T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0005_S2 :: sources, which names him LEFT protective].

CITED: the anti-fringe binding — Borobudur, Prambanan and Srivijaya are credited to THEIR OWN

BUILDERS. No lost race, no external teaching, no fringe attribution reaches any player surface.

This is a hard constraint on every plate and every string this sheet dispatches.

CITED: borobudur carries no animal-sacrifice content and no predator encounter, and the site is

PROTECTED.

The row's target type is guardian_honored_adversary, which is the roster's own name for exactly

this class: honoured, adversarial in function, never an enemy.

4. elevation

ELEVATION BUDGET: ONE AXIS, AND THE FIGURE ITSELF IS NOT ELEVATED AT ALL. A dharmapala's wrathful

iconography is already complete, already fierce, and already carved. Adding to it would be inventing

on a living tradition's sacred sculpture, and the ritual register's rule applies: the honoured figure

is not the design subject. The subject is THE ASCENT.

PRIMARY — A8 MATERIAL SUBSTITUTION at monument scale, which is a fancy way of saying the encounter is

built out of Borobudur:

THE STAIR IS THE FIGHT. A three-tier mandala with a terraced ascent means the encounter is VERTICAL

and staged at transitions, and the guardian's whole function is to bar ONE stair-head at a time.

The player is never fighting in a room; they are being turned back down a step.

THE RELIEFS ARE THE INSTRUCTION. Borobudur's terrace walls carry narrative relief registers, and the

chapter's own literacy beat sits here. The ASCENT-REGISTER the player must attune to is legible on

the walls they are climbing past — each terrace's reliefs declare that terrace's bearing, and the

guardian tests whether the climber matches it. The monument teaches the answer to its own test, in

its own carving, which is what the monument does in life.

THE DUST AND THE MORNING. The same non-emissive read the Ch-4 gate-naga uses: the guardian sheds

settled dust when it moves, and Borobudur at dawn has real fog and real low sun. Nothing is lit that

is not lit by the sky.

MECHANISM: a threshold that admits by bearing is a threshold with a condition, and the condition is

the mandala's own — you ascend a level by being at that level. Vril alters real physics; the stone is

stone.

ONE-LINE READ: a carved guardian at the top of a stair that will not let a wrong-footed climber past,

on a monument whose own walls say what the right footing is.

The figure's arms and head are the only moving parts and their ROM is sculptural (section 2). It

does not step off its post, it does not pursue, and it does not change scale.

The dust behaves as the Ch-4 sheet describes, and the two rows should SHARE that grammar rather than

each inventing one — boarded there and again here.

Nothing is added to the monument. The reliefs are the site's own and are authored as the site's own.

ruling on the row and this sheet holds it: there is no defeat, no damage, no health bar, and no

route on which the guardian is harmed. The win_condition is PURGE, which here means the passage is

earned and the guardian remains.

THE DEITY RULE IS HELD. Mahakala is a named dharmapala of living traditions. He is not cast as a

villain, his name sits on no mortal NPC, and the encounter's own framing — honoured adversary,

threshold trial — is the class the standing rule permits.

THE ANTI-FRINGE RULE IS A PLATE CONSTRAINT, not just a text one. Every image this sheet dispatches

must show Borobudur as the work of its builders. No plate composition may imply antiquity beyond the

historical, non-human construction, or an outside origin.

ANTI-TIMID PASS, RECORDED: the question asked was whether a purely non-damaging guardian in a

chapter that already carries a non-damaging gate at Ch 4 is a repetition and a softness. On

repetition — no, and deliberately: the Ch-4 gate is a threshold that reads BALANCE, and this one

reads ALTITUDE, and the pair teaches that guardians ask different questions. On softness — the row

carries seven pips at reveal 1.0 and a wiping chain, and the encounter is one of four in a chapter

that also carries a killable corrupted authority, a condemned killing-spirit and a bound

war-construct. The chapter's boldness is not carried by this row and does not need to be.
