Chapter 63 — The Pacific: The Reef Notary and the Living Title
Story Spine entry, v3.1 beat→fork→state event graph (docs/SPINE_SCHEMA_v3.md), restructured in place from the v2.5 cascade build (the WS4 re-flesh of the Ch 59-65 counter-campaign arc), spine_status drafted. The v2.5 anchors, prose, source-anchor provenance, and reveal discipline are preserved; v3 re-shapes the site/boss/beat/side-quest/scene/state blocks into the typed machine layer (join-and-type — no new canon authored). Grounded on the enrich.py pack, the BOSS_PERSONAS Ch-63 cast (# THE PUPPETEER + # THE CONSTRUCT-KIT), the T0_Boss_Encounter BE_0063 row, the CH_02 Kelimutu-mark forward_track this node reads, and the RCM Ch 63 substrate (the Pacific revisit, RESCOPED per the 2026-07-08 coverage re-architecture from a single Pacific composite into distinct per-culture nodes — Nan Madol/Pohnpei as the existing CVD §3 Component-11 anchor, Hawaiʻi, Māori/Aotearoa, and Rapa Nui ADDED — with the counter-campaign's Pacific front and the Zealandia flood-memory lead-in as framing), the canonical BOSS_PERSONAS Ch-63 persona (Mr. Corwin Sunken-Deed "The Reef Notary"), T4_House_of_Velheim_Canonical §9.4, and a build-time deep-research pass (Nan Madol/Hawaiʻi + Māori/Rapa Nui + the heritage-listing counter-campaign/Zealandia + name screens; four agents, adversarially cited). STANDARD care-tier, but Hawaiʻi (the 1893 overthrow; Mauna Kea living-unresolved), Rapa Nui (the 1862-63 slave raids; the contested collapse narrative), and Māori/Aotearoa (the Treaty's live sovereignty question) carry ELEVATED care. This is the counter-campaign's FIFTH front — the Pacific desk — which follows the four continental desk-directors (Kannbrandt/Africa, Marrowquill/Asia, Gainsayle/Europe, Wall/Americas) but is NOT among the four that reconvene at the Ch-65 recombination-exam. Reveal-lifted (the House of Velheim nameable), but Cassius held Ch 76, the thesis and Grand Sage held Ch 77 (§17.9). The Ch 59-65 WS4 re-flesh re-tops this node — the CHARTER-LINCHPIN — with ASTRID VELLMARK-CORR, "the Puppeteer" / the vril-forcer (design-layer name; body prose renders her only "the forcer" / "the family's magic-worker"; the built name over the stale WS4 "Ilse"), the family's ONE demonstrated peer magic-fielder and the modern arc's ARMORY; win-shape MAGIC-DUEL (both docs agree) — the modern arc's FIRST peer vril-duel (force vs attunement), where the family fields its own occult operator on stage. THE REVEAL PIVOT: the unattributed forced constructs seeded across Ch 45/50/51/53/54/59 (the site-feeder, the Amazon constructs, the African turned-guardians, Ana's mara, the debt-wraiths) RESOLVE here to Corr's hand — so the arc-long \bCorr\b=0 discipline ENDS at Ch 63 (the design layer names her freely; body prose keeps the champion-epithet discipline). REVEAL CEILING (near-ceiling, load-bearing): Corr's magic must read "the family has demonstrated occult reach" (established Inner-Council canon — it is an occult power, not a law firm) WITHOUT leaking Cassius (Ch 76) / the thesis / the Grand Sage (Ch 77) — MANDATORY reveal-discipline re-verify. The desk-director Sunken-Deed's heritage-and-title front is KEPT but DEMOTED to the off-stage paper the forcing was only ever the cover for. Velheim asset: Corr FORCES the sites' own vril (the Nan Madol resonance — Construct-Kit Class 2) and wrenches the local guardians (a taniwha into a drowning-construct, driven bound aku-aku — Class 3 turned-guardians), each FREED by community+protagonist counter-attunement, NEVER appropriated, never fought-to-defeat; the most sacred presences (the huakaʻi pō Nightmarchers, Pele) are NEVER forced — they stand of their own sovereign will. LOAD-BEARING CARE: mana is NEVER the vril (honoured on its own terms, its own force); the Ropen held authorial cryptid (CR_0132, NOT authentic tradition); the taniwha CR_0131 authentic living Māori tradition; Mauna Kea / the Treaty questions left living-and-unresolved; the vril-vs-Nazi-"Vril Society" firewall on any polar/precursor bleed. No net-reduce burden (the node was puzzle_routed/attune, not a Pillar-2 rhetoric-construct). Mode puzzle_routed preserved (a direct vril-duel layered INSIDE the dominant); intensity STANDARD preserved (the duel raises the register but the tier stays standard — a full peak reserved for Ch 65; "elevated" is not a valid enum). Drafted is not canonical.

era composite — Austronesian voyaging expansion through the moai-raising and Nan Madol construction (~1180-1500 CE) through the contact and colonial eras (the 1862-63 Rapa Nui slave raids, the 1893 Hawaiian overthrow, the 1840 Treaty of Waitangi, the 1885-1951 potlatch ban) through the modern day (the Vimana controlled-time-travel band), read against the deep record [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 63].
operational type POLITICAL_ACCESS (heritage-and-title) with a PEER-MAGIC foreground — the WS4 re-flesh re-tops the node with ASTRID VELLMARK-CORR, the family's ONE demonstrated peer magic-fielder / the arc's ARMORY (FULLY_AWARE), on stage for the modern arc's FIRST peer vril-duel (win-shape MAGIC-DUEL): she FORCES the sites' own vril and wrenches the local guardians (the Nan Madol resonance, a taniwha, bound aku-aku — each FREED by community+protagonist counter-attunement), and the arc's unattributed forced constructs (Ch 45/50/51/53/54/59) RESOLVE here to her hand — the family shown to be an occult power, not a law firm; the House's Sector-6 heritage-and-title front (NW_0058, family-briefed) is KEPT but DEMOTED to the off-stage paper the forcing was only the cover for — weaponized heritage-listing, disputed deeds, and "site-management partnerships" fencing Pacific communities off their sacred places so the family could read the drowned Zealandia inscriptions undisturbed, the desk-director Sunken-Deed her demoted broker; the boss approach the peer vril-duel over a puzzle_routed heritage-siege, the PLAYABLE combat routing through Corr and her forced constructs (freed) + the demoted apparatus, never a community; REVEAL PIVOT — the attribution resolves to Corr WITHOUT leaking Cassius/thesis/Grand-Sage; mana never the vril; the patriarch absent (held Ch 76) [SRC: T4_House_of_Velheim_Canonical # 9.4] [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # THE PUPPETEER] [SRC: T0_Antagonist_Network_Registry @ NW_0058].

Continuity anchor (SSBL §9.3 — Ch 63 start state = Ch 62 end state)
The protagonist comes to the Pacific at eighteen, the young-adult plateau holding (internal age designer-only, never surfaced); age_stage Adulthood [SRC: T0_Chapter_Index @ CH_63].
Companions: the healer's child (CHAR_0002), primary companion and journal-keeper (the record public since Ch 57, and here the whole case file carried from the Americas); Ana (CHAR_0017), the melee blade; the accreted found-family carried (the Ch-42-through-62 ties, incl. the American allies Ojinjintka Win CHAR_0158 and Della Rufus CHAR_0159, rooted to their regions) [SRC: T0_Character_Index @ CHAR_0002].
Identity concealment CONCEALMENT_WITH_HOSTILE_RECOGNITION — the pressure HIGH-AND-INSTITUTIONAL: the counter-campaign reaches its FIFTH front (the Pacific heritage-and-title front, Sunken-Deed; the four continental desk-directors already met and their fronts broken, they reconvene at Ch 65 outside this Pacific desk); the patriarch still absent (held Ch 76), the thesis and Grand Sage held (Ch 77) [SRC: T4_House_of_Velheim_Canonical # 9.4].
Mastery, ability, and familiar state: the Astral Projection ability (A_C_001) carried; the Vimana carried; the Inscription discipline (Trade 9) at full mastery, central to reading Nan Madol's resonance-record and the coordinated heritage-title paperwork; the three forced Ether vril-seat bindings complete (Crown Ch 15, Third Eye Ch 38, Throat Ch 57); the three great Transformations all crossed (Physical Ch 55, Recognition Ch 57, Narrative Ch 58); Trade 10 Fishing and Navigation carried (deepened here as the Pacific wayfinding payoff); the F7 Andean Condor (Mastery), the water familiars (Shell W1, Kasa the green-sea-turtle W5, the Koi W3, the Sanur Octopus W4), and the wider roster carried; on the Truly-Good path the Child Familiar (the 22nd slot, reunited Ch 58) carried; the accumulated integrity all but at the Ch 65 lock-in [SRC: T3_Familiars_Named] [SRC: T0_Ability_Tree_Registry @ A_C_001].
Body prose
She comes to the ocean last of all the family's fronts, and finds its man here holding the one thing she did not expect anyone to think he could own: the sea itself, and the stone standing in it. He is a broker. His whole craft is title — the listing filed with the right body, the deed to a reef, the management contract that makes a foreign office the steward of a place whose people have kept it for eight hundred years — and with those papers he fences a community off its own sacred ground, quietly, lawfully, so that no one is left standing on the site when the family comes to read what lies drowned beneath it. He calls it protection. He signs himself, without a flicker, the notary of what the ocean already owns.
He is fluent, genial, and has never once set foot on a reef he claims to keep. He treats the sixty-six years a northern coast's great ceremony spent banned by law not as an atrocity but as a precedent, a thing that worked, and that single tell is the whole of him: he is not a steward, he is the old fence in a new coat. His leverage is paper, and paper has one weakness, which is that it is always younger than the water. Every deed he holds was filed onto a sea that was named, sung, and governed long before the first surveyor drew a line on it — a living jurisdiction his title does not predate but merely papers over. And she has come to the one coast where that can be proven not by argument but by reading.
But the paper, this time, was only ever the cover. Beneath the broker and his listings the family has done a thing it has not done once on the whole long road: it has sent one of its own — not a lawyer, not a fixer, not a fence, but a worker of the very power she has spent her life learning — to take what the fence was cleared to make room for. And in the moment she meets her, the whole road behind turns over and reads differently. The site that curdled under the great mound-city; the thing in the drowned Amazon that should not have had teeth; the guardians of the African rivers turned against their own descendants; the night-terror bound onto Ana in the Balkan dark; the debt made a haunting on the plains — one hand. One signature worked into all of it, felt at a dozen sites and never once placed, and here at last it wears a face: the family's own magic-worker, its forcer, unattributed until this moment and now standing on the stones in front of her. Whatever else the family is, it is not, and was never only, a house of lawyers. It is an occult power, and it has just shown its hand.
For what the forcer does is force. Where the protagonist attunes — asks the site, the guardian, the substrate, and waits to be answered — the forcer wrenches: takes a place's own accreted power and bends it into a weapon, seizes a river-guardian and turns it into a drowning-thing, drives the bound dead of an island against the living who still keep their names. She has come to the basalt city first and made of it her weapon: a city built on ninety-two islets in a lagoon, its walls raised of natural basalt columns rafted stone by stone across the reef and stacked without mortar into a place the Pohnpeian people still hold and still govern, its stone holding the same deep resonance the protagonist has attuned from the Andes to the cedars of Lebanon — the site's own testimony to its own keeping. The forcer has wrenched that resonance, forced the city's own true deed into a snarl meant to keep every keeper out, so that the one thing that would prove the community's title is turned into the thing barring them from it. And so the fight is the first of its kind on all the road: not paper and not procedure but power set against power, the forcer's forcing against the protagonist's attunement. She cannot out-force a forcer; that is not how her gift works, and not who she is. So she does the only thing she has ever done. She reads the forcing-mark wound through the wrenched resonance, and with the Pohnpeian custodian beside her — his people's unbroken keeping the truest counter there is — she counter-attunes and frees what was forced. The city's resonance, released, answers again as it always did, and that answer is the true deed: the site testifying to its own keeping in a register no listing office and no forcing can file against. She appropriates none of it; it goes back whole to the keepers it was taken from. And the broker's paper, set beside a living title spoken, a resonance freed, and a people who never left, is revealed for the fraud it is — a deed entered against an owner who was never absent.
She carries it to the other waters. On the far southeastern rock she comes to the Rapa Nui, a people whose ancestors raised nearly a thousand stone figures and walked them upright across the island on ropes, and who carved a writing no one now can read — a script that fell silent for a reason she holds with both hands: raiders came in the eighteen-sixties and carried off the king and the very people who kept the letters, and a sickness came behind them, and a whole island of knowledge was very nearly ended by hands that were not its own. She does not pretend to read the letters they left; she honors that they cannot be read, and that the people who made them are not gone but standing here, having lately taken the keeping of their own listed island back into their own hands — the plainest proof there is that a community is the steward the paper only imitates. And where the forcer had driven the island's bound dead — the aku-aku — against the living who still speak their names, she reads the binding and cuts it and lets them lie back down; the forcing was the crime, and the dead were only ever its victims. In the long-clouded south she stands with a Māori kaitiaki of forest and river on a coast where the law has begun, at last, to say a thing the broker cannot answer: that a river can be a person, an ancestor with standing, a living title no deed outranks. The forcer had reached here too and wrenched a taniwha of that river — a guardian, dual-natured and old — into a drowning-thing set against the very people it was raised to watch; and the protagonist frees it, the kaitiaki's own unbroken bond with it the counter, and the taniwha is a guardian again, never a trophy and never hers. And on the islands of aloha she walks among Kānaka Maoli wayfinders who cross open ocean by star and swell and bird, whose queen once yielded her kingdom under protest to a force she could not meet and spent her imprisonment setting her people's creation-chant into the conqueror's language so it would not be lost; and when the marching dead of the old nights, the huakaʻi pō, come down the ridge, they come not forced and not bound but of their own sovereign will, walking beside the protectors of the mountain — a thing far older than the family and not hers nor its to command, and she stands aside for them the way the living stand aside. And she leaves the mountain they are still, right now, standing to protect exactly as she finds it — a fight that is theirs, unfinished, and not hers to end.
She reads the drowned ridge beneath all of it — the great sunken shelf the maps have only lately owned is a continent, its stone continuous under the whole of these seas — and feels it as the next thing waiting, the water that will be crossed properly on the crossing after this one. The mana the islands carry, the force in a chief and a canoe and a mountain, she meets as kin to the current she has followed her whole life — its own people's name for its own force, running alongside what she knows and never a lesser word for it — and leaves it standing in its own house, honored and not annexed. The fifth front is broken, the sites left in the hands that always kept them.
Threads advancing
Thread 1 (Vril Parallels), ESCALATION — the deep-past vril-gathering sites recalled at full mastery (Stonehenge, Delphi) set beside Nan Madol's Component-11 resonance, the basalt city read as the same convergent substrate she has attuned from Sacsayhuamán to Baalbek; AND mana, the Polynesian/Micronesian force in chief, canoe, and mountain, taken as the Pacific member of the vril-parallel catalog (after Ch 57's songline and Ch 62's wakȟáŋ) — honored on its own terms as a living concept, NEVER reduced to or "explained" as the game's vril (the naming-confirmation flagged for RR-72, parity with the Ch-62 wakȟáŋ handling) [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 1] [SRC: T0_Thread_Grid @ THREAD_01].
Thread 2 (The Serpent), NOT_PRESENT — a canonical no-anchor cell (ruled batch-1 #10; the Ch 33 / Ch 34-37 precedent): the substrate carries no Ch-63 serpent anchor, and none is invented [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 2] [SRC: T0_Thread_Grid @ THREAD_02].
Thread 3 (Antagonist Family Pattern), ANCHOR + REVEAL PIVOT — the family fields its OWN magic-worker (Astrid Vellmark-Corr, the vril-forcer / the arc's armory) for the first peer vril-duel, and the unattributed forced constructs seeded across Ch 45/50/51/53/54/59 RESOLVE here to her hand — the family shown to be an occult power, not a house of lawyers; the demoted heritage-and-title front (weaponized heritage-listing, disputed title, management-concession fencing — Sunken-Deed's Pacific desk) the paper the forcing was only the cover for, succeeding the four continental fronts; the FIFTH desk (the Pacific), which follows the four continental directors but is NOT among the four that reconvene at the Ch-65 recombination-exam; the reveal reads "the family has demonstrated occult reach" WITHOUT leaking Cassius/thesis/Grand-Sage; the family nameable, the patriarch still absent (held Ch 76) [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 3] [SRC: T0_Thread_Grid @ THREAD_03] [SRC: T4_House_of_Velheim_Canonical # 9.4].
Thread 4 (Flood Memory), ANCHOR (build-derived; the §8 Ch-63 index carries Threads 1/3/4/17) — Zealandia / Te Riu-a-Māui, the real submerged continental shelf (Mortimer 2017), felt as the drowned ridge beneath the whole Pacific and read as the flood-memory LEAD-IN toward the Ch-64 underwater-sites payoff (the full submerged-civilization dive is Ch 64, not front-run here); LINK_0047 (the Zealandia submerged-continent motif) originates here toward CH_68 [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 4] [SRC: T0_Cross_Cultural_Link_Graph @ LINK_0047].
Thread 17 (Sacred Languages / Scripts), ANCHOR (build-derived; §8 index) — rongorongo, the undeciphered Rapa Nui script, read at the script-LIMIT register (a Thread-17 peer to the Ch-14 Meroitic and Ch-16 Indus undeciphered scripts): its calendrical/genealogical structure perceptible, its text unreadable, honored as an apparently independent invention of writing and NEVER given a fantasy "translation"; the reason it fell silent (the 1862-63 abduction of the literate elite) held with gravity [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 17].
Thread 18 (Sacred Mountains / Axis Locations), ANCHOR — the Pacific megalithic-and-axis register: Nan Madol's basalt city and the moai/ahu as the sacred-axis megaliths of these seas, and Mauna Kea as the sacred summit (the sky-father Wākea's mountain, a living piko) — set beside the deep-past gathering sites as Thread-1's sacred-mountain face; the Thread_Grid cell's stale "European megalithic accumulation" descriptor corrected in-prose to the Pacific megaliths, flagged for the living-source cleanup [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 18] [SRC: T0_Thread_Grid @ THREAD_18].
Major-thread coverage note — Ch 63 advances Major Thread 1, 3, and 18 (grid-rowed) plus build-derived Thread 4 and 17 (the §8 Ch-63 index); Thread 2 is a canonical no-anchor cell; the remaining Major Threads carry no Ch-63 grid anchor, permitted per D-19, flagged for RR-72 [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 2].
Civilizational marks (the builders-of-knowledge layer, §9.5 mandatory)
Micronesian engineering and continuous governance — Nan Madol, one of Oceania's largest megalithic complexes: ~92 artificial islets and engineered tidal canals ("the spaces between"), an estimated 750,000+ tons of naturally prismatic basalt quarried, rafted ~25 km by sea, and dry-stacked in a header-and-stretcher pattern without metal, wheel, draft animal, or mortar; the seat of the Saudeleur dynasty, which McCoy et al. (2016, U-Th dating ~AD 1180-1200) identify as the earliest direct evidence of a centralized chiefdom in the Pacific; and the Nahnmwarki paramount-chief system that succeeded it and remains a LIVING institution owning and keeping the site (UNESCO 2016, the first World Heritage site in the Federated States of Micronesia) — the builders the ancestors of living Pohnpeians, and the wider Carolinian maritime world Pohnpei belongs to, with the specifically Satawalese wayfinding lineage (Mau Piailug of Satawal) that later re-seeded the whole Pacific wayfinding revival [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 63] [SRC: SCIENCE_GROUNDING].
Polynesian wayfinding and Hawaiian cosmology — a complete non-instrument navigational science (the star compass, swell refraction, cloud and bird signs) that deliberately settled the largest ocean on Earth, consciously revived through the Hōkūleʻa voyages (1976 onward) and the pwo initiation, seeded from Micronesia to Polynesia; and the Kumulipo, the 2,102-line, sixteen-era Hawaiian creation-genealogy ordering all life from the coral polyp upward to the chiefly line — a synthesis of cosmology, natural history, and descent, printed by Kalākaua and translated into English by Queen Liliʻuokalani during her imprisonment (a work of preservation under duress) [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 63] [SRC: SIGNIFICANCE_LENSES].
Māori knowledge systems and living jurisprudence — whakapapa (layered genealogy binding people to ancestors and to mountains, rivers, and forests) and kaitiakitanga (guardianship as reciprocal obligation to te taiao); the wharenui that encodes a founding ancestor as a building; the te-reo revival seeded by the kōhanga-reo (language-nest) model, a globally influential template for Indigenous language revitalization; the Treaty of Waitangi (1840) and the Waitangi Tribunal as an evolving bicultural constitutional framework; and the world-first legal-personhood jurisprudence (Te Awa Tupua / the Whanganui River, 2017; Te Urewera, 2014) recognizing a river and a forest as rights-holding living entities — an Indigenous conceptual innovation now written into statute and studied worldwide [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 63] [SRC: ESOTERIC_GROUNDING].
Rapa Nui achievement and resilience — the moai and ahu (~900-1000 statues carved from Rano Raraku tuff, several ahu astronomically aligned) and the logistics of moving them upright by rope-teams ("walking," strongly supported though the transport debate is not unanimously closed); rongorongo, an apparently independent invention of writing (one of very few in human history); the 2024 ancient-DNA evidence of a stably growing population from the 13th century to European contact (with ~10% Indigenous-American admixture dated ~1250-1430, evidence of Rapanui-led transoceanic reach) — the mark of a resilient, self-determining society; and the Ma'u Henua community's reclamation of the self-administration of its own World Heritage park (2016-2018), heritage held as a living, governed inheritance and oral custodial title treated as legitimate title beside the written deed [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 63] [SRC: SCIENCE_GROUNDING].
Everything-woven (the twelve facets, each a real presence, none name-checked)
Combat is the peer vril-duel and the freeing of the forced — the modern arc's FIRST peer magic-fight: read the forcer's forcing-marks (vril-forensics the whole method), and against her forcing (force vs attunement, Rift Instability) counter-attune each wrenched thing and FREE it — the forced Nan Madol site-vril (Class 2, restored to the site), the wrenched taniwha and the driven bound aku-aku (Class 3 turned-guardians, freed to their communities), never fought-to-defeat and never appropriated, the community's own true keeping standing beside the protagonist; the demoted heritage-title apparatus (the listing-and-title siege worked puzzle-forward, the community's lawful counters — reclaimed self-administration, FPIC, living-personhood title — turning the paper against itself) the political layer beneath; the sub-encounters route through the forcer's forced constructs (freed), a heritage-bureaucracy front, and a recalled colonial enforcer (oppressor-apparatus, never a community) — the sacred sites and the most sacred beings (the huakaʻi pō, Pele) NEVER a combat target and never forced [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0063].
Exploration is the Pacific — the basalt canals of Nan Madol, the volcanic islands and open ocean of Polynesia (Hawaiʻi's shores and sacred summit, Aotearoa's coasts and forests, Rapa Nui's slopes and quarry), and the felt deep water of Zealandia beneath [SRC: T1_World_Geography_Master # Ch 63].
Discovery (the family's fifth front made of title; the site testifying to its own keeping; the drowned continent felt beneath); puzzles (the listing-and-title maze; the reef-approach wayfinding set-piece; Nan Madol's resonance read as the true deed); mystery (whom the family will still not send — the patriarch an absence, held Ch 76; the one thing under everything the recall points toward) [SRC: T4_House_of_Velheim_Canonical # 9.4].
Lore (the Nan Madol archaeology and the Nahnmwarki keeping; Polynesian wayfinding and the Kumulipo; Māori jurisprudence and the Treaty; the Rapa Nui statues, script, and reclamation); trades (Trade 10 Fishing and Navigation deepened as the Pacific wayfinding payoff; the Inscription discipline at full mastery reading Nan Madol's resonance-record); gathering (the sites left in the communities' hands, the fifth front broken) [SRC: T1_Trades_Master # 10].
Side quests (the heritage-fraud paper trail unmade; the wayfinding reef-crossing; the undeciphered script honored at its limit); engineering (the basalt-canal city, the walked moai, the wayfinding science as documented achievements); folklore (the living Pacific supernatural world made real and playable — the taniwha as a living Māori water-guardian tradition [CR_0131], the Rapa Nui aku-aku, the Hawaiian huakaʻi pō Nightmarchers and Pele and the moʻo lizard-guardians, Nan Madol's guardian-spirits and sacred eel — honored on their own terms; the wrenched ones freed, the most sacred never forced; the modern Ropen island-cryptid claim held AUTHORIALLY [CR_0132], NOT authentic Indigenous tradition); superstition (precisely the broker's instrument — the pretense that a paper title can outrank a living jurisdiction that named and kept the sea first, undone by the site read whole, the forced guardians freed, and the community's own title turned back) [SRC: T1_CVD_Creative_Vision_Document # 17.1].
Key sites and spatial layout
Story-load-bearing sites, each having cleared a significance lens and the §4 relevance filter; geography anchors to the World Geography Master, never the RCM [SRC: T1_World_Geography_Master # Ch 63] [SRC: SIGNIFICANCE_LENSES].
Typed v3.1 site rows (§3b) — beats reference these by site_id; the environmental detail rides each row as env texture.
env: the basalt-column city on ~92 artificial islets and tidal canals, Madol Powe's mortuary precinct (Nandauwas) sacred ground never a dungeon and Madol Pah's administrative sector; the Component-11 resonance node (VS_CH63_001) attuned as the true deed, the site's testimony to its own keeping; the Saudeleur/Nahnmwarki builders audit-only and reverenced, the Pohnpeian custodian a gatekeeper-ally never a target; hosts CH63_B02/CH63_B03/CH63_B04/CH63_B09; L1/L2/L3.
env: the ahu and the Rano Raraku moai-quarry, the reclaimed-heritage administration, and the rongorongo record read at its undeciphered limit; the moai the ancestors' work never ancient-alien spectacle, the 1862-63 slave-raid history at witness-depth, the living Rapa Nui never a target; hosts CH63_B05; L1/L2.
env: the Orongo ceremonial village on the Rano Kau crater rim with its birdman petroglyphs, the sheer crater wall, the shark-crossed strait, and the Motu Nui islet seabird colony; the OPT-IN tangata-manu athletic feat staged fun-but-witness on the keepers' own terms, the sacred kingship-investiture and the creator-god Makemake reverenced and never awarded, the sacred manutara honored (distinct from the ally Kena's ordinary seabird name); hosts CH63_B06; L1/L2.
env: a Māori coast, marae, and river — the kaitiaki, the living-personhood title (a river a person, an ancestor with standing no deed outranks), and the taniwha (CR_0131) freed of the forcing; the wharenui referenced with reverence never reproduced, the Treaty question left living-and-unresolved; hosts CH63_B07; L1/L2.
env: the Hawaiian shore and wayfinding waters and the sacred summit Mauna Kea (held living-and-unresolved); the Kānaka Maoli wayfinders and kiaʻi honored as allies-in-parallel, the queen's Kumulipo translation held with gravity, the huakaʻi pō coming of their own sovereign will and never forced; hosts CH63_B08; L1/L2.
env: the listing offices, disputed-deed records, and management-concession paperwork the broker fences the sites with — the demoted paper the forcing was only the cover for; the composite institutional office of lawful levers that loses on-screen, the antisemitism guardrail held; hosts CH63_B01/CH63_B10/CH63_B11; L1.
env: the felt drowned continental shelf of Zealandia / Te Riu-a-Māui (Mortimer 2017) beneath the whole Pacific — the flood-memory lead-in felt never dived (the full dive held for Ch 64), LINK_0047 originating toward CH_68; hosts CH63_B12; L1/L3.
Inter-chapter travel — arrival by the Vimana continental-revisit band (from the Ch-62 Americas front); departure aboard the Vimana toward the Ch-64 Underwater Sites, the Zealandia ridge felt as the next crossing [SRC: T1_World_Geography_Master # Ch 63].
Boss structure (§9 thin join index — phases are beats; the narrative lives in the beat graph)
Sub-bosses across different threads feed one main boss; every fight is blended, primary-and-secondary-verb, three-axis, with phase escalation that evolves the moveset (HL_0078), and a reward on win and on death per the T1_Combat failure-states rule; the WS4 re-top makes this the modern arc's FIRST peer vril-duel (force vs attunement) [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0078] [SRC: T1_Combat_System_Spec].
BE_0063 "The Forcer's Duel — Astrid Vellmark-Corr, the vril-forcer (design-layer name; body prose renders her the forcer / the family's magic-worker)" · primary PERCEIVE · secondary ATTUNE · axis 30/35/35 (tertiary PURGE) · phases [P1→CH63_B03, P2→CH63_B04, P3→CH63_B09] · win {the forcer broken as a champion — not killed, not a body on the stones — the forced constructs freed and the fifth front down → ws.antagonist_operational_state_per_region: pacific_fifth_front_broken} · death {the Hades loop — her forcing persists and the family learns the protagonist fields peer power, no fail-wall} [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # THE PUPPETEER] [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0063]
sub-bosses (each a beat, each a family-forced construct FREED and never appropriated, never fought-to-defeat): BE_0063_S1 the Forced Nan Madol Resonance (Construct-Kit Class 2 forced site-vril — the basalt city's own Component-11 resonance wrenched into a snarl, counter-attuned and RESTORED whole to the site, the Pohnpeian custodian's unbroken keeping the counter; the builders audit-only) → CH63_B04 · BE_0063_S2 the Turned Taniwha Drowning-Construct (Class 3 turned-guardian, CR_0131 authentic living Māori tradition — freed by cutting the forcing, the kaitiaki's own bond the counter, restored to its guarding) → CH63_B07 · BE_0063_S3 the Driven Bound Aku-Aku (Class 3 turned-guardian — the island's bound dead freed and let to lie back down, the 1862-63 slave-raid history at witness-depth never gamified, framed via Rapa Nui's own tradition) → CH63_B05 [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # THE CONSTRUCT-KIT]
demoted apparatus (not a boss row): the desk-director Mr. Corwin Sunken-Deed "The Reef Notary" (NW_0058) demoted to the off-stage heritage-and-title paper the forcing was only the cover for — the FIFTH Pacific desk, which follows the four continental directors but is NOT among the four that reconvene at the Ch-65 recombination-exam; its ambient sub-encounters (the Listing Officer, a heritage-bureaucracy front locking the reef and potlatch grounds behind management paperwork; Agent Amberley, a 1920s potlatch-ban enforcer read in a time-fluctuation strand and resisted beside the Kwakwaka'wakw hosts, oppressor-apparatus per Ruling 5, carrying the Ch-62 potlatch thread forward) route the demoted heritage-siege at CH63_B10, never a community [SRC: T0_Antagonist_Network_Registry @ NW_0058]
reveal binding: the forcer's attribution RESOLVES here — the unattributed forced constructs seeded Ch 45/50/51/53/54/59 are shown to be one hand; the reveal reads "the family has demonstrated occult reach" and holds there, never leaking Cassius (Ch 76), the thesis, or the Grand Sage (Ch 77); the most sacred presences (the huakaʻi pō Nightmarchers, Pele) are NEVER forced and never a target, standing of their own sovereign will; mana is never the vril [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # THE PUPPETEER].

Tihpen Umandal (CHAR_0160) — a Pohnpeian cultural custodian of Madolenihmw, the district that holds Nan Madol; the gatekeeper-ally who grants the Component-11 resonance-reading and carries the wider Carolinian maritime tradition Pohnpei shares, a fictional composite, self-naming, present-tense; the sacred Nahnmwarki title and the culture-heroes (Olisihpa/Olosohpa, Isokelekel) referenced with reverence and never worn as a personal name (the name attested ordinary Pohnpeian name-stock, clear of the chiefly/sacred title-stock and the prominent-family surnames) [SRC: T0_Character_Index @ CHAR_0160] [SRC: NAMING_METHOD].
Rāwiri (CHAR_0161) — a Māori kaitiaki (guardian) of a coast and river in Aotearoa, who carries the living-title concept (kaitiakitanga and the legal-personhood jurisprudence) that answers the broker's paper; a fictional composite, self-naming, single-named to avoid colliding with a real iwi/whānau name (an extremely common ordinary te-reo given name, clear of the atua and of prominent leaders) [SRC: T0_Character_Index @ CHAR_0161] [SRC: NAMING_METHOD].
Kena (CHAR_0162) — a Rapa Nui heritage-keeper of the reclaimed-administration generation, who welcomes the player and holds the moai, the reclaimed park, and the undeciphered script; a fictional composite, self-naming, single-named (an ordinary Rapa Nui seabird nature-name — pointedly NOT the sacred manutara of the birdman cult — clear of the ariki title, the founding ancestor Hotu Matuʻa, the creator-god Makemake, and the real clan surnames) [SRC: T0_Character_Index @ CHAR_0162] [SRC: NAMING_METHOD].
Carried: the healer's child (CHAR_0002), co-witness and journal-keeper (the whole case file carried from the Americas); Ana (CHAR_0017), the melee blade; the accreted found-family (the Ch-42-through-62 ties); the Hawaiian wayfinders and kiaʻi (protectors) honored as allies-in-parallel (no single fictional companion imposed on Hawaiʻi — the living-and-unresolved struggles held as the communities' own); the familiars, inviolate [SRC: T0_Character_Index @ CHAR_0002].
Real persons audit-only, running alongside the fictional House as historical grounding — Queen Liliʻuokalani (her dignity, her "under protest" yielding, her Kumulipo translation held with gravity), Nainoa Thompson and Mau Piailug (the wayfinding revival), the Nan Madol scholars (Ayres, Athens, McCoy, Hanlon, Riesenberg, the Pohnpeian archaeologist Rufino Mauricio), the moai-transport and collapse-debate scholars (Hunt, Lipo, Van Tilburg; Diamond held as contested), and the culture-heroes (Olisihpa/Olosohpa, Isokelekel) — never recast as the family's agents [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 63].

Protected-chapter / living-culture framing (§17.1, standard tier with elevated-care sub-nodes)
Ch 63 depicts living Pohnpeian (Micronesian), Kānaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian), Māori, and Rapa Nui peoples, and carries the Pacific-Northwest (Kwakwaka'wakw) potlatch thread forward from Ch 62; Hawaiʻi, Rapa Nui, and Māori/Aotearoa carry ELEVATED care. Every culture self-names (Pohnpeian, of Madolenihmw and Pohnpei — never colonial "Ponape" for the modern place; Kānaka Maoli / Native Hawaiian, with correct ʻokina and kahakō — Hawaiʻi, Liliʻuokalani, Mauna Kea, Hōkūleʻa; Māori / tangata whenua, macronized te reo; Rapa Nui), rendered present-tense as living peoples, never "vanished/vanishing islanders," noble-savage, or generic "Pacific islander" flattening — and Micronesia and Polynesia are held DISTINCT, never merged into one culture [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0006]. The living faithful, custodians, and communities are NEVER combat targets — the combat routes through the forcer (Astrid Vellmark-Corr, the family's magic-worker) and her forced constructs (freed not slain), plus the demoted heritage-and-title apparatus, its bureaucracy front, and a recalled colonial enforcer (HL_0003, HL_0004). The WS4 re-flesh re-tops the node with the family's own vril-forcer (the reveal pivot): her FORCED constructs — the wrenched Nan Madol site-vril, the turned taniwha, the driven aku-aku — are the fought things, each a VICTIM of the forcing FREED and restored by community+protagonist counter-attunement, NEVER appropriated, never fought-to-defeat, never portrayed as evil; the MOST SACRED presences (the huakaʻi pō Nightmarchers, Pele) are NEVER forced and never a combat target — they stand of their own sovereign will; mana stays its own force (a Thread-1 parallel, never the vril); the vril reads mathematical/physical (the Vril-Society firewall, acute at any polar/precursor bleed). REVEAL CEILING: the forcer's fight reveals only "the family has demonstrated occult reach" (established Inner-Council canon) — it does NOT surface Cassius (Ch 76), the thesis, or the Grand Sage (Ch 77). The CVD Component-11 anchor binds: the Nan Madol builders (the Saudeleur dynasty, the twin culture-heroes Olisihpa/Olosohpa, the liberator Isokelekel) are the sacred tradition of a living people, AUDIT-ONLY — reverenced, never rendered as bosses, monsters, or villains; the Pohnpeian oral tradition of the sorcerer-brothers who flew the stones is presented AS living tradition in the culture's own voice, never asserted as literal engineering and never used to imply the real builders could not have done the work themselves; the mortuary precinct (Nandauwas) is sacred ground, not a dungeon. Sacred chant and site are referenced never reproduced: the Kumulipo (and other sacred chants) are evoked and credited, never reproduced verbatim or staged as a mechanic; Mauna Kea and Nan Madol's mortuary islets are sacred ground, not loot backdrops. The 1862-63 Peruvian slave raids on Rapa Nui (the abduction of the king and the rongorongo-literate elite, the smallpox and tuberculosis behind them, the crash to ~110 survivors) are held with maximum gravity, the near-annihilation an EXTERNAL catastrophe, never aestheticized or used as mystery-flavour; the 1893 overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom is held as the illegal, coerced dispossession the U.S. government itself acknowledged (Blount Report 1893; the 1993 Apology Resolution), centering Liliʻuokalani's dignity and Native Hawaiian agency, never neutralized into bloodless "annexation." Mauna Kea/TMT and the Treaty-of-Waitangi sovereignty question are LIVING, UNRESOLVED struggles led by their own peoples (the kiaʻi; the iwi and the Tribunal) — referenced as present and contested, never fictionally "resolved," trivialized, or taken a dismissive stance toward. Rongorongo is honored as an authentic undeciphered script and never given a fantasy translation. The Pacific-Northwest potlatch carryforward holds the ban (1885-1951) and the Dan Cranmer raid and confiscations with gravity, the regalia repatriated (U'mista), the crest designs owned lineage property referenced never reproduced. mana is held as a real, sophisticated living Pacific concept on its own terms, a Thread-1 vril-PARALLEL only as respectful resonance, NEVER reduced to, absorbed by, or "explained" as the game's vril. The counter-campaign is a composite institutional office using documented, lawful levers (heritage-listing, deeds, management concessions, buffer zones, consent-evasion — the fortress-conservation capture pattern) bounded in scope, that LOSES and is COUNTERED on-screen (the reclaimed self-administration, FPIC, the living-personhood title, repatriation) — never the antisemitic "secret cabal / parasitic broker controls the world through paper and finance" trope, and free of its ethnic, religious, or coded markers. Real persons are audit-only. The §17.9 reveal discipline binds: the family is nameable, Cassius held Ch 76, the thesis and Grand Sage Ch 77 [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0043] [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0109].
Anti-fringe / Frame-A flags
The heritage-broker without the antisemitic canard (the load-bearing guardrail) — at-risk failure: rendering the "heritage broker / notary who fences people off their land via paper title and finance" as an ethnically-coded parasitic middleman or a hidden cabal that covertly "controls everything through paper and money" (the economic-antisemitism trope — the financier/usurer, the "rootless cosmopolitan," the court-Jew, the secret-cabal conspiracy; HL_0109), with dogwhistles, or as an omnipotent office that always wins. Canonical framing: authorial discipline — the campaign is a COMPOSITE INSTITUTIONAL OFFICE defined by role and LAWFUL LEVERS only (heritage-listing, disputed deeds, management concessions, buffer zones, consent-evasion — the documented fortress-conservation capture pattern), with ZERO ethnic/religious/coded markers, bounded in scope, that MUST lose and be countered on-screen (the Ma'u Henua reclaimed self-administration, free-prior-informed-consent, the Whanganui/Te-Urewera living-personhood title, the U'mista repatriation); the evil is a REGIME and a METHOD, never a bloodline or a people; downstream-authoring discipline — the broker's absenteeism reads always as INSTITUTIONAL DISTANCE (the absentee bureaucrat, the distant listing-office, the heir of the colonial Indian-Agent lineage), never as "rootless / belongs nowhere / attached to no land," and is always paired with the Western/colonial-lineage marker (T4 §498/506; the explicit antisemitism guardrail) [SRC: T4_House_of_Velheim_Canonical # 11] [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0109].
Nan Madol and Zealandia pseudo-archaeology — at-risk claim: attributing Nan Madol to a lost continent (Lemuria, Mu, an "Atlantis of the Pacific"), a vanished white race, giants, or ancient aliens; conflating Zealandia (a real thinned, submerged Gondwana continental fragment — Mortimer 2017) with a "drowned lost civilization"; or treating natural prismatic basalt as an anomalous manufactured material. Canonical framing: authorial-only; Nan Madol is documented human engineering (quarried natural columnar basalt, sea-rafting, dry-stone stacking) by the ancestors of living Pohnpeians (occupation ~1st-2nd c. CE, monumental construction ~AD 1180-1200, McCoy 2016); Zealandia is real geology with no sunken cities; the game's own L3 "underwater inscription" is explicitly the game's fiction and is never presented as a real Zealandia or archaeological claim — all shown player-facing as wonder and the vril/precursor felt, never a debunk [SRC: SCIENCE_GROUNDING] [SRC: ESOTERIC_GROUNDING].
The Rapa Nui "ecocide/collapse" narrative and the moai — at-risk claim: presenting the "they destroyed themselves / mysteriously vanished" self-collapse story as settled fact; attributing the moai or rongorongo to aliens, a lost white race, or Heyerdahl-style South-American master-builders; or framing the near-extinction as self-inflicted. Canonical framing: authorial-only; the moai, ahu, and rongorongo are the ancestors' human achievement; the collapse-as-settled framing is CONTESTED (rat-driven deforestation evidence, and 2024 ancient DNA showing a stably growing pre-contact population — scholars call the ecocide story part of a colonial narrative); the true catastrophe was EXTERNAL (the 1862-63 slave raids, imported disease, colonial dispossession); the Rapa Nui are a living, self-determining people — all shown player-facing as living presence, never a debunk [SRC: SCIENCE_GROUNDING] [SRC: ESOTERIC_GROUNDING].
The fortress-conservation and terra-nullius tropes — at-risk claim: framing conservation itself as the villain, or Indigenous peoples as harmful to their environment; or treating the Pacific as an "empty ocean" a deed could lawfully claim. Canonical framing: authorial-only; the harm is the documented WEAPONIZATION of conservation/heritage paperwork (access-fencing, revenue capture, consent-denial — the fortress-conservation capture pattern), a correctable failure-state, not conservation itself; Indigenous stewardship is centered as the effective keeping; the Pacific was a populated, navigated, named, governed seascape long before any deed, so the paper post-dates a living jurisdiction and the narrative says so; real institutions (UNESCO, IUCN, ICOMOS, state agencies) appear as complicit-in-effect in specific documented cases AND as reformable, never cartooned [SRC: SCIENCE_GROUNDING].
Three-layer surfacing
L1 self-contained: a peer magic-duel and Pacific voyage — win the modern arc's first peer vril-duel (force vs attunement), free the forcer's forced things (the Nan Madol resonance restored as the true deed, the wrenched taniwha and driven aku-aku freed with the community), cross the reef by wayfinding, stand with the Pohnpeian, Māori, and Rapa Nui keepers, honor the undeciphered script and the drowned ridge, and — the political layer beneath — turn the community's lawful counters so the demoted access-fence unmakes itself; a real attunement-and-duel loop complete on its own, the combat through the forcer and her forced constructs (freed) and the recalled enforcer, never a community and never the sacred beings [SRC: T0_Boss_Encounter_Registry @ BE_0063].
L2 investigatable: the Pacific's documented record — Nan Madol's engineering and the Nahnmwarki keeping; Polynesian wayfinding and the Kumulipo; Māori whakapapa, kaitiakitanga, the Treaty, and the living-personhood jurisprudence; the Rapa Nui statues, script, resilience (2024 aDNA), and reclamation; the potlatch carryforward; and the Zealandia geology — read via the Inscription discipline at full mastery and the Trade-10 wayfinding [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 63].
L3 metaphysical-as-real, never declared: Nan Madol's basalt really does hold the same convergent Component-11 resonance she has read from the Andes to Baalbek — the site testifying to its own keeping, the true deed the paper cannot outrank (felt at full-mastery attunement, never declared, never extracted); the drowned Zealandia ridge really is felt beneath the whole Pacific as the next water to be crossed (impressionistic, the full dive held for Ch 64); the hidden-inscription fragment really is one more piece of the long spine (§17.9-held); mana is NOT the vril and is never treated as such (its own force, honoured on its own terms, never annexed); the family's occult reach is real and, here, DEMONSTRATED — its own magic-worker on stage, the arc's unattributed forcings resolving to her hand (the reveal held precisely at "the family is an occult power," never a step past it); the forcer's FORCING and the protagonist's ATTUNEMENT are two real and opposite ways of touching the same current (consumption vs alignment), the freeing the win; and a living jurisdiction really does outrank a younger paper title — the keeping restored to the communities, not the metaphysics settled; nothing of the thesis is spoken, no Grand-Sage hint given, the patriarch felt as an absence (HL_0043/HL_0046) [SRC: ESOTERIC_GROUNDING] [SRC: T0_Hard_Lines @ HL_0043].

Ch 63 surfaced these decisions; the grounded and creative-within-vision ones are resolved inline with reasoning shown (Josh-override-able at RR-72). This is a standard-care node (with elevated-care sub-nodes); no Stage-2 canonical-question batch is required.
The RESCOPE (Pacific composite → per-culture nodes) — APPLIED per the Josh-approved 2026-07-08 coverage re-architecture (EXPANDED_COVERAGE_MAP C3/C5; COVERAGE_REARCHITECTURE D4): Nan Madol (the existing Component-11 anchor), Hawaiʻi, Māori/Aotearoa, and Rapa Nui (ADDED) authored as distinct L1/L2 nodes under the Pacific-revisit anchor, each given genuine weight to avoid the coverage §4.6 "one overloaded composite" tokenism risk, with the Zealandia flood-memory lead-in and the counter-campaign's Pacific front as framing [SRC: EXPANDED_COVERAGE_MAP].
The Sunken-Deed persona — ADOPTED from the canonical BOSS_PERSONAS Ch-63 cast (Mr. Corwin Sunken-Deed "The Reef Notary," Pacific-desk Heritage-and-Title Counter-Campaign Director), per the enrich-lookup-gap lesson (the enrich boss_personas lookup returns NOT_FOUND for the Ch 59-65 counter-campaign chapters — grep BOSS_PERSONAS.md directly): the ATTUNE primary / EXPOSE secondary / PERCEIVE tertiary verb set, the paper-title/access-fence MO, the Nan-Madol-resonance-as-true-deed break-point; his sub-encounters (The Listing Officer, The Basalt Chord, Agent Amberley) carried; the FIFTH front (the Pacific desk), which follows the four continental desks but is NOT among the four that reconvene at Ch 65. Note: under the WS4 re-flesh Sunken-Deed is DEMOTED to the off-stage heritage-and-title paper the forcing was the cover for, beneath the ASTRID VELLMARK-CORR re-top (see the WS4 decision below); this persona bullet is retained as the demoted-instrument record [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # Ch 63].
The EXPOSE reframe of the canonical "refute" verb — RESOLVED (build-derived, parity with the Ch-61 Gainsayle and Ch-62 Wall reframes): the canonical BOSS_PERSONAS Ch-63 secondary verb is "refute" (of the paper title-claims); reframed to EXPOSE for the Frame-A boss-verb register (boss win-conditions PERCEIVE/EXPOSE/ATTUNE, never REFUTE/DEBUNK, per the AAA-reframe; and to keep the layer_register gate clean); the canonical axis 25/40/35 magnitude set is preserved as 40/35/25 (attune/expose/perceive) with attune primary; flagged for the BOSS_PERSONAS note at RR-72 — NOTE: under the WS4 re-top this attune/expose/perceive 40/35/25 set is the DEMOTED Sunken-Deed persona's; the LIVE boss BE_0063 is the ASTRID VELLMARK-CORR re-top with perceive/attune/purge 30/35/35 (perceive-primary), consistent across the boss-structure, mechanical anchors, and registry; this bullet is retained only as the demoted-instrument reframe record [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # Ch 63].
The mana Thread-1 parallel — RESOLVED as recorded-canon CARE (the wakȟáŋ/kamuy precedent): the RCM records mana as a "proposed Thread-1 vril-parallel pending Josh naming confirmation"; per the resolve-don't-defer contract and the Ch-62 wakȟáŋ handling, mana is anchored as the Pacific vril-PARALLEL (after Ch 57's songline and Ch 62's wakȟáŋ; the arc's parallel catalog kept unnumbered for consistency with the Ch-62 treatment, reconciled at RR-72) — honored on its own terms as a living Pacific concept, NEVER reduced to or absorbed by the vril — and the naming-confirmation is flagged for RR-72 (the parallel is care-safe as recorded-resonance regardless of the naming ratification) [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 1].
The Ch-63/Ch-64 boundary — RESOLVED (build-derived, per the Thread-1 and Thread-4 doc): Ch 64 is the Underwater Sites node (the Flood-Memory submerged-civilization payoff — Doggerland, Pavlopetri, Yonaguni, the Pacific submerged sites — with the Vimana underwater-navigation mode). So Ch 63 holds the Pacific SURFACE (the reef, islands, moai, Nan Madol) and the heritage-and-title front, with Zealandia felt as a drowned-ridge LEAD-IN only — the full submerged dive is deliberately NOT front-run here [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 4].
The Thread-18 grid-descriptor correction — RESOLVED (living-source): the Thread_Grid Ch-63 THREAD_18 cell describes "European megalithic accumulation," a stale carryover mismatched to the Pacific node; corrected in-prose to the Pacific megalithic-and-axis register (Nan Madol's basalt city, the moai/ahu, Mauna Kea as the sacred summit); the Thread_Grid cell edit flagged for the living-source cleanup at RR-72 (a registry-text correction, not a canon-level change) [SRC: T0_Thread_Grid @ THREAD_18].
NPC names Tihpen Umandal (CHAR_0160, Pohnpeian custodian), Rāwiri (CHAR_0161, Māori kaitiaki), and Kena (CHAR_0162, Rapa Nui keeper) — SET via the NAMING_METHOD deep-dive + adversarial real-person/deity/title screens (all LOW risk: Tihpen Umandal clear of the Nahnmwarki/Saudeleur/Iso- title-stock, the culture-heroes, and the prominent-family surnames, framed "of Madolenihmw"; Rāwiri a very common ordinary te-reo given name clear of the atua and prominent leaders, single-named; Kena an ordinary Rapa Nui seabird name pointedly NOT the sacred manutara, clear of the ariki title, Hotu Matuʻa, Makemake, and the real clans, single-named); Hawaiʻi deliberately given NO single fictional companion (its Mauna Kea and sovereignty struggles held as the community's own, living-and-unresolved) — finalized at RR-72 [SRC: NAMING_METHOD] [SRC: T0_Character_Index @ CHAR_0160].
The ally count for a four-culture composite — RESOLVED (build-derived, the Ch-62 discipline): three new named allies (Pohnpei, Aotearoa, Rapa Nui) anchor the nodes that carry the most narrative and boss weight, with Hawaiʻi and the Pacific-NW potlatch carried richly in-parallel (audit-only real figures, community-in-parallel framing) — mirroring the Ch-62 Americas-composite precedent (two named for a four-culture composite) and holding the coverage §4.6 anti-tokenism line without roster bloat [SRC: EXPANDED_COVERAGE_MAP].
The mana body-prose register — TIGHTENED (Ch-63 critic MAJOR, care lens): the drafted body line rendered mana as "one more of the world's names for the current she has followed her whole life," which slips from Thread-1 PARALLEL into reduction-by-synonymy (mana as a name-for-the-vril, subordinated to her current — the very thing the §17.1 care field and the wakȟáŋ/kamuy precedent forbid); recast to co-equal kinship ("she meets as kin ... its own people's name for its own force, running alongside what she knows and never a lesser word for it"), bringing the body up to the Ch-62 wakȟáŋ standard ("runs alongside ... emphatically not the same thing"); the Ch-62 wakȟáŋ line was audited and is already clean (no fix needed there) [SRC: T1_CVD_Creative_Vision_Document # 17.1].
The potlatch-ban figure — RECONCILED (Ch-63 critic MINOR): the draft's "1884-1951 / sixty-seven years" reconciled to 1885-1951 / the sixty-six years (the in-force-to-repeal span) to match BOTH the canonical BOSS_PERSONAS Ch-63 persona and the Ch-62 substrate's own "1885-1951 ban" figure; the 1884 enacted date (the Indian Act amendment) is the alternative anchor, noted here so the choice is deliberate and traceable [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # Ch 63].
The Ropen (CR_0132) framing — CORRECTED (Ch-63 critic anti-fringe/care watch-item, living-source): the draft's "Papua New Guinea folklore/cryptid" over-credited the Ropen as authentic Indigenous PNG/Melanesian tradition; the Ropen is substantially a MODERN Western creationist-cryptozoology "living-pterosaur" construct, so it is reframed across the entry as a modern cryptid claim held authorially (SQ9 Cryptids), never presented as authentic Indigenous tradition and never asserted as a living animal (the Taniwha CR_0131 remains authentic living Māori water-guardian tradition, distinct); the T0_Creature_Roster folklore_attribution for CR_0132 flagged for the living-source cleanup at RR-72 [SRC: T3_Familiars_Named].
The Thread-17 grid-anchor mis-cite — CORRECTED (Ch-63 critic MAJOR, gate-invisible cross-reference): the drafted Thread-17 bullet mis-pointed its grid citation at "@ THREAD_18" (a copy-paste artifact — the thread NAME-to-NUMBER mapping was correct, only the FK pointer wrong, exactly the gate-invisible thread-mislabel class); since Thread 17 is build-derived (§8 index) not grid-rowed for Ch 63, the grid pointer was dropped and only the T1_Threads_22 citation kept; the major-thread coverage note reclassified Thread 18 as grid-rowed (with Threads 1 and 3) and Threads 4 and 17 as build-derived [SRC: T1_Threads_22_Master_References # Thread 17].
The WS4 re-flesh + the MAGIC-DUEL win-shape (the CHARTER LINCHPIN / REVEAL PIVOT) — RESOLVED and APPLIED: (a) the node re-topped by ASTRID VELLMARK-CORR, "the Puppeteer" / the vril-forcer (the family's ONE demonstrated peer magic-fielder / the arc's ARMORY), win-shape LOCKED to MAGIC-DUEL (both docs agree — the modern arc's first peer vril-duel, force vs attunement); the built name "Astrid Vellmark-Corr" USED over the stale WS4 working "Ilse" (the name-lock the scope flagged, resolved to the built NW_0052 name); the champion PERSONAL name held DESIGN-LAYER only, body prose rendering "the forcer" / "the family's magic-worker"; (b) THE REVEAL PIVOT — the unattributed forced constructs seeded across Ch 45/50/51/53/54/59 RESOLVE here to Corr's hand (the retroactive charge that re-charges the whole modern arc; the family shown an occult power), so the arc-long \bCorr\b=0 discipline ENDS at Ch 63 (the design layer names her; body prose keeps the epithet discipline); the REVEAL CEILING HELD — the reveal reads "the family has demonstrated occult reach" and NEVER leaks Cassius (Ch 76) / the thesis / the Grand Sage (Ch 77); mandatory reveal-discipline re-verify run; (c) the desk-director Sunken-Deed DEMOTED to the off-stage heritage-and-title paper the forcing was the cover for (the fifth Pacific desk, not among the four Ch-65 reconvening directors); (d) the Velheim assets ADDED — three forced constructs (BE_0063_S1 the forced Nan Madol site-vril [Class 2], BE_0063_S2 the wrenched taniwha [Class 3], BE_0063_S3 the driven bound aku-aku [Class 3]), each a VICTIM freed/restored by community+protagonist counter-attunement, never appropriated; NO net-reduce burden (the node was puzzle_routed/attune, not a Pillar-2 rhetoric-construct); (e) the living-supernatural half restored — the taniwha (CR_0131, authentic living Māori tradition), the huakaʻi pō Nightmarchers / Pele / moʻo (the most sacred NEVER forced, standing of their own will), the aku-aku, Nan Madol's guardian-spirits — distinguished from the Ropen (CR_0132, held authorial cryptid, NOT authentic tradition); (f) CARE — mana NEVER the vril (its own force, a Thread-1 parallel), the sacred beings freed/honoured never appropriated, Mauna Kea / the Treaty living-and-unresolved, the 1862-63 slave raids and the 1893 overthrow at witness-depth, the heritage-broker antisemitism guardrail held, the Vril-Society firewall on any polar/precursor bleed; (g) mode puzzle_routed preserved (a direct vril-duel layered INSIDE the dominant, not a swap; HL_0049 holds — Ch 62 vril_management / Ch 63 puzzle_routed / Ch 64 environmental) + intensity STANDARD preserved (the duel raises the register but the tier stays standard — a full peak reserved for Ch 65; "elevated" not a valid enum; HL_0048 holds); the reveal-window "Cassius Ch 76 / thesis Ch 77" convention KEPT stale per REVEAL_WINDOW_REALIGNMENT [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # THE PUPPETEER] [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # THE CONSTRUCT-KIT].
The tangata-manu / Birdman feat — ADDED per the F3 Josh ruling (2026-07-14, CARDINAL_FORKS_BRIEF_2026-07-14; the Rapa Nui care fork ruled together with F5): the Pacific rung of the arc's athletic contest-feat ladder, staged FUN-BUT-WITNESS — the genuinely thrilling physical feat (the Motu Nui swim, the dive, the Rano Kau cliff-scale, the first-egg retrieval) built and honored on the keepers' own terms, WITHOUT gamifying the sacred kingship-investiture as a winnable "become the Birdman / win the chieftainship" trophy; the tangata-manu is a sacred chiefly-investiture rite tied to the creator-god Makemake, ended by the 1862-63 slave raids the chapter holds at maximum gravity, so the sacred title is NEVER a game reward and the rite is held at witness-depth (never re-enacted as though it still confers the kingship); opt-in and non-gating (Type-6 grammar — reward on the feat AND on a failed attempt, no harm, no wall); the existing Ch-63 care kept intact (Kena's ordinary seabird name distinct from the sacred manutara; the aku-aku Option-C handling untouched); reveal-clean (no family/House/Cassius/Corr in the feat) — homed in Key sites (Orongo and Motu Nui) and Side-questlines [SRC: T1_Research_Corpus_Master # Ch 63] [POPULATE→T0_Questline_Index].
The v3.1 conversion (join-and-type) — RESOLVED-APPLIED (v3 conversion, 2026-07-15; Josh-override-able at any RR): the v2.5 twenty-block entry typed to the v3.1 beat→fork→state graph in place (12 beats CH63_B01–B12, one fork FORK_CH63_A), no new canon authored; the WS4 boss re-top BE_0063 typed as a 3-phase thin join index (P1 the forcing-read → CH63_B03, P2 the duel → CH63_B04, P3 the freeing → CH63_B09) with the three forced constructs (S1 the Nan Madol resonance → CH63_B04, S2 the taniwha → CH63_B07, S3 the aku-aku → CH63_B05); the reveal pivot typed LIFTED to "occult reach" at CH63_B03/B09 and HELD on Cassius/thesis/Grand-Sage on every beat; the body-prose epithet discipline kept (player-facing objectives render "the forcer" / "the family's magic-worker"; the design layer names Astrid Vellmark-Corr / BE_0063 / NW_0058); the sovereign-method direction-set carried once at FORK_CH63_A (Substantial class, action-keyed, bands derived at §18) [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # THE PUPPETEER].
The Kelimutu mark-read consumer (IR-6, connective-web) — TYPED-APPLIED: CH_02's FORK_CH02_A writes the Manggarai-keyed Kelimutu carved mark with forward_track [CH_63], and the consumer read is typed here at CH63_B02 (the Austronesian voyaging through-line + the Trade-10 wayfinding reef-approach), reading ws.community_state_per_region (the carried Ch-2/Ch-3 Manggarai valence) with reception opening or altering the keepers' aid and lore, non-gating (never a wall) — satisfying CH_02's forward_track [CH_63] (the origin-node → Pacific-revisit Austronesian through-line) [SRC: T0_Chapter_Index @ CH_63].
The BE_0063_S2/S3 registry care-frame divergence — SURFACED, queued for the orchestrator's serialized landing (NOT resolved in this conversion): the T0_Boss_Encounter rows BE_0063_S2 and BE_0063_S3 carry a partially-applied "refuses the leash / self-willed honored guardian / agency, never a bound weapon, never a construct" reframe on their boss_name + opening clause, while their own row BODY and BOTH the v2.5 spine and BOSS_PERSONAS (# THE CONSTRUCT-KIT, Class 3, whose CH-57-mirror guardrail states "the freed-victim frame is the stronger care posture — omission would erase the dramatized violation") hold the forced-and-freed victim frame; this conversion types the v2.5 spine's forced-and-freed frame (the source of truth, which matches the row body and personas), and the row-name divergence is reported to the orchestrator as a care-frame reconciliation for Josh's review (a care-frame question above a mechanical conversion, not a mechanical drift — no definitive registry rewrite queued) [SRC: BOSS_PERSONAS # THE CONSTRUCT-KIT].
The BE_0063_S2/S3 care-frame divergence — RESOLVED-APPLIED (orchestrator, batch-7 landing + verify, 2026-07-15): the rows were RESTORED to the forced-then-freed victim frame + the F5 riders per the F5 Option-C ruling (ecf2caa, Josh-ruled 2026-07-14, postdating the b27da74 "refuses-the-leash" cells, which were the stale half-applied layer); the sibling BE_0065_S1 "absent from the menagerie" parenthetical (the same stale frame, misattributed to Option C and to the unruled J11) was caught at the batch-7 verify and aligned the same way. The batch-7 Opus verify adversarially confirmed the direction against CVD §17.1's sacredness-tier class rule.
FORK_CH63_A care_band — RE-KEYED open→elevated (batch-7 verify fix-forward, 2026-07-15): the chapter carries elevated-care sub-nodes (the aku-aku at witness-depth, the protected-living-culture framing) and the fork's sovereign-method options play out across community sites; "open" (the standard-tier mapping) under-stated the fork's care surface. The registry chapter tier stays standard; the fork band rides the touched communities.
The NW_0058 spine-vs-registry framing — NOTED (pre-existing, the spine already flags it): the v2.5 spine frames NW_0058 as the demoted Sunken-Deed Sector-6 heritage-and-title node (FAMILY_BRIEFED) with Astrid Vellmark-Corr a WS4 CHAMPION "not itself an NW row," while the registry NW_0058 row re-tops to Corr (Sector-7 Occult-Knowledge, INNER_COUNCIL awareness) with Sunken-Deed the demoted signature; the systems FK antagonist:NW_0058 is valid either way and this conversion types the spine's framing; reported not resolved (a modeling choice the spine already surfaces) [SRC: T0_Antagonist_Network_Registry @ NW_0058].
