Chapter 74 — Yggdrasil: The World-Tree, the Root That Would Not Hold, and the Door Home
Story Spine entry, v3.1 beat→fork→state event graph (docs/SPINE_SCHEMA_v3.md), restructured in place from the v2.5 cascade build (the ratified Realm-Road re-architecture), spine_status drafted. The v2.5 anchors, prose, source-anchor provenance, and reveal discipline are preserved; v3 re-shapes the site/boss/beat/side-quest/scene/state blocks into the typed machine layer (join-and-type — no new canon authored AT THE v3 CONVERSION; the CH74_B10 terrace beat and the HL_0048 parenthetical repair were authored later, under Josh's eighth-sitting final-ascent ruling of 2026-07-27 — Pattern A, the Terraced Ascent — with the HL_0048 peaks-clause removal itself ruled at the fourth sitting the same day). This entry REPLACES the built Ch-74 node end to end: the built "The Father's Court: Cassius Velheim" was the pre-re-architecture PRIMARY-ANTAGONIST REVEAL, and under the ratified reconciliation ALL of its content — Cassius Velheim named, the House of Velheim and the 5,000-year pattern surfacing, the three-phase Charioteer boss, the Elven King's court — RE-HOMES to Ch 76 "the Two Courts" (recorded in docs/spine/REALM_RECASCADE_PUNCHLIST.md). Ch 74 is now the Norse World-Tree: the ninth and LAST Realm-Road otherworld, and THE canonical crossing into the game's own fairy realm (Ch 75-77). This IS a canonical hard-line node, its basis RE-BASED from "the patriarch reveal" to a STRUCTURAL KEYSTONE — the only myth-native crossing into the fairy realm and the Thread-5 (Tree of Life / World Axis) capstone. Care tier OPEN, with the LOUDEST Ariosophy/Nazi-occult/völkisch firewall of the whole road (authorial-only, at its absolute sharpest). Reveal-timing note — the reveal ceiling is at its most absolute: the old Ch 74 was the reveal, and the new node carries NONE of it — no Cassius, no House of Velheim, no 5,000-year pattern, no thesis, no Grand-Sage hint, no agent-noun, no invoke-and-negate; the Realm Road leaks no family pattern through the last node either, and the reveal begins only at Ch 76 (HL_0043/HL_0046). Drafted is not canonical.
Entry header (schema per §9.5)
chapter_id CH_74; region the Nine Worlds of Yggdrasil — the Norse cosmos on the World-Ash: a dimensional space rather than an Earth location, the great tree that holds the worlds on its trunk and boughs and roots (Ásgard, Álfheim of the light-elves, Midgard, Jötunheim, and the others of the tradition's own naming), its three roots reaching to three wells (Urðarbrunnr where the three Norns tend the tree, Mímisbrunnr the well of wisdom, and Hvergelmir the roaring spring where the corpse-render gnaws the root); the last door on the Realm Road, and the crossing home [SRC: T1_CVD_Creative_Vision_Document # 17.7] [SRC: T1_World_Geography_Master # 9].
region_chapter_set — the ninth and LAST of the nine Realm-Road otherworlds (Atlantis → Pohjola/Sariola → the Apsu → the Duat → Hades → Xibalba → Naraka/Meru → Annwn → Yggdrasil, the realm-names locked per CVD §17.7 and §19.8), and the eighth of the added Realm-Road nodes counted from Pohjola per CVD §19.8's ordinal; the crossing at the end of the climb home, the World-Tree that is the only myth-native door into the game's own fairy realm (Ch 75-77) [SRC: T1_CVD_Creative_Vision_Document # 19.8] [SRC: T0_Chapter_Index @ CH_74].
biome_primary the World-Ash under perpetual assault — a vast tree-cosmos of trunk and root and crown, its worlds hung on the boughs, and the tree in agony (Grímnismál 35: a hart bites it above, its side rots, and the corpse-render gnaws it below), kept alive only by active tending; the register grave and vertical and threatened, the twilight of the gods a shadow felt over everything but never fallen; climate outside human historical time [SRC: T1_World_Geography_Master # 9].
era mytho-Norse, outside-time; the substrate frame the living Norse mythological tradition (the Poetic and Prose Eddas, Snorri, the skalds), held as Layer-2 reference and honored on its own terms — the medieval Icelandic corpus, and the living inclusive Heathenry that honors it, held strictly clean of the racial-nationalist appropriation; the realm itself the game's own dimensional space [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 24].
operational type CROSSING-DEFENSE (KEEP-WHOLE / RE-ROOT) — explored AND fought, the winning verb RE-ROOT (the corpus's own shape — the serpent outlasts Völuspá itself): the tree, the three wells, the Norns' tending, and the ecosystem of the boughs are the explored world, and Níðhöggr the corpse-render gnawing the root the crossing depends on is the marquee dragon-fight — a visceral fought boss broken off the root and driven back by force (never slain), its six-named serpent-brood the add-class — keep the tree whole, seal and re-root the gnawed root, drive the serpent back, and open the door home. No Earth community and no revered being is a combat target; the gods, the Norns, and the light-elves are honored, and the one adversary is the tradition's own corpse-render, driven back and never slain [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0074].
canonical_hard_line_flag TRUE — a hard-line node (the last Realm-Road otherworld), its basis RE-BASED to a STRUCTURAL KEYSTONE (the only myth-native crossing into the fairy realm plus the Thread-5 capstone), NOT a reveal; the reveal content re-homes to Ch 76. The binding disciplines: the §17.9 reveal ceiling at its most load-bearing (the last node leaks NO family pattern — no Cassius, no House, no thesis, no Grand-Sage hint; the reveal begins Ch 76), the LOUDEST Ariosophy/Nazi-occult/völkisch firewall (authorial-only), the deities-are-real honoring of the Norse gods and beings, and the Álfheim-is-not-the-game's-fairy-realm crossing care call [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0043] [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0046].
prev_chapter_link CH_73 (Annwn — the Welsh Otherworld, the ford-duel won by the withheld blow, Arawn a firm friend, the fair-folk register walked); next_chapter_link CH_75 (the Realm at War — the fairy homecoming, the game's own fairy realm entered at last through the tree) [SRC: T0_Chapter_Index @ CH_74].
Continuity anchor (SSBL §9.3 — Ch 74 start state = Ch 73 end state)
The protagonist enters Yggdrasil at eighteen, the young-adult plateau holding (internal age designer-only, never surfaced); age_stage Adulthood (the stage holds across the whole node — no D-06 crossing here) [SRC: T0_Chapter_Index @ CH_74].
Threshold state carried from Annwn (Ch 73): the eighth Realm-Road node passed; the Welsh Otherworld of plenty walked, the ford-duel won by the one committed blow and the withheld second, Arawn made a firm friend, the fair-folk register walked so this crossing reads myth-native. ONE otherworld remains — Yggdrasil itself, the World-Tree crossing — and beyond it the game's own fairy realm (Ch 75) [SRC: T0_Chapter_Index @ CH_74].
Vril state — the resumed-and-rising road at the threshold of home. The road's vril resumed decisively at Meru (Ch 72) and kept rising through Annwn's warmth (Ch 73); here at the tree it is at the highest it has been on the whole Realm Road, the crossing-tree luminous with it — but the full fairy-realm ceiling is NOT restored here (that homecoming payoff belongs to the fairy return, Ch 75): Yggdrasil is the door, not the country beyond it [SRC: T1_Vril_and_Magic_System_Master # 11].
Mastery, ability, and familiar state: the discipline carried at its ceiling (Astral Projection A_C_001, elemental manipulation, animal communication, healing, cloaking; the Phoenix Form A_F_012 carried; the seven vril-seats sustained); the Inscription discipline (Trade 9) at Adeptus Exemptus, reading the tree's runic inscriptions and the well-names as Layer-2 reference; the familiars carried — the F4 Simurgh and the raven-pair (Ch 24) resonant at the tree's eagle-and-messenger ecosystem — and no new bond rooted here [SRC: T3_Familiars_Named] [SRC: T0_Ability_Tree_Registry @ A_C_001].
Companions: the healer's child (CHAR_0002) per the Ch-65 Departure/Continuation resolution; Ana (CHAR_0017), the melee blade; the accreted found-family carried — at the last door of the whole road with her, the crossing home almost open [SRC: T0_Character_Index @ CHAR_0002].
Ch-24 payoff and the Thread-5 landing: the World-Tree she first read as lore in the north (Ch 24 — Yggdrasil the max-elaborated world-axis, the Norns at Urd's well, the corpse-render at the root, Ratatoskr the messenger, Ragnarök the end written into the worlds) she now WALKS as a real realm; and the World-Tree axis and catalog that were recognized at the Duat and re-homed forward (Ch 69 → Ch 74), together with every axis-anchor of the road (the Ch-16 pipal and Ashvattha, the Ch-72 Meru), LAND here as the Thread-5 capstone — felt as structural recognition, never declared [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 24] [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 5].
Body prose
The last door is a tree, and the tree is dying, and no one has told it that it is allowed to. She comes up to it at the end of the whole road and it is the most enormous living thing she has ever stood under — an ash so vast it holds worlds on its branches, whole countries hung in its crown like fruit, the road she has walked revealed all at once as boughs of this single trunk, every realm she crossed a leaf on one tree. She feels the recognition go through her like cold water, and she does not say it, not even to herself, because some true things are truer for being left unspoken and this is the truest and the most dangerous one: that it was one tree the whole time. She lets it be a thing she has seen and not a thing she has concluded. There is work to do that will not wait for her to marvel.
Because the tree is under attack, and has been since before the first god, and will be until the last. Something at the root is eating it. She goes down along the trunk to the deepest well, the roaring one, and finds the thing the old poems named: a great corpse-colored serpent coiled into the tree's own root, vast and patient and ancient, its jaws working the living wood, sucking the life out of the axis of the world one slow mouthful at a time. And she knows the body. Not the scales — the scales are new, root-grey and bark-scarred, the tree's own colors grown over it — but the coil under them, the weight and the patience of it, the way it fills the dark; she has met this thing before, in other waters, wearing other hides, and she does not say so and does not need to, because her hands remember it before her mind does. Above it the rot climbs the trunk where the bark has failed, and a small vicious creature runs the whole height of the tree carrying poison from crown to root and back, and around the gnawed root there are more serpents than any fool imagines, coiled at every shoot — six of them the old poem troubles to name, Góinn and Móinn, Grábakr and Grafvölluðr, Ofnir and Sváfnir, each with its own length and its own way of striking, all of them working the shoots wider while the corpse-render works the taproot. This is not a thing she can kill. She learns that fast, and it is half the shape of the fight: you cannot slay the eater of the world-tree, because it is older than killing and it will be there at the end of everything, flying up out of the dark with the dead on its wings. But older-than-killing is not the same as untouchable, and she has not come this far to stand and watch. What she can do — and does — is fight it off the root by main force: break the grip of that coil and drive it back down into the dark it came from, cut its six-named brood back from the shoots when they dart in to widen the wound, and hold the bite open to the clean water and the pale clay the three fate-keepers have drawn since the beginning, so the tree closes over it one more time. Not victory over death. The refusal of it, blade and hand, one more time, because the tree is worth keeping and someone has to.
So that is what she does, and it is the last and strangest labor of the road: a battle and a tending in the same breath, neither one without the other. She fights the corpse-render off the root — trades the length of that coil blow for blow, drives it back down the taproot into the dark, cuts its six-named brood back from the shoots when they lunge in to widen what she is trying to close — and in the same motion holds the crossing open at the wound and seals it, draws the clean water, packs the pale clay, re-roots the axis where the serpent has worn it thin. And every time she closes a wound the eater surges back and tears it open again lower down, and she goes down after it and drives it off and closes it again, and the malice runs the trunk above trying to undo her from the crown, and the whole while the sky over the tree has the color of an ending, the wolf-shadow and the written twilight pressing at the edges of everything, close enough to smell, never quite arriving. She keeps it from arriving. Not by winning — there is no winning against the end of the world, only the postponement of it — but by refusing to let the root give way while she does the one thing the whole tree is for. Because the tree is a door. It always was. Every axis she ever climbed or read or crossed was a way between, and this is the way between she has been walking the entire road to reach: the root re-anchored, the serpent driven back down into the dark it came from and will return from, the tree holding — and there, where the highest clean bough runs out into a light fairer than the sun, a country she has not seen since she was a child and has never for one hour stopped missing. She does not cross as anything vast. She crosses as what she is, an elf a long way from home coming up the last root of the last tree at the end of the longest road, and the door opens onto the light, and she steps through into it, and she is home, or nearly, and whatever is waiting for her there she will meet as herself.
Threads advancing
Thread 5 (Tree of Life / World Axis), CAPSTONE / RESOLUTION_FINAL (structural) — the thread's structural culmination: Yggdrasil retro-frames the WHOLE Realm Road as worlds on one tree, the axis that connects every realm crossed (the Ch-16 pipal and the Ashvattha, the Ch-21 world-trees, the Ch-24 Yggdrasil escalation, the Ch-72 Meru world-axis, and the World-Tree axis and catalog recognized at the Duat and re-homed forward from Ch 69) all landing here as one tree; a STRUCTURAL resolution felt as recognition through play, NEVER a declared convergence — the "one architecture the traditions share" reading is the ultimate thesis, held to Ch 76-77, and no axis-image here is wired to the thesis lattice [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 5] [SRC: T0_Thread_Grid @ THREAD_05].
Thread 2 (The Serpent), ANCHOR — Níðhöggr the corpse-render coiled into the taproot, the root-serpent of the world-tree, fought as a full-bodied dragon-boss and driven back (never slain), with its six-named serpent-brood (Grímnismál 34 — Góinn, Móinn, Grábakr, Grafvölluðr, Ofnir, Sváfnir) individuated as the add-class; carried as the Norse register of the serpent thread (the Jörmungandr and the cross-cultural root-and-world serpents referenced as tradition, never reproduced), and the felt recurrence of the coil the protagonist has met before, now wearing the tree's own root-scales — held felt and protagonist-side, never a declared single-source dragon (no hyperdiffusion, no reveal leak) and never conflated with any other pattern; a firm fought anchor after the thread's Meru convergence (Ch 72), the serpent here the eater at the root driven off the wound and back into the dark [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 2] [SRC: T0_Thread_Grid @ THREAD_02].
Thread 19 (End-of-World / Eschaton), ANCHOR — Ragnarök held as a looming register only: the twilight of the gods felt and threatened over the whole node (the tree groaning, the wolf-shadow, the written end) but NEVER triggered; winning is the deferral of the end by keeping the tree whole, the eschaton the shadow that raises the stakes and never the set-piece [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 19] [SRC: T0_Thread_Grid @ THREAD_19].
Thread 1 (Vril Parallels), ANCHOR (light) — the Norse önd (the vril-breath under a Norse name) and the tree's luminous sap felt as the road's vril at its Realm-Road highest, surfaced through play and never declared (the RESOLUTION_FINAL re-homes to the fairy return, Ch 75) [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 1] [SRC: T0_Thread_Grid @ THREAD_01].
Major-thread coverage note — Ch 74 advances Thread 5 (CAPSTONE, structural, carried at CH74_B01), Thread 2 (ANCHOR, the root-serpent, carried at CH74_B05), Thread 19 (ANCHOR, the looming eschaton, carried at CH74_B08), and Thread 1 (ANCHOR, light, carried at CH74_B09); Thread 4 (Flood Memory) and Thread 6 (Dying-Rising) carry no direct Ch-74 anchor (the Ragnarök death-and-rebirth is held as the Thread-19 looming register, not a Thread-6 anchor), and the family/antagonist threads carry NO Ch-74 anchor (none present on the Realm Road, per §19.8 — the last node leaks no family pattern), permitted and flagged for RR-72; the THREAD_19/THREAD_01 CH_74 grid rows are deferred to the RR-72 consolidation to avoid positional churn (the spine carries the join) [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 5].
Civilizational marks (the builders-of-knowledge layer, §9.5 mandatory)
The Norse cosmological imagination — the World-Ash and its nine worlds, one of the great vertical cosmologies of Europe, imagined in the medieval Icelandic corpus (the Poetic and Prose Eddas) with a rigor and a strangeness all its own: a cosmos that is not serene but suffering, held together by tending; credited to its authors and honored as the tradition's own, never as an "Aryan cosmic axis" [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 24] [SRC: CROSS_CULTURAL_WEAVE].
The fate-and-tending ethic — the achievement of the Norns and the well of Urð: a claim that even the world-tree must be maintained, that fate is watered and the rot is packed with clay, that the highest work is preservation against an entropy that never stops — a civilization's ethic of stewardship-under-doom, reasoned into the shape of its cosmos [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 24] [SRC: SIGNIFICANCE_LENSES].
The eschatological courage of Ragnarök — the tradition's unflinching claim that the gods themselves die and the world burns and is reborn, and that one lives and fights well anyway under a written doom: an eschatology of dignity-without-rescue, honored as the Norse invention it is [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 24] [SRC: T1_Trades_Master # 9].
The world-axis as a pattern of the human mind — the last of the road's civilizational marks, recognized structurally: that culture after culture, independently, imagined the cosmos as a tree or a mountain or a pillar at the centre, an axis between worlds — a parallel-independent convergence of the human imagination (never a single diffused source, never one architecture literally encoded), credited as the Thread-5 capstone and felt, not declared [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 24] [SRC: CROSS_CULTURAL_WEAVE].
Everything-woven (the twelve facets, each a real presence, none name-checked)
Combat is a dragon-fight and a tending in one — the winning verb RE-ROOT, never slay, but the fight is visceral and fought: break the corpse-render's grip and drive it off the taproot by main force, cut its six-named serpent-brood back from the shoots, then seal and re-anchor the axis behind it and race the rot up the trunk; a real marquee dragon-boss whose enemy is an eater older than killing and whose weapons are blade and hand both [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0074].
Exploration is the world-tree climbed — the trunk from the roaring well at the root to the light-fairer-than-the-sun at the crown, the three wells, the Norns' hall, the ecosystem of the boughs (the eagle, the messenger, the harts), a real vertical tree-cosmos to traverse [SRC: T1_World_Geography_Master # 9].
Discovery (the road revealed as boughs of one tree; the tree dying and kept whole by hand; the tree found to be a door); puzzles (which root the serpent gnaws; the water-and-clay tending; the race against the spreading rot); mystery (what waits across the crossing; how long the twilight can be held off) [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 5].
Lore (Yggdrasil and the nine worlds, the Norns and the wells, Níðhöggr and Ragnarök, Álfheim of the light-elves); trades (the runic inscriptions and well-names read as Layer-2 reference; the discipline of tending); gathering (the tree kept whole, the crossing re-rooted, the door home opened) [SRC: T1_Trades_Master # 9].
Side quests (the wells consulted; the boughs and their ecosystem walked; the runic lore read); engineering (the Norse cosmology credited as Layer-2 reference; the vril substrate at its Realm-Road highest); folklore (the tree-lore and the corpse-render honored as living Norse tradition, referenced never lifted); superstition (precisely what the chapter refuses — no Aryan cosmic axis, no runic super-code, no polar-Thule energy, no Ragnarök-as-race-war; the tree the tradition's own and the game's own dimensional space, the excluded appropriation held authorially per the Anti-fringe flags, never voiced in-world) [SRC: T1_CVD_Creative_Vision_Document # 19.1].
Key sites and spatial layout
Story-load-bearing sites, each having cleared the §4 relevance filter; geography anchors to the World Geography Master, never the RCM. Typed v3.1 site rows (§3b) — beats reference these by site_id; the environmental detail rides each row as env texture [SRC: T1_World_Geography_Master # 9].
env: Urðarbrunnr the high white Well of Urð where the three Norns draw water and pack pale clay to keep the tree whole, Mímisbrunnr the well of wisdom, and Hvergelmir the roaring spring at the gnawed root; the tending-mechanic anchor and the L2 lore-read of the tradition's own contested cosmography (the sources diverge on the roots and wells; the realm holds the divergence), the runic inscriptions and well-names Inscription-legible at Adeptus Exemptus and the assembled 77-Hidden fragment read impressionistically here; the Norns honored fate-keepers referenced never reproduced; hosts CH74_B03; L2/L3.
env: the vast ascending trunk where the rot spreads and the messenger runs the malice, and the boughs that hold the worlds (Álfheim of the light-elves the load-bearing one), the eagle at the crown and the harts browsing; the vertical world-tree traversal, the whole road revealed all at once as boughs of one tree (the vista) under the twilight-colored sky of the looming end (weather_dramatic), and the race against the rot; the ecosystem honored never a loot-farm; hosts CH74_B01/CH74_B02/CH74_B07; L1/L2.
env: the roaring root-spring where Níðhöggr coils into the tree's taproot and gnaws, its six-named serpent-brood (Góinn, Móinn, Grábakr, Grafvölluðr, Ofnir, Sváfnir) at the shoots; the marquee crossing-defense dragon-fight (break the corpse-render off the root and drive it back by force, cut the brood back from the shoots) fought in the same breath as the Norns' water-and-clay tending (seal the gnawed root, re-anchor the axis) while the eater tears each wound open again; the combat site, the tree's own assailant, never a community or an honored being; hosts CH74_B04/CH74_B05/CH74_B06/CH74_B08; L1/L2.
env: where the highest clean bough runs out into a light fairer than the sun and the crossing into the game's own fairy realm opens (the vril site VS_CH74_001, the crossing-axis at the road's vril highest); the re-rooted crossing and the step-through home (into Ch 75), the Álfheim rhyme felt, the fairy realm the game's own space beyond and never literally Álfheim; the settled tree and the bough's clean water the last quiet before the door — the sanctum-and-companion terrace, ambient_threat low, boss none, player-paced, the crossing-bough vista looking back down the whole walked road; hosts CH74_B10/CH74_B09; L1/L3.
Inter-chapter travel — arrival at the World-Tree from Annwn at the end of the climb home (the Ch-73 close); departure through the re-rooted crossing at the highest bough into the game's own fairy realm, opening Ch 75 [SRC: T1_World_Geography_Master # 9].
Boss structure (§9 thin join index — phases are beats; the narrative lives in the beat graph)
One main boss, a blended crossing-defense: primary-and-secondary-verb, three-axis, with phases that EVOLVE not swap across the tree's three assailed zones (Grímnismál 35), the six-named serpent-brood the add-class, and a reward on win and on death per the T1_Combat failure-states rule — but the WIN verb is RE-ROOT not attrition (you do not slay the eater of the world-tree; the corpus never kills it), so there is NO fail-wall [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0078] [SRC: T1_Combat_System_Spec].
BE_0074 "Níðhöggr, the Corpse-Render at the Root" (the Malice-Striker of Náströnd; Thread 2, the tradition's own isfet/chaos-class figure of malice, NOT a Velheim node) · primary RE-ROOT · secondary DRIVE-BACK · axis 40/40/20 · phases [P1→CH74_B05, P2→CH74_B07, P3→CH74_B08] · win {the tree kept whole and the crossing RE-ROOTED and the door home OPENED; Ragnarök DEFERRED; local.door_home_open — no ws antagonist-write (Níðhöggr is not a Velheim node); the realm-crossed carried by the seam} · death {no fail-wall — a failed seal re-opens the root and the gnawing resumes so the player re-learns the tending; on death the labor re-opens from the last sealed zone; no honored being at risk} [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0074]
phase map — P1 THE ROOTS (the corpse-render coiled into the taproot at Hvergelmir; break its grip and drive it off the wound by main force, the six-serpent add-class harrying the shoots) → CH74_B05; the Norns' tending-under-fire (seal the gnawed root, re-anchor the axis) the interleaved non-phase labor → CH74_B06; P2 THE TRUNK (the rot spreading and the messenger's malice running the height; race the decay and re-clay the trunk, the vril at its Realm-Road highest sustaining the work) → CH74_B07; P3 THE CROSSING RE-ROOTED (the corpse-render driven back down into the dark it came from and will return from, the axis re-anchored, the twilight deferred, the door home opened) → CH74_B08 [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0074].
add-class (ambient, no registry row) — the six-named serpent-brood of Grímnismál 34 (Góinn, Móinn, Grábakr, Grafvölluðr, Ofnir, Sváfnir), each a distinct add with its own reach, tell, and line of attack (burrowers that reopen a sealed shoot from beneath, a grey-backed pair that lunge a wound wider in tandem, climbers that harry down from the bark), read-and-driven-back never a faceless swarm; and the messenger's malice on the trunk (the tree's own assailants, care-clean) → CH74_B05/CH74_B07 [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0074].
sub-encounters (each within a beat) — the Norns' tending rendered playable (draw the clean water, pack the pale clay, the Norns honored fate-keepers whose repair-craft the protagonist ECHOES and does not supplant) → CH74_B06; the well-of-wisdom consult (a reverent lore-read, never plunder) → CH74_B03 — all routed so that no revered being and no cultural representative is a target [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0007].
reveal binding — NONE at Ch 74: there is no Velheim operative on the Realm Road and the LAST node holds this hardest (the old Ch 74 was the reveal, now re-homed to Ch 76); no patriarch and no Cassius present, no House of Velheim and no 5,000-year pattern surfaced; the one adversary is Níðhöggr, the tradition's own corpse-render, not the family [SRC: T4_House_of_Velheim_Canonical # 10.4] [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0035].

Protected-chapter / living-culture framing (§17.1 OPEN care, the LOUDEST anti-fringe firewall, and the reveal ceiling at its most load-bearing)
Ch 74 renders the Norse World-Tree, and carries OPEN §17.1 care (open is not low care; represent-with-care binds) with the LOUDEST anti-fringe firewall of the whole Realm Road, because Norse mythology is the most Ariosophy- and Nazi-occult-appropriated tradition in the world. Five commitments bind. First, the FIREWALL AT ITS ABSOLUTE SHARPEST, authorial-only and never a player-facing beat: the excluded lineage — Guido von List's Armanist Ariosophy and his invented Armanen runes, Jörg Lanz von Liebenfels and Ostara, the völkisch racial-mysticism, the appropriation of the world-axis (Yggdrasil, the Saxon Irminsul) as an "Aryan cosmic axis," the polar-Aryan and Thule and Hyperborea homeland myth (firewalled already at Ch 67 Pohjola), the SS runes derived from List's designs, and the live modern hazard of neo-völkisch and far-right reuse of Yggdrasil and runic and Norse imagery — is held entirely at authorial arm's length (Goodrick-Clarke the reference), never surfaced, never invoked-and-negated; the tree, the runes, and Norse belief are rendered strictly from the medieval corpus as the tradition's OWN, and the living inclusive Heathenry that honors the tradition is respected and held distinct from the Folkish and racist strands; and the game's Vril reads mathematical and physical substrate, never a race-mystical "Nordic" or "polar" energy, firewalled from the Bulwer-Lytton and Nazi-occult "Vril Society" myth. Second, DEITIES AND REVERED BEINGS HONORED, NEVER FOUGHT: the gods of Ásgard, the Norns, and the light-elves are honored as the tradition holds them (real and portrayable), never trap-monsters and never targets; combat routes ONLY through Níðhöggr, the tradition's own corpse-render and figure of dishonor (the isfet/chaos class), driven back and never slain. Third, the REVEAL CEILING AT ITS MOST LOAD-BEARING (the last node leaks no pattern): because the old Ch 74 WAS the primary-antagonist reveal, the new node holds the line hardest — no Cassius named, no House of Velheim, no 5,000-year pattern, no thesis, no Grand-Sage hint, no agent-noun and no invoke-and-negate (even negating a who-frame leaks); the reveal begins only at Ch 76, and no Yggdrasil or axis image (the well of fate, Mímir's wisdom, the one-tree recognition) is wired to the Ch 76-77 thesis mirror-lattice — the Thread-5 capstone lands as structural recognition felt through play, never as a declared "one architecture the traditions share" (that is the ultimate thesis, held). Fourth, ÁLFHEIM IS NOT THE GAME'S FAIRY REALM (the crossing care call, mirror of the Ch-73 Annwn firewall): Álfheim, the Ljósálfar's world on the tree, makes the elf-protagonist's crossing home myth-native by RHYME, and the game's own fairy realm ECHOES the light-elf register but is its own game-canon dimensional space, never literally Álfheim; the honored Norse proper nouns stay Norse reference, and the protagonist crosses home as an elf returning, with NO cosmic-identity inflation and no destinal framing. Fifth, AUTHENTICITY AND PROTECTED CONTENT: the "nine worlds" is presented as the tradition's mythic number and never as a tidy attested medieval roster (the sources name nine but never enumerate them); the boughs are populated with the sources' own named worlds; and the Eddic verse and runic content are referenced and investigatable (L2), never transcribed as ritual or staged as spectacle, no fabricated "authentic" chant, no sacred object reproduced (HL_0007) [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0043] [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0046] [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0001].
Anti-fringe / Frame-A flags
The Ariosophy / Nazi-occult / völkisch firewall (the LOUDEST of the whole road) — at-risk claim: reading Yggdrasil, the runes, or the world-axis through the Armanist Ariosophy of von List and Lanz von Liebenfels, the "Aryan cosmic axis" appropriation of the tree and the Irminsul, the Thule/Hyperborea polar-Aryan homeland, the SS runic mysticism, or the live neo-völkisch reuse of Norse imagery. Canonical framing: authorial-only; the tree and the tradition are rendered strictly from the medieval corpus (the Eddas, Snorri) as the tradition's own, the appropriation held entirely at authorial arm's length (Goodrick-Clarke) and never surfaced or invoked-and-negated, the living inclusive Heathenry honored and held distinct from the Folkish strands [SRC: ESOTERIC_GROUNDING] [SRC: SCIENCE_GROUNDING].
The Vril-Society firewall (vril at the world-tree, polar-adjacent) — at-risk claim: reading the tree's luminous sap or the road's vril through the Bulwer-Lytton and Nazi-occult "Vril Society" race-mystical "Nordic/polar energy." Canonical framing: authorial-only; the game's Vril is a mathematical and physical substrate (the önd under a Norse name), never a race-mystical or polar life-force; the excluded lineage held out of every player surface [SRC: ESOTERIC_GROUNDING].
The Thread-5-capstone-vs-thesis firewall (reveal-critical, the sharpest seam) — at-risk failure: letting the "whole road is worlds on one tree" recognition tip into the game's ultimate shared-substrate thesis, or wiring a Ch-74 axis-image to the Ch 76-77 mirror-lattice. Canonical framing: authorial-and-reveal; the capstone lands as STRUCTURAL recognition felt through play, never a declared "one architecture the traditions literally encode / the substrate every mind reaches"; the thesis stays held to Ch 76-77 [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0043] [SRC: ESOTERIC_GROUNDING].
The nine-worlds authenticity flag — at-risk failure: presenting the tidy modern nine-realm list as attested medieval canon. Canonical framing: authorial; the "nine" is the tradition's mythic number (Simek), the boughs populated with the sources' own named worlds, the roster never asserted as a fixed medieval enumeration [SRC: SCIENCE_GROUNDING].
Three-layer surfacing
L1 self-contained: a fully-playable world-tree crossing-defense — climb the great tree from the roaring root to the light-crowned bough, and keep it whole against the corpse-render — a visceral marquee dragon-fight (break its grip on the taproot and drive it off by force, cut its six-named serpent-brood back from the shoots) fought in the same breath as the Norns' tending-under-fire (seal the gnawed root, re-anchor the axis, race the rot) — then re-root the crossing and step through the door home; a genuine marquee boss whose win is the tree held and the eater driven back, with no fail-wall and no world-ending — and, before the door is opened, the last quiet at the bough: the vista looking back down the whole walked road, the raven-pair sent out along the messenger-runs, the kit repaired and set for the crossing at the bough's clean water, the found-family heard out on the country they are about to enter that is hers and not theirs, player-paced and never a passive cutscene [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0074].
L2 investigatable: the Norse substrate — the Poetic Edda (Völuspá, Grímnismál) and Snorri's Prose Edda (Gylfaginning) on Yggdrasil, the three wells, the Norns, Níðhöggr, Ragnarök, and Álfheim, and the scholarship (Lindow, Simek, Abram) — surfaced through the realm and the journal, the tradition honored on its own terms, the sources' divergence held, protected content referenced never reproduced, the appropriation firewalled authorially [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 24].
L3 metaphysical-as-real, never declared: the road really was worlds on one tree — the axis really does connect the realms, seen from the inside — and the crossing home really is the tree's own function, all felt through play; but nothing of the ultimate thesis is declared (the "one architecture the traditions share" reading stays held to Ch 76-77), no Grand-Sage hint is given, and no axis-image or well-of-fate is wired to the thesis lattice; the tending-not-conquest and the deferral-not-defeat of the end are the felt claims, and the protagonist crosses home as herself, no cosmic inflation [SRC: ESOTERIC_GROUNDING] [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0043].

abilities_unlocked no new tree ability; the discipline carried at its ceiling and luminous at the crossing-tree (Astral Projection A_C_001, elemental manipulation, animal communication, healing, cloaking; the Phoenix Form A_F_012 carried; the seven vril-seats sustained); the Inscription discipline (Trade 9, Adeptus Exemptus) reading the runic inscriptions and well-names as Layer-2 reference (held clean of the Armanen invention) [SRC: T0_Ability_Tree_Registry @ A_C_001].
vril_sites VS_CH74_001 Yggdrasil (dimensional_threshold / substrate_perception) — the Norse World-Tree as a canonical Realm-Road vril node and the crossing-axis (the sanctum held at CH74_B10 — save, recharge, and the crossing loadout set, companion parity included, per the vril-site sanctum ruling — and the crossing-axis consumed at CH74_B09), framed as the road's vril at its Realm-Road highest (the door, not the country beyond it; the full ceiling homed to Ch 75); felt never extracted, and firewalled from any race-mystical "Nordic energy" reading [SRC: T0_Vril_Site_Registry @ VS_CH74_001] [SRC: T1_Vril_and_Magic_System_Master # 11].
weapons chapter_anchored_weapon_add none — not a weapon-anchor chapter (the four HL_0056 anchors are Ch 9-10 / 29 / 47 / 57); roster-availability carried; the fought half is the crossing-defense (the tree kept whole, the serpent driven back, not a killed foe) [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0056].
trades no new trade home rooted here; the Inscription discipline (Trade 9) at Adeptus Exemptus applied to the runic inscriptions and well-names as Layer-2 reference (a mastery-application, not a new home) [SRC: T1_Trades_Master # 9].
familiars no new bond rooted here; the F4 Simurgh, the F7 Andean Condor (Mastery), the Nile Crocodile W2, the water familiars, the Amazon river-dolphin (Ch 50), the Jaguar (Ch 48), the Bowhead whale (Ch 56), and the raven-pair (Ch 24) carried, plus the roster; companions_and_recurring_npcs CHAR_0002 the healer's child (per the Ch-65 resolution) and CHAR_0017 Ana carried; a §17.9 reveal-authority reference row also applies and is deliberately not named (HL_0043/0046) [SRC: T3_Familiars_Named] [SRC: T0_Character_Index @ CHAR_0002].
inscription_spine the tree's runic inscriptions and the well-names read as Layer-2 reference (the tradition's own register, clean of the Armanen invention), and the 77-Hidden-Inscription fragment read here (INSC_77H_CH74_FRAGMENT, LAYER_3, §17.9-held, spoiler-protected, reveal-critical — held impressionistic, no thesis, no axis-image wired to the lattice); Inscription-legible at Adeptus Exemptus, the sacred content referenced never transcribed [SRC: T0_Inscription_Spine] [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0007].
schools NO school showcased and NO new school (§19.8 — the five added Realm-Road nodes Ch 70-74 author no new school; the thirteen-school scaffold holds); the SCH_006 Druidic discipline (anchor Ch 24, Celtic/Norse) resonates narratively at the tended world-axis (its place-as-channel attune paid off at Annwn Ch 73; here the Norse dimension is felt, the registry showcase unchanged); SCH_001 through SCH_013 carried [SRC: T0_School_Registry @ SCH_006].
main_quest_beat the beat graph (§10) — come to the last door; climb the tree; the wells and the lore; find the tree dying; the roots (P1); the tending-under-fire; the trunk (P2); the crossing re-rooted (P3); the last quiet at the bough; open the door and cross home; side_questlines SQ3/SQ11 (the wells and the lore), SQ1/SQ9 (the boughs and their ecosystem), and SQ5/SQ4 (the tending), path_bucket all, none gating [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0032].
integrity_divergence typed at FORK_CH74_A (§10b) — the crossing is a post-lock path_dispatch reading the Ch-65-committed bucket (path_bucket LOCKED), generating NO new divergence lock; crossing_register_at_chapter_end {TRULY_GOOD tends-defers-and-crosses-home-as-herself, GOOD_ENOUGH a competent keep-whole, EVIL would-grasp-the-tree's-power-or-force-the-crossing (checked by the tending-not-conquest and cross-home-as-herself shape)}; the texture bands are the DERIVED axis (§18); mark_left the tree kept whole and the crossing re-rooted (the door home opened), carried to Ch 75 by the seam (no forward_track mark — the immediate successor reads it across the seam, not a durable cross-chapter mark); convergence_node_id null (Ch 65 was the lock) [SRC: T1_Integrity_Paths_Worldstates_Master # 3.4].
substrate_sources the Norse corpus (the Poetic Edda — Völuspá and Grímnismál, Larrington; Snorri's Prose Edda — Gylfaginning, Faulkes) with the scholarship (John Lindow, Norse Mythology; Rudolf Simek, Dictionary of Northern Mythology; Christopher Abram, Myths of the Pagan North) and the firewall lineage held authorially (Goodrick-Clarke, The Occult Roots of Nazism / Black Sun; the living-Heathenry inclusive-vs-Folkish scholarship, Jennifer Snook) — with the Ariosophy/Armanen-rune, Aryan-cosmic-axis, Thule/polar, SS-runic, and neo-völkisch overlays held authorially as the excluded lineage and the Norse tradition held on its own terms; consolidated to the acquisition list and the Source registry (region_tags yggdrasil / the-norse-world-tree / the-nidhoggr-crossing-defense / the-thread-5-capstone / the-crossing-home, care tier OPEN-with-the-loudest-anti-fringe-firewall) [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 24] [POPULATE→T0_Source_Material_Registry].
rewards per-quest reward map authored in-intent — the tree kept whole and the crossing re-rooted, the end deferred, the door home opened, the Thread-5 capstone recognized, and the runic lore read; loot and seed anchors deferred [POPULATE→T0_RNG_Drop_Table] [POPULATE→T0_Quest_Seed_Registry].
encounter_mode/zone the world-tree traversal and the wells and boughs (exploration / lore, CH74_B01-B03), the Norns' tending (the water-and-clay repair mechanic, CH74_B06), and the Níðhöggr crossing-defense (environmental keep-whole/re-root, CH74_B05/B07/B08) — consistent with the typed site rows and the environmental dominant mode; the "combat" zone the tree's own assailants and the corpse-render at the root, never a community, an honored being, or a slain dragon [SRC: T1_World_Geography_Master # 9].

protagonist_age: 18 (internal, designer-only, never surfaced; the young-adult plateau holds).
age_stage: Adulthood (the stage holds forward).
companions_present: the healer's child (CHAR_0002) per the Ch-65 Continuation/Departure resolution; Ana (CHAR_0017), the melee blade; the accreted found-family carried.
familiars_present: the F4 Simurgh, the F7 Andean Condor (Mastery), the Nile Crocodile W2, the water familiars, the Amazon river-dolphin (Ch 50), the Jaguar (Ch 48), the Bowhead whale (Ch 56), and the raven-pair (Ch 24) carried, plus the roster; no new bond rooted.

found_family: the arc's accreted found-family carried per the Ch-65 resolution; at the crossing home with her.
identity_hiding_status: CONCEALMENT_WITH_HOSTILE_RECOGNITION (in the world, carried; the crossing home and the door opened ride as texture; no world-facing transition staged) — her elven origin recognized (Ch 66) and the ending path locked (Ch 65), the reveal held toward the fairy-realm confrontation (the Grand Sage and thesis held Ch 76-77, the House of Velheim and the pattern held Ch 76); no cosmic-identity inflation here (she crosses home as herself).
path_states: THE ENDING PATH LOCKED (Ch 65) carried, path_bucket LOCKED; the Realm Road COMPLETED — the ninth and last otherworld (Yggdrasil) crossed, the World-Tree kept whole, the corpse-render driven back, Ragnarök deferred; the crossing into the fairy realm re-rooted and opened; the crossing register set by the locked band at FORK_CH74_A (texture, not a new lock).
realm_state: YGGDRASIL CROSSED — the Norse World-Tree tended under fire and kept whole, Níðhöggr driven back from the root (never slain), Ragnarök held off (a looming register only, never triggered), and the crossing into the game's own fairy realm RE-ROOTED and OPENED; the Thread-5 (Tree of Life / World Axis) capstone landed as structural recognition (the whole road revealed as worlds on one tree, felt never declared; the Ch-69 re-homed World-Tree catalog landing here); the Realm Road COMPLETE (Ch 66-74, all nine otherworlds crossed); the road's vril at its Realm-Road highest (the full ceiling still homed to the fairy return, Ch 75); the DOOR HOME OPEN — the protagonist stepping through into the fairy realm (Ch 75), the reveal still held until Ch 76.
Seam state-diffs (machine-checkable exit→entry assertions over ws state keys; the prose bridge stays in the transitions file)
The CH_73 → CH_74 seam (the entry pinned to Annwn's exit — Ch 73 is still v2.5, so the enum forms are authored here from its prose end-state; the facing prose lives in TRANSITIONS_CH72_77):

Decisions surfaced (pre-drafted Stage-2 canonical-question set — hard-line node)
Ch 74 is a canonical hard-line node, so the Stage-2 canonical-question set is pre-drafted below with a proposed resolution per question for Josh's sign-off batch. The reveal-ceiling re-basing and the Ariosophy firewall are the load-bearing calls. Grounded and creative-within-vision resolutions are APPLIED per the ratified re-architecture; genuine sign-off items are marked Josh-confirm.
Q1 — the HARD-LINE BASIS RE-BASE (cardinal-adjacent; Josh-confirm) — PROPOSED: Ch 74 REMAINS a hard-line node, but its basis is RE-BASED from "the patriarch reveal" (which re-homes to Ch 76 "the Two Courts") to a STRUCTURAL KEYSTONE — the only myth-native crossing into the fairy realm and the Thread-5 (Tree of Life / World Axis) capstone. The reveal content (Cassius named, the House and the pattern surfaced) moves entirely to Ch 76. Josh-confirm the re-based hard-line basis and that Ch 74 carries no reveal [SRC: T1_CVD_Creative_Vision_Document # 19.8].
Q2 — the WIN-CONDITION (keep-whole / re-root, Níðhöggr driven back not slain, Ragnarök looming-only) — RESOLVED (grounded, corpus-locked): the verb is RE-ROOT / KEEP-WHOLE / DEFEND; Níðhöggr (the tradition's own corpse-render, care-clean isfet class) is driven back from the gnawed root, never killed (the corpus never slays him — he persists to the end of Völuspá); Ragnarök is felt as a looming register only, never triggered; WIN = the tree kept whole + the crossing re-rooted + the door home opened; the Norns' water-and-white-clay tending (Gylfaginning 16) is the canonical repair mechanic. INTENSITY (applied, register-only): the drive-back is staged as a visceral fought dragon-boss — co-primary with the tending in play, not a repair-chore — with the six-named serpent-brood of Grímnismál 34 individuated as the add-class, and the felt monster-recurrence of the coil met before now wearing root-scales (held felt/undeclared, never a single-source dragon); the WIN verb (drive-back-not-slay) and the care-clean class are unchanged [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0074].
Q3 — the THREAD-5 CAPSTONE SCOPE (grounded; §17.9-sensitive, the sharpest seam) — RESOLVED (reveal-bound): Yggdrasil is Thread 5's STRUCTURAL capstone / RESOLUTION_FINAL — retro-framing the whole road as worlds on one tree; FELT through play, NEVER declared; the "one architecture / shared substrate" reading stays the ultimate thesis held to Ch 76-77, and no Ch-74 axis-image is wired to the thesis mirror-lattice. Josh-confirm the capstone is structural-and-felt, never a declared convergence [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0043].
Q4 — the ÁLFHEIM / LIGHT-ELF SEED + the fairy-realm-echo firewall (grounded; the crossing care call) — RESOLVED (per the Ch-73 precedent): Álfheim, the Ljósálfar's world on the tree, makes the elf-protagonist's crossing home myth-native by RHYME; the game's fairy realm ECHOES Álfheim but is its own game-canon dimensional space, NEVER literally Álfheim, and the honored Norse nouns stay Norse reference; no cosmic-identity inflation (she crosses home as an elf, not a destined figure) [SRC: T1_CVD_Creative_Vision_Document # 17.1].
Q5 — the ARIOSOPHY / NAZI-OCCULT / VÖLKISCH FIREWALL (the load-bearing anti-fringe call; Josh-confirm) — RESOLVED (care-critical, per AAA line 117 + CVD §19.8): Yggdrasil is rendered strictly from the medieval corpus and held Frame-A clean against the Armanist/Ariosophy lineage; the corrective is AUTHORIAL-ONLY, never a player-facing debunk; vril reads mathematical/physical/substrate and is firewalled from the "Vril Society" myth; the living inclusive Heathenry is honored and held distinct from the Folkish strands. Josh-confirm the firewall handling at its sharpest [SRC: T1_CVD_Creative_Vision_Document # 19.1].
Q6 — the REVEAL CEILING THROUGH THE LAST NODE (grounded; §17.9) — RESOLVED (per HL_0043/0046): the Realm Road leaks NO family pattern through Ch 74 — no Cassius, no House of Velheim, no 5,000-year pattern, no thesis, no Grand-Sage hint, no agent-noun / invoke-and-negate; the reveal begins at Ch 76. The mandatory reveal-discipline re-verify is run before commit [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0043].
Q7 — the NINE-WORLDS AUTHENTICITY HANDLING (grounded) — RESOLVED: the tree's boughs are populated with the sources' own named worlds (Álfheim load-bearing) as honored tradition; the "nine" is presented as the tradition's mythic number, NOT as a tidy attested roster (the sources never enumerate it) [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 24].
Q8 — MODE / INTENSITY (grounded; HL_0048/0049/0079) — RESOLVED (verified against the live Chapter_Index): dominant_combat_mode environmental (the keep-whole/re-root structure-defense) distinct from Ch 73 direct and from Ch 75 (whose un-re-cascaded row carries "direct"), the five-window (Ch 70-74) carrying five distinct modes on the spine-declared values (see the mode-variety note in the Mechanical anchors); intensity PEAK (the reserved crossing peak — Ch 71 peak, Ch 72 peak, Ch 73 standard, Ch 74 peak, and Ch 74-75-76 three consecutive peaks by design, lawful under the AMENDED HL_0048 whose peaks clause is REMOVED for Ch 70-77 — Josh RULED 2026-07-27 at the fourth sitting, the replacement pacing pattern ruled at the eighth the same day); a world-tree vertical root-to-crown agility course biome-rotated vs Meru and Annwn [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0048].
Q9 — the §17.7 NAMING-LOCK RECONCILIATION (housekeeping flag; Josh-confirm) — SURFACED: CVD §17.7 still carries "Ch 74 region name: Velheim" (the antagonist seat) alongside "Ch 74 realm name: the Nine Worlds of Yggdrasil." With the Cassius/Velheim court re-homed to Ch 76, the operative naming lock should be reconciled so the "Velheim seat" node-number points to Ch 76 (per the endgame re-cascade); recorded in docs/spine/REALM_RECASCADE_PUNCHLIST.md. Josh-confirm the reconciliation [SRC: T1_CVD_Creative_Vision_Document # 17.7].
Q10 — the BE_0074 REGISTRY-DRIFT CORRECTIONS (grounded; v3 conversion, 2026-07-15; queued for the orchestrator's serialized landing) — the v3 FK join surfaced two drifted T0_Boss_Encounter cells on BE_0074: (a) primary_verb "strike" contradicts the row's OWN engagement_modes_object cell ("RE-ROOT/KEEP-WHOLE primary") and the HL-level RE-ROOT-not-slay canon — corrected to "re-root" (CONFIDENT; the registry's own grounding and both the v2.5 boss-structure agree); (b) axis_split "45/30/25" vs the v2.5 boss-structure's "40/40/20" (co-primary re-root + drive-back, traverse tertiary) — the thin index (§9) carries the v2.5 value 40/40/20 per the join-and-type-from-source rule and the spine-authoritative-endgame discipline; BOSS_PERSONAS is NOT_FOUND for this chapter so the tie is not persona-broken, so the axis correction is queued LOWER-CONFIDENCE for the orchestrator's adjudication (the registry's own engagement_modes prose groups drive-back as secondary, consistent with 45/30/25). Both are queued for the orchestrator's serialized landing and reported in the return payload; no registry CSV is edited by this agent [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0074].
Q11 — the WS_013 cassius_velheim_state OLD-TOPOLOGY LABEL (grounded; enum-domain discipline) — RESOLVED (not propagated): the WS_013 registry row still carries the pre-re-architecture topology (domain enum a Cassius-boss-resolution ladder; notes "tracks Ch 74 outcome"; consumer "Ch74_phase_3_resolver"). Under the ratified re-architecture Cassius re-homes to Ch 76, so at Ch 74 (Yggdrasil, Cassius-free) the enum stays at its held value NOT_ENCOUNTERED — no beat writes it (the Níðhöggr resolution is not a Cassius outcome; writing it would be an enum-domain mismatch), and both seams assert NOT_ENCOUNTERED. The registry's Ch-74→Ch-76 topology reconciliation is a known RR-72 / endgame-re-cascade obligation (per the FLAG below and Q9), not corrected by this agent [SRC: T1_Integrity_Paths_Worldstates_Master # 9.2].
Q12 — THE INTENSITY RECONCILIATION AND THE TERRACE BEAT (Josh-RULED 2026-07-27, the eighth sitting; APPLIED) — the live T0_Chapter_Index cell carried intensity standard while this entry has always declared PEAK; under R-1 Pattern A (the Terraced Ascent) the spine value governs and the registry reconciles to it, in the same commit as the R3 gate re-scope. Travelling with it: the false "no three consecutive peaks or valleys, HL_0048 holds" parenthetical is repaired in both places it was stated — the peaks clause was REMOVED for Ch 70-77 at the fourth sitting of the same day, and the valleys clause is scoped within Ch 1-69 and never reached this node, so neither half of the old claim held — and the intra-chapter relief the ascent owes is authored as CH74_B10, the last quiet at the crossing-bough: boss-free and player-paced, the crossing-bough vista finally used, the raven-pair given the messenger-runs, the kit repaired and the crossing loadout set at the vril-site sanctum, satisfying the intimacy terrace (T-B) and the site terrace (T-A) and honoring the binding rider that no valley, hush, or terrace may be boring to the layer-1 player. The beat also earns the registry's mode_variety_check character=Y, which until now was asserted with no character beat in the graph [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0048] [SRC: T0_Chapter_Index @ CH_74].
FORK_CH74_A magnitude — RE-KEYED SIGNATURE→SUBSTANTIAL (batch-8 verify fix-forward, 2026-07-15): the fork ties to the primary boss BE_0074 + the homecoming crossing, matching CH_73 FORK_CH73_A and CH_75 FORK_CH75_C's magnitude ruling; SIGNATURE is reserved per the schema for the highest-magnitude signature commitments.
FLAG (for RR-72 / the Ch 75-77 re-cascade) — deferred items re-carried: (a) T1_World_Geography_Master §8/§9 not yet endgame-re-cascaded (the geography anchors point into the OLD realm content, a known consolidated-pass obligation, fidelity-gate-safe); (b) the CVD §17.7 "Ch 74 region name Velheim" naming-lock reconciliation (Q9), the WS_013 cassius_velheim_state Ch-74→Ch-76 topology reconciliation (Q11), the upstream INSC_77H "pays off at Ch 74" forward-ref (Ch 24 body + T0_Inscription_Spine) to be reconciled to "Ch 74 reads it impressionistic-and-held; thesis payoff = Ch 76-77", the CH_75 stale "(Ch 70)" fairy back-references and the CH_68/CH_69 "Ch 67 vril_management" label-drift await RR-72 correction; (c) the Thread_Grid CH_74 rows are content-edited in place and any new thread-grid row (THREAD_19/THREAD_01) is deferred to the RR-72 consolidation to avoid positional churn (see docs/spine/REALM_RECASCADE_PUNCHLIST.md).
