If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the

STATUS: PROPOSAL-TIER design sheet. It is the HUMAN REGISTER (doctrine §3A) on the chapter's one
first-class oppressor-combat layer, and it is the register's first WAGE-TIER subject — a man who
chose this for money rather than for a creed, which the register's four poles do not distinguish and
§9 boards. It lands one conflict against a sibling proposal-tier document (KIT_BE_0013_S2's ability-9
note, §9). It cites canon rows and writes none.

register's rule binds at full strength — a distorted human body is the horror-monster road, and on
this floor it would additionally hand a real historical labor system a monster to hide behind.
them (AUTHORIAL_HUMAN_CRAFT — the motions below are this sheet's, declared in §7, because the corpus
carries no Witwatersrand compound working practice [south_africa.md § 16]):
PAST the shoulder line — which is further back than any guard position needs and is exactly why
the row's own counter is a parry or distance. The recovery is slower than the wind, and that
asymmetry is the encounter's single most important frame of information.
It is the one motion he has that is not the whip, and the kit spends it once in phase two.
stance change on approach. He has never had to fight anyone who could fight back.
is the tell before any attack is: HE IS THE ONLY PERSON ON THIS FLOOR WHO IS NOT MOVING.
around anyone, and the floor's traffic is what makes that legible from the far end of the room.
open furnace door, with a floor of moving bodies behind him. The kit's own read is "a man with a
sjambok standing where the light from the furnace door falls," and this sheet adds the two facts
that make it read at distance — HE IS STILL AND HE IS CLEAN.
he carries no attested figure, and no living tradition owns him. What he has is an OFFICE, and the
region page authors that office directly.
archetype for him reads — "The chapter's human-oppressor layer, and the reason the ruling separates
him from the workers he drives. He is a person with a job, a wage and a choice, and the game holds
him to it" [south_africa.md § 12 — page authority, no SRC on this shelf]. Three nouns, and §4 builds
each one: the JOB is his craft, the WAGE is his state, the CHOICE is his pole.
the baton rush, countered by parry, distance, stagger-break and dodge" [south_africa.md § 6 — page
authority, consuming T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0013]. The row carries the same two counters
verbatim, and this sheet adds no third weapon.
"is not warfare between peoples but pressure applied by an apparatus," and the combat framing is
fixed by ruling — the machinery, the overseer and labor-enforcer, the permitted fauna, the
materialized rock-art echo and a fictional gold-trade broker are the only combat routes, and the
/Xam, ǂKhomani, Gǀwi, Griqua, amaZulu, Shona and freed-slave communities are inviolate
[south_africa.md § 6; HL_0003; CH_13 § Protected-chapter combat framing L226].
the pressed labor," and the spine's beat says the same in the player's terms — read and turn the
whip-and-baton rhythm to break the enforcer line and free the pressed labor, with combat routing
through the enforcer and never the workers he drives [CH_13 §10 CH13_B09 L149-152].
who writes down in a clean hand exactly what he is doing and does it again tomorrow, and his
three-register voice — Cape Dutch and Afrikaans at home, colonial administrative English on the page,
broken command-Zulu on the floor — belongs to HIM and not to this row [south_africa.md § 12;
BOSS_PERSONAS § BE_0013]. The overseer is not a small Steenberg. Steenberg has a theory; this man has
a shift.
texture is paperwork: registers, contracts, manumission records and dictation notebooks"
[south_africa.md § 18 — page authority]. The compound gate, the labor line and the contract are that
texture in physical form, and EG_0217 is where they stand.
the word SJAMBOK is not this sheet's coinage and is not minted from general knowledge — it is the
canon row's own display_name, supplied by a T0 registry, which is the region page's own permitted
route for a term ("the glossary carries only terms ratified canon supplies or a cited source
attests") [south_africa.md § 17]. No period exonym for any people appears anywhere in this sheet or
in any string it proposes, per the same section.
practice of the Witwatersrand" is a deep-research target rather than a held source
[south_africa.md § 16], and the page separately records that its shelf holds no military history at
all [south_africa.md § 6]. This sheet therefore authors no compound regulation, no pass-law
procedure, no wage figure, no real company and no real overseer.
whip's wind-past-the-shoulder as the parry frame, the borrowed-tempo read, the coil at the hip as the
silhouette mark, the five tell shapes, and his one line of dialogue register in §6.
ONE-LINE SILHOUETTE READ: the only man on the floor standing still, with a coil at his hip and the
furnace behind him, cracking a whip at nobody on somebody else's beat.
THE HUMAN REGISTER, AND THE ELEVATION BUDGET IS ZERO ON ANATOMY. Nothing about this body is enlarged,
distorted, scarred or made to look like what he does. Equipment, craft and state carry the whole read,
which is the register's own law and is also the only handling that keeps §7 honest.
THE POLE, NAMED: CORRUPTED-AND-KNOWING, at a tier below the one the register was written for. The
register's third pole is a man who knows exactly what he serves and chose it, and nothing was taken
from him — that is this man, with one difference the doctrine does not yet carry: BE_0008's pole
chose a creed and this man chose a WAGE. He has no account of himself and does not want one, and if the
company folded tomorrow he would take a different job and be adequate at it. The region page's three
nouns are the ruler and they refuse both easy readings: he is not deceived, so the deceived pole is
wrong, and he has no coherent self-justification, so the self-justifying pole is wrong too. §9 boards
the wage tier as a doctrine finding rather than forcing this row into a pole that would flatter it.
PRIMARY — A9 THE MARK, AND IT IS THE ROW'S OWN DISPLAY NAME: THE SJAMBOK. One high-contrast,
instantly-readable identifying feature and one only — a long tapering hide whip carried COILED AT THE
HIP, which is the single curved shape on a body of straight lines, on a floor of straight lines, in a
building made of nothing but straight lines. MECHANISM: silhouette contrast against an environment
with no curves in it. It identifies him from the far end of a 180 x 120 labor floor
[south_africa.md § Zone Catalog L94], in furnace light, at any weather and any distance, with no HUD,
and it is the first thing a player learns to find. The doctrine's rule is that one is the number, and
this sheet carries exactly one.
SUPPORTING — A5 STATE, AND THE STATE IS AN ABSENCE: HE IS CLEAN. Every person on a stamp floor is
coated in pale rock dust within an hour, and he is not, because he does not touch the work. Cuffs,
collar, boots, the backs of his hands. MECHANISM: occupational deposition, and its absence where the
occupation is universal. This is the whole labor system stated in one image, it costs no anatomy, and
it is the same design law BE_0009's pole established — the elevation lands on the ABSENCE of an
occupational mark rather than the presence of a sinister one. A player feels it before they can name
it, and no line of dialogue is needed to explain it.
SUPPORTING — A4 HYPERTROPHY AND ATROPHY, APPLIED AS CRAFT. The hypertrophy is the whip shoulder and the
forearm that serves it: a real, trained, single-motion development from years of one repeated action,
visible in carriage even under a coat, and it is the only athletic thing about him. THE ATROPHY HALF IS
THE ENCOUNTER'S GIFT TO THE PLAYER: he has no guard, no footwork and no stance, because the whip is a
weapon for use on people who are not allowed to answer. MECHANISM: single-motion occupational training
with nothing else trained. Put him in front of the Ch-7 kalari enforcer and he lasts seconds; put him
in front of a line of people who cannot leave and he is the most dangerous thing in the building.
SUPPORTING — A10 NEGATIVE SPACE, AND THE ABSENT THING IS HIS OWN TEMPO. He has no rhythm that is his.
His opener is a whip-crack at nobody that lands ON THE BATTERY'S BEAT, and every exchange he makes in
phase two arrives on the stamp. MECHANISM: a borrowed periodic tempo where a personal one should be —
a gait with somebody else's beat in it. It is the encounter's answer as well as its unease: the player
who has been listening to the floor already knows when he will move, and the design's cruelty is that
the machine is telling on him the whole time and he cannot hear it because he has been standing here
for years.
MECHANISM ROLL-UP: A9 is a curve in a room of straight lines; A5 is the absence of an occupational
deposit; A4 is one trained motion and nothing else trained; A10 is a borrowed tempo. EMISSION: NONE
FROM HIM. The furnace door behind him is combustion with visible fuel, a colour that tracks
temperature and ash that cools to dark — the light law's first emitting family, used as a LIGHT HE
STANDS IN FRONT OF rather than as anything he produces. He reads by being back-lit and by occlusion,
which is the kit's own staging and is why the encounter is scheduled where it is.
block is therefore about what the ANIMATION and SIMULATION lanes owe, which is where a human-register
sheet's build cost actually lives.
whip is a tapered chain of segments with mass, driven from one end, and its whole legibility is that
the tip travels faster than the hand and arrives after it. Attachment: the hand. Travel: one span,
unbounded direction, tension its only state. This is the same first-class dynamic member
BE_0009_S1 specified for a running cable and BE_0013_S1 specifies for a drive belt, in a third
body — and §9 files the three as one dependency rather than three requests.
FELT: the arm goes back past the shoulder line, the coil leaves the hip, and the whole body commits
behind it. The doctrine's distance test applies here and this sheet states the pass condition
explicitly — black-filled at the shipped combat camera, the wind pose must be distinguishable from
the standing pose by the arm's silhouette alone, without the whip being visible at all.
input" destroys the identification in §2. What is owed is a standing state with weight settled and
micro-motion in the hands only, held against a floor where every other body is in continuous labour
— and the contrast is the read.
rather than a standing one. The player must be able to tell an enforcer from the overseer and both
from a worker in ONE FRAME at distance, because §6 gives all three different answers and one of the
three is not a target at all.
work, move around the fight, get out of the way of the machine rather than of the player, and — at
the encounter's end — STOP. That last state change is the win and it is an animation deliverable, not
a cutscene: the floor decides, visibly, in the room, while the player is standing in it.
EG_0206 is hard_blocked with ten hard-line refs and attack_verbs = none; nothing here reaches it.
VERBS ARE STRIKE AND PARRY, axis 45/25/30, Patterns-forward. The row's counters, verbatim: the
whip-call answered by a parry or by distance; the baton rush answered by a stagger-break or a
dodge-roll. Two phases, evolve-not-swap — the row's clause is that phase two TIGHTENS HIS TELEGRAPH
WINDOWS ON THE MACHINE TIMINGS and adds nothing. This sheet does not restate the kit's twelve
abilities; it supplies the body those abilities originate in.
THE ENCOUNTER'S STRUCTURAL IDEA: THE FLOOR IS FULL OF PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT FIGHTING, AND THAT IS THE
DESIGN RATHER THAN THE COMPLICATION. He uses them as terrain — he stands behind the line, he calls
across it, he moves where they have to move for him — and the encounter's answer is to stop that. The
player's win is not a body on the floor; it is a floor that will no longer make room for him.
PART ECONOMY HOME, DECLARED BY NAME per doctrine §2.4: EQUIPMENT, plus one entry that is neither
equipment nor body and is recorded honestly as a boarded finding (§9) — the enforcers' willingness,
which is the kit's own second part and is a MORALE state rather than an object.
| tell shape | body origin | one answer | counter class |
|---|---|---|---|
| the call — a whip-crack in the air, at nobody, landing on the stamp | the arm and wrist, a short flick with no target and no commitment | nothing, and that is the lesson. It is free, and it tells the player that this man's timing is not his own — which is the answer to everything he does afterwards | none — the opener |
| the whip-call — the arm goes back PAST the shoulder line and the coil leaves the hip | full shoulder circumduction with the elbow trailing, the whole body committed behind it | PARRY OR DISTANCE — the row's own counter. The wind is longer than the recovery, and the player who reads the shoulder rather than the whip is never late | parry-only |
| the baton rush — an enforcer RAISES the baton instead of levelling it | a different man, closing, with a different weapon and a different commitment | STAGGER-BREAK OR DODGE-ROLL — the row's own second counter, and the point of the raise-versus-level distinction is that it is legible in black fill at any distance | dodge-only |
| the standing-in-the-light — he sets himself where the open furnace door is behind him | no attack at all; a position taken, and the only tactical decision he ever makes | MOVE. He fights where he cannot be seen clearly, which is the one competent thing about him | positional / cover |
| the wrap — the same wind, but the WRIST IS COCKED at the top of it and the arc curves at its end around a raised guard | the same shoulder chain with the hand turned over, so the lash finishes past the guard instead of on it | COVER — a parry is what this shape is FOR, and taking it is how the player learns that the answer is not always the last answer | cover |
| the tightened call — the arm goes back and the crack is already there, arriving ON THE STAMP rather than after his own wind | the same whip on a shorter wind, keyed to the battery's period instead of to his arm | DODGE. This is the one shape where the arm is not the tell at all — THE TEMPO IS — and the player who is counting the machine is early while the player who is watching the shoulder is late | dodge-only |
| the close — his off hand comes forward and he steps IN instead of extending | the grip, not the whip; the untrained motion, used because the trained one has failed | INTERRUPT IT. This is the only moment he is inside his own weapon's range, and it is the encounter's confession that he has one idea | interrupt-only |
ONE SHAPE, ONE ANSWER, AND THE SHOULDER LINE IS DISAMBIGUATED RATHER THAN OVERLOADED. Three of his
shapes begin with the same wind, so the wind alone cannot be the read, and the sheet states the
discriminator for each rather than leaving one silhouette carrying three answers. THE WHIP-CALL is the
wind with a level wrist and the body square: PARRY OR DISTANCE. THE WRAP is the wind with the WRIST
COCKED at the top and a step off the player's line, because the lash is going to finish past a guard
rather than on it: COVER, and a parry is exactly what it punishes. THE TIGHTENED CALL is the wind
SHORTENED AND RE-KEYED — its arrival is set by the battery's period rather than by his arm, which is
the borrowed tempo this sheet's A10 axis names — so the tell is the MACHINE and not the man: DODGE.
Wrist, then tempo, then arm, in that order of priority, and all three are legible in black fill at
combat distance.
THE CALL AND THE WHIP-CALL share a weapon and are distinguished by WHERE THE ARM GOES — a flick at the
wrist, or a wind past the shoulder — and the encounter teaches that distinction for free in its opening
seconds because the opener costs nothing. The baton rush belongs to a DIFFERENT BODY and is
deliberately given a different answer, so that the encounter's first lesson is telling two kinds of
enemy apart on a crowded floor. The RAISE-VERSUS-LEVEL read is the deliberate cross-encounter lesson
and it is the one the arc's later garrison and enforcement encounters reuse.
THE MACHINE'S BEAT IS THE PATTERN ANSWER, AND THIS SHEET FIXES ITS TEACHING ORDER AGAINST CANON. His
phase-two exchanges arrive on the stamp, and the answer is to move on the machine rather than on him.
The kit's note attributes that learning to BE_0013_S1; the spine's own beat order and state chain put
CH13_B09 BEFORE CH13_B10, so at this encounter the player has not fought the machine yet
[CH_13 §10 L148-157]. CANON WINS AND THE TEACHING ORDER IS BETTER FOR IT: the beat is TAUGHT here, free
and ambient, by a floor that has been audible since the player walked in and by an opener that lands on
it deliberately, and it is TESTED one beat later at BE_0013_S1 and spent a third time at
BE_0013.P3, which is exactly the cheap-lesson-first order the kit doctrine asks for. §9 records the
kit's note as the defect.
BREAKABLE PARTS, with silhouette fractions honestly stated — a man in clothes on an open floor has
almost no part economy, and this sheet reports that rather than inflating it:
full extension — it is small at rest and enormous in use, which is exactly why it is the mark): break
threshold is the lash cut or the wrist taken on the recovery; break event is the coil going and not
coming back; permanent subtraction is the whip-call, the tightened call and the wrap all leaving the
moveset; legibility gain is the one the kit names and it is the encounter's turn — HE HAS TO CLOSE,
which puts him among the people he has been calling at; nothing is harvested, and the sheet is
explicit that the whip is not a player weapon at any point, for the reason in §7.
threshold is enough of the line broken that the next man does not step up; break event is a man
stepping BACK, which is a whole-body legible act; permanent subtraction is the enforcer line and the
baton rush thinning; legibility gain is that the line stops re-forming, visible from anywhere on the
floor; nothing is harvested. It behaves exactly like a part in all three currencies and it is not a
part of anything, which §9 boards.
ESCALATION on the four channels, obeying the tighten-don't-add clause:
elevated and separate; in phase two he is in the same space as everyone else, which is both an
escalation and the beginning of his problem.
takes a while. The design instruction is that his breath never becomes panic; it becomes EFFORT, and
the difference is the whole character.
change a player can name before any meter confirms it, and it is the single clearest statement that
the floor is no longer his. THE HARD CONSTRAINT ON THIS CHANNEL: he never monologues, never explains
himself, and never addresses the player at all. What he says is work.
arm making the same motion with the commitment it was previously hiding.
THE OPENER AND ITS VARIANTS: the root is THE CALL. The whip-call is the call committed. The tightened
call is the call with the parry window removed. The wrap is the call curved around a raised guard. The
close is the call having failed.
RELOCATION AND TURF: he enters on his own floor and never leaves it under his own decision. He
relocates toward the furnace light. He LEAVES when the floor stops making room for him — which is the
row's win condition expressed as a movement, and it is the only exit he has.
WIN: win_condition = REDUCE. The enforcer line broken and the pressed labor freed. The kit's last
ability is the floor deciding, and this sheet's insistence is that the player MAKES THE ROOM and the
people in it MAKE THE DECISION — the win is not a rescue and the workers are not cargo. LOSS: the row
rules his cadence mapped for the retry, and the design asks the build for one thing on that branch —
the floor is still there, still working, and the player has to walk back through it. No fail-wall.
§17.1's protection is COLLECTIVE: it protects the /Xam, the ǂKhomani, the Gǀwi, the Griqua and
Khoekhoe, the amaZulu, the Shona and the Cape freed-slave community from being cast as villain,
defamed or made the target — and this chapter's own framing places every one of them on the VICTIM
side of the extraction [CH_13 § Protected-chapter combat framing L226; § Decisions surfaced L307].
The routing that keeps that true is the row's own: the target is the enforcer and the apparatus above
him, never the workers he drives, and the win frees them.
individual; it makes no individual antagonist unkillable, and lethal violence against human
antagonists is core to this game's rating and its genre. Nothing about this encounter is defanged,
the win_condition = REDUCE is a combat win rather than a moral escape hatch, and the row carries no
non-kill path to hide behind.
THIS SHEET DOES NOT ASSIGN HIM TO ANY PEOPLE. He is drawn as the company's man and his identity is
the job — which is what the row types him as and what the region page's role archetype calls him.
The reasoning is recorded rather than assumed, in both directions. Assigning him to one of the
chapter's seven protected communities would route the chapter's human antagonist through a protected
community, which is precisely the collective harm the framing exists to prevent. Assigning him to a
specific real settler group would be inventing history: the corpus holds no Witwatersrand compound
working practice at all [south_africa.md § 16], so any such assignment would be general knowledge
dressed as a citation. WHAT THIS IS NOT is a refusal to show the system — the system is shown in
full, in the compound gate, the line, the whip and the wage.
never scenery, never collateral, never a resource, and never a hazard the player must route around
like furniture. No player ability harms them, no failure state kills them, and the win is theirs to
take. The design's hardest instruction is the one it holds to: the floor turns because they turn it.
documented shape of this system and the chapter stages them with period weight, per the region page's
represent-with-care posture — care means weight and not omission, and the colonial and apartheid
history is presented as the documented record holds it [south_africa.md § 4].
on the standard attended route. There is no folklore being, no condemned register and no sacred
subject among the adversaries in this beat; the elevated-care parties are the pressed workers and the
communities they belong to, and they are protected by the routing and by the chapter's framing rather
than by any tier placed on him.
raw-generated with negative prompts as the control. The design bar is the same one the Ch-7 sheet
set and it is stated as a hard rule in §8: he must look ORDINARY. Any drift toward a sinister-looking
villain would weaken the encounter and would quietly tell the player that this only happens when
someone looks like this.
(1) THE WHIP IS NOT A PLAYER PICKUP. Considered and REFUSED. The devil's-advocate reading is real —
taking an oppressor's weapon and using it on him is a satisfying, genre-standard beat, and refusing
it looks like squeamishness. The refusal is on design grounds that survive the anti-timid test: this
weapon's entire meaning is that it is used on people who are not allowed to answer, and putting it in
the player's hand on THIS floor, in front of THESE people, converts the chapter's clearest image into
a loot drop. The boldness is spent elsewhere and the sheet says where — on his death, which is
available, uncomplicated and unpunished.
(2) THE ENCOUNTER WAS NOT MADE A STEALTH OR RESCUE MISSION. Considered and REFUSED. A "free the
workers without being seen" framing would have been the timid option wearing a design rationale, and
the spine already rules this the chapter's first-class oppressor-combat layer [CH_13 §10 CH13_B09
L152]. It is a fight, on an open floor, in the light.
(3) HIS ORDINARINESS WAS CHECKED FOR DEFANGING. A banal antagonist can read as an excused one. The
pass rules it the opposite: the region page's own three nouns hold him to the choice, the encounter
never lets him explain himself, and a man who is neither deceived nor grand is the harder read and the
truer one. What was refused here is the sadist — not because a sadist is too dark, but because a
sadist would let the player believe the system needs one.
frame, the raise-versus-level enforcer distinction, the borrowed-tempo read, the coil-at-the-hip mark,
the five tell shapes and the vocal-channel constraint are INVENTED BY THIS SHEET and are the game's
own. The office and its three nouns, the whip-call and baton-rush kit with its four counters, the
routing ruling, the win that frees the pressed labor, the 1652-1910 window and its paperwork texture,
and the display name are CITED. The Witwatersrand compound's real working practice is NEITHER cited
nor claimed and is a boarded acquisition (§9).
reference or a pattern token. threads = T03 is L3 and dark — the player sees a mine, an overseer and
a company, and never a family behind them [CH_13 § Boss structure L104; § Three-layer surfacing L239].
His display name is "the sjambok," which is an object. He never names his employer's owner because he
does not know it.

furnace door behind him. The composition's subject is the stillness.

workers'.

the population the encounter is fought over, drawn as people with a working day.
standing still and facing the same way, the furnace behind them, the whip nowhere in frame. The win
state, at the same fidelity as the hero read.
them are members of living communities. THE HARD RULES ON THIS SET: no plate depicts a whip in
contact with a person, or a person being struck, restrained or injured; no plate stages a worker as
the subject of the overseer's action; no plate gives him a sinister feature, a scar, a deformity or
horror-styled lighting — he must be able to stand in PLATE A and be mistaken for a clerk; no plate
carries a company name, crest or flag; and PLATE G is mandatory, because the encounter's whole
argument is the comparison between the two frames.
§3A.1's third pole is a man who knows what he serves and CHOSE it — which fits — but its worked
instance chose a creed, and this man chose a wage. The distinction is not cosmetic: it changes the
vocal channel (he never explains himself), the escalation (his calls turn to his own men rather than
to a cause), and the win (he leaves rather than breaks). The register should either name a wage
sub-tier under the knowing pole or state that the pole is agnostic to the reason. The doctrine lane
owns the edit.
KIT_BE_0013_S2 AND CANON DISAGREE ON THE TEACHING ORDER, AND THE KIT CARRIES THE DEFECT. The kit's ability-9 note says the machine's rhythm is "learned in BE_0013_S1"; the spine's beat graph and
state chain put CH13_B09 before CH13_B10, so the player meets this encounter first
[CH_13 §10 L148-157]. No ability in the kit needs to change — the fix is one note, from LEARNED to
TAUGHT HERE AND TESTED THERE — and the corrected order is the better teaching order. THE KIT LANE
OWNS THE EDIT; this sheet does not make it.
mesh_tags.morphology EMPTY on this row, and §2 is what fills it. The census that ordered this legmeasured that no canon surface for this id names a body; the region page names the OFFICE and the KIT
but never the man, which is exactly what the census's T2 line reports. The registry lane owns the
write.
hitzone_parts EMPTY, and this row adds a meaning the doctrine's seven homes do not carry: MORALE.The kit's second part is "the enforcers' willingness," which meets all three currencies — a permanent
subtraction from the live moveset, a legibility gain, and a state the encounter wants — and is not a
body region, a vehicle, machinery, equipment, architecture, a surface, restorative, or absent. It is
the eighth home and it belongs to nobody's body.
(BE_0009_S1), a drive belt (BE_0013_S1) and a hide whip (this row) are the same physics
requirement — a tapered or uniform compliant member driven from one end, with tension as its only
state and a failure that whips. Three authored encounters in two chapters now depend on it and nothing
in the wave list owns it. It should be scoped once.
BE_0009 needed a crowd;this row needs a crowd that WORKS, routes around a machine rather than around the player, and
performs a collective decision as the encounter's win state. That last is not a cutscene and cannot be
faked with a camera cut without losing the beat the spine authored.
