught at CH13_B09, met a second time in the same chapter on a different kind of man | dodge-only |
| the open ground — there is nothing to put a back to, and the only cover is the thing you came to drop | the valley floor, 500 x 400, which is why he chose it and which is the row's own arena | POSITIONAL — spend the crossing, and spend it on the frames | positional / preparation |
| the man who looks at the gate — one crewman stops working and looks away from the fight | a man who works for a wage and not for a cause [kit ability 6] | INTERRUPT — press it, and he leaves and does not come back; this is the morale part opening and it is a subtraction rather than a kill | trigger-interrupt |
| the moved-upwind crew — the men shift to windward before anything is alight | the yard's own flammable stores and the crew's knowledge of them [EG_0225, fuel:flammable] | COVER AND READ THE WIND — they tell the player where the fire will go one beat before it goes, which is the arena arming itself against both sides equally | cover |
| the case on the crate lid — he sets the small balance down, opens the ledger, and makes his account out loud | his own account, with nothing committed behind it; the pole's required beat, and the kit's own "he keeps returning to the same crate" [kit ability 7] | THE LEDGER — the row's own third counter, and the answer is evidence rather than movement | weak_point, per KIT_BE_0013_S5 ability 7, and this sheet aligns to the kit rather than minting a class the kit's roster does not carry |
| the stopped calling — he stops answering his own men and turns toward the road head | his own legs, and the phase-two exit [kit ability 11] | INTERRUPT IT, or let him go and take the book — has_nonkill_path TRUE lives in exactly this shape | trigger-interrupt |
ONE SHAPE, ONE ANSWER, AND TWO PAIRS ARE DISAMBIGUATED RATHER THAN LEFT TO THE EYE. THE LOADED GUY and
THE DRAWING PEG both live on a frame's lines and carry different answers, so the discriminator is
stated: the loaded guy is a line GOING STRAIGHT and it is an invitation — every member is readable and
the frame is worth taking now; the drawing peg is an anchor head COMING UP and it is a warning — the
frame is going by itself and the arc under it is where a player dies to their own success. Tension
first, then extraction, and both are legible in black fill. THE RING and THE MOVED-UPWIND CREW are both
the crew relocating as a body and both answer to cover, which is legitimate because two shapes may
share one answer; what may not happen is one shape carrying two, and the discriminator is kept anyway
because it is free — the ring closes IN and the upwind shift goes ACROSS.
THE DELIBERATE CROSS-ENCOUNTER LESSON IS THE RAISE-VERSUS-LEVEL READ, and this sheet names it as
BE_0013_S2 § 6 named it: an enforcer who raises a baton is committing and is answered by a dodge or
a stagger-break, and a levelled weapon is a different problem entirely. It was taught on the labor
floor at CH13_B09, it is spent here on a yard hand with a pick several beats later, and it is the read the
arc's garrison and work-crew encounters keep re-using from Ch 14 onward.
THE SECOND CROSS-ENCOUNTER LESSON IS THE CREW SUB-CASE'S OWN, AND THIS ROW GIVES IT A NEW CAUSE. The
register's named escalation is the relay chain BREAKING — men shouting past each other — and
BE_0013_S6 used it at Blombos with the sea as the cause. Here the chain does not break from panic or
noise. It breaks because these men are PAID, and paid men stop. That is a quieter and more damning
version of the same beat and it is the row's own morale part expressed as a sound.
BREAKABLE PARTS, each with the three currencies:
vertical content, about 0.30, and on open grass under a low horizon they are the only things standing
up): break threshold is a guy released or an anchor drawn under load, a leg taken at the foot, or the
stores beside it fired — EG_0225 arms D1_COLLAPSE and D2_IGNITE for both sides; break event is
the head swinging to the limit of the remaining guy, the frame leaning, and then the whole A-shape
going down onto the grass with its load; permanent subtraction is that frame's share of the hauling
and the ring's anchor points with it, and alteration_permanence_default = permanent means it stays
down; legibility gain is the largest in the encounter and needs no HUD — the yard's skyline drops
frame by frame and is countable from the approach; the material the economy wants is salvaged timber
and iron, which the kit already names.
of the yard down that the next man does not step up; break event is a man walking to the road head,
which is a whole-body legible act on open ground; permanent subtraction is the crew-call, the ring
and the tighter ring losing bodies until the calls are not answered; legibility gain is that the yard
stops behaving like a yard; nothing is harvested. It meets all three currencies and it is not a part
of anything, which is BE_0013_S2's eighth home confirmed on a second row.
only polished metal in a valley of granite and grass): break threshold is the crate reached; break
event is that he stops going back to it, which the kit's posture channel already names; permanent
subtraction is his account — the one shape he has that is not his crew's — and with it the encounter's
EXPOSE half completes; legibility gain is total; the material the economy wants is THE GOLD-TRADE
EVIDENCE that closes the Ch-8 loop, which is evidence rather than loot and cannot be sold.
ESCALATION on the four channels. The crew sub-case rules that the channels attach to the group's
collective behaviour; on a HEADED crew three of them do and one does not, which §9 files as a finding.
the wagon keeps loading, and the men who are not needed for the ring do not stop. In phase two the
work has stopped and the yard is only a fight. A player can name that change before any meter
confirms it, and the broker's own posture rides it — he stops standing under the frames and moves to
the crate.
spans. It thins as the frames go and then it does not resume, which is the kit's own channel.
REPEATED NAME. In phase one he calls stations, because there are enough men that stations are how you
address them; in phase two there are few enough to call by name, and he calls the same one twice. A
headless crew's version of this beat is men shouting past each other; a headed crew's is a man
discovering how few people are left, out loud. THE HARD CONSTRAINT: he never monologues at the player
and never explains the world; what he says is business, and the one authored exception is the shape
§7 rules below.
becomes the opener: the same call, fewer men, closer, and faster because it has less distance to
cover.
THE OPENER AND ITS VARIANTS: the root is THE CREW-CALL — free, harmless, and the whole adversary stated
once. The ring is the crew-call answered. The tighter ring is the crew-call with fewer men. The stopped
calling is the crew-call having nobody left to make.
RELOCATION AND TURF: HE ENTERS on ground he says he owns, already working, before the player arrives.
HE RELOCATES on the circuit §2 names — frame, beam, crate, wagon. HE LEAVES for the road head. What he
does to the arena is that he bought it, and the encounter is the yard coming down. AND THE ONE PLACE HE
NEVER GOES IS THE WALL — not in phase one, not in flight, not at the end. That is a positional fact the
player can verify from any point in the valley, and it is this sheet's proof that the encounter honours
the hard_blocked rows rather than merely promising to.
WIN: win_condition = REDUCE;EXPOSE, has_nonkill_path TRUE. The yard is finished and the buying-out
of the site with it; the ledger joins the evidence-journal; the Ch-8 gold-trade loop closes with the
documented Shona authorship credited, and ws.community_state_per_region and ws.journal_status are
written. LOSS: the crew-call ring is mapped and the ledger is glimpsed — enough that the
mis-attribution beat still resolves and the journal still credits the builders. The authorship payoff
never hangs on this fight. No fail-wall and no dead end.
routes only through a corrupt gold-trade broker or fauna, NEVER the Shona [CH_13 § Key sites L94;
§ Boss structure L103; § Protected-chapter combat framing L226]. HL_0003 protects the faithful
community and its living tradition from being the story antagonist, villain-framed, defamed or set up
for extermination, and routes the narrative antagonist through "complicit brokers, states, and
institutions, corrupted individuals" — which is this row's target_type word for word. HL_0123
rules lethal violence against human NPCs core gameplay, with maturity delivered as weight and
consequence and the only floors being genocide-as-goal and the banned-content classes. HL_0004
rules that a culturally protected space still delivers a real fight and is never left combat-absent,
and that the combat comes from antagonist intrusion or the tradition's own monsters rather than from
a manufactured raid. THIS ROW IS THAT DISCHARGE FOR great_zimbabwe, and the discharge's whole point
is that the node had already authorised him, so arming the beat costs the Shona nothing
[CH_13 L384-388].
an outside gold-trade broker on the Indian Ocean circuit the chapter is closing from Ch 8 — the same
circuit that made this city rich on its own terms, arriving centuries later as its liquidator. The
trade is not the villain; the trade is a Component-10-class achievement with its own merchant agency
[CH_13 § Civilizational marks L57]. He is a man on it.
THE DEVIL'S-ADVOCATE READING, TAKEN SERIOUSLY: colonial-era extraction co-opts local labour, always;
a yard on this plateau that contains no local man is a comfortable lie, and the standing law names
omission as the more costly error. THE COUNTER-ARGUMENT, AND IT IS DECISIVE: if the crew are drawn
from this chapter's protected communities then the player's blade lands on those communities in FACT
whatever the row says in prose, and the node's routing ruling is not a framing preference — it is the
thing HL_0003 protects. THE RULING: the yard crew are an OUTSIDE crew, carried with him on the
circuit, which the row already implies and which the arc's own precedents support
(BE_0008's coast circuit, BE_0009_S2's outside poaching crew). No member of this party is drawn
from the Shona or from any community this chapter protects. THE COMPENSATION IS NAMED RATHER THAN
ASSUMED, because the ruling is a reduction: the co-option question is not dropped from the chapter,
it is put where the player is ANSWERABLE for it — FORK_CH13_A at CH13_B08, the participate-or-subvert
embedding, which the spine deliberately sites near the apparatus for exactly this reason and which
the chapter's own decision block rules keeps the §5.5 mechanic live without casting a victim people
as perpetrators [CH_13 §10b L179-189; § Decisions surfaced L307]. The weight goes there. This is the
same move BE_0013_S1 § 7 made on the same question one beat earlier. AND THE RULING'S OWN RECORDED
GAP IS NOW CLOSED RATHER THAN LEFT STANDING: keeping the Shona out of the TARGET position was correct
and keeping them out of the FRAME was the omission error the standing law names as the more costly
one. The bullet below is the repair.
It is named here per the rulings-are-the-floor law, which binds a lane to state its beyond-floor
additions in the presentation rather than to slip them in. WHAT IT IS: a present, non-combatant,
NEVER-TARGETABLE Shona presence at the yard's landward edge — people of this valley with a stated
claim on the ground the ledger is being written over, standing in §5's declared volume outside the
arena volume and outside the fire edge, damageable by nothing on any path. WHAT CANON IT REALIZES:
CH13_B12's authorship credit and the mis-attribution beat's whole subject, which is that the builders
are documented and are credited [CH_13 §10 CH13_B12 L164-167; § Civilizational marks L56;
§ Anti-fringe / Frame-A flags L230]. WHY IT IS NOT A ROUTING CHANGE: the routing ruling is untouched
— combat still routes through the broker and never the Shona, the crew are still an outside crew, no
Shona figure is a combatant, a target, a hostage, an escort or a mechanic of any kind. THE
DEVIL'S-ADVOCATE READING, TAKEN SERIOUSLY AND IT IS THE STRONGER OBJECTION: putting a protected
community physically inside a combat frame is the exact geometry §17.1 warns about, and one stray
area effect or one propagated fire would be catastrophic in a way no prose can undo. THE ANSWER IS
THE SAME ENGINE BOUNDARY THE SHEET ALREADY DEMANDS, not a promise — the monument rows, the fire
volume and this standing volume are one check with three consumers, and §9 files it as one. THE
REASON IT IS WORTH THE RISK: a beat about a theft of AUTHORSHIP, staged in a valley emptied of the
people whose authorship it is, would have been the timid frame — it lets the erasure be about a wall
instead of about the living people the wall belongs to, and it leaves a player to infer that the
valley was already empty, which is the mis-attribution's own premise. The presence is the refutation,
and it costs the encounter nothing and the player nothing.
ledger shows what was paid, for what, and against which manifest — which is what closes the Ch-8
loop. It does NOT show a named signatory to the standing-room agreement, because the corpus holds no
Great Zimbabwe archaeology and no record of any land or trade transaction at this site
[south_africa.md § 7, § 16], and inventing a Shona signatory would be general knowledge dressed as
citation with a living people's name on it. The sheet neither invents a seller nor pretends the
ground sold itself; it authors the buyer's side, which is the side the game is fighting, and it
boards the acquisition (§9).
villain voicing the Phoenicians-and-Sheba mis-attribution risks the game appearing to entertain it,
and the anti-fringe flag is explicit that the claim is never entertained as fact [CH_13 L230, L233].
THE RULING: HE SAYS IT, at full weight, because the mis-attribution was a COMMERCIAL INSTRUMENT
before it was a scholarly error — a lie about who built a thing is what makes the ground under it
look purchasable — and hearing it in a buyer's mouth is the only way a player understands that. The
timid alternative is an antagonist who never says the thing the chapter is about, which would leave
the erasure abstract and unattributable, and abstraction is precisely what the beat exists to defeat.
THE SAFEGUARDS ARE STRUCTURAL AND ALREADY IN CANON: the adjacent beat CH13_B12 resolves the
mis-attribution as a documented theft of authorship and the journal credits the documented Shona
builders [CH_13 §10 CH13_B12 L164-167]; the row's own death_reward guarantees that credit lands
whether the player wins this fight or loses it; the game never states the claim in narration, in a
system surface, or in any voice but a buyer's; and the Frobenius-school hyperdiffusion frame the
region page refuses is refused here too [south_africa.md § 16]. The lie is a character's motive and
the truth is the chapter's record.
this shelf for this encounter — no one can own land, no ruler can conquer it into ownership, no rich
man can buy it, because land and money exclude one another in principle [south_africa.md § 4, § 8;
SRC_01899] — and the region page's own instruction is that the page "does not need to editorialize
about it." So no NPC delivers it, no journal entry lectures with it, and no player-facing string
paraphrases it. It is L2 investigatable substrate, and the encounter's design is what makes the point
instead: a man with a receipt, a yard with no foundation, and a wall that has stood for centuries
without one.
EG_0220 and EG_0221 are hard_blocked, verbless, enemy_usable FALSE and env_boss_verb_disabled TRUE with six hard-line
references each; the two monument rows are NOT reopened by this encounter and the addendum says so in
terms [CH_13 L384-388]. No phase, no verb, no hazard, no fire propagation and no stray blow reaches
the wall run or the Hill Complex approach, and CH13_B12's puzzle beat is untouched at every value of
this fight. §5 states it as a build-time boundary because it is exactly the class of rule a
propagation volume or a physics prop will violate silently.
page's build constraint binds absolutely: the protected sites are built as type-accurate referenced
composition and never as high-poly reproductions of actual protected cultural property
[south_africa.md § 17], and the Zimbabwe Bird soapstone is carried referenced-not-reproduced
[CH_13 § Asset anchors L249]. No plate in §8 surveys the real site, no crate in any frame opens on a
carved object, and every object visible on a wagon or in a crate in this set is plain building stone,
sawn timber, rope or a closed case.
defeat_protected FALSE. §17.1's protection iscollective and never individual, it makes no individual antagonist unkillable, and nothing about this
man is softened. has_nonkill_path TRUE is NOT a moral escape hatch and this sheet is explicit about
what it is: the win is measured on the YARD and the LEDGER rather than on a body, so a player who
drops the frames and takes the book while he runs for the road head has won on the encounter's own
terms — and a player who kills him has also won, and the game does not comment.
the kit's ability 6 lets them leave; the morale part is a subtraction that is taken by pressing them
rather than by killing them; and a player who kills the lot has not been punished and has not been
praised. What the design refuses is treating them as a resource: no crewman is spent for atmosphere,
no death of theirs is staged to establish him, and the man who looks at the gate is the encounter's
most useful tell precisely because he is a person deciding.
standard attended route. There is no folklore being, no condemned register and no sacred subject
among the adversaries here; the sacred subject is the MONUMENT and the protected party is the people
whose authorship the same leg credits, and both are protected by the firewall and the routing rather
than by softening anybody.
yard's edge, and that route is not a formality — they are members of a living community, they are
rendered as they understand themselves and self-named per the region page's naming discipline
[south_africa.md § 4, § 17], no sacred or ceremonial material is reproduced in any register
[south_africa.md § 5], and no plate or asset of them is raw-generated. NO MEMBER OF A LIVING
COMMUNITY IS A COMBATANT, A TARGET OR A SUBJECT OF THIS PARTY'S ACTION IN ANY FRAME, which is the
care decision and is now stated as a routing fact rather than as an absence. The pole's design law is
the route's hard rule and §8 carries
it: he must look like a competent merchant, and no plate in this set is briefed from a "colonial
villain," "looter," "plunderer" or "evil trader" prompt of any kind, because that prompt class is
where a generator's stereotype lives and it would defeat the pole at the first step.
(1) THE HEADED RULING IS AN ADDITION AND IS RECORDED AS ONE, WITH ITS RISK. Giving a memorable face to
the antagonist standing near a protected monument is the riskier of the two options, and the clause
exists because that risk is real. The pass rules the addition CORRECT on the clause's own criterion —
a ~250 m coursed wall is the clause's own named class of undisplaceable subject — and names the
compensation as a set of checkable framing rules rather than an intention (§4, §6 turf, §8).
(2) HE SAYS THE MIS-ATTRIBUTION (above). Ruled KEEP, with the safeguards named and already in canon.
(3) THE ENCOUNTER WAS NOT MADE A NEGOTIATION OR AN EVICTION. Considered and REFUSED. A "buy him out,
out-bid him, or bring the authorities" framing would be the timid option wearing a design rationale,
and HL_0004's discharge asks for a named boss phase with its verb — which is STRIKE and EXPOSE, on
open ground, against twelve men and four frames. The exposure half is not a substitute for the fight;
the row carries both.
(4) THE OUTSIDE-CREW RULING IS A REDUCTION AND IS RECORDED AS ONE (above), with the compensation
named and sited at FORK_CH13_A rather than merely asserted.
(5) THE EMPTY VALLEY WAS REFUSED. The first pass kept the Shona out of the target position and, by
doing so, kept them out of the frame — which read as safe and was not. Considered and REFUSED as the
timid option, on the standing law's own terms that erring toward omission is the more costly error:
the beyond-floor addition above puts the people whose valley this is IN the frame, permanently and
untouchably, while the routing ruling stays exactly where it was. What was NOT done, and is recorded
so a later lane does not read the omission as an opening: they were not given a fight, a rescue, a
quest hook, a cheer, a scream, or a mechanic, because every one of those would spend them.
roles, the guys in shallow soil over granite and the drawing-peg tell, the wagon road as the
scoreboard, the circuit gait, the yard's unfounded geometry, the one-repeated-name vocal channel, and
every tell shape in §6 are INVENTED BY THIS SHEET and are the game's own. The node's authorisation of
him, the beat and its no-foot-on-the-monument rule, the zone's three measured surfaces, the
gold-and-ivory trade and the Ch-8 loop, the documented Shona authorship and the mis-attribution's
status, the dry-stone engineering reading, the Rozvi land doctrine, the 1652-1910 window's paperwork
texture, the three counters, and the win and death rewards are CITED. No claim about what any
tradition holds rests on an invention, and the region's own political philosophy is carried as its
source states it rather than as a line of dialogue.
reference or a pattern token. threads = T03;T13 and the T03 half is L3 and dark — the beat's own
reveal note says Thread 3 stays L3 and no pattern is player-facing [CH_13 §10 CH13_B15 L345;
HL_0043]. The display name is "the man who bought the valley," which describes what he did. NO
LETTERHEAD, CREST, HOUSE NAME OR INSTITUTION MARK APPEARS ON THE LEDGER, THE CRATES, THE WAGONS OR
ANY DOCUMENT THE PLAYER CAN READ, and the ground for that withholding is the one BE_0013_S6 § 7
ruled rather than a new one: what is withheld is the OWNER and what is kept is the DRESS, the
withholding is a DEFERRAL bound to the T03 reveal schedule rather than a removal, and the surface
where the commissioner becomes sayable is the reveal's own and not this sheet's. A player looking at
PLATE A knows exactly what era, what kind of operation and what kind of authority they are looking
at; what they cannot do is name whose.
Every subject line below states what IS in frame, and the route note's hard rules are written the same
way — as the frame's own content — because the art graph zeroes its negative conditioning and a rule
phrased as an exclusion feeds the model the noun it meant to keep out.

valley's community anywhere in the set. THE HARD RULES ON THIS SET, WRITTEN AS THE FRAME'S OWN
CONTENT: every plate's subject is a commercial or working one except PLATE I, whose subject is the
people whose valley it is; in every plate that contains both, the standing wall is a distant
horizontal at the frame's edge and the yard is the subject, and in PLATE H the wall is the sole
subject and the valley in front of it is empty; the monument stands whole and at rest in every frame
it appears in; every member of the yard party in frame is an ordinary working man on a schedule, and
the man in the linen coat could be mistaken in PLATE A for the merchant he is; every figure in PLATE
I is a person at rest on their own ground, self-possessed and at their own distance from the yard,
and PLATE I is briefed from the region's own record with no ceremonial, ritual or performance content
in frame; every written surface in frame is a plain ruled register in an ordinary commercial hand;
every object visible in a crate, on a wagon or on the ground in this set is plain building stone,
sawn timber, rope, straw or a closed case; the plates are lit by open daylight on a plateau and by

because the encounter's whole argument is the comparison between those frames and the yard.
clause was ruled from BE_0008_S2 and BE_0009_S2, tested HEADLESS at BE_0013_S6 and HEADED here,
four beats apart, by the same lane, on the same criterion, with no adjustment to the criterion in
either direction. What the pair proves is that the test is decidable from the SUBJECT rather than
from taste: a stratum a player must be taught to see is displaceable and a ~250 m standing wall is
not. What the pair ADDS, and it is the doctrine edit: the register says the four escalation channels
attach to the group's collective behaviour, and on a HEADED crew only three of them do — POSTURE,
BREATH and the OPENER stay with the group, and VOCALIZATION moves onto the man, because he is the one
calling. That is checkable and it changed this encounter's best beat. The doctrine lane owns the edit.
BE_0013_S2 § 9 raised "the enforcers' willingness"; this row carries "the crew's wage," in the same
chapter, on a different kind of crew, with the same three currencies met and the same absence of a
silhouette fraction. Two rows, one meaning, and §2.4's seven homes still cannot express it. The
distinction between the two instances is worth carrying into the edit: one is a line that stops
re-forming and one is individual men leaving, and both are a subtraction the player takes by pressure
rather than by damage.
third row in this chapter to decline to pick one after BE_0013_S6 (two) and BE_0013 (three).
§2.4 should say a sheet may declare more than one and must declare all of them. This row adds one
sharper observation: ARCHITECTURE and MACHINERY are not cleanly separable when the architecture is a
LIFTING STRUCTURE. EG_0225 is typed feature_category = structural and its members carry real
load with a real failure mode, which is the MACHINERY home's own definition. The homes are a
spectrum at that end, not a partition.
ACCOUNT IN THIS CHAPTER. BE_0013 carries a private record that annuls the account its holder gives
out loud; this row carries a receipt that the ground's own attested jurisprudence says cannot exist.
§3A.1's fourth pole is turning out to be a family whose members are distinguished by WHAT THE ACCOUNT
IS WRITTEN ON, and the design consequence is the same in both cases: the encounter's EXPOSE half is a
reading rather than a speech. The doctrine lane owns whether that becomes a clause.
NAMING ONCE. BE_0013_S3's mark is a straight cut on a wall with none and BE_0013_S6's is sawn
crates on a coast with none; the extraction register's signature is genuinely "the only milled
straight edge in frame," and it is correct both times. A9 rules ONE mark per creature but says
nothing about one lane using one MECHANISM on every creature in a chapter, which is how a strong axis
becomes a tic. This row chose MOTION instead. The doctrine could usefully say that a mark's mechanism
is a per-chapter budget as well as a per-creature one.
ontology_class AND combat_permission EMPTY on this row, with target_type = corrupted_individual doing the work — the same gap BE_0009 § 9 recorded for the human register, now on a sub-boss.
hitzone_parts EMPTY on a row whose parts are a STRUCTURE, a MORALE STATE and two OBJECTS.phase_voice_array EMPTY on a row whose phase voice is a documented channel change — crew-callsbecoming one repeated name — with a hard design constraint attached (never a monologue, never
addressed to the player) and one authored exception (the account made out loud, which is the pole's
required beat). All three belong on the row where a voice lane will read them.
pip_count AND pip_reveal_threshold EMPTY on a has_nonkill_path TRUE row whose non-kill win is achain of frame-drops plus a ledger — the ruled puzzle-boss template's natural shape. Whether the four
frames are the pips is a registry judgement and it is not this lane's to make.
mesh_tags.morphology IS POPULATED on this row (bipedal) and §2 is what makes the value checkable— for thirteen human bodies with zero anatomical elevation AND for a structure that is the actual
subject of the fight. That is BE_0013_S6's finding arriving a second time: a morphology column
taking one value per row cannot express a row whose readable body is an assembly and whose people are
deliberately ordinary.
BE_0009_S1), a drive belt (BE_0013_S1), a hide whip (BE_0013_S2), a fall on wet rock (BE_0013_S6) and this
row's fall-and-guys are one physics requirement, and five authored encounters across two chapters now
depend on it with nothing in the wave list owning it. This row adds the case where a released member
takes its ANCHOR with it.
great_zimbabwe's whole environment-grammar set is EG_0220, EG_0221, EG_0222 and EG_0225 — two
monument rows, a sign, and the broker's yard. There is nothing for the approach: no savanna grass, no
scrub, no tree line, no concealment class, on a 500 x 400 arena whose defining property is that there
is almost no cover in it. That absence is load-bearing rather than cosmetic, because "no cover" is a
design claim the arena layer cannot currently express and a later pass could silently fill with
anything. The registry lane owns the row; this sheet authors the approach as open savanna at arena
grain and reaches for nothing outside the zone.
KIT_BE_0013_S5 CARRIES TWO ARENA ROWS THAT ARE NOT IN THIS ZONE, AND THE KIT LANE OWNS BOTH EDITS. Its arena block lists EG_0223 Fynbos Shrubland Transit Band and Buchu Slope as "the approach, and
it burns" (L79) and EG_0212 Quay, Warehouse Frontage and the Colonial Register Room as arena (L78).
EG_0223's own canonical_authority anchors it to cape_colony_port and the fynbos coast, roughly
1,600 km south of this valley, and this ground is Zambezi-interior granite and savanna
[south_africa.md § 1, § Zone Catalog L95]; EG_0212 is the Cape quay and register room. NO ABILITY
IN THE KIT NEEDS TO CHANGE — ability 10's fired stack is carried entirely by EG_0225's own
fuel:flammable, and the ledger's Cape half is a lore-and-evidence link rather than a surface the
fight stands on. The fix is the arena block: drop EG_0223, and re-label EG_0212 as the
cross-zone evidence link it is. This sheet does not make either edit and does not inherit either row.
functions CELL CARRIES NO COMBAT WHILE THIS ROW IS A ROWED COMBAT ENCOUNTER ON IT. great_zimbabwe is typed functions [puzzle, learning] on the spine's site row and copied verbatim
into the region page's Zone Catalog [CH_13 § Key sites L93; south_africa.md L95], and it was correct
when the leg's only content there was CH13_B12. CH13_B15 is now a rowed encounter with a
T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry id, an EG_ arena row and a beat, so the cell should gain combat — and
a lane resolving a beat's site cell to its functions list currently reads a zone that says no fight
happens here. This is the same class of surface-versus-scope contradiction the blombos_cave site-row
amendment fixed by stating the reconciliation where the contradiction is read [CH_13 L403-435]. The
spine's site pass and the region page's Zone Catalog own the two cells; this lane owns neither.
EG_0225 is D2_IGNITE-armed with fuel:flammable and fire:enhance, standing on dry valley grass, 400 metres
from two hard_blocked rows carrying six hard-line references each. "The fire never reaches the wall"
is exactly the class of rule a propagation system violates silently, and it is the same requirement
BE_0013_S3 and BE_0013_S6 filed for a protected panel and a protected deposit. Three rows, one
requirement, and it should be a build-time check. THIS ROW ADDS A THIRD CONSUMER INSIDE ITSELF and it
is the one with the highest cost of failure: the standing volume in §5 and §6 holds NON-TARGETABLE
MEMBERS OF A LIVING COMMUNITY, and "no area effect, no propagated fire and no collapsing frame reaches
them" is precisely the rule an engine breaks quietly. The monument rows, the fire edge and the
standing volume are ONE boundary check with three consumers on one row, and it is the highest-value
single engine request either Ch-13 human-register sheet makes.
architectural or excavation record of the site the chapter builds this encounter beside
[south_africa.md § 7, § 16]. The encounter is buildable now on the zone's three measured surfaces and
this sheet's declared yard. What the acquisition would change is PLATE H and the arena's horizon
read, and nothing in §6 or §7 moves. The same brief's Cape slavery and Bo-Kaap history and its
Sesana materials are not this row's consumers and are not re-filed here.
surfaces: the region page's Zone Catalog environment_grammar_refs cell for great_zimbabwe should
gain EG_0225 and does not yet [CH_13 § residue L396-401], and the region page's generated boss index
lists only BE_0013 and S1, S2 and S3 while S4, S5 and S6 are rowed [BE_0013_S6 § 9]. Neither is this
lane's to write.
T0_Boss_Attack_Rail CARRIES 0 ROWS, so this row's twelve kit abilities and this sheet's ten tellshapes have no rail row to land on and no gate to check the one-answer property against.
