skeleton, ordinary ROM, and no elevation — the human register's zero.

The Ch-3 antagonist is community-institutional land pressure — a pre-colonial deforestation broker —
and it predates the House of Velheim entirely, which the region page states in its own reveal-ladder
note. This row is the apparatus's field layer, and the target type says so: OPPRESSOR_APPARATUS.
ELEVATION BUDGET: ZERO ANATOMICAL AXES, DECLARED. The elevation is EQUIPMENT and SYSTEM, and on this
row the system IS the enemy:
in a surveyed line through forest that a community holds under the ngoéng-de-tana. The line is a
physical object in the world, it is visible from a distance, and it is the encounter's real body.
grammar DELIBERATELY RECURS as the Ch-39 patrol grammar, so a player who learns it here is being
taught a language they will meet again thirty-six chapters later. That is a long-range design asset
sitting in a sub-boss row and this sheet treats it as the row's most valuable property.
row names as a counter. Their carriage is different from the captain's — they work, they do not
hunt — and the difference has to be legible at a glance or the rescue verb cannot function.
ONE-LINE READ: a surveyed line of blazed trees running through somebody else's land, and a man on a
ridge who moves people with a sound.
EMISSION: none.
Nothing added. One constraint: the marks are real placed objects with a real spatial order, because
the counter is to SEVER the marking line to collapse coordination — which requires the line to be a
findable, traversable, cuttable thing rather than set dressing.

DISARM IS THE PRIMARY VERB AND IT IS LITERAL: the win is the captain isolated once his marked-tree
line is cut, the crew's coordination collapsed, and the conscripts freed as valley allies. The
win_condition is REDUCE;FREE and the free half is the point.
ESCALATION, four channels: POSTURE — the captain comes down off the ridge, because a commander who has
lost his line has to fight. BREATH — audible for the first time when he does. VOCALIZATION — the
whistle grammar shortens into single sharp calls as the vocabulary he had stops working. NEW OPENER —
the double-beat envelopment.
HL_0123: the collective protection is framing-level, and lethal violence against the human
antagonists here is core gameplay with weight and consequence rather than a kill-ban. The conscripts
are explicitly not targets and the design makes their hesitation the visible tell that says so.
pre-colonial deforestation crew reads as an accusation against the Manggarai. It does not: the
broker is the apparatus, the conscripts are victims, the community's own rite is the chapter's win
condition at the sibling row, and the chapter's protagonist-facing allies are Manggarai throughout.
specific shapes, and the conscript hesitation tell are INVENTED BY THIS SHEET. The whistle grammar's
RECURRENCE at Ch 39, the counters, the verbs and the free-the-conscripts win are CANON.
cut bark, receding into the trees. No people in frame — the line alone, because the line is the
enemy.
