*Homo sapiens*. A Manggarai caci champion at the peak of a real martial practice — ordinary human
skeleton, ordinary human ROM, and a body trained for one specific motion: the whip arm's full
overhead-to-diagonal delivery and the shield-and-cane hand's cross-body catch.

The caci is a real Manggarai whip-and-shield contest and the region page holds its material culture
(the caci shield among the region's named crafts) and its ceremonial meaning (the blood-fertilizes-earth
reading kept, never a brawl). The chapter's own line is that the contest's non-lethality is
constitutive: it is won on the clean turn and the kept count. The champion has been BOUGHT by a
deforestation broker, and the broker is the antagonist — the champion is a man with a price, not a
villain with a people.
ELEVATION BUDGET: ZERO ANATOMICAL AXES, DECLARED, per the human register. The elevation is EQUIPMENT
and CRAFT, and on this row it is unusually rich because the caci is a costumed practice:
objects with real material properties — hide over a bent frame, split bamboo, plaited hide.
mirror ornament, the bells. THE BELLS ARE THE DESIGN'S BEST GIFT and section 6 spends them.
shoulders are recent and PLURAL. He has been fighting more contests than a champion should, because
someone is paying for them, and his body says so before anyone explains the arrangement.
ONE-LINE SILHOUETTE READ: a ceremonial fighter with a raised whip and a round shield, wearing bells,
with too many fresh marks across his back.
EMISSION: none.
Nothing added. Two constraints instead: the whip is a simulated cord with a declared length and a
declared tip speed, because the arc IS the telegraph and a whip animated as rigid geometry destroys
the entire fight; and the bells are physics-driven with declared mass, because the sound cue in
section 6 must come from the actual motion rather than from a timed audio event.

THE BELLS ARE THE FIGHT'S CLOCK. A caci fighter's ornament rings on the wind-up, and the design makes
that the cue: the arc's telegraph has a SOUND with a real physical origin, so a player can fight this
man partly by ear, and the phase-two tightening is audible as the two rings coming closer together
before it is visible. That is escalation announced in the body, delivered free by real material
culture.
THE SOCIAL ROUND IS THE OTHER HALF OF THE WIN. secondary_verb is EXPOSE and the second counter is to
bring the prepared evidence to the social round. The fight is a real fight and the resolution is a
PACIFY: ritual victory plus the broker exposed, no kill, and Kaba gifts a caci technique — which he
gifts EITHER WAY, win or loss, because the row says so.
ESCALATION, four channels: POSTURE — the blade of the stance deepens and the shield comes higher, from
contest carriage to fighting carriage. BREATH — audible on the delivery, which it was not in phase one.
VOCALIZATION — the caci's own called challenge, which is part of the practice, delivered harder.
NEW OPENER — the double-beat replaces the single arc.
OPENER: the single overhead arc. The most legible and least punishing thing in the fight, and every
dangerous entry is a variant of it.
easily go wrong, because the opponent is a Manggarai man in Manggarai ceremonial practice. Canon's
aim is already correct: the broker's land pressure is the antagonist, the champion is bought, the
contest is honoured as the practice it is, and the resolution exposes the broker before the
assembled community. The ceremonial meaning is kept and it is never a brawl.
EXEMPT_DESTRUCTIVE citation on the row is a cited warrant, not a lane's taste, and the failure cost
is real: the village negotiates on worse terms.
community's face does not route through raw generation.
visible injury on a real practice's fighter reads as brutality toward the culture. REFUSED — the
marks are the practice's own reality (the blood-fertilizes-earth meaning is canon and kept), and
their PLURALITY is the evidence that someone is buying contests, which is the chapter's actual
accusation. Removing them would protect nobody and would delete the tell.
telegraph's audible clock, and the four tell shapes are INVENTED BY THIS SHEET. The caci practice,
its constitutive non-lethality, the shield and whip, the counters, the pacify win and the gifted
technique are CITED.
hand high, headcloth and bells, in flat afternoon light with the assembled community as soft
background shapes.
character_id is NOT ROWED on this boss (the row's own sources cell says "character_id backlog (not rowed)"), so the chapter's main antagonist-facing human has no T0_Character_Index entry to carry
his persona, and the human register's whole design surface — face, dress, family, standing — has
nowhere to live.
hitzone_parts, phase_trigger, escalation_vector, phase_voice_array all EMPTY.T0_Boss_Attack_Rail 0 rows. The whip's arc telegraphs are the clearest case in the slice for the rail's tell_shape_class and telegraph_lead_ms columns, and there is nothing in them.
the chapter's actual antagonist, and no BE_ or bestiary subject carries him.
