BE_0007_S1 — the marma killer: the same knowledge, the other hand (THE HUMAN REGISTER, corrupted)

CANON SUBORDINATION — this document is PROPOSAL-TIER: it serves canon and never outranks it.
The canon: the CVD · the T1 foundation docs · the T0 registries (registries/) · the spine
(docs/spine/CH_*.md) · the region pages (_source/02_Tier_2_Region_Pages/). Authority order: docs/DOC_MAP.md § 0.
Canon served (scanned from this document's own citations — widen it by hand where it is thin):

READ THAT CANON FIRST — open it and derive from it before you build anything from this document.
If this document disagrees with canon, CANON WINS and this document is the defect — fix the
document, never the canon. Nothing here is applied until it is ratified into canon.

STATUS: PROPOSAL-TIER design sheet. It is the deliberate DARK MIRROR of BE_0007 — the same art, the

same room, the same knowledge, one man who kept it clean and one who did not — and the two sheets are

written to be read as a pair. It cites canon rows and writes none.

The kalari is a clinic as well as a school and a temple, and this man came up through the clinic.

rule binds here exactly as it binds on the uncorrupted subject, and it binds HARDER, because

distorting the body of a member of a living community is precisely what §17.1 exists to prevent.

fourth grade, Marmakkalai, is a gate no student crosses on skill alone, opened only to the one whose

bearing the guru trusts to hold both edges of the knowledge [CH_07 body prose; §10 CH07_B05].

THE DESIGN CONSEQUENCE, and it is this sheet's spine: THIS MAN WAS NEVER GIVEN THAT GATE. He has the

map and not the grade — which is why he kills by ambush and not by duel, and why the encounter's

whole texture is different from BE_0007's despite the identical knowledge.

the 107 points are documented and the tradition's own account of WHY they are vulnerable is

documented, but the specific lethal COMBINATIONS — which points in which order produce which effect

— are the living tradition's guarded knowledge and are not in the processed corpus. This sheet does

not name them, does not number them, and does not build a lethal sequence a reader could follow. The

fight is built on the SHAPE of a pressure line (§6), never on its content. A design that published a

working sequence would be both an invention and a genuine harm, and the refusal is recorded rather

than assumed.

shapes, the healing counter-point answer, the kit he carries, and the physical state described in

§4.

4. elevation

ONE-LINE READ: an ordinary man in a village street whose hands never stop moving and who is always

standing exactly one step closer than he needs to be.

THE HUMAN REGISTER, CORRUPTED VARIANT. Equipment, craft and state carry everything, and unlike

BE_0007 this subject DOES get A10 on state, because a hollowing is what the row's corruption means.

PRIMARY — A4 HYPERTROPHY AND ATROPHY, applied as CRAFT: the hands. Everything he is lives in them.

The forearm and hand development of a lifetime of therapeutic manipulation — thumb pads, the flexor

mass, the calluses in a healer's places rather than a fighter's — is the elevation, and it is a real

body doing a real job. THE ATROPHY HALF: nothing else about him is trained. He has no guard, no

footwork, no stance. Put him in front of Raghavendra and he would last seconds, and the encounter is

frightening precisely because he never intends to be in front of anyone.

SUPPORTING — A10 NEGATIVE SPACE, on state, following the BE_0002 pattern: WHAT IS MISSING IS THE

DISTANCE. A healer's proximity is licensed — a practitioner stands close, takes a wrist, reads a

pulse, and a patient permits it. He has kept the licence and lost the reason for it, so he stands at

treating distance from people who have not asked him to. That is the encounter's real horror, it

costs no anatomy, and a player feels it before they can name it.

SUPPORTING — A5 STATE. He is not scarred and not deformed. What he wears is a healer's kit that is

still complete and still maintained — the oils, the cloth, the small tools — carried by a man who no

longer treats anyone. The kit is in better condition than he is.

MECHANISM: knowledge without the gate that governs it. No vril elevation, no manifestation, nothing

supernatural. The doctrine's mechanism requirement is answered the same way BE_0007 answers it, and

the pair is the argument: the same craft, the same absence of magic, and the entire difference is

which hand the tradition put it in.

EMISSION: NONE.

5. articulation_delta

is read almost entirely at the wrist and finger level — the approach, the contact, the line — and a

hand rig that cannot carry a deliberate, skilled, close-range touch will collapse the whole subject

into a generic stabbing animation.

one: a walk that closes distance without reading as a closing. It is used before the fight starts and

it is what makes the ambush phase work.

6. fight_grammar

VERBS ARE DISRUPT AND READ, axis 40/25/35. The row's counters: "break the pressure-point line before

it completes; use the healing counter-point that undoes his strike."

THE ENCOUNTER HAS TWO HALVES AND THEY ARE DIFFERENT GAMES. P1 is a silent lethal ambush in which the

player is not yet fighting — they are reading a village and finding him in it. P2 is an open fight

against a man who is not a fighter and does not need to be.

ONE SHAPE, ONE ANSWER, AND FOUR OF THE FIVE ARE NOT ATTACKS. This is the slice's first encounter

where the primary threat is to OTHER PEOPLE and the player's failure is measured in someone else's

breath. It is the same design identity as BE_0006_S1's ward and it is reached by an opposite route,

which is the intended cross-encounter lesson.

THE HEALING COUNTER-POINT IS THE ROW'S OWN COUNTER AND IT IS THE CHAPTER'S THESIS AS A MECHANIC. The

protagonist has just learned the 107-point map as a craft (CH07_B06) and the row asks them to use it

to UNDO rather than to end. It is built on the cited breath-seated account without publishing any

sequence: the player restores a breath that was stopped, and the design specifies the EFFECT and

never the method.

ESCALATION — the row's phrase is "chains the same marma combinations tighter". P2 does not give him

new techniques. It gives him SPEED and a second target, so the player must break one line while a

second is starting. Nothing new is introduced.

THE FOUR CHANNELS: POSTURE — he stops pretending to be a passer-by and simply stands, which is

worse. BREATH — his own does not change, at any point, in either phase; he is the calmest thing in

the encounter. VOCALIZATION — he TALKS, in a healer's register, reassuringly, to the people he is

killing, and the design instruction is that this is the encounter's most disturbing element and must

never tip into villain monologue: he is being kind, in the voice he was trained in, and that is

enough. NEW OPENER — he stops needing the wrist.

OPENER AND VARIANTS: the root is THE TOUCH. Every variant is the touch faster, at a different place,

on a different person, or with the player between them.

BREAKABLE PARTS: the KIT (about 0.06 of silhouette — the oils and cloth at his hip; breaking it is a

permanent subtraction, because the preparation the oils represent is what makes his lines fast), and

his LEAD HAND's guard-wrap (about 0.04; breaking it slows the opening contact). Small fractions

honestly stated: a human in street clothes has almost no part economy, and §9 boards that rather than

inflating it.

CHAIN-METER BODY STATE: has_nonkill_path TRUE — the row's win is REDUCE;FREE, and freeing his

intended victims is the win rather than his death. Chain progress shows in how many people are still

standing behind the player.

RELOCATION AND TURF: he relocates constantly and that IS the encounter. He owns a street, not a room.

WIN: his lines broken, his victims freed, and the healing lineage he perverted recovered — the row's

own win reward, and the recovery is the point rather than the kill. LOSS: his lethal lines are logged

for the retry; the victims are lost and the retry knows it.

7. care_read

community who has corrupted that community's own revered healing knowledge, and §17.1's protection

is COLLECTIVE: it protects the Tamil and Malayali communities and the Siddha and Ayurvedic

traditions from being cast as villain, and it does NOT make an individual antagonist who belongs to

that culture unkillable. THE ROUTING THAT KEEPS BOTH TRUE: he is explicitly A LONE CORRUPTED

INDIVIDUAL on the row and in the spine; the healing tradition is the thing he BETRAYED and is

represented in the encounter by the people he preys on and by the counter-point the player uses to

undo him; and the win recovers the lineage rather than condemning it.

the same art. A chapter that showed only the corrupted practitioner would have defamed a tradition;

a chapter that showed only the honourable one would have flattered it. Both are here, both are real,

and the tradition is the one that produced both and named the gate between them.

because freeing the victims is the win — not because the kill is withheld.

raw-generated with negative prompts as the control, and the design instruction is explicit that he

must look ORDINARY — any drift toward a sinister-looking villain would both weaken the encounter and

slide toward physiognomy on a real community, which is the exact failure the doctrine's Flores

exemplar names.

encounter into a safe villain? NO. (1) Nothing was reduced — the row arrived as

corrupted_individual and this sheet made him MORE disturbing, not less: he kills gently, in a

healer's voice, at treating distance, and the player watches it happen if they are slow. (2) The

staging is not passive; the victims are real, the failure is visible, and the encounter is lost by

being late rather than by being outfought. (3) The devil's-advocate direction was run: could this

be bolder? The bolder option considered was making the CORRUPTION INSTITUTIONAL — a lineage of

marma-killers rather than one man — and it was rejected, on grounds recorded here, because it would

cast a living tradition's healing lineage as a killer's guild, which is exactly the collective

defamation §17.1 forbids and is not made acceptable by being dramatic. The boldness went into his

MANNER instead.
